This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.
NOTE: Edited with OP's permission.

I appreciate it. In an instance of not seeing the trees fore the forest, I failed to check the existence of subpages first.
I feel dumb, and that request can be retracted. My challenge to the edit request above mine still stands on the aforementioned grammatical grounds.
Beyond the beaten path lies the absolute end. It matters not who you are... Death awaits you. — NyxThis vacation has been much more hectic than I was anticipating, but I'll try to work on these tomorrow.
Please add the following examples to The Lonely Island. Thanks in advance, sorry if I didn't include enough details
- The Big Rotten Apple: "I Run NY" mocks this; it is sung from the perspective of New York's mayor and his complaints get progressively more mundane as the song progresses (at one point he nearly cries because the Chief of Police mocked his tie).
- Mind-Control Music:
- The song in "Go Kindergarten" convinces the audience to do all sorts of weird things, including things which shouldn't even be possible, like making their butts drink helium and speak in a high-pitched voice.
- The eponymous box from "Boom Box" causes people to lose control when they hear music coming from it.

"The only way to truly waste an idea is to shove it where it doesn't belong."That latest item needs the Example Indentation fixed.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman@7047: That's fine, but whichever we use, can you please make sure the YMMV matches?
CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsPlease add the following to No Real Life Examples, Please!:
* ToxicPhlebotinum: {{Phlebotinum}} is basically "plot fuel" with PowersAsThePlotDemands, and there is no plot written by a creator for real life.
* YearInsideHourOutside: Fantasy trope not possible in real life.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpPlease make the following changes to Western Animation:
- Please replace the Captain Planet entry with: Captain Planet and the Planeteers has Verminous Skumm . While the other eco-villains were too much of a caricature to be really scary, this doesn't apply to this disgusting rat-thing, whose actions are almost always portrayed in a much worse light than those of the other villains. "Mind Pollution" had him peddling mind-affecting drugs to teenagers (one of which was Linka's cousin, who died as an indirect consequence of his intoxication) just for the joy of ruining their lives and those of their friends and families. One episode had him harassing a kid who's HIV positive and spread lies about AIDS just because the kid's an easy target. Another episode has him trying to force toxic food down the captured Planeteers' mouths to kill them in a needlessly and horrifically painful way. "If It's Doomsday, This Must Be Belfast" has him planting a Nuclear Bomb in Jerusalem's Temple Mount, baiting an Israeli or a Palestinian to set it off (as well as bringing nukes into The Troubles and apartheid South Africa).
- Exosquad: Please replace the third entry with the writeup Exo Squad (slight tweaks).
- Please get rid of the last sentence for the Freddie as F.R.O.7 entry.
- Please make it: Eobward Thawne (AKA Professor Zoom) from Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox...
- For the Mega Man entry, please make it: Mega Man: Dr. Wily would qualify...
- Mighty Max: For the last 2, please use the writeups found Mighty Max (I made some minor changes).
- Osmosis Jones and The Pirates of Dark Water need correct namespacing.
- Please wrap a Morally Ambiguous Doctorate around Dr. Robotnik for the Sonic entry.
- Please get rid of the Pioneer's Violin entry.
- Please remove the final sentence for the We Are The Living example.

On Double Standard Rape: Female on Male, the Ranma ½ example misrepresent things, please replace the current with:
- In the final arc of the Ranma ½ manga, a mind-controled Shampoo takes advantage of the fact that Akane is helpless and in her control to force Ranma to sleep with her (as their "last memory together", since she was ordered to kill him afterwards). Surprisingly, since the series had played the reverse for laughs (involving female Ranma's mishaps) this was played seriously... until the people in the next room started eavesdropping and completely misunderstood what was going on.

Beware the Quiet Ones: Various sources, including the FBI, Brian Fyfield-Shayler (his English teacher) and Robert Fisk (the British journalist who interviewed him) described him as a mild-mannered man with a cool demeanour.

7048: Done, although I had to pothole that latter change because just using the trope wouldn't have made the sentence make sense.
7049: Drifting Skies is right; there are some spelling and grammar problems with that entry. Please correct those and re-submit.

CM Dates; CM Pending; CM DraftsCan you please explain the grammar problems to me?
Please add to Monster.Anime And Manga under the Dance In The Vampire Bund lot:
- Radovan Elichenko in life was a Serbian war criminal who, during the Bosnian wars led his troupe of soldiers into a village while the men were away and slaughtered the elderly and the children. The women suffered worse. Any woman in their teens or over where taken and subjected to endless rapes and tortures. To escape justice, Elichenko became a Cudoviste or monster in the Slavic tongue- a vampire. He then joined Lord Ivanovic and carried out 'purges' of any leftover clans in Ivanovic's territory. After fleeing to the Bund and betraying Ivanovic to gain sanctuary, Elichenko was confronted by the father of one of his victims who had become a vampire to hunt Elichenko down. when presented with a picture of the girl he'd raped and tortured, Elichenko sneered he'd done 'thousands of Bosniak sluts' and only remembered them by how they looked 'down there' before mocking him about having probably slept with his daughter because 'Muslim men love to control their women.' He then proceeded to assume his true form to kill him, unaware that the rage inside a grieving father was far more powerful than Elichenko knew.
Same page, cut this line/stub:
- On the subject of pre-Ghibli works, Future Boy Conan's Lepka is essentially Muska's spritual predecessor and equally as evil.
To Monster.Film
- Kazuo Kiriyama from The Film of the Book for Battle Royale stands in contrast to his emotionless counterpart from the book and manga versions. Kiriyama in the film is a ruthless and psychopathic Blood Knight who voluntarily signed up for 'The Program' to be able to hunt down teenagers for for fun. Throughout the film, Kiriyama wracks up the highest kill count, not caring if his victims are helpless or not, and after gunning down one girl, he uses a megaphone so everyone around can hear her pain and his execution of her. While he never speaks a word, his Slasher Smile throughout the film speaks volumes for how much he is relishing his murder of everyone around him.
Same page, add under The Kurgan
- Kane from Highlander III: The Sorceror is a truly vicious Asian warrior who kills and rapes for fun. He's introduced butchering an entire village with his two immortal companions after the villagers don't give him the information he wants fast enough. He kills Connor Macleod's latest mentor, the wise Japanese sorceror Nakano, to steal his magical powers. Upon his release in the present after being buried in a cave for centuries, he promptly kills one of his associates without incident after sending the other one off to do his dirty work for him. He continues his rampage by raping a prostitute, promises Connor that he will rape his love interest after he's taken his head, and kidnaps and threatens his son to get Connor to come to him.
Add TV Rulez's The Joker from The Batman to Monster.Western Animation at post 19356
Replce the Danny Phantom writeup on the same with Occasional Exister's at 19448
Done. I reformatted the Highlander entries since the link to the first film is just a redirect to the Franchise page.
Going back to 7062, here's what jumps out at me. "While the other eco-villains were too much of a caricature to be really scary." is a sentence fragment. "One episode had him harassing a kid who's HIV positive and spread lies about AIDS..." has mixed verb tenses. In 7049: you misspelled "tried"; the third sentence is a run-on; there's an unnecessary comma after Zuko in the fourth sentence, "shoot" is misspelled, and the entire sentence is awkwardly constructed; "fares" in the next sentence should be "fared" to match the paragraph's tense, and that sentence seems over-long and awkward as well.
The "get help with English" thread can help if the CM thread isn't helping.
UsefulNotes.Osama Bin Laden should be locked - the pagemove tool doesn't affect lock status.

To fix that glitch, you can also null edit any of the subpages; I fixed that with Laconic/.
