Making disambigs for works that share names...

Since SD pages aren't gonna have subpages, it might not need disambig.

the issue as i saw it was that the SD page is showing up as a subpage for the Music page, which i didn't think was kosher; unrelated works aren't supposed to do that and SD isn't an official thing, it's JFF.

also, the Laconic page is for the SD page, so that needs to be cut, but let's hash this out first.

Should probably disambig Webcomic.Forward from Fanfic.Forward...

- Only need to disambig Fanfic because that's a unlicensed work. But it's also the focus of Characters.Forward, so more of a task than most.

Film.Martin needs to be moved to Film.Martin 1978 and Series.Martin to Series.Martin 1992 per this ATT.

Should we make a banner saying how to request history-preserving page moves, like I do here?

Does the original title of Literature.Vampires, have a $ or not? Goodreads: More Editions seems to indicate the oldest one has the $, and the 1992 on Wikipedia has no $.

It seems all editions except the 2008 (not the latest) one use Vampire$ in the title.

Anime.Bakuten Shoot Beyblade and Manga.Bakuten Shoot Beyblade are known as just "Beyblade" in English, but that would cause collision with Franchise.Beyblade. The anime and manga have different start years and share subpages; there is no separation between manga and anime examples, and many concern both versions. This means that if they were to be disambiguated by year, it would be a complicated process. If there were a way to disambiguate them such that they could keep the same title, then the subpages wouldn't need to be split. Maybe "Beyblade (First Series)"?

I have an issue with two fanfics with the same name but from two different fandoms that contain vastly different content.

Ghost Of You

The first one is a Harry Potter fanfic made by the authors of My Immortal. And the one I am trying to create a new page for is a Voltron fanfic. Should I just use the year it was published or the author's name? Mild Cookie 44

- Fanfics usually go with Author's Name, likely because they can be made so often that Year is too imprecise.

I feel like Fanfic.Ghost Of You Harry Potter would be better for Tara and Raven's fic, because it dodges the co-author problem entirely.

- And I guess we can add years if someone ever decides to make another one in the same fandom.

If another HP fic shows up with that title, we still have author disambiguation as a backup, even if Fanfic.Ghost Of You Raven And Tara Gilesbie isn't exactly concise.

I don't want to start an edit war by claiming a pre-existing page even if it might fix some things. Though it is something that should probably be discussed.

Considering the sheer amount of fanfics that share titles even in the same fandoms and sometimes during the same years.

Should it be rule of thumb to use author's name for pre-existing Fanfic page? And use fandom in cases where there are multiple authors.

Like in the case of Ghost Of You for future reference.

And even that avenue exhausted with the possibility of a Fanfic with co-authors, in the same fandom and same name, use years? (It's unlikely but hey its the internet who knows)

It's not like the page Ghost Of You isn't being updated either. Quite a good few troopers have been making gradual updates to the page, the most recent of which being yesterday. In fact it was only recently created too.

I'll probably use Ghost Of You Voltron or Ghost of You (MildCookie44) for now. Thanks for the advice.

We need to move Ghost Of You anyway since we can't prioritize one name over the other. I'm fine with "(Harry Potter)" suffix.

Probably gonna move that fanfic, but in other things, we have issues with Doors.

VideoGame.Mother since everything else goes to Main.Mother?
