It was deemed an In Universe Examples Only and No Real Life Examples Please trope (in part due to being redundant with Broken Base), and efforts to clean it it up were implemented. It was deemed here by mod Fighteer that any non-In Universe Examples Only examples should be cut.

However, there is 814 uses of this trope on YMMV pages, which given their nature, is almost certainly in violation. With 1446 total wicks, That's a near 60% misuse, not even going into how they may be used on other pages (the use on Acceptable Political Targets violates No Real Life Examples Please and possibly ROCOJ.

That it potentially rounds to 100% misuse shows a serious problem with this trope as is.

I'd say it be removed from YMMV tropes, like was done for Dude, Not Funny!, since In Universe Examples Only and No Real Life Examples Please means any YMMV use of this trope is misuse. That would also give us an excuse to do the necessary clean up.
