Chim-chimney, chim-chimney, chim-chim cher-ee
Those are three words that don't make sense to me
But I'm used to words that don't make sense to me
From all those commercials I see on TV
Allan Sherman, in his parody of "Chim-Chim-Cher-ee"

An Advertising Campaign is a series of ads, all for the same product or business, which have a unifying theme, cast of characters, or plot. Some ad campaigns come and go and no one really remembers them once they're gone. Then there are the ones that are used for a long time, are extremely effective, or are particularly memorable. Usually, this means that they are working really well. However, they can lead to a case of What Were They Selling Again? if the advert in question performs poorly, see this page for examples of how not to advertise something.

This is a page for those memorable, notable ad campaigns. (Of course, since There Is No Such Thing as Notability, you can actually add any ad campaign with a wiki page to this index.) See also Advertising Tropes. For the up-to-date auto-index, see this page.

Interestingly, advertising agencies became the subject of the American Cyclic National Fascination of The '50s and '60s.
