Hyrulean Resistance
The settlements without Champions or Divine Beasts fight back against the Yiga, and Link duels Master Sooga.
Tropes:
- Adaptational Badass: Symin, Dorian, Purah, the Koroks, and several other characters get in on the action while they never did in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. This is especially the case for the Tarrey Town residents who help in the fight, even Kapson.
- Badass Adorable: Cerako's sisters finally get a chance to shine alongside her. They fight viciously and effectively, tearing their way through Yiga Clan members, and each one gets a chance to show off what they are capable of doing. And they slaughter many on their own, with Terrako being upset at Purah stealing a kill.
- Defensive Feint Trap: The Sheikah lure the Yiga into a trap by pretending to abandon Kakariko Village. Hateno Village does the same.
- Destructive Savior: Paya comes in and gets rid of every last Yiga still attacking, but in doing so, accidentally causes a lot of damage to her home village in the process, much to her shame.
- Extremely Protective Child: Granté immediately sprints to go save his parents when he realizes that Yiga Clan members are going to attack them.
- Fighting Clown: Hestu uses his maracas to dance around and create bubbles for different purposes.
- Four Lines, All Waiting: Like the chapter before, there are four separate sections to the story each featuring a different settlement's defense against the Yiga, this time they're Kakariko Village, Hateno Village, Korok Forest, and Akkala Ancient Tech Lab.
- Genius Loci: The Great Deku Tree is home to Koroks, and is capable of attacking with his branches and vine growths to take down Yiga Clan members.
- Harmful to Minors: The residents of Hateno Village try to make sure they clean up the remnants of the fight so that the children don't see it.
- Hero of Another Story: Characters in this chapter witness the Divine Beasts saving other settlements, hinting at the attacks other settlements are undergoing.
- Koko and Cottla witness Divine Beast Vah Ruta hurling ice to save Zora's Domain.
- Purah witnesses Naboris firing off purple lightning to save Gerudo Town.
- Hestu and a few Koroks witness Medoh firing off a Sweeping Laser Explosion to save Rito Village.
- Link and the Tarrey Town residents witness Rudania trigger a volcanic eruption to kill the Igneo Talus Titan.
- Kill It with Fire: The Yiga try to burn down Korok Forest to kill the Great Deku Tree and destroy the entire forest.
- Little Miss Badass: While she's way Older Than She Looks, Purah is still trapped in the body of a child, and she kicks some serious ass with her devices.
- Locked Out of the Loop: Tarrey Town wasn't informed of the impending attack, so they're completely unaware of what's going on. The only reason they learn what is happening is because Granté witnesses incoming Yiga.
- Ludicrous Gibs: A Blademaster is reduced to red mist and sprayed organs by a bomb arrow.
- Never Mess with Granny: Impa's old, but she's no slouch. She takes on and swiftly defeats dozens Yiga on her own in melee despite being 120 years old.
- Strictly Formula: Each section of the chapter shows the settlement being attacked, the residents fighting off the attack, and then someone from that settlement witnessing the Divine Beasts going off to save a nearby settlement.
- That Liar Lies: Sooga doesn't believe it when Link says Master Kohga's main concern was just cleaning up the mess left behind.
- Underestimating Badassery: The Yiga don't send a lot of their members into Korok Forest believing that they wouldn't put up much of a fight.
