Main Characters

    King Canary
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/733102_lu4sia4htyhou7b_7.png
Amnestic Stranger Spitting up Fingers And the Strongest King Worm ever Born
A mysterious, amnestic young woman lost in a strange place, surrounded by stranger monsters, and saved by Rome soon after she woke up. Out of sorts and obstinate, she still links up with Rome to get to safety, trying to make sense of who, or what they even are.

King Canary is, unknown to her, the strongest King Worm ever born with the mind of an amnestic Antony Aiguille. Originally the spoiled child of King Aldebaran and Evil Mother, who was later taken over by the latter after conspiring to kill the former. Canary later ate Antony Aiguille, allowing Antony to take control of their body, but lose their memories and be trapped in their mind, with only a mote of the original Canary remaining alongside him.

  • Amnesiac Hero: Wakes up with no idea who they are or how they ended up where they are, and also remembers nothing about how the world works.
  • Audience Surrogate: King functions as this in the early chapters, being a seemingly mundane amnesiac who has to have everything explained to them. The narrative plays with this as the audience sees more and more different perspectives and learns more of the world's history, until it becomes obvious that King is not in fact who she appears to be.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: Played with: King is initially presented as a normal human trapped in a fantastical world, but it gradually becomes apparent that King can't possibly be human. King realises she is probably a worm after Celadon goads her into accidentally using a King Seed. However, King is less concerned with having an identity crisis than with hiding this information from Rome, who hates worms with a vengeance.

     Rome Aiguille
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/733108_cndfjovkgmy5ttr.png
Relieved you Don't Know how Important he is.
A pink-haired, gun-toting stranger who came to King Canary's "rescue" and became her savior and favorite punishing bag. The King of the Aiguille Moon and member of the infamous Aiguille Family. He is also a cyborg with a serious hatred for worms, a deep love for his brother Antony, and a shocking lack of knowledge of the larger world.

  • Action Politician
  • Fantastic Racism: Rome is extremely bigoted towards worms, and also somewhat racist towards Vena Cavians, though he chides himself after he says racist things about the latter.
  • Reading Lips: Rome is congenitally deaf and uses hearing aids. After these are damaged in an explosion he is forced to use lip reading to understand King.

He will be the Strongest Boi there is!
Click here  to see Pluto's Base Apperance.

A dog-like worm lurking in the ruins that, after some harsh words from King Canary, sent the poor Puppy running. Is good friends with Ducky, and has set his sights on Agent Paper as his next meal.

Puppy, AKA Pluto, was an experiment to create a Worm clone of Agent Knife that was supervised directly by Celadon. Pluto has many of Agent Knife's strengths and abilities mixed with Hydragora's worms already formidable qualities. He is fiercely loyal to King Canary, with his previously feral behavior being a result of Celadon placing various curses on him at an early age, which have only just begun to unravel thanks to Agent Paper's infiltration into his mind. Pluto has since been relocated from The Helper Ship to Wibble World and given into the care of Miss Mirror, who is both baffled by the creature's immaturity, but terrified of his potential power.

     Bitey

     Ducky
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/962816_4gnwjk3h8bgtmrh.png
Dylan's "Greastest Creation"

An odd, humanoid bird-like Worm who encounters Puppy. A much more articulate and ambitious worm, he and Puppy have a close bond and rivalry.

Ducky was one of Dylan's experiments, a test-tube Hydragora worm child of both Dylan and Aeschylus that, unsurprisingly, created an emotionally needy and insecure creature with a deep longing for approval from his "mother". Ate Crimson after her death at the hands of Fork, who then possessed them briefly to regenerate their Worm Queen body, and then was possessed by the Mandrogra Heart of Nail, aka Fork's titular fork.

  • The Bus Came Back: Disappears immediately after his conversation with Pluto in Chapter 2, and doesn't return until Chapter 13, 4600 pages later.

     Licky

     Clappy
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/960841_aaxgcommn3mb9ek.png
Always willing to Help!

Clappy was an odd Hydragora Worm lurking about the recently awoken King Canary. Was later swiftly killed by Agent Knife.

Clappy, AKA Agent Parrot, was the only worm experiment Dylan took with them when she destroyed her former lab, joining them as a THUMB agent and secretly accompanying them to The Helper ship to finish off King Canary. Clappy's severed head would attach to Agent Paper's body, regaining life and autonomy, much to the HEEL agent's disgust.

     Dylan Web
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/733103_qswq5anlypjj32y.png
A Bundle of Anxiety who just Wants to Be Treated Nicely.

Doctor Dylan Web, AKA Agent Web, is a new THUMB agent and Agent Fork's newest field partner. Dylan is a Hydragora Worm with a deep longing to be human and a greater understanding of what King Canary truly is...

Dylan was once the cat-like worm pet of Antony Auigille, who, (supposedly) on his request, consumed Ted Mcgold alive, absorbing her intellect and human appearance, and crippled Rome by devouring his legs. Dylan was one of the main co-conspirators of "The Final Feast", mainly as their chief scientist who created many unique worm hybrids, up until the true scope of Antony's plan was revealed to her. Dylan, unwilling to support the plan any longer, destroyed their lab, released their most dangerous worm hybrids, set up King Canary (who had the amnestic mind of Antony) free early to be killed, and defected to THUMB (after a brief stay in The Lobe Prison moon). Dylan has been suffering bizarre lapses in knowledge despite their scientific brilliance, namely their inability to recall next to anything related to Hekatonkheires they knew prior, which was likely done by Celadon to keep Dylan from divulging certain details of "The Final Feast".

  • The Medic: Dylan is an expert surgeon, using the limbs on her back for the purpose, and using microscopic versions of her own worms to repair tissue.

     Agent Fork
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/733111_ccbkuef5toriuai.png
He's The BOMB!! LITERALLY!!

Kurt, AKA Agent Fork, is a veteran THUMB agent and Dylan's field partner. An eyeless himbo with a hairy chest, sharp ears, and a red fork as his weapon (and namesake). He is Hekatonkheires, a strange species who are living bombs.

Kurt is a C-Type Hekatonkheires and the adopted son of Agent Knife (who gouged his eyes out when he was a baby), who was trained, and framed for several HEEL agent murders, by Agent Spoon. He served time in The Lobe prison moon, has an on-and-off relationship with Dollop, and was kept in the dark about Knife and Spoon's relationship for his entire life.

  • Crouching Moron, Hidden Badass: Introduced as Dylan's hapless, boastful partner, who keeps making inane sex jokes over their comms. This impression is solidified when Crimson effortlessly tears him in half, and he gets instantly defeated by Crimson a second time because Dylan didn't fix his injuries correctly. However, when he finally comes back for round three, he turns out to be a formidable combatant and a match for Crimson, who only lost the so easily the first time because he was caught off guard.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: Gets bisected at the waist by Crimson within moments of his first appearance. When Dylan puts him back together, he lasts only a few minutes before being bisected by Crimson again. Locket gives him a new set of legs which also give him Type-E Hekaton powers.
  • Have I Mentioned I Am Heterosexual Today?: Fork seems to be the comic's token heterosexual, and reacts like this when Crimson, who Fork seems to mistake for male, begins flirting with him during their fight. His heterosexuality, it should be noted, includes an attraction to a barely-anthropomorphised cartoon sandal.
  • Improbably Weapon User: Fork's weapon is a giant fork, which he is especially adept at using to twirl up worm tendrils like spaghetti.

     Agent Spoon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/733119_puqkcs409bjhipk.png
Half the Man yet Twice as Bad

Simon Mcgold (No relation) AKA Agent Spoon, once one of THUMB'S top agents fresh out of retirement to join Agent Forks and Dylan's mission. He is half the man he once was, deeply depressed, murderous, and a Hekatonkheires with a love of killing his kind.

Simon is an A-Type Hekatonkheires who, after his partner Agent Knife faked his death, self-detonated but, thanks to Chain, survived in two separate parts as two independent entities. Spoon, after a long recovery and rehab, remained at THUMB and was Agent Fork's partner for a time...until he framed the latter with several HEEL agent murders. Simon has killed most of the people he loved, such as his entire family and his first friend and partner Nail. Agent Knife later recruited the A-Type for his intellect and ability to speak Obtuse. The two Hekatonkheires later in life start a long, murderous, and weird relationship.

