Iris the Happy Professor or Professor Iris is a educational kids puppet show, which followed the title character, a purple ibis bird as he taught his class consisting of three students: Piano, Plant, and Skeleton, a variety of lessons via a magic Chroma Key chalkboard. In each episode, Iris would wear bowties with different patterns reflecting the episode's theme (similar to Ms. Frizzle's dresses on The Magic School Bus). It was produced in Canada and ran for 156 episodes from 1992 to 1994. It aired in the United States as part of TLC's Ready Set Learn block in the mid-1990s.This show provides examples of:
