Jollibee is a long-running fast-food restaurant chain from the Philippines. Established in 1978, the restaurant went on to open branches in its home country and worldwide, with over 1,500 branches combined.

Enter the year 2008, when Jollibee began celebrating its 30th anniversary. The company began making a children's live-action series starring the titular, eternally optimistic bee and his band of food-related friends in the magical world of Jollitown.

The series has songs, dances, and engaging stories for young children. The series ran from April 13, 2008, to October 12, 2013. Originally, the series had simple plots about the inner workings of Jollitown; however, elements of Time Travel spring up by the fourth season. The fifth season has an overarching plot involving the Jollifriends on a quest to retrieve the Crystals of Values stolen by the evil Virus Elvira. By the final season, the show was renamed to The Jollitown Kids Show, switching the genre to a Variety Show.

Unrelated to the Five Nights at Freddy's fan game series JOLLY, with characters based on the Jollibee franchise.

Good tropes are all around!

  • Amazing Technicolor Wildlife: Jollibee is a red bee.
  • Artistic License – History / The Theme Park Version: Every historical figure the characters in Season 4 visit, such as Ludwig van Beethoven and Thomas Edison, can somehow understand modern Filipino and/or English.
  • Colour-Coded for Your Convenience:
    • Jollibee: Red
    • Hetty: Pink
    • Yum: Indigo
    • Popo: Blue
    • Twirlie: Violet
  • Edutainment Show: While Seasons 1-3 and The Jollitown Kids Shows focused on the basics such as music, arts, and life lessons, Season 4 focused on world history leveled down for its target audience, and Season 5 focused on Philippine geography.
  • Face–Heel Turn: The main antagonist of Season 5, Virus Elvira, was a former member of the heavenly Council of Values, who was later fired for failing to uphold her duty. She later stole the Crystals of Values and scattered them across the Philippines, which Jollibee and his friends have to recover.
  • Four-Legged Insect: Jollibee only has two arms and two legs.
  • Gadgeteer Genius: Yum loves inventing all sorts of wacky inventions. Although he already existed as a character since The '80s, he wasn't always characterized like this.
  • Genre Shift: The first three seasons of Jollitown were simple stories with morals. By the fourth season, Jollibee and company often travelled back in time to witness historical events. Season 5 had an overarching adventure, and The Jollitown Kids Show was a variety show.
  • Limited Wardrobe: Jollibee and the rest of the Jollitown characters almost always wear the same outfits in every episode.
  • Lovable Jock: Popo loves all kinds of sports (especially basketball), and acts as a good friend and coach.
  • Pom-Pom Girl: Hetty is the town's resident cheerleader and lives up to her job.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Naturally, Jollibee and the residents of Jollitown are this.
  • Punny Name: Mr. Tom Morrow, the time-traveler in Season 4.
  • Two Girls to a Team: Hetty and Twirlie are the only female mascots in Jollitown.
  • Wish Upon a Shooting Star: In the first episode, Jollibee wishes to have friends to be with him, after the kids go back home every night. The star lands on the town's Wishing Well, exploding and summoning Hetty, Yum, Popo, and Twirlie.
