By emphatic royal decree delivered by MacronNotes, April Fools joke proposals for Complete Monster entries are not allowed in the main proposal thread (and I'd assume the same applies to the thread for Magnificent Bastard proposals too).

But fret not, I have a solution.

For starters, I have the perfect character for proposal as a Complete Monster.

What's The Work?

"Character specifically made to be a Complete Monster" is an article originally published on the Villains Fanon Wiki, which is a multi-media wiki for villains from assorted fan works. Note that the Villains Fanon Wiki has no unified canon as it's a wiki for several different stories.

Who Is He? What Has He Done?

Character Specifically Made to Be A Complete Monster, also called My Character (Villain) Here, is the titular main protagonist of the aforementioned article. He knows the difference between right and wrong, but specifically chose wrong and accepts being evil. He doesn't have any honour, dignity, or remorse. He isn't insane, tragic, affable, or played for laughs.

He committed several crimes such as doxxing people, cyberbullying people, stealing money from a store, committing vandalism, doing drugs, and jaywalking. His goal in all of this is to "destroy reality and recreate it or some shit" and he did all of these out of sadism with no remorse for his actions. In fact he had a moment of Redemption Rejection, which shows that he could have been good but specifically chose not to be. He crossed the Moral Event Horizon when he ate a baby (even though he was hungry, that doesn't justify eating a baby, since there are other things he could have eaten).

Mitigating Factors?

None. One might argue that he has problems with moral agency since his name is "Character Specifically Made to Be A Complete Monster," which implies he's Made of Evil. However that's only his out-of-universe creator-given name; In-Universe his name is "My Character (Villain) Here" and he's explicitly stated to have sufficient moral agency in canon.

Heinousness Standards?

As said before, Villains Fanon Wiki hosts several different canons, so My Character (Villain) Here has no competition with other villains. The only people mentioned in his story are himself, his many victims, and the narrator. Therefore, he automatically passes the Heinousness Standards of his 'verse.

Final Verdict?

Bottom Text.

[tdown]Too much Fridge Horror and is only a CM in-name only. Any visible proof that he eats babies? Nah. Doxxing people? Cyberbullying people? Stealing money from a store? Committing vandalism? Doing drugs? And Jaywalking? He's not the only villain or character to do so. Everybody he sees also do the same, out of their own free will...even the heroes.

Any crimes he does are just that: Implications without concrete proof.

What's the work?

Office Space, a 1999 workplace comedy film by Mike Judge.

Who is Bill Lumbergh? What does he do?

Bill Lumbergh is the film's main antagonist, the incompetent boss at Initech, where the film takes place. He is immediately introduced as a Hate Sink, a condescending jackass who talks down to his employees and has a strange obsession with TPS reports.

This wouldn't be enough on its own, obviously, but there are two things in particular that I believe really push him over the line. The first is when he tells Peter to come into work on Saturday and Sunday. The stress of Peter's job is having a profoundly negative effect on his mental health, something Lumbergh is either ignorant or apathetic to. He was really looking forward to a fishing trip, which would have undoubtedly improved his mind greatly. Lumbergh takes the first opportunity he can get to smash this down and keep Peter under his thumb.

The second is his treatment of Milton throughout the movie. Lumbergh seems to take a sadistic pleasure in torturing poor Milton, repeatedly moving his desk, exiling him to dark corners of the building, and taking away his beloved red stapler. This is not only immoral, but illegal as well; Milton is not actually employed at Initech at all, having been let go a number of years ago. However, nobody told him this, and he still receives a paycheck due to a glitch in the payroll system. This culminates in Milton being driven to burn down the whole building, something which could've resulted in possibly hundreds of deaths. These would all be on Lumbergh's hands, as he was the one who provoked it.

Does he meet the heinous standard?

He sets it, easily. Though he has competition from the Bobs, they pale in comparison by virtue of the fact that they genuinely seem to think they're doing what's best for the company, ignorant though they may be. Lumbergh, by contrast, is nothing but a passive-aggressive bully.

Any redeeming qualities?

While he certainly tries to appear friendly, it's all just an act, and not even a good one. He quite obviously thinks of his employees as beneath him.

Verdict? [tup]

Switching to a [tdown] on m-95's guy. [tup] to Lumbergh.

Heads up, we are looking for a select group of tropers to do a deep dive into a franchise the rest of TV Tropes will never even think of in their entire lives. We shall need a subpage due to how many keeps I estimate we shall end up with.

I will also be personally proposing a James Bond villain in the near future. Stay tuned.

I debated on whether or not to discuss this character, but now I think it is proper time.

What is the Work?

The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past is a game in the Zelda franchise on the SNES (later ported to the GBA, which is the version I grew up with). In it, the evil wizard Agahnim conquers the kingdom and captures girls from across the place to "sacrifice" them or whatever, and Link is awoken when Zelda sends a psychic message to him to free her. An epic adventure ensues, spanning across two whole dimensions!

