     Beginnings arc

  • Destiny Comes Knocking:

  • Set in Stone:
    • The League of Villains thanking Izuku for getting rid of Overhaul by phone and sending him crates of cash the next day. As messed up as it is, the money allows Inko to start her own company so she can support both Izuku and Eri.
    • Izuku tries to convince Eri to go outside with her. He tempts her with candied apples, which are sweeter than apples. But to make it, they need to go to the grocery store, which means going outside. Eri accepts. Baby steps, people.
    • After Izuku was petrified by accident, Eri was about to call the Medusa girl who was responsible a "monster" for what she has done before seeing her cry and apologize a lot, causing Eri to remembers how she was forced to use her Quirk by Overhaul, how she used to refer herself as a "monster", and that Izuku keeps assuring her that she is not. So Eri accepts the Snake-hair girl's apology, making her jolt with happiness because she never heard people say that to her before.
    • Just how quickly Eri and Kei bonded. When the police came to interrogate the latter, Eri did not let her go, and she let Kei hold Izuku with her while they sleep next to him in the hospital.
    • Kei is very thankful for what Izuku did, because he is the first person who has been kind to her ever since she was kicked out, and even more ecstatic when the young boy adopts her, for he's not only giving her a new family but also making her and Eri sisters.

  • Double Trouble:
    • The younger Midoriyas spend their day making and selling on a food stall, even though they are rich. Just for Fun.
      • Even so, some future customers got scared off from buying due to Kei's snake hair, making her feel like she needs to hide it. Her new family proves her wrong.
Izuku: *Petting Kei's snake hair* You already have to hide enough of yourself, [...] If they can't see how cute my little sister is then I don't want their money.
Eri: Y-yeah! *Petting Kei's snakes alongside Izuku* Your snakes are pretty!
    • Fat Gum recognizes Izuku from the Yakuza case, and Eri thanks him for stopping Overhaul.
      • When Izuku admits that the reason he has been skipping attending school (besides taking care of the two girls) was that he has no worth for Aldera Academy for being Quirkless, the rotund hero immediately scoffs to the "discriminatory jerks" because "Quirk discrimination is illegal and wrong!", and offered to "throw the book at 'em" when the young boy insisting that he is okay about being treated like that.
    • Izuku calls her mom about encountering two more kids, torn between wanting to take those kids in and not wanting to burden her further. Inko then admits that ever since they adopt Eri, Izuku has been smiling more often, and even more so when Kei joins them. And the reason she hasn't been coming home from running her new company was so he doesn't have to think much about the family's finances. By the end of the day, all Inko wants is for her son to be happy, and if it is because he loves taking care of children, she will support it wholeheartedly (but she also warns him to think deeply about the future, both his and the kids').
    • Namae gives Izuku books for teaching and Quirk training. While it is a Lazy Bum move, she could've also hired or sent someone. it shows that she believes in the Quirkless teenager and that he can raise these kids.
Namae: Our files say you're a smart kid, probably smarter than the test scores you get reflect.
    • Just how quickly Kiba accepts her new "Caretaker"

  • Shorts 1:
    • When discussing their future, Eri answered that she wanted to help people, but being a Pro Hero means that she has to hurt others, and she didn't like that. Izuku gives her an idea of becoming a doctor or nurse, where her Quirk can be utilized the best, making her stepsiblings admire her and believe in her.
    • The kids argue over which color is superior, Red or Green. Kiba is the only one who voted red, and she cannot accept that, making Izuku lecture her about "people can have different opinions". Kiba then asked what kind of green object surpasses everything. The other kids' answers? Izuku himself, much to his shock of joy.
    • Izuku and Kiba bonding over Super Hero Bash Unlimited, especially considering that she never play a video game before.
    • Eri fell asleep from getting tranquilized due to her Quirk getting out of control as Fu and Kiba returns from their training. When Izuku tries to lift the other kids' spirit from their concern with Eri by offering them an outdoor lunch with homemade cooking, Kiba declined, because Eri won't be there for it, much to Izuku's warm smile.
It was moments like this that made it feel like a family.

  • Oozing In:
    • Izuku offers Fu and Kiba a trip to an amusement park when they reach their exercise targets. Fu thought that an amusement park is no better than a scam, but he didn't say it because Kiba is ecstatic about going there.
    • Just the fact that All-Might sees Izuku as a friend.
    • Kiba is attacking Toshinori because Izuku faints in front of him. While what she did was wrong, she did it because she thinks her caretaker was threatened.
    • After waking up and hearing the situation, and Kiba keeps pulling Never My Fault, rather than scolding or yelling at Kiba, Izuku gave her a test by asking her to throw a pebble at a jar Fu carries. When she keeps missing and calling fluke, he teaches her that Humans Are Flawed, but they can only become better if they admit that they are in the wrong and that if anybody else was in All-Might's shoes, they will not survive, and Izuku will be forbidden from taking care of her, making her cry and apologizes to All-Might.
      • After that, Izuku hugs Kiba, telling her that he understands that what she did was for his safety, and not actively trying to injure people, and decided that her only punishment is removing the Good Behavior Points for the "amusement park reward" she gets today. It shows how much he cares for his new family, not just how good he is at taking care of OPCs.
    • Izuku signed the contract that makes him a permanent OPC caretaker as O.P.C.C.C.'s partner. It should've sounded like a Deal with the Devil, considering that he will be In It for Life and how young he is comparatively, but Izuku did not regret it one bit.
This was his job now. This was his life now. He would be spending the rest of his life giving children the happiness and love they deserved.
He thought about the kids already under his care. He thought about them playing together, being happy.
      Because of him.
He smiled slightly. If he couldn't be a hero, then he could settle for this.

  • Shorts 2
    • As soon as Sansan got injected with the medicine that makes her acid turned basic, she immediately hugs Izuku, because she never hug anyone before. Izuku decided to indulge her.
Izuku: San, Let's go get everyone, and give them the biggest group hug we can.
      Sansan: Yaah!
    • Sansan and Kiba watching One Piece together after the two fighting over the remote not an hour ago.
    • Izuku fell asleep on the desk while he was busy studying everything he needs to take care of the kids. The kids, know and feel grateful about it (which includes Kiba being angry about his lack of self-care), help Inko carry Izuku to bed, and join him in bed by sleeping next to him.
    • Fu told the other kids about Izuku's notes he found, and they were all upset about what they think happens to Izuku and how this "Kacchan" had been bullying him because, to them, Izuku is a good person.
    • Izuku confesses that he is Quirkless, and he had been hiding it from the kids because he's worried that they will see him differently, only for the kids to assure him that he is wrong.
Kiba: Listen here, Caretaker. Your lack of quirk matters not to us! And anyone who would treat such a kind person poorly is an enemy of the great Kiba! You took me and my minion in! You gave us food and a home when no one else would! And you have done so to the rest of my siblings! You are our Caretaker! And we will forever respect you!
      Sansan: Yeehh!
Fu: We'd never want to leave you Izuku, our lives have gotten a lot better since we met you, and not having a quirk doesn't really change that.
      Eri: *Nods with determined look*
      * Sansan wraps around everyone for a group hug*
Izuku: Thank you. *Tears of Joy* Thank you, all of you.

  • Something Afoot:
    • Izuku musing about his expanding family...if only that's all there is and that there is nothing wrong about it.
    • Namae immediately hire some lawyers to sue the Omoides for Parental Neglect as soon as she heard Kioku's story. Namae may be a Lazy Bum and a Jerkass, but she's certainly a Jerkass with a Heart of Gold.
    • Kioku modifies Eri's memories so she forgets most of her past and rewrites it as her being Izuku's biological daughters alongside her, even though it was the most taxing part of her Quirk's multi-taskings because Kioku thinks Eri deserves happiness after everything she went through.
    • Rather than upset, Izuku apologizes to Kioku for her to have to do this in the first place just so someone could love her, and promises that he will give her all the love and care she wants, making her wailing on his chest.

  • Shorts 3:
    • Izuku feels uncomfortable about being Absurdly Youthful Father when the kids call him "Dad", but after the kids' confession and the epiphany that he did agree to adopt them, he decided to embrace his new title and role.
    • After seeing Eri having Thousand-Yard Stare from her memory being returned, Kioku decided to rewrite it again before Izuku stopped her. Using his experience as a bullying victim, Izuku told the girls that people only become stronger after they've gone through bad things, and Eri will be stronger than everyone.
      • Even so, he still let Kioku take the worst parts of Eri's memories that directly involve Overhaul.
    • Kioku kept Eri's and Izuku's past secret, despite the other kids keep asking her about it. Then after she only gave them an "it's too bad to be worth it", Kiba and Fu reach the same conclusion as Izuku and declare that they trust Izuku and have faith that he always trying to help, to the other kids' agreement.
    • Kioku is enraged from witnessing Izuku's past, and she swears to protect and support him.
    • Izuku encourages Eri to go outside every week by going to the park together with her, even though he himself doesn't like going out due to his past as a bully victim. And when Eri said that Kioku tells her that "everyone outside their family is mean", Izuku assures her that that is not true, and there are kind people out there.

  • It Hides The Tears:
    • Izuku patiently try to make Kota rethink heroes by explaining why villains exist and why the world has heroes rather than just letting people use their Quirk freely to fight crime.
    • Kioku offers Kota a Laser-Guided Amnesia about his parents so he will no longer be constantly upset. But that offer ends up making him realize and admit that he did love and misses them.
      • Izuku letting Kota to Cry into Chest after the above.
      • The next morning, Kota saw Izuku, Eri, Kei, and Kioku sleeping around him in the living room. They were worried about him after hearing him cry last night.

    • Despite her talent as fashion designer, Shiruku is still not that good at drawing. Izuku decides to help her by drawing based on her description, and the results amazed Shiruku and make her beg for more.
    • Kioku immediately hugs Shiruku instead of being distant at first or using her Quirk on her, much to the others' surprise. Izuku assumes that being under his care counts as an auto-trust guarantee.

  • Into The Woods:
    • Izuku initially calls for help before remembering that he left the kids alone in the mansion, immediately asking All-Might to look after them instead. The teen really prioritizes his kids' safety over himself.
    • Few days after the "rescue", Izuku did not punish the kids for trying to save him, but he tells them that he prefers that the kids should just let the adults help him because he is worried about what would happen to them because of him. this ends with a group hug.
I won't punish them this time. They must have been so worried about me. And I can't say I wouldn't have done the same thing if I were them. [...] If this happens again I'll have to be more firm. I can't let them get hurt.

  • Shorts 5:
    • The Wild Child, now named Yami, tries to understand his new circumstance, after Kioku uses her Quirk to teach him how to speak and basic manners, that he no longer needs to scavenge or hunt to find food, sleeping in on the cold cave floor, and fend off wild animals daily.
The boy felt something. Something he did not recognize.
He searched his new memories for context.
Peace. That's what it was. He felt at peace.
    • Yami tries steak for the first time. While his newfound taste for seasoned meat ends up causing a mess at the dinner table, he learns how "saying please" and apology work.
    • While Shiruku's appearance drove some viewers away, plenty of those who stays defended her against Quirk discrimination from the leaving ones.
"Ah, spider! Kill it with fire!"
"Ah, quirk discrimination! Kill with fire!"
    • Izuku realizes that his Anger Born of Worry tirade is getting too far, causing Kiba to cry. He immediately apologizes to her, and promises that he never held it against her and would never love her any less for her recklessness nor her energetic attitude, making Kiba accidentally call him "Dad" instead of the usual "Caretaker". While she gets some punishment, Izuku assures her that everyone cares about her.
Izuku: Invincible or not, we'll always worry about you
Kiba pouted and tried to act like she wasn't touched by their care.
But despite it being her favorite color, the red on her face betrayed her completely.

  • Hang Out:
    • Ochako antagonizes Bakugo because he is still in U.A despite the bullying history on his record, to the point of breaking her own arms during Hero Course's training exercise, much to Izuku's disbelief.
Izuku: You really broke both your arms just to beat Kacchan?
Ochako: Of course. No one hurts my friend and gets away with it!
Izuku: *Blushes* I'm really not worth breaking your arms over.
Ochako: That's right. You're worth breaking two arms over.
    • Ochako admits that in her eyes, Izuku can be a hero without a Quirk, giving him a slow stream of Tears of Joy that someone finally vindicates his (not really) abandoned dream.
    • Izuku admits that, while it hurts that he did not get One For All or become a pro hero, he is glad that it is Ochako who receives it and that her kindness is genuine, unlike how his mom obliged to care for him or how All-Might has pity peppered in his kindness.

    • Kei and Yami help Eri plant another apple tree...even with the mixed result.
    • Izuku told Shiruku about Sansan's reason for hating wearing clothes. After she understands her error, the teen explained that "Just because you have power, doesn't mean you can use that power to make people do what you want", and what upsets him the most about this was not the damages on the mansion, but that his two stepdaughters were fighting each other.
      • Later that day, Sansan forgives Shiruku and apologizes for pushing her, because being angry is tiring, something the latter agrees on.

    • Eri tries to befriend Fukunoko by offering the scared girl candy apples. The latter loves it because she never eats candy before. When Eri explains that it is her favorite food, Fuku tries to give it back out of guilt, but she declines.
Eri: I've had a lot ever since I met Izuku. But that was your first. I think it's fairer if I give you two.
    • When Fukunoko keeps asking Eri why she's being so nice to a failure like her, the latter sees herself in the former, so she immediately hugs her, causing the two to Cathartic Crying.
    • After listening to Fukunoko's backstory, Eri explains how similar their lives were, and she's been happier ever since she was adopted by Izuku, that Midoriya mansion is a safe place and no one will judge her, and like Overhaul, Fuku's dad is a bad person she shouldn't listen to, including when he says that Fukunoko was a "bad daughter".
Fukunoko: Y-you really think Fuku isn't bad?
Eri: If you're bad, then that means I'm bad. And Izuku says I'm not bad, so you're not bad either.
    • Kei wants to hang out with Fukunoko, but the latter is still too scared to go outside, so she decides that they exchange knock-knock jokes back and forth instead.

  • Shorts 7:
    • Izuku provides a large building as Kai's room, complete with a soft floor, a theater screen-size TV, and a remote-controlled roof so he can fly out if Kai wants to, causing him to hop happily (that causes Izuku to stumble), considering this is way more accommodation than what he gets in D.O.C's Extranormal Prison.
    • Otoko embraces every new thing he feels from being free from D.O.C.'s Extra Normal Prison.
Warm sun, cool winds, nice people. Who could ask for more?

    • Otoko was upset that he is unable to learn how to swim today due to the Midoriyas don't have suitable floaties for his size, but then Sansan decided to wrap herself around him as his floaty, allowing him to swim for the first time.
It was cool, and nice to touch.
He felt like he couldn't accidentally set anyone on fire here.
...It was official. He quite liked the pool.

Ochako: Sorry, Fu. I know you can't feel this but I still feel really bad.
    • Kai has been polite throughout the fight, including pleasant banter with Ochako. He even politely asked to leave the combat when he is defeated.

  • Teachers Visit:
    • Nezu compliments Fu's (and indirectly, Izuku's) Quirk Analysis papers.
    • Kei and Eri are playing Battleship in front of Fukunoko's room while the latter plays on the other side of the vault door. Once again, the medusa Genki Girl finds a way to have fun with her siblings.
    • Noticing Kioku's discomfort with strangers, Nezu decided to give her a heart-to-heart talk using his own experience as a literal Lab Rat seeking vengeance against his scientists before realizing that not all humans are as cruel as them, with an Aesop that she needs to have an open mind.
      • The U.A. principal then uses Izuku as an example of the wisdom he tried to teach Kioku. Izuku Midoriya is someone society sees as "the bottom of the ladder", yet he manages to take care of and raised multiple children, proving that he is unique, just like everybody else, and so cannot be interacted with broad strokes and narrow mind, as she does with other people.

      • Fukunoko chooses to donate because D.O.C facility can be isolating, and isolation is horrible, something the two agree is a bad thing and nobody deserves to endure it.
      • Kei (after glomping Eri) chooses to donate because it's the right thing to do and something Izuku would do, but she's fine if Eri chooses not to.
      • Yami asked her to think of what would happen if she choose either Sadistic Choice, and conclude that abandoning the Level 2 OPC makes Eri feel more horrible, so she should donate her blood.
      • When Eri is still unsure, Fu press on that the idea that seeing other people hurt makes her feel worse than imagining herself hurts makes her a good person, because it makes her a selfless person, just like Izuku.
Fu: You're a good person Eri, [...] You want to help people so much that not helping people makes you feel worse than something you're afraid of. That means you're brave and selfless, just like Izuku.
        Eri: L-like Izuku?
Fu: *Nods* You want to be a doctor right? So those people are your first patients. I think you may be the youngest doctor ever.
        Eri: *Contemplates*
Fu: Izuku told me and Kiba that to be heroes and to save people, we have to overcome our fears, and you're doing that right now. So you're like...a hero doctor.
        Eri: A hero...doctor..
    • Eri asked Izuku if the D.O.C would use her blood to harm people, which he answers by swearing that he would never let it happen.
    • Izuku comforts Eri before the doctors put her to sleep, and his word of encouragement ends up helping her to overcome her trauma in her Battle in the Center of the Mind.
Izuku: It's ok, everything's going to be ok. I'm so proud of you, you're so brave. You're going to help so many people. [...] One day, you'll do this without any fear at all.
    • Eri awoke after her blood was drawn, surprised that, unlike with Overhaul, it didn't hurt her more than some soreness.
    • The other kids (sans Fukunoko) were waiting for Eri to wake up, and celebrating her bravery, with Yami musing himself a job well done, now that her positive emotions overwhelmed the negative ones
    • Regretting that she didn't come to wait for her with the other kids, Fukunoko sneaks into Eri's room to leave a plate of cookies, with a note saying that she apologizes for not being there for her and that she did care for her. Feeling Fuku's sincerity, Eri decided to come to her room to share the cookies with her.
Eri: The cookies are good...but foods are better when you eat with someone else.
Fukunoko: M-me?! You want to eat with me?!
      Eri: You're my friend.

     Bad Omen Arc

    • Yami wants to use his G.R.I.M.M.s to protect his new home so he can feel useful.

    • Netsu is an energetic ball of sunshine who didn't react negatively to Yonda's Deadpan Snarker. He even finds her Quirk cool.
    • Kyosei is excited to get a host that won't die immediately and Fu regains the ability to feel emotion through bonding with the tar blob.
Fu: It's weird...to feel feelings again. Even if they're not mine...I...I missed it.
    • Yonda is happy with her new life since Izuku and the other kids did not attempt to lie to her, and will dedicate her life to protecting them.

  • Shorts 9:
    • Kiba is ecstatic that Fu can now be together in her dream of becoming Pro Hero with Kyosei's help, helping the older boy strong enough to match her.
Kiba was having fun. Because she was actually trying.
Sure, she had harder fights, but the fact that fighting FU was exciting for once put a smile on her face.
At long last, he was more than a punching bag.
    • Most of Kiba's audience is pleasantly surprised by how caring Izuku is for a single parent of a rich family.
      "Pogdad"
      "Good parenting!"
"Not something you see a lot from rich parents!"
    • After lecturing Kiba and Netsu about going overboard with their sparring, Izuku compliments the restraint they did, telling them that even though they feel like the world is made of cardboard, the restrain they practiced will be valuable lessons for them to be Pro Heroes.
      • Izuku is the first person in Netsu's life that is willing to hug him.
Netsu: Is this what a hug feels like? [...] It's...nice.
    • Fu asked if Sansan counts as a boy based on what he & Izuku learned about the unique properties of her Basic form. After thinking about it, Izuku decided that the discovery did not change much about Sansan.
Izuku: Sansan is Sansan [...] She can be whatever she wants to be. If she says she's a girl, then she's a girl.
    • Fuku accidentally activates her Quirk in front of Fu, causing her to panic that it will endanger him, but he turns out to be immune to her Quirk, which makes her happy that she did not just hurt someone, and that she meets someone who can resist her Quirk for the first time in her life.

  • Shorts 10:
    • Yami wants to help Izuku prepare today's breakfast, so he wakes up early while sleepily riding a Beowulf.

    • Mu loves his new home.
This place was pretty amazing if you asked Mu.
After all, nothing here was ever boring.
    • After accidentally scaring Fukunoko and apologizing for it, Mu starts hanging out with her.

     VS 1-A Arc
  • Roaring Revenge:
    • Kai enjoys his role as rampaging Kaiju because, in the fake city, he can stop being careful all the time and go all out as much as he pleases.
    • Kai fighting Bakugo because he "bullied my dad Izuku".
    • Kirishima feels awful about Bakugo that, even though he's a bully, he had been avoided by the other students and glared at by the teachers.
    • Nezu initially offers to exclude Bakugo from participating in the exercise due to concerns about how would the kids treat their dad's former bully. But Izuku declines it, knowing how it feels to be abandoned and excluded from school's activity, and instead organized the exercise so Kai, the least angry and violent among the participating kids, will be the one facing him.
    • Everyone had a mixed reaction about Izuku being an OPC caretaker, before Kirishima leaps in first, saying how manly the green teen is to step up and become a parent for these orphans, much to his shock.

  • 2 V 4:
    • Ashido and Hagakure squeeing after realizing that Izuku is Kiba's dad.
      • While he was disappointed that the two girls are too recent of a fan to recognize Fu, he hopes nobody would get disgusted with the boy's Quirk.
Izuku: They've been really nice so far so hopefully, nothing goes wrong. *Crossing fingers*
    • Fu and Ochako have a light talk like old friends before they begin the training.
Fu: You haven't visited in a while.
Ochako: He-he, yeah I've been really busy. Aizawa-sensei gave us so much work!
    • Ochako feels surprisingly proud that Fu, the one kid who wants to be a Pro Hero yet has no combat Quirk, managed to find a way thanks to Kyosei.
She'd kind of felt bad for him before.
The boy was the only one in the group of kids that wanted to be heroes, that didn't have a super offensive quirk. Heck, technically speaking, his quirk wasn't good for defense either, since regeneration didn't defend you, rather it just kept you from dying.
The poor boy would get tossed around and dismembered and beheaded and even used as a weapon by Kiba a few times.
But with Kyosei, Fu was now a significant threat, and Ochaco felt kinda proud.
Even if he was kicking her ass.

  • Queen Of Eternal Darkness:
    • Hagakure and Ashido squee-ing over Kiba.
    • Ochako scold Izuku for still not hiring any employees.
    • Ochako immediately gets between Bakugo and Izuku when the former is threatening the latter.
    • When everyone is staring at Izuku after Bakugo reveals that he is Quirkless, IIda immediately defends the OPC caretaker and scolds his classmates.
"Enough! That detail was obviously something Midoriya was trying to hide, and something that clearly makes him uncomfortable! He is an honored guest at U.A. and we should desist from asking about such things for the time being!"
    • Ochako and Izuku smile endearingly at the fact that Kiba writing a speech for her role in the exercise, interacting like parents watching their daughter's recital.
Ochako: She wrote a script? *amused smile* What am I saying, of course she had a script.
Izuku: She worked on it for hours.

  • April Acid:

  • An Overdue Talk:
    • Despite giving him a "Reason You Suck" Speech, Aizawa is aware that Bakugo's issue is mostly the fault of nurture.
Aizawa: People are telling you things that are contrary to what you've grown up believing, and as such you're resisting. Which is why we're being so harsh. It's not because we necessarily hate you, it's because we need to get through your extremely thick skull that it's not ok for heroes to think that they can hurt innocent people.
    • The reason Izuku did not tell anyone about Bakugo's Suicide Dare is that he still has faith that the explosive boy can still be a great hero.
Izuku: I have no intention of EVER letting that [The fact that Bakugo had Suicide Dare him] out. But. I need to know you're improving. That you won't stay the same, violent, angry, seemingly psychopathic person you've shown me you can be. I've always wanted you to be a hero, but I can't afford to just roll over and let you do as you please and just hope you'll get better.
      * After the talk*
Izuku: Kacchan, I want to see you become a great hero. Not once during this talk did you lash out at me or attack me. You can improve. I know that.
    • Bakugo asked where Inko was in all of this OPC business. Izuku explains that she is now working overseas, something Bakugo actually feels relief about.
Well, at least she's doing fine. She deserves it for having to put up with Deku's worthless ass.

  • Red and Green:
    • Class 1-A and the kids eat lunch together at a picnic, getting to know each other.
    • Kiba develops Friendly Rivalry with Dark Shadow.
Kiba: Mark my words Shadow! You will kneel before me!
Dark Shadow: Ahaha! I look forward to seeing you try!
    • Ashido and Hagakure glomping Sansan while she is in her Basic form.
    • Kai asks Nezu if Bakugo is all right after he defeats him, which makes Ochako chuckle at how kind and caring the boy is.
Ochako: Kai you're too nice for your own good. *Patting his heads*
    • Ochako is faking a smile after hearing that Izuku is neglecting his health to focus on work and she promises to do something to address it. Fu thanked her for always being there for them, making her smile more genuine.
    • Kirishima elaborates that the reason he wanted to know about Bakugo was that he was alienated by the class and he feels horrible about it, but he had doubts about helping him. That makes Izuku rethink things.
Izuku:...I think...maybe...at some point, Kacchan may have become a bad person...but I don't think he has to stay that way.
      • He then gives Kirishima his blessings/permission to befriend Bakugo, but he warns him that Bakugo can be stubborn and could lash back if challenged, but Kirishima accepts the challenge. Izuku thanked him for it, because there's part of him that still sees Bakugo as his friend, and he preferred that the latter won't be lonely on his journey to be a better hero.
Izuku: If you're asking me, I think you should help him. Be friends with him. Help change him...but…doing that won't be easy. Kacchan is stubborn. And abrasive. He won't just LET you help him. You have to be determined to help him, and never give up. And you have to be able to take a few explosions too. Are you that determined to help someone, that a lot of people would say doesn't deserve it?
Kirishima: Hell yeah! If meeting you has taught me anything, just doing something or thinking some way about a person because of what everyone else says, is bullshit! And I'm gonna help make Bakugo a better person, whether he wants to be or not!
Izuku: Thank you. There's a part of me that still remembers back when we were friends. So it makes me very happy to know he won't be alone. I'm really glad we have people like you in the hero course.
    • Before leaving, Kirishima exclaims that he will cover Izuku if the latter needs a break. Izuku won't take it (for now), but Kirishima's offer is sincere.

    • Shiruku teases Kai that she has prepared a surprise for the hydra boy, making him glee in anticipation.
    • Kiba's surprisingly profound Insane Troll Logic defending Otoko's weird Quirk and looks.

    • It's a blink-and-you-missed-it moment, but Tokoyami gave Dark Shadow his own smartphone.
    • Kai reveals that he and Netsu get to fly around the forest surrounding the mansion.
    • Izuku insists that he does not have a favorite child.
"Well, I don't have a favorite child. I love all of them equally, regardless of how much trouble they can cause at times."
    • Kei admits to her siblings that while her past is awful, she did not let it hold her back from enjoying her new life as part of the Midoriya family.
"Things were bad, but...they're not bad anymore. I have a great family now with lots of brothers and sisters! And they're all really nice! *Smiles* So I don't really care about all that bad stuff anymore. Because now I'm happy and everything's going to be fine! Because you guys rock."
      • As soon as she tells her past, Kei is immediately hugged by Shiruku, who swore that she will be the best sister she could be for her sake, and Kiba & Netsu gives her their Declaration of Protection.
    • Kei sharing her past gives the other kids the courage to do the same.
    • Fu pleaded with Kiba to let him tell their backstory.
Fu: Please, grant me this honor, lady Kiba, Queen of Eternal darkness.
      Kiba: *Lessened her pouts* Fine.
    • Fu praises both Kiba and Izuku. The former for giving him reason to keep living, and the latter for giving the two of them a new home where they no longer have to steal or worry about their next meal, and a new family that does love them. Kiba is actually so overwhelmed by the praise she tries to hide from the camera.
    • Yonda feel touched by what the other kids thought of her after they learn about her past.

  • Fuku Steps Out:
    • Fukunoko learns, through the Q&A stream, that the other kids at Midoriya Foundation are not as terrifying as she thought.
    • Izuku encourages Fukunoko to try going out of her room and try to talk with the other children.
      • When Fukunoko tries to compare how brave Kei is compared to herself, he told her that it is unnecessary.
Izuku: Hey, what have I said about comparing yourself to others?
Fukunoko: T-That's it's unhealthy and unfair to myself.
      • Izuku tells Fukunoko how Eri used to be like her, much to her surprise, to show her how socializing can improve her life.
      • Inspired by his attire during Q&A Stream, Izuku asked Shiruku to make two hoodies for Fuku, so she can go outside while still avoiding direct contact with other people.
    • Eri and Kei accompany Fukunoko going out of her room, cheering her up as she tries to talk to the other kids throughout the day.
    • Shiruku was about to try not to look too intimidating for Fukunoko, but the latter keeps her nervousness down long enough for her to thank Shiruku for her hoodies, which she appreciates.
    • To help decrease Izuku's workload, Yami creates more Grimm varieties. while he did not understand why his stepfather is more fascinated with Seers over his bigger, stronger creations, Yami is still glad that he can help him.

  • New Hobbies:
    • Izuku introduces Netsu to the art of Fumage to help him train his Quirk. Even when his attempts go out in flames, Izuku did not get upset, telling him that nobody is an Instant Expert.
    • Kei takes Fukunoko to the backyard to try archery together.
      • Kei claimed that the other kids already try it and no one wants to go with her, while the truth is she hasn't. She wanted to be with Fuku and wanted to encourage her to come out of her room and try out new things more often.
      • Kei cheers Fukunoko to try to shoot an arrow and is very ecstatic when she hits the bulls-eye on the first try, giving Fuku a high-five.
      • When Fukunoko did not get Bulls-eye on the next few shots, Kei assured her that it's okay, and that some arrows are still hitting the target compared to her own attempts.
      • Seeing the archery activity from a Seer, Izuku decided to support Fukunoko's archery hobby to encourage her to go outside more often and Prepare some snacks to reward Kei for her initiative.
    • Under Izuku's suggestion, Kioku now focused her mind on happier memories she saw and remembers with her Quirk, and start painting it on canvas to immortalize it.
    • Kioku and Otoko is sharing a hobby of painting, focusing on the fun of making one instead of how good the resulting work is.

  • And Then There Were 10(x2):
    • Nara chooses to join Ken when D.O.C took him away, even though none of her transformations are dangerous enough to be considered OPC.
    • Kei accompany Izuku in welcoming the shapeshifter siblings, assuring them that they are welcome in the Foundation. Her energy may be overwhelming for the two, but they can see her intent.
    • Ken did not want to call Izuku "Dad" due to how close their age gap is, and he is okay with it.
Ken: You know, you're actually pretty cool...don't expect me to call you dad though.
Izuku: That's fine. A lot of people here think of me as a dad, but that's their choice. On paper I'm just your legal guardian, so you can consider me to be anything you want.

  • Shorts 11:
    • Nara bonded with Fu over Quirk analysis, with his observation of Nara's Quirk giving her a lot to think and try about.
    • ken and Netsu are bonding through video games.
    • Ken is surprised that when the couch accidentally got burned from Netsu's overexcitement, rather than grounding them like his parents do when he accidentally broke something, Izuku orders the Beringels to replace it with a new one and tells Ken that he will be rewarded with ice cream for his quick thinking of turning into Heatblast and uses the form's Elemental Absorption to extinguish the flame, giving Ken an even higher impression on Izuku.
Ken: You know, for someone who works with the Government that guy is pretty cool.
    • Seeing Heatblast's fire Elemental Absorption, Netsu asked Ken to use it on him, since he never knows what he looks like when he's not Wreathed in Flames. While he only manages to see it for a short time due to Ken's time limit, Netsu managed to see his real face beneath the flames and is very grateful to Ken for it.

  • Shorts 12:
    • Nara tries to cheer Ken up after his first defeat in Kiba's hand. Then, Izuku does the same by explaining how the siblings are the most versatile kids in the Foundation and Four Arms just happens to be a bad match-up against Kiba. When Nara said that is easier said than done, Izuku replied that it is the purpose of the foundation, a place for the children to practice and improve their Quirk. That brings Ken's optimism back and he immediately tries to challenge Kiba again, much to his sister's amused exasperation.
Nara: *Amused headshake* Can't keep that idiot down.
    • Ken, in Eye Guy form, is bonding with Kei over puns.
    • After hearing Nara's explanation of why she did not uses her Quirk to study better or faster, Izuku insists that she tries anyway, so she can use her Quirk better. He reiterates the Foundation's purpose and that since the Mansion is his private property, the Quirk restriction rules are up to him.
Izuku: I own this house. And I own the land around this house. So what I say, goes. And I say that you are free to use your quirks as you please. In fact, I say you should. The more you get used to your quirk, the more control you'll have over it. This means eventually you'll be able to reintegrate into society without the government worrying you'll set it on fire.

  • Fall:
    • Izuku insists on giving the kids the best life he could, instead of just giving them the essential necessities. This means buying them video games, sports equipment, and other things that are part of the kids' interests and hobbies, even if it means doing a lot of paperwork.
    • Kiba and Ken did not do their homework out of the belief that math is unnecessary for Pro Hero work. While he admits that "Schools teach you a lot of useless information that you'll never need to know", Izuku shows that he has trimmed the useless parts of public education and politely address their disinterest in boring school subjects.
      • For Kiba, he explains that by learning Physics and science, she can punch air bullets and borderline fly In a Single Bound.
      • For Ken, he decided to give him a Quiz in a form of a hostage scenario with Ken as Feedback, with 2 options between rushing in or stalling until more heroes arrive. and if Ken chooses right, Izuku will admit that he is wrong and Ken is right. When Ken failed, he politely lectures him and Kiba on how math could help Ken in solving this situation.
    • Izuku set up a suggestion box so the children can request what would they want.
      • Fully aware of Izuku being too busy taking care of himself, one of the kids wrote "Maid" on the suggestion box.

  • Panic:
    • When Fukunoko hears Kei asks her to let Eri and herself in, she noted that her tone is shockingly somber. This ramped up Fukunoko's paranoia until she focused on a single thought.
Stupid Fuku. Your friends are hurting. What else could possibly matter?
      • Eri and Kei are Fuku's closest friends who have always accompanied her, played with her, and cheered her up despite her overthinking and Self-Deprecation. So when she sees how distraught they are from Izuku being hospitalized, she doesn't hesitate to hug them and letting them sob on her.
Fuku liked Izuku. Heck, she even kind of looks up to him. So hearing that something like this had happened, was horrible.
But she knew that to Kei and Eri, he was their father, and she couldn't imagine how they must feel.
So she pushed her own feelings aside, she could worry and cry about Izuku later. Her precious friends needed her.
And so she grasped onto strength she never knew she had and carried on.
    • Fu comforts Kai down as he cries by climbing towards his middle head with Kyosei's help and gently hugging him on top of his middle head.
    • Fukunoko steps up to the meeting between Fu, Otoko, Ken, and Nara to volunteer for cooking for everyone for Eri and Kei's sake...and because if no one cooks, no one gets to eat.

  • Reactions:
    • When Inko is too stunned to reply to Fu, he asked if he needs to call her an ambulance too, causing her to immediately assure him that she is okay.
    • As soon as she closes her phone after talking with Fu, Inko announces to her staff that she will be taking days off to take care of Izuku. She has left her son for too long, and she will right this wrong.
    • Mandalay notes that ever since he befriends the kids at the Foundation, Kota becomes somewhat less sad & sour. He even claimed that he like it there.
    • The 1-A girls try to calm Ochako down after she learns that Izuku was hospitalized.
    • Eraserhead tries to cheer All-Might up after he blames himself for inspiring Izuku to be a Triple Shifter in in his own way.
"I mean yes [it is your fault], but what about it? [...] What, do you regret saving all those people? Don't start with the Self-Deprecation Yagi, he copied that from you too. This was mostly the fault of Midoriya himself, and the quirkist environment that destroyed his sense of self-worth."

  • Picking Them Up:
    • Izuku lives and will recover.
    • Yami blamed himself for not providing enough Grimms to ease Izuku's workload, but Fu assures that the fact they have these G.R.I.M.Ms he already made lessened their stepfather's workload enough that he merely falls unconscious instead of dropped dead, he just happens to prefer doing everything by himself.
    • Yami is concerned if he is a bad person because he just learns that his Quirk needs other people to suffer to work. Fu explains to him that no Quirk is inherently evil, just how one uses it determines if it's good or evil. So, if Yami uses the Grimms he created from people's suffering to save said people, then he is definitely good. Fu even bowing to him, thanking him for all the hard work he had done for the family.
Fu: If you use your Grimm to help people, then you're just taking something bad, and making something good out of it.
      Yami: Something...good...
Fu: Right. You've been a big help to everyone in the house. So, *Bowing* thank you for everything, little brother. And please continue to help us in the future.
      Yami: ...*Nodding frantically* Yes!
    • Not feeling satisfied with the heartfelt interaction between the two boys, Kyosei sprouts a tentacle to pull Yami toward Fu so they can hug it out as well.
    • Fukunoko's inner monologue as she is about to enter Kiba's room is full of compliments about the vampire girl, like how much she oozes confidence.
      • The reason Fukunoko delivers the good news by herself despite her anxiety? She just told it to most of the other kids, and she can't bring herself to ask them to come with her to Kiba's room since it means she cutting their Tears of Joy moment off.
    • Fukunoko endures Kiba's Bear Hug to let her crying on Fuku as she pats Kiba's back.

