Finding an Ally in Teba

Link and Teba connect with each other as warriors and fathers.

Tropes:

  • Birds of a Feather: Link and Teba bond over their fatherhood and wish to protect their respective children.
  • Bullet Time: As described from Teba's perspective, Link moves so fast that he's able to destroy five targets in one second.
  • Counterpart Combat Coordination: Link realizes that Thunderblight Ganon and Waterblight Ganon both used similar weapons to the Champions they killed, so Link anticipates what the blight he'll face in Medoh and Rudania could be.
  • Excellent Judge of Character: Teba reads Link very well, enough that he figures out Link is probably a father before Link actually admits that he is.
  • Face of a Thug: The Great-Horned Rhinoceros looks quite menacing to Link, but it turns out to be a Gentle Giant.
  • Gentle Giant: The Great-Horned Rhinoceros Link encounters is perfectly fine with Link coming up to it and touching it, at worst just deciding to leave instead of attacking Link.
  • Let Me Get This Straight...: Name-dropped by Teba when he realizes that Link intends to help him fight Medoh.
  • The Quiet One: Teba is noticeably more laconic with Link than the other Champions, and is very upfront and to the point.
  • Secret-Keeper: Apparently, the fact that Teba is indirectly related to Revali thanks to descending from Takki is a secret.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Takki was a very similar shade of grey color to Teba in the present day.
  • Take a Third Option: Kaneli and Saki talk about the possibility of Link being the very same Hylian Champion from 100 years earlier, and then Harth butts in and says it doesn't matter either way.
  • We Are as Mayflies: Teba mentions that Hylians wouldn't be alive after 100 years, and if somehow they were, they wouldn't look as young as Link does.
