DISCO is a 2017 comedy/drama film written and directed by Brad Jones.
Set in a time where The '70s have barely evolved, three sisters, Emily (Sarah Gobble), Crystal (Bianca Queen), and Lana (Laura Luke) spend one night in a downtown discotheque as a means to rebond after years of separation and heartbreak.
While trying to repair their relationship, the three also must deal with Lana's drug dealing boyfriend (Brad Jones), Emily's cantankerous husband (Lewis Lovhaug), the club DJ (Fard Muhammad) whose disco is dying, and an eccentric dancer (Doug Walker).
The film also features Allison Pregler, Brian Irving, Brian Lewis, David Gobble, and more.
The film was released on December 14th, 2017 (the 40th anniversary of Saturday Night Fever) and the final cut was released April 24th, 2018. It is exclusively digital and is free to download on Brad's Patreon page

This film provides examples of:
- The Baby of the Bunch: Lana is youngest of the three and seems to be the one who constantly gets into trouble - usually involving drugs - and has Emily and Crystal bail her out if she ever gets into trouble. Crystal even says that their parents would let her get away with anything because of this.
- Big Bad Wannabe: DJ Bobby's attempts at being the Disco Godfather fall-flat, whether it is threatening Vince or flirting with Emily, his wife Henrietta being the much more intimidating of the two. Granted, threatening Vince seems to work in his favor, but he finds it mildly exhausting and he still answers to Henrietta.
- Brutal Honesty: As is the case with Vince's give-no-shits attitude.Emily: You know Vince, Lana called us earlier. She sounded bad. Sounded like she wanted us to come get her like someone was being a creep.
Vince: I probably wasn't here for that. Must have been when I had to go make a business run.
Emily: And what business is that, Vince?
Vince: [Gets the giggles.] I'm a fucking drug dealer.
Crystal: Well, he's honest, I'll give him that. - Disco Sucks: The reason why Starcrash is resorting to drug-dealing is because Disco as a genre is reaching its lowest in popularity, with every other dance-club in town resorting to drugs and filming pornography to get by.
- Dodgy Toupee: The bald Rudy spends much of the movie wearing a wig.
- Everyone Has Standards: It is established by Rudy that people go to disco dance clubs to have fun and no one can really dance. Then Travis is drunkenly dancing so badly that everyone boos him off of the dance floor.
- Henpecked Husband: Even her husband is afraid of Henrietta.
- I Call It "Vera": Rudy does not actually know the names of any of the guns he sells and instead gives them his own nicknames, including the "Wascally Wabbit", "Asshole Puncher" and "Block-Cocker".
- I Can't Dance: Travis makes this very excuse to why he would not want to go to a club. Rudy can't either, but this doesn’t not stop him from enjoying himself.Crystal: Are you a good dancer?
Rudy: Actually I'm terrible. We're all terrible. Competition happens so late at night and everyone's so drunk they think we dance like professionals. - I Will Punish Your Friend for Your Failure: Henrietta's plan is to kill Vince due to the enormous debt he does not intend to pay and make Lana pay them back through prostitution of pornographic films.
- Large Ham: Rudy.
- Making Love in All the Wrong Places: In the first act, we are introduced to Lana meeting Vince in a night club, only for them to enter a bathroom stall, make out, do coke and have sex there.
- Mythology Gag: Emily and Crystal's car-ride on the way to the club looks similar to an episode of Midnight Screenings.
- Pastiche: To cinema from The '70s and the musical genre of its namesake, Saturday Night Fever especially.
- Pity Sex: It turns out the reason why Emily even began to talk to Travis in the first place is because he looked like the kind of guy that has always been turned down and decided to give him a chance. Years later, they are married with a kid.
- Porn Without Plot: Vince seems to think that a porn composed of nothing with sex is better than a porn with a script.
- Present-Day Past: Lampooned in the opening title card.The present …if The '70s never ended.
- Running Gag: In his efforts to build his confidence, Rudy tends to talk to people (usually asking them to dance) during a dramatic moment, causing the other person to tell him that his timing is awful.
- Sex, Drugs and Disco: According to Steve, every other disco club in town is involved in drug-dealing and filming pornography.
- Sibling Triangle: The reason why Crystal is much less willing to help Lana when she is in trouble than Emily is because she slept with her husband, ruining her marriage.
- Stock Footage: The movie is plagued with classic Disco music and footage of seventies movies, no doubt the reason why it is unlikely the movie will ever get a release on DVD.
- Talkative Loon: Rudy has a habit of rambling and jittering like a spastic weirdo, especially funny since he gets nervous about socializing. Definitely fits Doug's usually
Ham and Cheese performances.
