This Show is a web-animated Object Show mini-series created by Krib08 with all of its episodes released on the same date of 4th June 2023.

It's an exciting new competition starring the host, a glowing floating eyeball, and their three contestants the lovable Billy, Nice Girl Folder and foul-mouthed Potty. After an exciting challenge in which Billy wins, Potty is eliminated and then the host introduces another contestant to the competition to replace him. Billy wins again but the host replaces the recently eliminated debuter with another. And then Billy wins and the newest contestant is eliminated but the host replaces them with—

Okay, there's starting to be a pattern here...

The whole twelve episodes and compilation can be viewed on the official playlist as well as the intro.

Contains the following tropes:

  • The Ace: Billy wins all the challenges except for the episode where Zero debuted but that was immediately Retcon so he wins anyway and ends up winning the whole series in the finale. It's implied Billy is the host's favorite due to the aforementioned instance which suggests they want to prevent him from being put up for elimination at all costs.
  • A Dog Named "Dog": Everyone is named directly after their object with the notable exceptions of Billy, Potty, the host and Oh.
  • A Lizard Named "Liz": Potty and Billy have the oh-so-common "-y" suffix attached to their species (Pot and Bill) with the former doubling as an actual human name.
  • All Just a Dream: The ending of episode 10 where Zero, the newbie at the time, won was Retcon by the host to be Folder's dream and Zero was eliminated per usual next episode.
  • Animate Inanimate Object: The cast is all anthropomorphic objects of some kind except the host (A floating eyeball) and Oh (whatever that is).
  • Anthropomorphic Typography: There are two contestants who fit this criteria: 2/8 (A math fraction consisting of Conjoined Twins Numerator 2 and Denominator 8) and Zero (A number zero).
  • Anthropomorphic Food: Orange Juice is the only food-based contestant in the series as they are (Unsurprisingly) a sentient glass of orange juice.
  • Armless Biped: The Game Show Host and Tennis Ball are limbless as they are stylized as a floating eyeball and Inanimate Competitor respectively, Quarter is an inversion and 8 of the 2/8 twins is the only straight example.
  • Bookends: The first and last challenge involves spinning around which Billy gladly does so since he loves spinning.
  • Color-Coded Speech: As This Show has no voice-acting, the dialogue "spoken" is through the trope. The host is a glowing white, Folder is marigold, Billy is green and the rest are varying colours.note
  • Death by Irony: In an elimination sense, Folder angrily quits in episode 12 as she had enough of the repetitive cycle of debuters and challenges, only for the host to post-humorously reveal that was the very last debuter and the episode is the grand finale.
  • Debut Queue: After Potty's elimination, the host developed a habit of introducing a seemingly endless stream of newcomersnote  that are gone by the next episode, extending the competition longer than it should have. It's implied they only did that to further gaslight Folder with the strict format of the show.
  • Expy: The fourth episode's debuter is Peanut a short excitable fellow which made Folder immediately thought of Billy. Billy himself didn't like this "ripoff" straightaway and won the challenge quicker than usual just to get rid of him.
  • Faceless Eye: The host is a glowing floating eyeball.
  • Fake Interactivity: At the end of every episode, there will be a viewer voting screen to eliminate either Folder or one of the episode's debuter like any Object Show. However, since the episodes are released simultaneously on the same day, the viewers have no say on who goes as it's ultimately the host's decision. Folder lampshaded at one point if they even received any votes.
  • Flat Character: The debuters either have a gimmick or do absolutely nothing, but most likely the latter, and even so the host will eliminate them the following episode before they could do anything of note.
  • Flat "What": Quarter's first line upon wondering what is Folder talking about when she said they are going to be eliminated next episode. They later find out her "prediction" is correct.
  • Flip the Bird: Potty often pulls the middle finger for no reason other than being mean.
  • Formula-Breaking Episode: Attempted in episode ten where Folder wanted to cross the line and win the challenge instead of Billy but Zero beat her to it. However, the show immediately corrects itself so it was All Just a Dream for Folder and Zero was eliminated without fail.