Now, I bet you're thinking Agahnim is the candidate, but this is incorrect, for the character I'm really going to discuss dwarfs him in evil. In fact, he does it so much that we will probably have to cut the entire Zelda CM page after this because they all fail in heinousness compared to him.

Who is Moldorm? What does he do?

Wouldn't you like to know?

In all seriousness, Moldorm is the third boss encountered in the game, at the top of the Tower of Hera. This bug-like creature aggressively goes for Link's blood, and can cause him to get pushed back if he attacks the abomination in any place but the tip of its tail. The more it takes damage, the angrier it gets. But what makes it so evil, you may ask? Well, I'm glad you asked! Moldorm takes a sickening amount of pleasure in forcing Link to fall to floors below, likely causing blunt trauma as he hits the ground. The GBA port even adds the visceral detail of him making a haunting scream as he plunges into the depths. Doing this resets the battle over and over again, so he can endlessly torture Link for eternity. And sure, we only see him do this to Link, but who's to say he hasn't been doing this to countless other adventurers who also underwent a Fate Worse than Death like this.

Even worse, once Moldorm dies, this is when Agahnim's forces break into the sanctuary, kill Zelda's protector and kidnap her, meaning that Moldorm alerted them to there with its dying breath, all out of spite.

And as an added detail, this thing is annoying to fight.

Mitigating factors?

Like asking if water is wet.

Heinous standard?

Obliterates it, stomps its vaporized remains, and then blasts the spot that was stomped into oblivion 6 times. If you played the game, you will understand.

Verdict?

A more solid keeper than titanium

Moldorm is actually a personality-less boss enemy with no real crimes

What's the work?

The Superdictionary is a children's dictionary by DC. And despite the name, no, there is no Superdickery to be found. Except from our candidate, of course.

Who is Lex Luthor? What has he done?

When no-one was looking, Lex Luthor took forty cakes. That's as many as four tens. And That's Terrible.

Mitigating factors

None that Lex usually has. He's just motivated by greed this time around.

Does he meet the heinous standard?

Do you see anyone else stealing forty cakes or more? Because of his terrible deed, he is the heinous standard.

[tup] to Moldorm and Lex Luthor (FORTY CAKES?! That MONSTER!)

Now here’s my extremely serious CM EP:

  • What is the work?

SpongeBob SquarePants is a 1999 extremely serious show with many dark and brooding characters and moments and totally serious and nasty villains but one stands above them all.

  • Who is Sheldon J. Plankton? What has he done?

“What has he DONE?!” What HASN’T this pure evil son of a gun done?! This bastard has constantly tried to STEAL THE KRABBY PATTY SERCRET FORMULA! That fiend! HE WENT TO COLLEGE! He sells disgusting chum for food to his customers and mind controlled everyone in Bikini Bottom to become his slaves in a TOTALLY And I Must Scream situation that DEFINITELY doesn’t rely on Fridge Horror or anything.

  • Mitigating Factors? Freudian Excuse?

None. Zilch. Nada. He is totally one hundred percent serious and totally seriously taken at all times and has absolutely zero love for any computer wife or pet or redeeming qualities and definitely has no Enemy Mine moments at all. He’s dead serious and he wants you to KNOW it.

  • Heinous Standard

Sponge Bob as we all know has a GIGANTIC heinous standard that makes Dragon Ball’s and Star Wars’ heinousness standards look small by comparison, but this bastard stands out above all villains in Sponge Bob by comparison.

  • Final Verdict

Absolute [tup]. No questions asked.

Alright, I've done my fair share of CM proposals (one), so now I'm going to shake it up with a Magnificent Bastard proposal instead. See also my proposal on the Magnificent Baddie Wiki for a mirror post.

What's The Work?

Puss in Boots: The Last Wish is a 2022 animated film by Dreamworks.

Who Is He? What Has He Done?

Big Jack Horner is one of the main antagonists of Puss In Boots: The Last Wish. Based on the nursery rhyme "Little Jack Horner," this interpretation of Jack is a crime lord who seeks to use the Wishing Star so he can gain all the world's magic.

Is He Magnificent?

Of course he is. Jack Horner is regularly shown to be very intelligent and compitent. For examples:

  • He stole countless magical artifacts and stored them in his fortress so that he may use them as weapons.
  • When packing his stuff near the start of the film, he carefully makes sure to pack his magic snacks to use for later. When the final battle takes place near the end of the film, these magic snacks come in handy, showing that Jack is good at long-term planning.
  • He's a combat pragmatist who uses the phoenix as a flamethrower, uses Cinderella's pumpkin-carriage as a tank, and uses Excalibur with the rock still on it as a mace/warhammer.
  • Not willing to use an untested weapon in actual combat, but also running out of time to test them, Jack improvised by shooting his own men with the uniorn horns he had in his crossbow. This is one of his most magnificent moments of tactical genius, and might very well be his single most genius move in the whole film.
  • He improvised by using his own men as a bridge to cross a ravine. He also has a good grasp of priorities, going "pew-pew!" with his magic wand when his servant is dying.
  • He showed a very good grasp on how to be pragmatic in saying that you "can't bake a pie without losing a dozen men," as some short-term sacrifices must be made to attain a long-term goal.
  • He rejoins the final battle when Puss and Kitty have defeated most of their enemies, using the magic snacks to make himself giant and catch them off-guard.
  • He doesn't fall for Perrito's trap as he's "dead inside." Granted, Perrito came up with a new plan on the spot that worked against Jack, but this only proves that Perrito is incredibly smart much like Jack, perhaps (dare I say) even smarter.