  • Child Hater: His relationship with Knife collapsed because his murderous hatred towards Fork when Knife adopted him.
  • Creepy Laugh: Makes a weird squeaking noise instead of laughter, both before and after his bisection.
  • Half the Man He Used to Be: He is missing the entire right side of his body as a result of his timer malfunctioning when he detonated. He is still very physically able, and is notably faster than most hekatons of his size because of the reduced weight.
  • No Sympathy: A standard character beat before his bisection is his refusal to empathize with others or take responsibility for the violence he commits. He expresses his lack of concern for the helpers he massacres recreationally, and brushes off Cash's backstory with 'That sucks, buddy! I'd better go. Thanks for the sex!'
  • Self-Made Orphan: Killed his own family, and all the other hekatons on the DIEMIND station he was imprisoned one, by firing their prison cells at the DIEMIND fleet sent to apprehend him. Shows absolutely no remorse and jokes about it afterwards.
  • Smug Snake
  • Sword Cane: His weapon of choice after his bisection.
  • White Hair, Black Heart: Canonically Spoon's hair is a sea-foam coloured, very light blonde, but even in full-colour panels it is usually depicted as white. Simon is also an utterly remorseless mass murderer and an asshole to almost everyone he meets

     Agent Knife

He Could Really Use a Friend Right Now.
Click here  to see Knife's Base Apperance.

A mysterious blue-skinned creature lurks around with a pet worm. He smells terrible, has a red knife for a weapon, and terrifies Dylan to no end. Supposedly is Agent Knife, the legendary THUMB agent long thought dead.

Perkons, AKA Knife and Agent Knife, is the E-Type Hekatonkheires, the very first Hekaton, eldest sibling to the original Hekatonkheires, and their history's greatest myth and monster. The deeply traumatized adopted son of Good Leadman who, over his centuries-long life, has dedicated himself to the protection of humanity...through the genocide of his species and war against The Helper and her plans. He is the strongest Hekatonkheires in history, the partner of Agent Spoon, the adopted father of Agent Fork, and one of the most dangerous creatures alive that, despite his old age and crippled strength, still terrifies many of the powerful people and factions he's wronged over the years.

  • Boomerang Bigot: Wholeheartedly shares T.H.U.M.B's goal of killing all Hekatonkheires, including himself. The other hekaton THUMB agents mostly joined THUMB because of him.
  • The Dreaded: Widely recognized as one of the most dangerous characters in the setting, and certainly the most dangerous hekaton in a direct fight.
  • The Speechless: Can't speak. He previously used the Cosmic Spoon to speak on his behalf, but by the start of the comic, he is using a novelty Mr. Rotten branded text-to-speech phone app.
  • Your Days Are Numbered: All hekatons have a bomb inside them that counts down towards an eventual explosion, but Knife has even less time to live than normal because of his timer was damaged in his fight with Nail, and his healing from that injury was hampered by Celadon.

A Friend looking for...Great Opportunities

A Hydragora Worm and veteran Heel Agent sent to meet with the supposed Agent Knife for an exchange. Flirty, cunning, and...less than impressed with the supposed legendary agent she was sent to meet with.

Cirrus AKA Agent Paper, was once the worm pet of Crimson, who has dedicated most of her life searching for her. Cirrus has consumed a unique species created by her former King Worm, King Lucid, which allows her to enter others' memories and manipulate their mind. She was a significant of Miss Mirror, and is looking to save their friend Helix, the last living member of the unique species created by King Lucid, from the Lobe.

     Agent Scissor
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/733113_bzvr9rok7dh0usj.png
A Cut Above the Rest who Loves Butts like no one else

A HEEL agent (and THUMB traitor) who joined Agent Paper and Rock on their recent mission. A dickish, foul-mouthed, over-the-top robot with dreams of personhood and Agent Knife on the hunt for them.

Scissor is an A-Type Hekatonkheires Cyborg and the other half of Simon, tasked with infiltrating HEEL for THUMB. Crosshatch used their former robotic body to augment and disguise Simon as themselves to infiltrate HEEL more easily. As much of a dick as he was in his old life, if much more energetic and (barely) empathetic than his more depressed other half, that has managed to link back up with his thought to be lost love, Agent Knife, and learn the truths the E-Type had been keeping from him since they first met.

  • Child Hater: He despises children and rejects Knife's marriage proposal because he thinks Knife has adopted a bunny worm.
  • Fun T-Shirt: Constantly wears tacky T-shirts with obscene slogans.
  • Karmic Transformation: As Spoon, he saw robots like the Helpers as non-sentient and unworthy of respect, a position he appears to no longer hold after becoming a cyborg.
  • Shear Menace: Scissors is the only HEEL agent to use their namesake as a weapon, in the form of a pair of retractable shears mounted in his arm.
  • Sir Swears-a-Lot: While many cast members are foul-mouthed, almost everything Scissors says is sexually obscene. This is later revealed to be a design feature of all Crosshatch units, since Randall's initial doodle of a Crosshatch design contains the annotation 'says the most fucked up shit to distract enemies'.

