Lil' Honk Honks

  • Age Lift: While Sneezly was an adult in Breezly and Sneezly, he is a child in this show.
  • The Big Race: The episode revolves around everyone racing in their Lil' Honk Honks cars.
  • The Cameo: Dino-Boy, Sneezly, and Buzz Conroy all briefly appear at the start of the episode.
  • Cucumber Facial: Squiddly is briefly shown in the bath with cucumbers over her eyes.
  • Entertainment Below Their Age: The adults of Jellystone get into Lil' Honk Honks, and act like they're entitled to the fandom because they have been around longer than the kids.
  • Freeze-Frame Bonus: This gem can be seen for a split-second during the Lil' Honk Honks commercial.
"Cars cannot actually marry your mom. They are currently in a committed relationship, and even though things are rocky, they are determined to make it work. They go to car couples therapy twice a month, and though progress is slow, they know it's worth it. Also your mom is still processing last night's alien abduction of your father."
  • Gross-Up Close-Up: "I don't look that old, do I?" Yogi asks as we get a closeup of his withered face with flies swarming around it.
  • Hand Puppet: Mildew has a sock puppet ex-wife named Lady Sockington.
  • I'm Standing Right Here: Yogi says that being small forever would be the worst...right in front of Inch High Private Eye.
  • Incredible Shrinking Man: Everyone is shrunken down in order to participate in the Lil' Honk Honks race.
  • I Resemble That Remark!:
    • Yogi calls Shag a snot-nosed cub. Shag says that's rude, then we get a closeup of snot coming out of his nose.
    • Shag calls Yogi old. Then we get another shot of Yogi highlighting his ugly/old features while he says "Who you calling old?"
  • Kids Driving Cars: Augie, Yakky, and Shag get to participate in the race. Yakky lampshades this, but Huck says that she doesn't need a driver's license because the town got rid of them.
  • Literal Metaphor: Captain Caveman's car runs on fossil fuels; under the hood, there are dinosaurs.
Brontosaurus sitting on the toilet: It's a living...
  • Manchild: Yogi proudly states that Cindy has called him a manchild.
  • Mythology Gag: Yogi's car resembles a picnic basket, like how his car in Fender Bender 500 did.
  • Running Gag: Yogi being called "old" and then receiving a Gross-Up Close-Up.
  • Shaking the Rump: At the end of the episode, Boo Boo twerks.
  • Shout-Out:
    • Lil' Honks Honks seem to be a parody of Hot Wheels.
    • Captain Caveman throws Touché Turtle at Jabberjaw during the race, like in Mario Kart.
  • Shrink Ray: Cindy zaps people with a shrink ray to shrink them down.
  • Solar-Powered Magnifying Glass: Snagglepuss accidentally burns Captain Caveman's car using a magnifying glass.
  • Vanity License Plate: Yogi's car has P1C-N1C on the license plate.

Epic Rager

  • Balloon Belly: Huck's belly inflates after he eats the giant Dagwood Sandwich.
  • The Cameo:
    • Boo Boo has a shrine to Birdman.
    • The main characters of Thundarr the Barbarian make a brief appearance at the party.
    • At the end of the episode, Dino-Boy, Ugh, and Bronty arrive late to the party.
  • Dagwood Sandwich: The neanderthals construct a ginormous sandwich, but Huck is able to eat his way through it.
  • Hidden Depths: Loopy spent 12 years as a stunt actor.
  • Human Popsicle: Captain Caveman kept Gorok, Gara, Lok, and Tana frozen in his cooler. He unthaws them so they can improve the party.
  • Noodle Incident: The cavemen apparently made ice cream so big, it brought about the Ice Age.
  • Related in the Adaptation: The caveman family from Valley of the Dinosaurs are Captain Caveman's cousins.
  • Shoddy Shindig: No one enjoys the plaza party. There's no water in the dunk tank because Loopy can't swim, everyone gets cramped under an umbrella, the water is warm and plasticky, the pizza has iceberg lettuce on it, the portable bathrooms are disgusting, and Captain Caveman's lo-fi music is questionable.
  • Shout-Out: The title card of the episode looks like the logo of Epic Movie.