  • Call To Action:
    • Izuku first thought when he wakes up in the hospital is panicking about what happened to his children, and is really thankful that Wild Wild Pussycats did come by and take care of the mansion while he was hospitalized.
Izuku made a mental note to get them [WWP] a nice gift for their troubles.
    • Izuku and his mother are reunited after both of them were too busy on different sides of the world to call each other.
    • Led by Nezu, Izuku's mother and friends try their best to explain to him that it's okay to reign in his Triple Shifter tendencies, asking for help and relying on it.
      • When Izuku's head is filled with flashbacks of his old bullies calling him "useless" from hearing their pleas, Nezu snaps him out of it and assures him that while he has the right to not trust people from his experience, he needs employees to run the Foundation.
Nedzu: Mr. Midoriya. We understand why you did what you did. People treated you harshly for most of your life. So then in turn to ask you to trust them with your children, who have also been treated poorly by the people around them...is asking quite a lot. It's scary. But it's necessary.
      • All-Might impart the wisdom he learned from their first interaction and its fallout: everyone makes mistakes, but what matter is what one does to make up/atone for it.
"Young Midoriya, it's not that you failed. You simply made a mistake, which is fine. Everyone makes mistakes. What's important is that we learn from them, not wallow in them."
      • Even Namae assure him that he had physically done far more than what was expected from him as an OPC caretaker.
    • Nedzu offers, with Izuku's permission, to send class 1-A as extra hands to run the foundation until he is fully recovered. Izuku wanted to decline but realizes that this mentality is what caused him to be in the hospital in the first place.
Izuku didn't feel right about this...but maybe that was part of his problem?
    • Ochako is about to scold Todoroki for his dismissal of the Foundation's children's plight before Aizawa steps in, stating that class 1-A was chosen because Izuku's circle of trust is very small, but it includes Ochako, so she can persuade him to let her classmates help him. And because Aizawa wanted to remind his students that the true duty of heroes is to protect and save people.
Aizawa: It might do you all some good to be reminded of why your jobs are important. Who you're working to protect, and why. Because it's incredibly easy for pros to lose track of that.
    • Hagakure has arachnophobia, but she is willing to endure it for Shiruku's sake.
    • Ashidois enthusiastic to give the OPCs lots of love and care.
Aizawa explains Yami is basically low maintenance compared to the other kids
Ashido: Lots of hugs! Got it!

Aizawa explains that Mu is such a Shrinking Violet that he is barely seen by other people
Ashido: Ohhhh, Is that a challenge! I'm gonna friend the hell out of that kid!

  • The Return:
    • As soon as Kioku sees Izuku at the front door, she immediately glomping him and crying on his chest.
    • Even though Fu's face is still as expressionless as always, there is a tinge of joy in his eyes as Izuku returns home.
    • While he was upset that his collapse is the Godzilla Threshold that forces Fukunoko to start doing activities outside her room and helping out with cooking, he's proud that she is taking a huge step facing her fears of the outside and other people and helping out with chores for the sakes of the other kids.
"I'll have to give her (Fukunoko) a really special reward."
    • Mandalay wants to ask if it's okay if she leaves Kota at Izuku's care as Wild Wild Pussycats is going on vacation since the teen is still recovering, but he assures her that he's okay with it.
Mandalay: I'm sorry if that's too much-
Izuku: No, no it's fine. I mean, I already have so many kids. What's one more?
    • While a bit rusty, Inko knows sign language, which helps her interact with Otoko.
Otoko: *sign language* Nice to meet you, grandma.
Inko: *sign language* I'm very happy to meet you too dear. It's been quite a while since I've used sign language so please let me know if I say anything wrong.
Otoko: *sign language* No, it's perfect.
    • As soon as Fu realizes that Kai's celebration would alert the other kids, Fu immediately orders Ken and Nara to protect Izuku from the incoming "stampede" because Izuku needs to rest.
    • After Fu warned the rest of the kids to be gentle and careful around Izuku, they all slowly surround him and hug him as Sansan hugs them all in a Group Hug.
    • Inko notices Kai is sobbing outside, being too big to come into Izuku's room to join the above, so she opens the window and gently pets the hydra boy's head, soothing him.
    • Being too shy to come out, both Fukunoko and Mu wrote a signed folded card for Izuku. Fuku writes that he can rely on her for help as long as he won't be too angry with her if she messes up, and Mu goes "what she said" and secretly drops it on Izuku's lap.
    • Seeing how the kids crying out in relief for his return really hammered down how much his Heroic RRoD affects them, and he swore not to let that happen again.
Izuku: I really caused everyone so much trouble.
Inko: You made a mistake honey. *Caressing Izuku's head* It's time to fix it.
      Izuku: Yeah…Time to fix it.

     The Cavalry

     Shorts 13
  • Ochako's father consoles her after she's venting about how Izuku's self-sacrificing nature frustrates her, giving her advice on how to keep reminding him to take care of himself.
Mr. Uraraka: Listen Ochaco, Midoriya has what they called a Bleeding Heart. It pours and pours for everyone else, but eventually, he'll be left with nothing for himself. [...] He needs people to teach him how to care for himself, dear. [...] I'm not saying monitor his every move, I'm just saying you should pop by every now and again. He's not the kinda guy to ask for help so you may have to force it down his throat a bit. Just remind him that he better look after himself otherwise you'll kick down his door and whoop his ass.
  • Ochako cheers Eri up after she manages to use her Quirk three times in a row before her energy runs out.
  • Izuku, while too tired to convey his expression, forces himself to over-exaggerate his surprise over Eri's progress with her Quirk training to ensure that her effort is vindicated.
  • Eri is clearly tired, but she insists that she can keep training. Izuku promises to let her if she can stay awake for two minutes.
    Eri: D-Deal!
Izuku: You really think you can do it? Even if I hold you real close? *Puts Eri next to him in bed, resting her head on his chest*
Eri: *Struggling to keep her eyes open* N-Not fair.
Izuku: What about if I pet your head like this? *Gently strokes her head*
    Eri: *Fell asleep*
  • Izuku swears to Ochako that he learned his lesson and promises to not overwork again.
Izuku: I'll try my best...for her [Eri]. For all of them.

     Sinking Into Darkness
  • While it is wrapped in a self-guilt, Kiba lock herself in her room so Izuku wont be overworked with her antics.
  • While Izuku cannot convince her for now, he means it when he said that Kiba means the whole world to him.
Izuku: I want you to know, you were never a burden to me, and I never thought for a moment that my life would be better without you. I can say safely, that if I never met all of you...my life would be so much darker.
  • Fukunoko walks up to the "Turn Kiba back to Normal Squad" to help them, because she didn't want Kiba to go through what she does.
Fukunoko: I...I don't like this new Kiba. She reminds me too much of me! And I hate it! We need to get the old Kiba back immediately!

     Seeing The Light
  • Fukunoko admits to Kiba how much she admires her and how she wanted to live a life as she does.
Fukunoko: Y-You were always so brash and unafraid! Always doing new things and trying new things! And even willing to get hurt and just brush it off! It was...it felt like...like I was living through you. You always seemed so alive that it felt like I was living this amazing exciting life right alongside you.
  • Fu upload a video on Kiba's channel, explaining her hiatus and begging her fans to show her how much she means to them. The next video, "Appreciation for Kiba", is a compilation of people's comments from the previous video, about how the joy of parenthood is to see their children happy, how true parents would accept their children, flaws and all, and how Kiba brightens their day with her content and even inspires them to live their life to the fullest or to brave new experiences in life.
"Kiba, as a father of five myself, I can say for certain that it was not your fault alone. The work that goes into raising children is a lot for any parent, let alone one raising that many children. And as a father myself, I can say for certain that it was worth it. Despite any difficulties he may have had with your wildness, I'm 100% sure that he was overjoyed at watching you having fun and living your life to the fullest. And as someone who just wants to watch children having fun and smiling while my own kids are leaving the nest, I beg you, please don't stop living your life."