  • Game Show Host: The glowing floating eye acts as one who wants to run their show as long as possible with debuters to slowly drive Folder insane.
  • Gaslighting: It's implied the host has been deliberately introducing new contestants to prolong the competition and keeping the episodes as rigid as possible just to make Folder reach her Rage Breaking Point for their own amusement. When she confronts them about it the host replies "What are you talking about lol" and after she angrily quit to get away from This Show, they cheekily said to themself "Little did she know, that was the last joiner" and proceeded to do the finale without her.
  • Hate at First Sight: Peanut is the only contestant Billy is not friendly to off the bat as he believes them to be a "rip-off" of them. As such, Billy thus wins the challenge faster than usual to get Peanut eliminated.
  • Jerkass: Potty invokes the mean character stereotype that the viewers vote off first by spending most of his runtime swearing or flipping others off.
  • Keet: Billy is perpetually excited throughout the show and gives it his all in challenges. This also made him not mind the off-putting competition format that slowly enraged Folder since he wins all the challenges regardless.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: Billy never notices anything off about the competition like Folder nor is even aware of it since he is more interested in competing and winning challenges. However, Folder doesn't hold anything against them even though he plays a part in continuing the cycle she's stuck in.
  • Masculine, Feminine, Androgyne Trio: The main three characters with Folder being the Feminine (As seen with her having the only object with prominent eyelashes), Billy as the Masculine (If his male-derived name is any indication) and the host is the Androgyne (An ethereal floating eyeball that doesn't go by any pronouns).
  • Meaningful Name: Potty is the only one to swear and Flip the Bird on This Show so guess you can say they are potty-mouthed in nature.
  • Minimalist Cast: The way the show was formatted made sure only four objects are present at the same time with the host, Folder and Billy as recurring characters while the third contestant always rotates every episode.
  • Monochromatic Eyes: Zero has white eyes since they have a darker asset which would be harder to see with Black Bead Eyes.
  • Naïve Newcomer: Some of the debuters such as Orange Juice have no idea what is going on because it's implied the host had kidnapped them from their homes.
  • Non-Gameplay Elimination: Folder quits in the finale, having enough of being trapped in this seemingly neverending, monotony of an Object Show and its Gaslighting host.
  • No Name Given: The host and Oh have no official names as the former skipped out on their introduction at the beginning while the host had no idea what the latter is which led to their exclamation of "Oh." (However, the intro later states Oh to be their actual name).
  • Odd Name Out: Billy is the only human name on the show with everyone else following A Dog Named "Dog" and A Lizard Named "Liz" (Albeit it is derived from the latter's naming scheme) or goes nameless (The host and Oh).
  • Only Sane Man: Folder seems to be the only one questioning the nature of This Show with Billy absentmindedly carries on in glee and The Host deliberately structuring the competition to be as formulaic as possible. It was for this reason why Folder slowly grew enraged to the point of quitting the show than competing in another episode any longer.
  • Short-Runner: This Show consists of twelve episodes released back-to-back on the same day and has a total runtime of less than five minutes. Krib08 stated to have made the entire series in the span of five hours.
  • Shout-Out: Episode 7's challenge is "To know" which Billy says Pencil's first line verbatim from the first episode of Battle for Dream Island.
  • Took a Level in Cynic: Folder becomes less of her former cheery self from the first episode as the episodes go on due to her growing resentment and exasperation of This Show and the host. She isn't happy for the newcomers anymore, bluntly telling Quarter outright that they'll be eliminated next episode no matter what, and finally takes out her anger on the host in the finale.
  • Whole-Plot Reference: To Creepingston's "Battle for Awesome Burger " but more cohesive and formula-adhering. It also has a dollar bill as one of the main characters though he is not the one questioning reality this time around.
