Fianna, Ebon Rose of Dark Majesty
- Faux Affably Evil: While she seems agreeable and generally friendly, if a bit too friendly, it's very clear that it's a thin mask. Her manse, after all, has male sex slaves that she's completely broken into her service.
- Nerves of Steel: Fianna never really loses her composure and always seems endlessly amused. The one time her composure did weaken, it was when the Mask of Winters threatened her if she should failure. Which is understandable.
- Put on a Bus: Fianna got reassigned to help keep the Lookshy nobles placated.
- Bus Crash: Courtesy of Lu Xu.
- The Hedonist: Full. Stop. Her own Manse is a pleasure palace staffed by male sex slaves.
- The Vamp: YES
Heaven Piercing Spear / Lu Xu
- Be Careful What You Wish For: When she was a little girl and lonely, she dreamed of having friends. Unfortunately, Markarios heard her...
- Blood Knight: Enjoys the challenge of a good fight, as her response on seeing Angus tear apart two mercenaries is to immediately challenge him to a fight.
- Challenge Seeker: Elaborating on the above, Spear revels in a challenge, especially when it comes to fighting.
- Determinator
So think me a fool who charges in without thinking, but I'll NEVER hesitate. I can literally be sure of nothing and I'll still advance into the unknown with all the courage I can muster and no one will stand in my way.
- Expy: Heavily inspired by Lu Bu. No word on whether pursuing her is a bad idea yet.
- Friendly Neighborhood Vampire: By all rights, very amiable and friendly for a deathknight. At least, until she was Purified.
- In Harm's Way: Part and Parcel to the Blood Knight lifestyle
- Made of Iron: Can be a veritable wall of impenetrability even without Charms.
- Pet the Dog: And the Rabbit and the Cat and the Mouse and the Scavvy...
- Redemption Earns Life
- Refuge in Audacity: Decides that, in order to trap Fortune, she should set up a trap with a cardboard box and a leek on a plate. It almost works, much to everyone else's confoundment, but Fortune gets away.
- Worthy Opponent: Finds one in Grim Surveyor of Skulls who returns the sentiment.
Orpheus, Minstrel of the Masque at World's End
- The Bard: He is a travelling musician, after all.
- Put on a Bus: Wanders off to do mysterious things.
Aldis, The Chained Warden of Souls
- Soul Jar: Aldis has one and, true to her title, she uses this to collect souls.
- Amazonian Beauty: A given, since she's both a woman and a Dusk Caste
Angus, Obsessive Seeker of Wrath
- Berserk Button: Don't, DON'T call him weak or useless. Unless you don't enjoy having limbs.
- Blood Knight: With a heavy emphasis on blood.
- Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: While not exactly a moron, Angus, on the surface, seems to be overly blunt and only prone to solving problem with violence. However, he is more cunning than he lets on, being the one to correctly deduce the weakness to the Grim Surveyor's Black Hole technique.
- Determinator Angus has a very stubborn personality, which resulted in requiring two separate people months trying to get him to make a Heel–Face Turn. Physically speaking, only two people have managed to stymie Angus for any length of time, one of them using deception (he was an Abyssal who Resonance Bombed right in front of Angus) and the other was his Lunar mate, who he was Geassed from using Essence on him. Not even a city-sized slab of flying temple managed to keep him from killing half of a Sidereal group intent on stopping them.
- Extreme Omnivore: A type 1. Has eaten things that range from crab legs seasoned with the equivalent of Ghost Peppers, shell and all, to a HUMAN HEART.
- Heel–Face Turn
- Faux Affably Evil: Seems very friendly and affable, but one small insult and the facade drops.
- Hair-Trigger Temper: Angus has no buffer between peaceful and exploding in rage.
- Sharp-Dressed Man
- Slasher Smile: His introduction described him with as always having a smile on his face. Like a shark.
- Villain Protagonist: Is easily the most nefarious of the player characters and has a complete disregard for human life. At least, until his Heel–Face Turn.
Vladen Greywolf
- Badass Bureaucrat: Part of the job description as a Sidereal, especially a Chosen of Battles.
- Berserk Button: Fortune is one of the few things capable of cracking his calm demeanor.
- Paper-Thin Disguise: One that was broken by the very basic form of the Anima. (Glittering in the form of Vladen's mark and the stars in his eyes.
- The Social Darwinist: At one point, explains at length about how A Million Is a Statistic and his willingness to sacrifice for the greater good.
- The Stoic
Garius Blackthorne
Harmonious Sky Blossom
- All-Loving Hero: High Compassion.
- Beware the Nice Ones: Though Spear did the Deed, it was Blossom that arranged Kaan's death. She also dropped a wall onto an invading army with charms and rage
- Improvised Weapon: Managed to weaponize her Crafting skills.
- The Heart: Easily the emotional center of the player-characters.
- Sixth Ranger
- Token Good Teammate: When among Kaan's company.
Antevaan Kaan
- Dark and Troubled Past: Most Infernal Exalts seem to have them.
- Faux Affably Evil: Always seems friendly and affable, but if you don't do what he wants his facade quickly cracks and he becomes cruel and manipulative.
- Impaled with Extreme Prejudice:Heaven Piercing Spear takes him out this way. With no warning. From a few city blocks away.
- Manipulative Bastard
- Smug Snake
- Stepford Smiler: He relates his story to Heaven Piercing Spear, and it's plain to see that he's hollow behind the smile.
- Tongue Trauma: Has a tongue made of alabaster. Logically, in order for him to have this, he somehow lost his previous one.
Scavenger of Secrets Lost
- Ambiguous Gender: Most people use female pronouns, but Scavenger doesn't seem to care.
- Averted: Has been confirmed to be female.
- Cool Mask: A plague doctor mask.
- Evil Laugh: Kehehehehe.
- In-Series Nickname: Most people call 'im Scav or Scavvy.
- Mad Scientist: A prerequisite of becoming a Defiler.
- The Faceless: Never takes off the mask
- Throw Down the Bomblet: Has devised chemical explosives potent enough to melt people into puddles of goo.
Grim Scythe the Reaps the Last Breath of Fallen Foes / Lionhearted Avantus
- Overly Long Name: Even by most Abyssal standards.
- Averted once he is Purified.
- Redemption Earns Life
Justice in White
- Deal with the Devil: How he got his power from Kaan. He traded off his Vision in order to gain an exaltation, but when he got it he couldn't do anything with it because he had lost his vision of the future.
- Failure Hero: The first thing he does when he appears is lose a fight.
- Hero Antagonist: Seems to have genuinely good intentions, but nonetheless gets in the party's way.
- Hot-Blooded
- Idiot Hero: Literally incapable of foresight.
Shogun Rangers
- Goldfish Poop Gang: Largely ineffectual when they tried to help fight Justice in White. Their primary contribution was dogpiling him so they could strip off his armor.
Leads With His Teeth
- Hidden Badass: Is, in all likelihood, a Sidereal.
Fortune
- Actually a Doombot: When caught by Heaven Piercing Spear, it turned out that she hadn't been caught at all, and what they caught was a Robo-Fortune. Made of Paper Mache.
- Obfuscating Insanity: According to Vladen, she acts odd and relies on chance as a front to deflect suspicion.
- Put on a Bus: Has been implied that she's been indisposed.
- Woman Scorned: May have a history with Vladen.