     Agent Rock
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/733127_oeq27c5zk7mzg9r.png
Family is the bedrock to Genius

A famous B-Type Hekatonkheires HEEL agent sent with Agent Paper and Scissors on their most recent mission. A genius inventor who created the Rem-Bots. He is intelligent, socially savvy, and vengeful toward Agent Spoon, who has wiped out most of his entire family.

     Rem-Bots

     Evil Mother
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/3800469_xigtu9ihhlxb6fz.png
The Original Party Girl.
Evil Mother, the leader and founder of HEEL is the 600 Million-year-old Mandragora Worm ex-wife of Good Leadman, and mother of Crimson and King Canary. A hedonistic worm that, for most of her life, was satisfied with eating and fucking anything she could get a hold of at the bottom of the ocean, at some point resurfaced and became lovestruck with Good Leadman, and later had a brutal falling out over the fate of their child. She has dedicated herself to utterly punishing Good and all he stands for, founding HEEL, an organization bent on ending humanity, and was indirectly responsible for creating Hekatonkheires (the species being her design).

A Strange, multi-headed Worm who accosted the amnestic King Canary and revealed her kinghood...and was killed by Rome soon after.

Aeschylus was once Randall Auiguille's pet Hydragora Worm and later King Canary's (the original) first follower. He stood alongside King Canary and Good Leadman in their coup against King Aldebaran and, despite his devotion to his king, had a deep unrequited love for Good and Randall. He is the father of Nail and, for a time, was among Dylan's experiments to cure the Weed infection he received for King Canary (who was controlled by Evil Mother).

Aeschylus has since been revived as a Weed Clone due to his past infection. He used his bizarre weed powers to create a clone of Randall before the two of them were captured by Agent Steal.

A strange figure that has appeared across many characters' lives...usually shooting at them from his spaceship.

Priam is a high-ranking member of Diemind, their current ambassador, and the childhood friend, co-conspirator, and lover of Rome Auigille and Cesium. Priam aided and helped facilitate the beginnings of Tricend and The Helper project, helped the Thumb Rebellion escape Dmita, and would later go on to save Knife's life and capture Crimson. Enigmatic and growing more and more detached, Priam's exact goals and motivations are unknown, but he has an acute interest in the Final Feast and a vested interest in seeing Celadon and Knife kept alive. He is also currently dating Penelope Wibble.

A Chain Smoker with Plans Unspoken

Antony Aiguille is the asshole younger brother of Rome, the latter of whom is searching for him, having been missing for months. He is also one of the kings of Aiguille Moon.

Antony Aiguille is one of the primary Co-conspirators of "The Final Feast", having been consumed by the feral body of King Canary to gain control of it. The plan hit a snag when Antony, now in King Canary's body, woke up as an amnestic young woman, only with brief flashes of their former memory and unaware of their King Worm nature. Antony has been able to regain consciousness in their mindscape but is still unable to regain control of their body (which is now operating as an amnestic separate entity), leaving Antony and Celadon to continue their schemes from within the body and mind of King Canary, slowly but surely moving things into place for "The Final Feast".

     Crimson
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/733115_hbzlkobwe65wcfd.png
No Ordinary Queen

An odd Queen Worm who tore Agent Fork apart (literally) and has motives and goals far above your typical Queen.

Crimson is the long-thought killed Human and Mandragora Worm hybrid child of Good Leadman and Evil Mother. They survived their father's attempt to kill them as a baby and lived out most of their life as a human in a worm and Hekatonkheires-infested colony. She has a long and sorted history with Celadon, as both their former significant other and the current host of their heart, Galore, who they unintentionally maimed and Celadon absorbed, and Agent Paper (then known as Cirrus), who was their pet worm for a time who is now trying to find them. She lost her human body when it was eaten by a Hydragora Queen, but thanks to their Mandragora heritage she was able to possess and turn the worm body into their own.

