Connie: Always my mom.
Eldon: Always my dad. (Though I've rarely seen the name Eldon anywhere else anyway)
Wheezy: A nickname, not a name, but always reminds me of one of the most awful humans I've ever known. Like, I feel deep rage whenever I hear the word.
I take it you have a hard time having sympathy for the squeak toy penguin from Toy Story 2.
Anyway, for me, I have a One Mario Limit for my siblings' names since they're the only people I've known personally (or even in works, etc.) to have them. (But they are real names.)
"Don't cry because it's over, cry because it happened."I'd feel weird using my name or my bf's name in pretty much anything I'd ever make.
Are you ready? Go live!Reo: always the blond girl in my avatar.
Where there's life, there's hope. While it's not a name per se, I always see the acronym SNK as the game company that made the Neo Geo and KOF, not an anime about edgy teenagers slicing giants by the neck.
"DIO is the ultimate being! The being of the future! Dare you not to rival me!"- Sherbet, Elias, and Flare always call to mind the girls from Panel de Pon.
- Callie and Marie are forever the Squid Sisters now. Pearl and Marina aren't quite there yet.
- The name "Bonnie" only evokes the Pokemon character now.
- Plus a bunch of more typical stuff, like Ryu and Ken bringing to mind the Street Fighter characters and such.
Alex reminds me of a friend I had on Tumblr once. I won't go into all the details, but they were a dear friend and I regret falling out of touch with them. They're genderfluid, though I think more masculine-leaning - when I knew Alex they went by they/them pronouns, so that's how I address them.
I still have this particular friend on Facebook, but I never use it and I feel awkward trying to make contact. They actually got married in 2016 - I'm super happy for them, but it doesn't lessen the awkwardness of responding to posts and stuff. But I still consider this person a dear friend from a time that's passed, and when I hear the name Alex I think of this person in particular.
Come sail your ships around me, and burn your bridges down.Ridley will forever be the homicidal dragon from Metroid.
Serris is a speed-boosting water snake, even if it is a city in France (look it up.)
Termina is Void Termina, not the place in Majora’s Mask.
Anything ever designated 173 or 682 makes me think of the SCP foundation.
Talus is always a rock monster from Zelda, even if it is a type of bone.
How unfortunate that you are attempting to deceive me.Pretty much any name given to a significant character in a Pokémon game will forever be associated with that character for me. The one exception I can think of is "Bianca," which brings to mind a certain leporine sorceress-in-training.
The name "Kira" usually gets me thinking of Kiraritchi from the Tamagotchi series. Similarly, the word "hime" (Japanese for "princess") almost invariably makes me think of the character Himespetchi.
Christian was the name of a boy who bullied me in second grade. I still find myself automatically disliking anyone with that name.
The first "Hunter" I ever met was a girl, so I have a hard time imagining guys with that name. So when a character named Hunter Zolomon comes along...

In kindergarten a knew a girl named Monique. She's white, so it took me a while to realize it's considered more of a black girl name.
- Any set of numbers with three numbers in it is related to the SCP Foundation, unless it's 420.
- The abbreviation "GF" is Game Freak, not "girlfriend".
- Saitama is the character instead of the prefecture.
- Anybody named Akira or Ren is automatically Joker in my mind.
- A lot of gemstone-related names instantly make me think of Steven Universe characters these days (even though I kind of lost interest in SU because I felt like I didn't really "belong" in the fandom anymore/didn't really care about the show anymore - I only watched season 2 and half of season 3 for a certain character and their arc, then dropped the show forever because I lost interest after my favourite character was out of the spotlight and the show just didn't appeal that much to me anymore.)
- The names Persephone or Callum which I associate with the main characters from Noughts & Crosses.
- Woody always makes me think of Woody from Toy Story and nothing else.
- Albert which always makes me think about Flamingo.

i think i’m in love (probably just hungry)Thanks to my being such a big fan of the movie since I was a kid (as well as being one of my first crushes), the word "aurora" makes me think more of the princess than the lights in the sky. ^_^;;
Flora is the most beautiful member of the Winx Club. :)- My first name. Won't say what it is.
- Joey. Name of a Complete Monster classmate in highschool.
- KIA and MIA are military terms for soldiers who didn't make it. Nothing about cars.
- FF is Friendly Fire. What's Final Fantasy?
- PC is Personal Computer. Political Correctness is a fad that belongs in the 90's.
- Cortez is that badass space marine in Timesplitters. Though AOC doesn't do anything that harms that name's image.
I got a few more to bring up.
- Corrine (or Corinne) is a woman who worked with me at a day program I used to go to.
- Katrina was once the hurricane. Now it’s a girl I met in community college.
- Indigo is a girl I met at sleep-away camp.
- Leah is my first girlfriend, also from sleep-away camp.
- Scarlett and Gianna are girls I met from a camp I went to back in 2007-08.
Kelvin is a unit of measurement for temperature, but for me it is first and foremost the name of my dad.
Oh yeah, Kelvin is a camp counselor to me.
I no longer edit on TV Tropes but will continue as an occasional forum poster.Lars is the name of one of my grandparents.
"Listen up, Marina, because this is SUPER important. Whatever you do, don't eat th“ “DON'T EAT WHAT?! Your text box ran out of space!”When I was reading A Game of Thrones, the TV adaptation was out but I hadn't seen it yet- I kept picturing Eddard Stark as Ned Flanders of all people, just because people sometimes called him Ned.
Earth is the only planet inhabitable by Nicolas Cage.Ned seems to remind me more of Ned Bigby.

Are there any names that you associate solely wih one person, whether or not you know them, and nobody else. Keep examples to being ones that are only examples on a personal level.
- My name is Guy, and I always associate the name with me above anyone else.
- Romy, which I solely associate with my mother. Likewise Edith will always be my grandmother.
- Lexi reminds me of an old camp crush.
- Hunter: Makes me think of a classmate.
- Connie: I know only one Connie in real life.
- Jeanne: I used to associate the name with a school aide who looked like Ursula from the Little Mermaid. That changed in recent years when I met a Jeanne in my high school.
- Nathaniel: An old preschool friend of mine.
- Sydney, Monica, Tess, Martina: For a long time associated it with early crushes of mine. Of the latter two, ne of them I haven't seen in ages and one got fat quickly. And I know a few other Sydneys and Monicas now.
- Molly: I will always associate this name with a camp counselor who I liked. She was just one year older than me (I was 19 at the time).
