Gainomax is a Swedish product name owned by Norrmejerier and used for energy drinks, sports drinks and other dietary products.
In their advertising campaigns, Gainomax products are said to have more protein than bananas, and the commercials feature monkeys.
It is also known for having one of its commercials being reviewed by The Nostalgia Critic.
The Gainomax commercials contain examples of:
- Artistic License – Biology: The baboons featured in the commercials are shown to have plain human teeth◊, when they do not in real life.
- Big "NEVER!": Roared by the "Head of Intelligence" baboon after the "Minister of Defense" capuchin asks if they should forgive the human race.
- Big "SHUT UP!": This commercial has the monkey president shouting "SILENCE!!!" at the other ranting monkeys.
- Big Word Shout: The monkeys getting angry over the humans mocking their kind:"LIARS!""THIEVES!""TRAITORS!"
- Is This Thing On?: Asked by the "Minister of Defense" capuchin in the "Forgiveness" ad.
- Precision F-Strike: A censored example:"F*** BANANAS!"
- Punctuated Pounding:
- Shout-Out: This commercial is clearly a parody of The Ring.
- Stock Animal Diet: The "Ring" parody commercial threatens humans to stop eating bananas after workouts, as it is "the monkey's food".
- However, in a later ad campaign, the entire monkey race is shown getting fed up with eating bananas and want the Gainomax product instead.
- Stock Audio Clip: If you watch the latest ads long enough, you'll hear the same high-pitched monkey cries often.
- Stock Footage: One commercial uses the "Getty Images Baboons" clips.
- Stupidest Thing I've Ever Heard: Used in this commercial.
- This Means War!: One of the monkeys says this at one point in this commercial.
