General

  • The easily-angered Popuko and mostly-calm Pipimi themselves are comical enough due to the resulting dynamic between the two. Their cute looks with constant cat smiles on their faces add on to the humour.

General

  • The Stylistic Suck nature of Bob Epic Team tends to add on to the skit's comedic value due to how bizarre it looks.
  • The insert songs.
    • "Let's Pop Together" basically states that haters are a waste of time and will become fans anyway.
    • "Tree of the Heart" sounds calm at first...and it gets even more joyful when the lyrics state that you're just not trying your best as it becomes a bit more harsh.
    • The deleted song, "Time to Sleep, Kon-chan", has Popuko later raging, really wanting Kon-chan to sleep as she ruins the entire stage. Pipimi shrugs it off questioning "Isn't that chuunibyou?"
  • The episode Cursed Mansion ~Jukan~ can be amusing if you consider that it's about adorable albeit surreal girls scaring people.

By episode

Encounter
  • The Bob Epic Team version of the "Are you mad" strip has Popuko then beating the crap out of Pipimi after she has stated she is not mad from two punches, then going to a factory as she's turned into pickled radishes. She's still not mad.
  • In the end of the "POP TEAM STORY" skit, one of the villains later has a fidget spinner on their middle finger for no reason whatsoever.

Donca*Sis

The 30th Cyber War

  • In the dub, after Popuko defeats the Spirit of Pipimi and destroys the building. The remains of Pipimi (a ribbon) yells out "YAS QUEEN!".

Hellshake Yano

  • Emotional Documentary: Hellshake Yano is a (mostly) live Bob Team Epic skit where the creators AC-Bu deliver a hammy performance of Hellshake Yano using just their sketchbooks and their voice-acting. It is ridiculously over-the-top yet works.

The Dragon of Iidabashi: Pipi's Revenge

  • The main segment.
    • The Lemon skit is adapted here but takes a sharp swerve. Instead of Popuko licking a lemon before Pipimi plays a guitar song, the skit is instead portrayed as a Yakuza drama with the lemon licking replacing them swearing an oath with drinks in jail.
    • Pipimi decides to sever ties with the Yakuza group she's in because they've lost their way and started committing YouTube crimes.
    • At the end of the skit Pipimi rolls up to Popuko's funeral and pulls out a guy who claims that despite claiming to hate Subculture Bitches, she sucked up to them a lot. This causes Popuko to spring up from her grave and shoot him dead, after which she and Pipimi blow up the Takeshobo Yakuza and drive away.
    • The male version has Popuko muttering during her funeral and hilariously contemplating about it.
  • 8B's dub has Popuko voiced by Johnny Yong Bosch where he screams and/or freaks out in several parts. Specifically in the part where he treat's Pipimi's injuries and acon in the beginning.
    • He also voices the Bacon in the beginning, also screaming and freaking out a lot.

Ginza Hostess Detective Pipimi

  • The usually stoic Pipimi has a rare and hilarious moment of lashing out:
Pipimi: In Ginza, we call women like you a damn fool!

THE AGE OF POP TEAM EPIC

The Convenience Store

  • In the dub of the end of 13A, where Popuko and Pipimi parodies the opening Final Fantasy XV, Popuko and Pipimi talk like a Valley Girl.

Edo Era Pop Team

  • The opening for the first half of the episode is another opening featuring the cast of Hoshiiro Girldrop. As for the second half, the opening starts as the same Hoshiiro Girldrop, only for it to get hijacked by the cast of Bob Epic Team.

POPUTAN

  • The main segment of the episode involves Popuko and Pipimi in a Dora the Explorer parody where they go to a farm to get some milk.
    • The farm that the girls go to is run by a farmer who asks the girls if they want to squeeze out some of his milk. Unfortunately for him, this is Popuko and Pipimi he's dealing with, and they respond to him by strapping him down to a Conveyor Belt o' Doom heading toward a buzzsaw. To add things up, the farmer still sports his happy Eyes Always Shut face as he approaches his doom.
    • Pipimi's attempt to get the home audience to cheer Popuko on as she milks a cow backfires, as the pressure of their cheers causes Popuko to snap. In Part A Popuko (voiced by Ikue Otani) screams profanities as she walks off, while in Part B she (voiced by Jun'ya Enoki) just shouts angrish.
    • Pipimi spoofs Dora's occasional Spanish by talking in Gratuitous English. Made more jarring in Part B where Yūma Uchida says in a much lower voice and with perfect pronunciation.
    • At the end of the skit, while Popuko and Pipimi are having a barbecue, the farmer pops up again and asks "Would you like to try my wiener, too?" The girls strap him down to the Conveyor Belt o' Doom again, only he has a bandage on his crotch area this time.
