"Let's skip all this and go to a 'Tenedor Libre' instead."
"La Argentina de siempre" ("The Argentina of Always") is a political ad made by Javier Milei and Miguel Ángel Boggiano as part of the campaign for the 2021 legislative elections.

Milei and Boggiano arrive to the restaurant "La Argentina de Siempre" and ask for the options in the menu. Each one is a subtle Double Entendre to Argentine politics. At the end of the first video, they leave and seek a "Tenedor Libre" instead. At the end of the second, Milei gets inside and starts an argument with the owners.

Tropes

  • Beleaguered Boss: As the waiters come and go, they usually make a portrait of Alberto Fernandez fall down.
"Take care! Each thing you do, you take down the image of the president!"
  • Double Entendre: Each option of the menu, when formulated, seems to be about food. In context, they are jokes about the Peronist government of Alberto Fernández, and some about former president Mauricio Macri.
  • Mis-blamed: invoked Things in Argentina keep breaking, and someone inside keeps saying that it's Mauricio Macri's fault. Someone else protests that Macri is no longer there.
  • Unsatisfiable Customer: Hours pass, and nobody serves Milei the food he ordered, but service for the VIP area runs smoothly. He can't take it anymore and protests to the people who run the Argentina.
