This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Okay, the following is what I'd like added to Mormonism (again, under the media section):
The author Orson Scott Card is also a practicing Mormon who has also written some Mormon fiction, and Mormon themes and ideas show up in a lot of his speculative fiction works. The Tales of Alvin Maker is a fantastic retelling by Card of Joseph Smith Jr.'s life, and some of the metaphysics of the Enderverse are lifted directly from Mormon doctrine. His Homecoming series is more or less a space-faring adaptation of specific sections of the Book of Mormon.

On Administrivia, under "Historical Pages", there is a link to Administrivia.Weirdest Inbound Link Of The Day. However, said page is is found under the Just for Fun namespacenote . I assume I (or someone else) should put it under the Just for Fun page, and the link under Administrivia should be removed.

Hi guys. I'd like to request a few edits to the Double Standard page.
1) Beauty Is Never Tarnished, currently under 'Sexist Against Men', should be removed since it's used a lot in visual media and affects men and women pretty equally.
2) After The Dulcinea Effect, in 'Sexist Aginst Men', it should say: A man inexplicably decides to risk his life for a random chick, implying his life is less valuable than hers.
3) Never a Self-Made Woman, currently under 'Sexist Against Either', should be moved to 'Sexist Against Women' since it isn't sexist to men at all.
4) "Defiled Forever: The idea that extramarital sex, including sexual assault, morally corrupts and/or defiles a woman forever, to the point of barring them from marriage and/or True Love." should be added to 'Sexist Against Women'.
5) A Man Is Always Eager, currently under 'Sexist Against Women' (between the L and M entries for some reason), should be moved to 'Sexist against Either' and it should read:
"A Man Is Always Eager: This is also one of, if not the defining factor of Double Standard Rape: Female on Male; the idea that men cannot be raped by women because no man could ever be unwilling to have sex. On the flip side, women see sex as a chore and are never completely "ready" for it, and sometimes, they never recover from their traumatic first time."
