- Annoying Laugh: Somebody's laughter sounds annoying to another character.
- Cheer Them Up with Laughter: Cheering a sad person up by making them laugh.
- Circle of Shame: A character is embarrassed and a group of people laugh at them.
- Contagious Laughter: When one person laughs, it makes the others laugh.
- Corpsing: When an actor laughs at a time their character shouldn't be laughing.
- Cry Laughing: Someone laughs, but then something bad happens and they start crying.
- Die Laughing: Somebody laughs and then dies.
- Dissonant Laughter: Laughing in the middle of a fight.
- "Everybody Laughs" Ending: The episode ends with the whole cast laughing.
- Evil Laugh: Somebody laughs in a way which sounds evil.
- Evil Laugh Turned Coughing Fit: Someone starts coughing while they laugh.
- Giggling Villain: Instead of doing the standard Evil Laugh, the villain just giggles.
- HA HA HA—No: A character pretends to laugh, then abruptly says something to the effect of "no".
- Helpless with Laughter: Laughing so hard that doing literally anything else is just about impossible.
- The Hilarious Table: Showing characters having a good time and laughing, but not what they're laughing at.
- Holding In Laughter: Characters trying, and usually failing, not to laugh out loud
- Humor Dissonance: The characters find something unfunny funny.
- The Hyena: Someone who's very easily amused.
- Late to the Punchline: It takes a character a while to get a joke.
- Laughing Mad: Something really bad happens, and a character laughs despite not finding it humorous.
- Laugh of Love: A character laughs when they're around their Love Interest.
- Laugh Themselves Sick: Somebody laughs and it nauseates them.
- Laugh Track: Recorded laughter is played at a joke in a TV show.
- Laugh with Me!: The villain tells their minions to join in with their Evil Laugh.
- Laughing at Your Own Jokes: Someone tells a joke and laughs at it.
- Literally Laughable Question: Someone laughs at a question they find dumb.
- Mirthless Laughter: Laughing for any reason besides happiness or humor.
- Must Make Her Laugh: A wacky character tries to make a emotionless stoic laugh.
- My God, You Are Serious!: A character says something. Another character laughs and thinks they're joking, but then realizes they're serious.
- Noblewoman's Laugh: A laugh stereotypically associated with Japanese noblewomen.
- Ominous Adversarial Amusement: You think you're about the defeat the villain... but then they start laughing.
- Pre-Violence Laughter: Someone laughs before they attack someone.
- Put the "Laughter" in "Slaughter": Laughing while killing.
- Signature Laugh: A laugh associated with one individual.
- Tension-Cutting Laughter: Laughing due to relief.
- Un-Evil Laugh: Someone tries to do an Evil Laugh, but they just can't make it sound evil.
