Doomguy faces his cutest opponents yet!
Angelic Waifus is an enemy replacement mod for Doom that answers the question, “What if Doomguy were fighting angels instead of demons?”. Cute, adorable angel girls that want nothing more than to remove you from existence.
The mod places a high emphasis on enemy mobility. Almost all the angels can fly or are faster than their demon counterparts at the cost of damage and health.
There’s also blood. Lots and lots and lots of blood. Gallons of it. While it is possible to feel bad for killing such smol angels; always remember. It is you or them.

This Doom mod contains examples of the following tropes:
- Absurdly Sharp Blade: The sword of Damocles wielded by Authorities and Virtue Virgins is sharp enough to cut anything in existence. It does massive amounts of damage at point blank ranges.
- An Ice Person: The Snowball.
- Animesque: Art is primarily influenced by anime.
- Angelic Beauty: Angels are depicted as stereotypically cute or beautiful.
- The Armies of Heaven: The Angelic host.
- Badass Adorable: Every single one of the angels is super cute and more than capable of killing Doomguy in a few hits.
- Black Comedy: While majority of the deaths are horrendous, most are so over the top it is hard to take them seriously.
- Blood Knight: Authorities are angels specifically designed to fight Doomguy and the forces of hell.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: Lots.
- The Authority’s hand is blown off, causing her to be decapitated by her Damocles blade. Cue the blood fountain.
- The Ophanim’s eyes melt into a bloody paste on death.
- Half of the Snowball’s head is blown off. Her gibing animation is far worse.
- Cherubs can be turned into a pile of bloody goop when hit with a rocket.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: While the Angels are strong, a skilled Doomguy can slaughter them in droves.
- Elegant Gothic Lolita: The Authority and Virtue Virgin attire.
- Excuse Plot: Minimal plot details are given as to why the angels have invaded the UAC.
- Expy: All angels have move sets or designs that reflect the classic Doom bestiary.
- Extra Eyes: The Ophanim is said to have over 1000 eyes on her wings.
- Fantastic Racism: Angels hate anything that is either evil or cool. They seek to eliminate these things from existence.
- Female Angel, Male Demon: All angels are female whereas all the traditional doom non-boss monsters are male.
- Game Mod: One of the few examples of an enemy replacement mod for Doom.
- Gorn: Buckets of blood on death whenever an angel takes damage or dies.
- Hell Invades Heaven: Inverted as the angels are invading the ruins of hell.
- Holy Halo: All angels have these. The halo acts as the angel’s life bar and will slowly fad as they take damage.

- Lonely Doll Girl: Dollmaykrs are so powerful that other angels fear and avoid them. Their only friends in life are their dolls they make.
- Marionette Master: The Dollmaykr angel can summon an army of dolls armed with knives, revolvers and even shotguns to do her bidding.
- Mook Maker:
- The Dollmaykr can make knife dolls, revolver dolls and shotgun duos.
- Joy elementals can summon Putto which can revive dead angels.
- More Dakka: When the Ophanim is fully awake, she will not only shoot hundreds of bullets from her eyes, but thousands of more hit scanning bullets from the eyes on her wings.
- Noblewoman's Laugh: The Principality will always laugh when using her lightning stream attack.
- Nothing Up My Sleeve: The Cardinal’s sleeves are tipped with blades that she swipes at her enemies.
- Ojou Ringlets: The Principality.
- Parasol of Pain: The Principality carries a huge parasol that functions like a lightning rod. She can fling varying patterns of lightning bolts at her foes.
- Perverse Puppet: Rather than zombies, angels use holy dolls as standard soldiers. They can wield knives, guns and two of them can even wield a shotgun.
- Rage Against the Heavens: Doomguy is taking on the endless flocks of angels rather than the forces of hell.
- Razor Wind: The Authority and Virtue Virgin can carve the very air into a blade sharper than any sword.
- Scratch Damage: Cherub slaps are pitiful, doing only 1 damage even without armor.
- Shock and Awe: Principalities are master of lighting with the ability to shoot lightning balls from their umbrellas.
- Shout-Out: Many call outs to the Touhou series.
- Cherubs are equivalent to the fairies in Touhou.
- The Dollmaykr is basically a mini-Alice Margatroid.
- Super-Deformed: All enemies have abnormally large heads and are more chibi to fit with Doom’s sprite size limitations.
- Sweet Tooth: Angels live on a diet of pure candy. The candy is so sweet that it is toxic to human.
- Technicolor Blade: The Aspect of Iris forms a rainbow blade from her chalice.
- Tears of Blood: The Ophanim on death.
- True Blue Femininity: Aspect of Iris.
- Turns Red: The Virtue Virgin starts off as a regular Authority, but as she takes more damage, she becomes faster and attacks much quicker. She even gains the ability to fly.
- Voodoo Doll: The Dollmaykr can attack from a distance by stabbing a voodoo doll. The only way to avoid this attack is to leave her line of sight.