He's also a very charming and charismatic antagonist:

  • He's tall. I mean, look at the guy. Literally the Gigachad meme. It seems minor, but trust me, it plays into his general charisma.
  • He has a tragic backstory. He grew up with almost nothing in life: only loving parents, stability, a mansion, a thriving baked goods enterprise, and other useless crap like that. But despite his upbringing, he doesn't let his past define them. His motive as a villain is to use the Wishing Star, and all he wants from it is all of the magic in the world. For him. Nobody else gets any. Is that so much?
  • He's Affably Evil, too. He lets the Ethical Bug — a critter who bugs him about ethics — sit on his shoulder even though it hates him. He only flicks the bug away when it starts calling him an "irredeemable monster." When the Ethical Bug says his humble wish is too much, Jack just says "Agree to disagree!" and moves on with his life.
  • When Baby Bear threatens him, he isn't scared, and shoots the bear away while saying "that was weird," showing he's very brave.

Mitigating Factors?

Nope. Even in his death, he's calculating how he could have avoided this. ("What did I do to deserve this? I mean what specifically?")

Is He A Bastard? Is He Too Much Of One?

Big Jack Horner is certainly a morally complicated character. See, on one hand, he shows very little care when watching his own men die in the situations he sends them in. On the other hand, this is done out of necessity since you "can't bake a pie without losing a dozen men" as he puts it. However a villainous deed done out of pragmatic necessity is still a villainous deed.

Final Verdict?

[tup][tup][tup][tup][tup] Yes!!!1!!11!!!1

Alright, I've got a "delightfully devilish" Magnificent Bastard candidate here

What is the work?

Steamed Hams is a short sketch where a superintendant goes to have a lunch prepared by a principal of a local elementary school, and that principle is our candidate.

Who is the candidate and what have they done?

Seymour Skinner is the aforementioned school principal and the host of the meal that serves as the backbone of the sketch. In said sketch, he discovers that the meat he was cooking is on fire (his "roast is ruined", as he puts it) and quickly hatches a plan to order fast food and "disguise it as his own cooking"

Magnificence

Throughout Steamed Hams, Skinner does a lot of thinking on his feet, and is able to keep up his lie and fool Chalmers through many close calls. From thinking of the plan in the first place, to then being able to brush off almost being caught escaping through the window as him just stretching his legs on the windowsill, to convincing Chalmers that the fire in his kitchen is just a result of Northern Lights, in the end he successfully impresses Chalmers with his cooking skills, despite never even cooking anything, and while he comments on him being an "odd fellow", he seems to have been convinced by his many lies.

Bastardry

Well, he does essentially gaslight Chalmers throughout the sketch, making him think that he said "steamed hams" when in reality he said "steamed clams", and convincing him that "steamed hams" is an actual expression used in Albany, and he tries to pass off other people's work as his own. In addition, he endangers his mother by refusing to put an end to his charade until Chalmers is gone. He is implied to go back to save her in the end, but he still priortises his job security over his own mother's life.

Final Verdict

I think he could qualify based on him being able to succesfully spin so many on the spot lies, and the bastardry is clearly there. However, he does allow his roast to get burned in the first place, and doesn't put out the fire, which could be seen as disqualifying carelessness. I'll leave it up to you.

I'm going to nominate perhaps the most monstrous character in professional wrestling history, John Cena.

What is the work?

The work is WWE, a very dark wrestling show that is known for serious a wrestling storylines, In comparison to other wrestling companies. I shouldn't have to explain anything else, as I'm sure everyone else is familiar with them.

Who is John Cena? What has he done?

John Cena is a Heel who has managed to convince millions of people around the world that he is a Face, but for me and a select group of people who spend all our time online, we know the actual truth of this monster.

This man is responsible for nearly killing WWE, constantly showing that his "Hustle, Loyalty, Respect" slogan is nothing but a LIE!

His most vile deeds

Mitigating Factors? Freudian Excuse?

None at all, everything I said is 1000% truthful

Heinous Standard?

did you read the list? Guys like ministry Taker, Vince Mc Mahon, Jake the snake Roberts, or Raven just can't compare.

Final Verdict

Definitely deserves to be on the Complete Monster list, and you should trust me, I'm' a major expert on this stuff.
