"Ghost" Jason
Played By: Vincente DiSanti and Bryan Forrest
Appearances: Never Hike Alone, Never Hike in the Snow, Never Hike Alone 2
The famed killer of Crystal Lake. Long thought dead for decades by the time of Never Hike Alone, he makes his presence known to Crystal Lake once again after hiker, Kyle McLeod, unwittingly stumbles across the ruins of Camp Crystal Lake.

- Ax-Crazy: As always, Jason is indiscriminately violent, brutally murdering anyone who wanders into Camp Crystal Lake.
- Bald of Evil: He has virtually no hair on his skull and he's an infamous mass murderer.
- Big Bad: Per franchise standard, he's the main antagonist across all installments.
- Black Blood: What we see whenever one manages to get him to bleed.
- Determinator: True to all his incarnations, but here he actually displays a rare willingness to leave his campground territory in his pursuit of Kyle. Whereas in other films, Jason usually only does so when prodded by some outside instigator or he's unwillingly taken.
- Evil Old Folks: Not that age matters much to a Revenant Zombie but the creators made Never Hike Alone with the original films produced by Paramount in mind, making this Jason over 70 years old.
- Hallucinations: Seems to leave this effect on anyone who survives an encounter with him, going off Tommy and Kyle.
- Legend Fades to Myth: Save for Tommy, Jason's long-faded from public memory by the time of events of the films. So much so that even residents of Crystal Lake seem unaware there's an abandoned camp ground in the woods surrounding the town.
- Kyle notes Camp Crystal Lake isn't even marked on any modern maps of the area.
- Machete Mayhem: True to form, Jason uses his signature weapon to hunt down Kyle.
- Offscreen Teleportation: Par for the course, Jason performs one each film. Never Hike Alone 2 shows that Jason gets around so quickly by swimming to and from the mainland.
- Revenant Zombie: The creators' stated interpretation of Jason for this series. Here to avenge his and Pamela's treatment in life and punish anyone who goes into Camp Crystal Lake.
- Signature Sound Effect: This Jason is accompanied by large stomping sounds anywhere he walks.
- Sinister Scythe: A new addition to Jason's arsenal here is a sickle he tends to use for up close kills.
Main Characters
Kyle McLeod
Played By: Andrew Leighty
Appearances: Never Hike Alone, Never Hike in the Snow (cameo), Never Hike Alone 2
A YouTuber who makes videos and streams of the various hikes he takes across the country. He unwittingly kick starts of the events of both Never Hike Alone and it's sequel, when he stumbles across the ruins of Camp Crystal Lake.- Badass Normal: While clearly outmatched in every conceivable metric, Kyle does rather well for himself in fending off Jason using nothing more than whatever skills/tools he's acquired from his time as an outdoorsman.
- Early-Bird Cameo: Mark's computer shows he was watching a video of Kyle's looking for tips on hiking in the snow.
- Famed In-Story: Kyle seems to be reasonably well-known in-universe. He's interviewed on local Crystal Lake news about the success of his hiking streams and Diana recognizes him because Mark watched his videos.
- Nice Guy: Hamming it up for his channel aside, Kyle's a relatively easy going dude and despite some initial protests, was willing to go back to Crystal Lake with Tommy to help find Pamela's head.
- Stylistic Suck: Downplayed but the few times we get a view of Kyle's content suggests it follows fairly standard "clickbait" YouTuber practices.
- Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Jason's rampage in Never Hike Alone 2 goes directly back to Kyle first trespassing into his territory.
Tommy Jarvis
Played by: Thom Matthews
Appearances: Never Hike Alone, Never Hike in the Snow, Never Hike Alone 2
Crystal Lake's haunted son. Despite seemingly having killed Jason decades ago, Tommy remains unconvinced Jason is truly dead, much to the annoyance of Sheriff Rick Cologne.

- The Atoner: Part of his motivation is the guilt he feels over the deaths caused by Jason due to Tommy accidentally reviving him back in Jason Lives.
- The Cassandra: Has been active for the decades since Jason Lives in trying to prove Jason is still out there.
- Experienced Protagonist: He's got more experience than anyone in dealing with Jason, having two previous encounters with him already.
- Hallucinations: Still suffers from Jason-induced A New Beginning-style nightmares.
- The Medic: He's become a paramedic in the years since he last encountered Jason.
Sheriff Rick Cologne
Played by: Vincent Guastaffero
Appearances: Never Hike in the Snow, Never Hike Alone 2
The former deputy, now sheriff, of Crystal Lake. He maintains a contentious relationship with Tommy, fervently believing Jason is dead and that Tommy's just chasing ghosts.- Arbitrary Skepticism: Boldly proclaims that not only Jason isn't back, but never existed. Which is quite an impressive claim since his character was around for the events of Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives. He only drops his skepticism once Jason shows up and starts murdering his men.
- Benevolent Boss: Despite his cantankerous attitude and other actions, he does genuinely seem to care about his deputies.
- Character Catchphrase: Maintains his "ya bang!" catchphrase. It's also the first half of of his Famous Last Words.
- Dirty Coward: Tommy accuses him of being this, stating that he's "too much of a chicken shit" to do anything about Jason. Tommy is ultimately proven wrong in Never Hike Alone 2 when Cologne faces down Jason alone to buy the rest of the group time to escape him."I'm not afraid of you, you fuckin' mummy-faced bastard!"
- Laser Sight: The prequel reveals he still uses one for his gun.
- Oh, Crap!: The second half of his Famous Last Words are a petrified "Oh, shit!" before Jason bashes his head in.
- Police Are Useless: On top of refusing to believe Jason might still be alive, he actively covers up any evidence that might disprove that, to the point of even writing off one of his own deputies as simply another missing person's case.
Diana Hill
Played by: Anna Campbell
Appearances: Never Hike in the Snow, Never Hike Alone 2
A newcomer to Crystal Lake and a doctor at the local hospital. She falls into a deep depression when her son goes missing. Unbeknownst to her, he was killed by Jason while exploring the abandoned campgrounds.- The Medic: She's a doctor at the same hospital that Tommy works at.
- Mirror Character: Can be seen as one to Pamela. Both are single mothers with sons who went missing (and presumed dead) in Crystal Lake, while also suffering from hallucinations of still seeing their sons. The difference being Diana got closure on Mark's death while Pamela never did with Jason.
- Outliving One's Offspring: Her son, Mark, is killed by Jason in the opening of Never Hike in the Snow.
Supporting Characters
Mark Hill
Played by: Courtlan Gordon
Appearances: Never Hike in the Snow, Never Hike Alone 2
Newcomer to Crystal Lake alongside his mom, Diana. Killed by Jason in the opening of Never Hike in the Snow, kickstarting the events of the film.- Naïve Newcomer: He and his mother are newcomers to the Crystal Lake and he went to explore the derelict remains of the camp shortly after learning about it.
- Small Role, Big Impact: Mark's only alive in the present for a brief time before being killed by Jason. His death however is kickstarts the events of the film and what convinces Tommy is Jason is back.
Allen Marby
Played by: Bryan Forrest
Appearances: Never Hike in the Snow
Wessex County Deputy to Sheriff Cologne.- Like a Son to Me: If Cologne's dream is any indication, he and Allen seemed to have had this.
- Police Are Useless: Averted. Despite his respect for Cologne, he repeatedly questions him on the lack of an investigation into Mark's disappearance. Doesn't work out for him when investigating Crystal Lake gets him an encounter with Jason.
Pamela Voorhees

Appearances: Never Hike in the Snow, Never Hike Alone 2
The long dead mother of Jason Voorhees, who still exherts influence on her son decades after her demise.- Age Lift: In Jason's mind, she's noticeably younger than Betsy Palmer's Pamela. Likely supposed to be what Pamela looked like, age-wise, when Jason first drowned.
- Hallucinations: Her younger self only appears in Jason's mind. To everyone else, she's still just a decapitated head.
- Maybe Magic, Maybe Mundane: While Jason is supernatural, whether Pamela is actually talking to him beyond the grave or if it's just something in his head remains unclear.
- Soul Jar: Tommy's convinced Pamela's head is some sort of totem that is what's been keeping Jason alive.
