Scales of an Ancient Era

Impa, Paya, and Purah split up to investigate three spots in Hyrule Castle to find the scales needed to unlock Impa's true power in the Frog Spirit.

Tropes:

  • Calling Your Attacks: Paya has to command the Sheikah Orb to attack with specific elements and runes.
  • Dem Bones: Impa fights a Stalnox, implied to be the reanimated bones of a Hinox that was once in the prison to test people's worthiness of being a knight of the Royal Guard of Hyrule.
  • The Hecate Sisters: Paya is the innocent maiden, being the truly youngest of the three Sheikah women. Impa is the mother, as she's the grandmother to Paya and the most concerned about her family's fate. Purah is the crone, the oldest one and the smartest technologically of the three even though their physical ages don't show it.
  • Let's Split Up, Gang!: Paya, Impa, and Purah split up to find the dragon scales in Hyrule Castle.
  • Unfinished Business: King Rhoam requests through writing in his diary that Paya bring his diary to her so that she may read his thoughts. It's implied as a form of apology on his part.
