The Silent Princess

Hyrule finally begins to heal the wounds from the Great Calamity, the souls of the Champions move on knowing their people are in good hands. However, Astor reveals that not all is over yet.

Tropes:

  • Dance Party Ending: The ending is straight out of Return of the Jedi with numerous different scenes depicting the different peoples of Hyrule celebrating in their own ways, with the Zora having a festival, the Sheikah playing music, the Gerudo and their husbands playing all over the town, the Rito having a singing festival at Warbler's Nest, Goron City enjoying a massive feast, and Hateno Village enjoying a massive bonfire party.
  • Dénouement: This whole chapter is a huge one that ties up all the loose ends, shows what characters are doing, and sets up everything for the novelization of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.
  • Distant Epilogue: Only two weeks, but it fulfils the concept. The famous Golden Ending to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is adapted as this, and features almost identical dialogue and the scene is almost exactly the same.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: The kingdom is saved, Ganondorf is freed from the curse of Demise, and it seems like the kingdom will bounce back stronger than ever before. However, the author has said that there will be a sequel so...
  • Heartfelt Apology: King Rhoam's spirit comes to Zelda at night, and truly apologizes for the way he raised her.
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation: Revali admits to Teba that he wouldn't liked Revali in life.
  • Hope Springs Eternal: Zelda wonders if they can bring Hyrule back to and beyond its former glory. Thanks to Paya, it seems like it.
  • Passing the Torch: The spirits of the fallen Champions return one last time, each one addressing their successor. They're all proud of their successors and know that their people are in good hands.
  • Reset Button: Paya's powers to fix things by reversing the damage is applied to the entire Great Plateau, cleaning everything up.
  • Sequel Hook: Link and Zelda are off to start the process of rebuilding Hyrule. The Yiga are still around and Astor still has Malice powers. He mentions that there is still a chance for the Calamity and Malice to win out in the end.
  • So Proud of You: King Rhoam confirms that he really is proud of her for what she was able to do, and apologizes for what he had done in raising her. The Champions all say the same to their successors.
  • Title Drop: Two back-to-back ones occur here. On the PDF, the second-to-last line of text title drops the story. The very last line title drops the chapter name.
  • Unseen No More: Farosh, Dinraal, and Naydra descend from the sky and are seen for the first time in the story, and In-Universe for thousands of years.
  • You Can't Go Home Again: Ten millennia have passed since Monk Maz Koshia has seen Hyrule. Kakariko Village didn't exist and Hyrule has changed drastically. But he sees the bright side in that he gets to see and explore the new world.
