News flash: the world sees Alex's willy!
News Guy

I Saw Your Willy is a British PSA about Internet safety that can be viewed here.

It follows a boy named Alex, who decides to take a selfie of his nether regions and send it to his friend Katy as a joke, but unfortunately, it goes viral and the next day, everywhere he goes, people are telling him that they saw his willy. The PSA ends by saying that if a child shares something online that they shouldn't, the results can be catastrophic.

The PSA, funnily enough, has gone viral itself because, despite it focusing on the dangers of sharing inappropriate things online, people have found it humorous with its use of the word "willy" and exaggerated plot.

I Saw Your Willy provides examples of:

  • Big, Stupid Doodoo-Head: The bully texts Alex with "Ur willy is rubbish!".
  • Cold Turkeys Are Everywhere: Wherever Alex goes, there's something that reminds him of the photo: first his class shouts, "I saw your willy!", then a busload of people does, then it ends up on the news, then he gets messages related to it.
  • Cyberbullying: This PSA is about the dangers of sharing inappropriate things online has a boy share a picture of his penis as a joke. However, it goes viral and a bully sends him a message saying, "Your willy is rubbish!".
  • Didn't Think This Through: Alex really didn't think about what would happen if he sent his friend a picture of his willy.
  • Downer Ending: Everyone, including Alex's grandmother, sees the photo of his willy, and there's no way to take it off the Internet once it's spread.
  • Embarrassment Plot: The plot is about Alex being embarrassed by everyone having seen his willy.
  • Exact Words: Alex takes a picture of his willy using Snapchat and sends it to Katy, which he doesn't think will have consequences because Snapchat pictures disappear after a few seconds. However, there's nothing stopping Katy from taking a screenshot of the photo and saving it to her phone's camera roll...
  • Grumpy Old Man: Blink and you'll miss it, but there are two grumpy seniors: when Alex is running out of his school, an elderly lunch lady can be seen with a frown and her arms folded, and on the bus, an old man is seen frowning.
  • Instant Humiliation: Just Add YouTube!: After Alex puts a photo of his privates online as a joke, it gets to all the other children at his school, the teaching faculty, a bunch of random people riding a bus, a newscaster ("Newsflash! The world sees Alex's willy!"), a bully, a sexual predator, and finally Alex's grandmother.
  • Internet Safety Aesop: The moral to the story is that you should be careful about what you post online.
  • Naked People Are Funny: In-Universe, the reason the photo goes viral is because everyone thinks it's hilarious seeing someone's willy.
  • No Ending: Enforced. The video ends with Alex still sad and embarrassed about the photo, to drive home the point.
  • Pædo Hunt: After the picture of Alex's willy gets out, he gets a text message from a strange man that says, "I liked your willy. Can I show you mine?"
  • Pet Dress-Up: At the beginning, Alex and Sam take a photo of a dog with a weird hat on.
  • Scenery Censor: When Katy begins to share the photograph of Alex, her thumb covers up Alex's groin. Other than that, Alex's willy is covered up via pixel censoring.
  • Share Phrase: Everybody Alex meets after the photo goes viral says the title to him.
  • Shout-Out: The idea of a photo that "disappears in a few seconds" is a reference to Snapchat.
  • Storefront Television Display: When running home from school after finding out everyone saw his willy, Alex stops in front of a storefront showing numerous television screens, only for a newscaster to appear on every one of the screens and announce that the whole world is seeing Alex's willy.
  • Too Smart for Strangers: The moral of watching out for child molesters is touched upon when one of the responses Alex gets to the picture of his willy is a creepy man who states that he likes his willy and offers to show Alex his own.
  • Unwitting Instigator of Doom: Sam is one for getting the idea to take a photo of Alex's willy, and Katy is another one for sending the picture to her friends, who sent it to theirs, causing it to circulate all around the school.
