The Party Freak himself.

Freddie Freaker was the mascot of "Freak Phone", a call number invented by L.A Toys. The phone number would apparently let you call with the titular party freak, Freddie Freaker. The commercial advertising the number became a famous meme due to the lack of context, as well as its catchy jingle sung by Stan Bush. This would lead to OneyPlays making official merchandise of the character using the permission of the license holders.

Freddie Freaker contains examples of:

  • Creepy Doll: Freddie's design is very unnerving.
  • Everybody Do the Endless Loop: Freddie's dance called "the freak" is just him moving side to side over and over. He was designed with movable arms, but for whatever reason this isn't apparent in the final product.
  • Special Guest: Stan Bush (of "The Touch" fame) sings the song for the commercial.
  • Uncommon Time: The commercial jingle switches from 4/4 to 2/4 every seventh bar.
  • What Were They Selling Again?: Humorously, the commercial never states a reason why to call the number, it just talks about Freddie sometimes, saying the phone number, and "CALL NOW". It doesn’t even state you can call Freddie.

Freddie Freaker

The Freddie Freaker commercial has become the punchline to many of horrible commercials, one reason is due to it never stating a reason to call the number shown no more wants to show you how cool Freddy Freaker is. They even forgot to add that if you called the number you would be able to call Freddie. Many people who have heard of the commercial today do not even know that it was a commercial for a phone number.

How well does it match the trope?
