5/7 not enough focus on the guns

The game certainly looks pretty cool, but I do wish that they give us a bit more information. Knowing the name of the playable characters would be nice, for one. I do love that they integrate characters from Tales from the Borderlands into this one, though, especially since best boi Loader Bot seems to be one of the new Vault Hunters.

But yeah, I'm actually most curious about the guns. Borderlands is a first-person shooter first and foremost, so the firearms you get to wield are like the co-stars of the show. My biggest complaint about the previous two three games is that there is little visual distinction between guns except for their paintjob. From the glimpses we've got, they seem to be improving on this. Also, Atlas is back thanks to Rhys as their acting CEO, so I'm glad about that too.

Oh, right. I forgot to add that the Gun with Legs is super cute.

Plenty. I'll just name 3 that come to mind.

• Tears of Light in the Dark Realm from The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks (a very fast 7/8 time piece).

• The Battle for Tomorrow from HeartCatch Pretty Cure!. This is my go-to choice of Theme Music Power-Up.

• Weapons Factory from Super Mario RPG (famously in 13/8 time and also has a blistering fast tempo).

Yeah... don't ask how I can autopilot these things. It's something you'd have to get used to for yourself.

I have a bigger point that needs to be made regarding that question.

We can call each other and claim to be various forms of "ist" and and preach particular "ism's", but these don't help anybody except the ones who are in power and don't deserve it. It's not about left vs right anymore because that debate is irrelevant compared to the hellish political landscape that we now exist in.

In my mind, there are only two kinds of political activists: progressives and regressives.

• One solves problems

• The other gets ahead by causing or otherwise being complicit with certain problems.

It was something I grew up with, and I think some still hold well to this day.

What's the worst injury you've ever sustained?

Hmm... I've had a few bad injuries, but the worst is probably the head injury I had when I was a small child. Probably around... 2-4 years old?

It was bad enough that I apparently had to be in the hospital during Christmas, although I don't remember being there. I remember hitting my head and crying because it hurt.

I have no idea if it had any lasting effects. With my luck it probably did, but if it did then it wasn't enough for anyone to notice.

Another bad injury was when I hurt my tailbone when I was around 12 years old (estimate). My tailbone causes me trouble to this very day.

I still think that Borderlands 2 is a massive improvement over the first game. Faster gameplay, a more interesting story, and kjghpillion more guns (that look and play differently!) are some of the main reasons. Funnily enough, I consider the Pre-Sequel to be somewhere between the first and second in terms of quality.

In a way. Knowing that they do bad things behind the screen always makes it hard for me to watch them perform.

Is there a cheesy or cliche advice that worked for you?

“If you love something, let it go.” In my case it was writing — I’d spent a long time away from prose after hitting a creative wall with where to take my books, but recently came back to it with a short story that practically wrote itself.

When it comes to creative work, you have to make sure you’re doing something for love of the process rather than out of obligation or for fame. Otherwise, what’s the point?