"I don't think there is anyone else on this platform that makes videos anywhere near as lively as yours are. I'm going through a rough spot in my life right now, and having something cute and lively to comfort me is really helping me get through it. Thank you for everything you've done for me, and please don't stop being cute lady Kiba."

"These videos actually encouraged me to adopt a kid. Her name is Saiyo, and she's five, coming up on six. And that was easily the best decision of my life. She's the light of my life now, and while it may seem a bit presumptuous, I think I'm pretty important in her life too. She loves your videos, and watching them together has become a part of our weekly routine. Thank you for everything you've done for us. And please don't stop smiling."

"My quirk gives my hands claws. I caused a LOT of problems for my parents as a kid. I get ripping up the furniture and accidentally scratching them. One time I tried wrapping up my hands. When I showed my parents, they looked horrified, and immediately scolded me. They said that they'd take all the pain in the world if it meant making sure I was happy, and that the scars they carried were proof of their love for me. I don't know Caretaker as a person all that well, but I do know that he does love you all. And no good parent would be happy if their child isn't."
  • Even after a lot of evidence, Kiba is still worried that she will keep making a mess with her Quirk, but Fukunoko told her she knows what she experiences right now, how there are these lingering negative thoughts that keep filling her with bad advice, and that she shouldn't listen to it.
Fukunoko: I-I know...it might be hard to believe that. Because...there's this little voice in your head that's scared and keeps giving you bad advice! But you need to ignore it. Because if you listen to that voice, you will be miserable, and unhappy for the rest of your life. [...] I know how hard it can be, but...I also know...that it's so worth it, for everyone's sake.
  • When Kiba slowly sobs loudly after the above, Fukunoko was initially worried that her words only makes it worse before Kiba Bear Hug her, thanking Fukunoko while also noting how hard it must be for her to lead such a convoluted plan to tempt Kiba to go outside.
Fukunoko: Not...as hard as you'd think. I'm normally so worried about what's going to happen to me...but this time...I was too worried about you to think about it.
Kiba: What a wonderful sister you are...I am...truly blessed.
  • Izuku was unable to sleep, worried over Kiba, only for her to barge into his room and cries on him about how her day sucks and her attempt to live her life in her room was All for Nothing. Izuku consoles her that she is being considerate to others, just merely overreacting in her attempt to address it.
Izuku: Aren't you going to call me "caretaker" again?
Kiba: *Mutters* I'll do it tomorrow. I'm tired.
  • Kiba, fully return to her Large Ham, Chuunibyou self, making a video thanking everyone for their efforts to cheer her up and helping her realizes that she is not a burden to anyone.

     Gacha
  • Mineta willingly endures the boring paperwork because he knows he could be a bad influence on the kids.
AO3 Comment: Well to his credit at least he's aware that he shouldn't be responsible for children so kudos there, Mineta
Self-awareness is the first step to being a better person.
  • Izuku creates playtime & allowance limit to prevent the kids from thinking that they can spare a lot of money for Gacha Games.
Izuku: I don't want you going into the real world, and thinking you can spend your entire paycheck on things like this (Gacha). You'll have to learn how to balance how much you can spend on games, and how much you'll have to spend on other, more important things.
  • Now that she learns how much Fukunoko hates being a Hikkikomori, Kiba is trying her best to lure Fuku out and make her get used to the outside and being with a lot of people.

     Shorts 14
  • Sato offers to help Fukunoko in cooking so she can make pastries and desserts to impress everyone at the tea party.
  • While Fukunoko tries to redirect the tea party attender's compliments of the food she made to Sato, Kiba insists on complimenting Fuku, leading then to mass-head patting her, something she secretly likes.
  • Sato immediately agrees to teach Fukunoko how to cook when she's trying to retract her request out of nervousness.
  • Fukunoko asked Sato why is he being nice to her since he was not an OPCs nor lived in the mansion. He answers that he sees people started as normal "apples" and can become either "candy apples" (good people) or "rotten apples" (bad people), and he strives to be a "candy apple".
    • When Fuku asks if that's why he is willing to help a "rotten apple" like her, Sato declares that she is not rotten. While her Quirk indeed scares him, he asks if she chose the Quirk when she was born or if she is willing to use it on the innocents. She answers both of the questions with a "no", therefore she is not a "rotten apple" to him.
Sato: Some people get unlucky, like you did, with their quirks. They go through hardships as you did, but they think that that is an excuse to hurt people. That because they were hurt, it gives them the right to hurt others. And that's how regular apples turn rotten. But you didn't make that decision, you never meant to hurt anyone, and that's what makes you sweet!
  • Even though she was thoroughly beaten by Tokoyami & Dark Shadow, Kiba's fans are still cheering her on.
Even when losing, Lady Kiba looked elegant!
Don't worry my queen! Just wait until your body grows larger!

     Fashion Show
  • Kiba, Shiruku, and Nara judged the participating contests' hero costumes fairly and honestly. They even point out the negative parts of it as gently as possible.
    • The stream's audience also shares the judges' positive attitude, complimenting and cheering the participants (even if some of them are loaded with innuendos).
  • Kirishima and Ashido high-fiving after he gets an equally high score as her.
  • Shiruku and the audience sympathize with Shoji who states that he picks soothing colors for his costume because of his mutation Quirk.
  • Those who did not win are being Graceful Losers, especially Sato, who got the lowest score.
Ashido: *Jokingly* Really bringing down the curve huh, Sato.
Sato: Hey, I'm a hero student, not a fashion student.
  • The A/N stated that Kaminari talked Mineta out of participating to prevent people from mocking his costume online.

     Shorts 15
  • Ashido creates an impromptu Pokémon club to hang out with the kids and some of her classmates.
  • Fukunoko is taking steps in getting out of her Hikkikomori shell by attending the club through video call.
  • Hagakure assures the embarrassed Fukunoko that there is nothing wrong in liking Appletun and that she doesn't have to compare her favorite Pokemon to the other people's.
  • Kaminari and Netsu are bonding over being teased by Ashido as "basic" fans in Pokemon for liking Pikachu & Charizard and also prefer Electric & Fire types respectively.
  • Iida compliments Kiba and Nara (when using XLR8 form) for being impressive speedsters, and teaches them that pace is as important as speed is in a race.

     Regret
  • Tsuma's first interaction with Hai, her now late husband. After bandaging her broken leg and calling the ambulance, Hai stays with her and talks to her. While initially annoyed with his Motor Mouth, she was slowly grateful for his care, to the point of following him to medical school, effectively stepping out of her father pressuring her to be the heir of his Yakuza clan.
  • Tsuma did not sneak into the Midoriya Foundation to get Eri back. She just wants some closure, to see if Eri is happy in the Foundation. Izuku answers Tsuma's curiosity by giving her his phone and showing her a file of photos of Eri having the time of her life in the Foundation with Izuku and her stepsiblings.
  • While he was angry at Tsuma, Izuku decided to give her a chance to atone.
"This won't undo the damage done to Eri's mind. Crying and apologizing won't fix anything. If you're really sorry, then you'll have to do something to try and work towards making her life better."
  • Tsuma asked Izuku if Eri would ever learn about their deal. Izuku promises that, when she's old enough, he will tell her, and if she decides to mend the burned bridge, he will let them, as long as Tsuma won't do anything that'll make him step in and intervene.
  • Tsuma is grateful to Izuku and thanks him for being willing to give her a chance, and for being a great parent to Eri in her stead.
Tsuma: Thank you. Thank you so much for...everything. Not just taking care of Eri but...you've been kinder to me than I deserve. I owe you more than I could ever repay.
Izuku: I'm just doing what I think is right. And honestly, I can't bring myself to kick someone who's already down. Even someone like you.
Tsuma: *Stands up* I'm glad that Eri ended up in the care of someone so kind...I know you raise her better than I ever could.

