Tropes associated with Mr. Chaos's works:

  • Amazon Chaser: Nearly every male character he writes seeks out strong, confident women to be their love interests.
    • In a literal sense, too, as nearly every female love interest is depicted as being tall with an athletic build.
  • Author Tract: Occasionally, certain character rants feel less like the character speaking and more like the author.
  • Papa Wolf: Pretty much assured that if a child appears, every heroic character will protect them.
  • The Multiverse:
    • Several of his stories make use of what is known as the Chaosverse, a multiverse of self-inserts based on the author.
    • This has led to other fanfic authors also adopting the Chaosverse into their works.
  • Multiple Demographic Appeal: Fanfics cover many styles and fandoms, earning him readers of all different tastes.
  • Sneeze Cut: A common gag in his stories. It's not overused, but many of his stories have at least one of these.
  • Tom Hanks Syndrome: Mr. Chaos started out mostly known for his comedic stories and parodies, such as The Death Star: An Imperial Workplace, The Many Secret Origins of Scootaloo, and The God Squad. But come A Man of Iron, his popularity skyrocketed when he proved very skilled at taking his Fusion Fic style and applying it to action and drama. While still seen as a funny writer, his most popular works are seen as being less parody and more humor in line with the original works.