  • An Arm and a Leg: Crimson ripped her own arm off while freaking out over turning into a Worm Queen. Unlike man injuries Crimson sustains, the arm never grew back.
  • Good People Have Good Sex: Crimson is one of the closest things the comic has to an unambiguously good-hearted character, and Dylan is extremely vocal about how good she is in bed.
  • Mind Hive: As a Mandragora hybrid, creatures Crimson eats can persist within her as additional personalities, and can speak to her or even control her body while unconscious or intensely distracted. This is in addition to the other personality tied to her Mandragora heart.
  • Eyepatch of Power: Wears one which is actually a tactical apparatus during the flashbacks to her military service on DM Tia.

     Chain
  • Dem Bones: Sometimes appears as an oversized blood-red skeleton from the neck down, with a face very similar to Crimson.
  • Extreme Omni Sexual: Chain is obsessed with getting a body so she can experience sex, and while she talks about specifically wanting a 'girlfriend', she says that said 'girlfriend' could pretty much be anyone or anything, possibly because she hasn't had a body long enough to know what she actually finds attractive.

At first, Galore was a massive mass of hands harassing Crimson, who then transformed into a more feminine form. A C-Type Hekatonkheires that reveals the nature of her species to Crimson...who then accidentally maims her.

At some point was absorbed by Celadon, which generated Celadon #2, acting as both the basis in which that iteration of The Helper's personality and memory is based, and a way to persist, being able to manifest through her on occasion.

     Celadon/The Helper
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/733121_7igwlewgbkyfaia.png
How many sides does a triangle have? Three!

A strange woman inhabiting Crimson's body, dishing out less than kind advice, and knows much more than they let on. Has known Crimson since she was a human, but a lot has changed since then...

Celadon or "The Helper" is an odd robotic alien whose true body is The Helper ship, a massive living vessel where most of the story takes place. The Helper has three "sides", three unique personalities and entities with Celadon as the "alpha". Celadon is driven to leave the moon and return to her people, no matter who or what she has to destroy to get there. Celadon has been a focal point of many people's lives, being the predator of the Hekatonkheires, the nemesis of Agent Knife, the past lover (kinda) of Crimson, and the current co-conspirator of "The Final Feast" alongside Antony Aiguille.

Celadon is, in actuality (and unknown to even herself), not a true alien lifeform, but the result of a plan to gain influence in Diemind by Roman Aiguille, Priam, and the "original" Celadon, a human woman with a Mandragora heart imbedded in her skull by the name of Cesium. After Cesium had a near-fatal ship crash, Aldebaran ate the remains of Cesium and, alongside Roman, created an entirely new species, "The Helper" to continue the original plan, all the while lying to Celadon that she was an alien from another world. Celadon is, in effect, the truest embodiment of Roman and Priam's lies, being an accidental offshoot of the original Celadon personality that gained dominance and has lived out the fictional alien story as straight as possible, which has spiraled into the "Final Feast" plan.

     The Helper # 2
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/20678440_ugzzg1uhbtwlsbq.png
The Robotic Second Side of a Bitchy Triangle

One of Celadon's "Sides". The Middle-ranked Celadon is best characterized by her well-kept, swooped hair, robotic disposition, and far more insubordinate behavior. She was the personality that first met, fell in love with, and became a significant other to Crimson.

Celadon #2 is, more or less, the "Real" Celadon, being the first personality to appear when reborn by Roman Augillie and King Aldebaran. She possesses a patchwork of Cesium's memories and unique abilities exclusive to her (as the original Helper). In her fight with Todd Mcgold, Aldebaran removed her control helmet to help which, unintentionally, generated a separate Celadon Persona that quickly gained dominance after Celadon #2 rejected them, the former of whom would go on to be Celadon #1.

     The Helper # 3
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/20678448_4y8ns4cclvoscqk.png
The Weepy Third Side of a Bitchy Triangle

One of Celadon's "Sides". The lowest-ranked Celadon is best characterized by her messy hair, lack of confidence, and melancholic disposition. Supposedly the Result of Celadon absorbing Galore, which manifested in The Helper #3 has most of Galore's memories and can manifest her appearance on occasion.

     Penelope Wibble

A Brat with Sass and a lot suspensions
Penelope Wibble, a member of the Wibble family, is a nice, if a bit bratty friend of Princess Cash Goodman and Rome's Ex-Fiance. Has known the current trio of Auigille brothers since childhood and, unknown to her, was closer to finding some of their plans than she realized.

Is currently dating Priam