     Understanding Suffering
  • Izuku talking to Yami about Tsuma and suffering in general
    • After Izuku tells him about how Eri ended up in her grandfather's care, Yami wonders what would happen if Eri or any other Foundation children ended up accidentally killing Izuku.
Honestly, Yami doesn't think he could feel anything but sorrow for whoever was unfortunate enough to do that.
    • Izuku managed to explain to Yami that parents can be as flawed as any other people (including himself) and he believes that a person shouldn't be judged when they are at their worst.
    • Izuku also explains that he believes that suffering makes more suffering, so while he didn't like Tsuma for what she has done, he can't bring himself to leave her still a sobbing mess.
"Will her suffering fix what happened to Eri? Or make Eri feel better? No. That's why I treated her the way I did. Because even though I don't like her, I can't bring myself to let someone wallow in their own pain."
    • Yami hugs Izuku after the conversation, believing that the latter needs it, which he accepts.
  • Later that night, Yami started to care about the sufferings he feels in the city after recalling his conversation with Izuku earlier.

     Exploring Pain
  • As he is about to save Amai from being mugged, Yami sees that the disheveled culprit is doing it out of starvation. So Yami chooses to take a more peaceful route and give the mugger some money to buy food.
  • Amai is heading to the slums in the first place to share her "good mood" candy to make people there feel better. When she feels discouraged from continuing after the cutpurse attempt, Yami volunteers to come with her to protect her.
  • While Amai's candy helps, Yami notices that some of the people they meet don't even need the candy to feel better.
Sometimes all [Amai & Yami] would have to do is approach them and tell them of their intentions, and they would smile and feel better. Not all better, but noticeably better.
  • While Izuku is still panicking that Yami had left the mansion all by himself, he is proud that the boy ended up helping people with his Quirk, without fighting anyone, when he sees the news.

     Finding Hope
  • Yami tells Amai more about his Quirk.
  • Yami and Amai respectively intimidate and talk a bully out of bullying his victim. The two then follow the bully back to his house after Yami notices that the bully's fear spiked when Amai mentions his home. Luckily, when they are about to find out why the bully is scared of going home, Kyoka finds them, overhears the bully's family with her Quirk, and calls the police to arrest the bully's father who turned out to be abusive.
  • After arriving at her home, Amai thanks Yami for joining her in helping people together and gives him her phone number.
  • Izuku and Yami talk after the boy comes home.
    • After hearing Yami's explanation as to why he went to the city all by himself, Izuku calmed down, told Yami that he should just tell him and go with a guide next time, and lightly grounded him (no dessert after dinner and not to go to the city for three days).
    • After Izuku explains why the bully hurts other kids despite being a victim himself, Yami asks if he will be all right. Izuku assures him, that now that his abusive father is arrested, the bully has a chance to become a better person.
    • Izuku asked Yami if he managed to find the answer he sought through his exploration in the city.
Yami: ...I learned...what I want to do. I want to help people, who are suffering. I want to be a hero and a therapist. To make people happy.
Izuku: *Smiles* Well then, as your father...I will do everything in my power to support you.
Yami: I know. Thank you...I love you, dad.
  • Before heading to sleep, Yami decided to give Eri a visit and immediately hugged her.
Yami: You're a good child. And we all love you.
Eri: Ehhhhh!? *Luminescent Blush* T-thank you!?
    • Why did Yami do that? To Observe Eri's current emotions. After overhearing her Dark and Troubled Past from Izuku and Tsuma's meeting, Yami believes that she should've had a tall pillar of negative emotions similar to those he saw in the city, but thanks to Izuku, she and other OPCs like her isn't. And that reaffirms Yami that his goal in life now is to follow in Izuku's footsteps, saving people and bringing joy to others.
Yami took a good look at Eri. She had been through so much and had likely been like one of those people with the negativity geysers out there.
And now here she was. Happy (if quite embarrassed).
The same could be said for almost all children in this house. They could have very well ended up like the people out there.
His father had done so much and would continue to do so much for even more children.
And soon, it would be his turn to make people happy.

     Here Comes A New Challenger
  • After realizing that Nise is trying to kill Izuku because she craves her parents' love and affections, Fu offers her a chance to Heel–Face Turn and be adopted by the Midoriyas, because Izuku has a lot of love and affection to spare.
    Fu: You don't have to.
    Nise: Huh? What?
Fu: You don't have to go back to them. It seems like you're one of us. The ones who go unlucky at birth. Most of our parents didn't love us either.
Nise: My parents love me! As long as I do what I'm told, and kill who they tell me to, they'll love me!
Fu: Parents whose love you have to earn, aren't real parents. My father loves me, and every single one of my siblings, just for being us. Even when we mess up, and make him mad, or upset by doing something bad, he doesn't stop loving us, or whatever it is that your parents do to you that's making you react like that. And he'd never make us do something like taking lives!
    [...]
Fu: Do you really want to live like that!? A slave to your parents!? Working for love that they'll stop giving you if you mess up once!? Is that really what you want to do with the rest of your life!?
  • After hearing how often Izuku gets stressed out from Yami, Amai has been regularly giving Calm Candies made from her Quirk to Izuku.
  • Izuku is frustrated that Fu went facing an assassin by himself, even though there are G.R.I.M.M.s in the area. When Fu admits that he was too focused on the fight, Izuku points out that it seems out of character for Fu to be so.
Fu: It is. Normally that wouldn't happen. But She was too strong. I needed to pay full attention to her. Otherwise, I would have died. But..there was also something else. I wanted to find out more about her...because some things didn't make sense about her. She didn't know about my regeneration's limits, so to her, I must have seemed unkillable. She was smart, and trained too, so she should have known when to give up and retreated at some point...but she never did. She was desperate and afraid of something. And I wanted to find out what it was.
Izuku: I see...so on top of saving us...you wanted to save her as well.
    * Izuku walks toward Fu and hugs him and Kyosei*
Izuku: I'm so proud of both of you. You and Kyosei.
  • After realizing that, by endangering himself, he also endangering Kyosei, Fu apologizes to both Kyosei (who immediately forgives him out of innocence) and Izuku, and asks to be properly punished for that. Even so, Izuku immediately assures Fu that he won't be grounded, feeling like having a Near-Death Experience should count as one, and instead, Fu will get a feast to replenish his Quirk.

     Aegis
  • Shiruku and Yami work together to create Aegis Robe to protect Izuku from future assailants.
  • When Izuku explains that he needs to attend the press conference to convince the public that he is the right man for the job, the 1-A students support him, even the few who were initially skeptical of him.
  • Ochako was initially concerned that Izuku would get overworked again with the conference, but he assured her that he would be fine. She then elaborates on why it matters to her.
Izuku: Ochaco. Don't feel too bad for me. I'm rich, I live in what is pretty much a mansion surrounded by miles of land that I own, I have great friends one of whom is my childhood hero, and I have tons of kids who all adore me almost as much as I adore them. My life is great, and if I have to deal with a mountain of work just to sustain it, then that's well worth it.
Ochako: I just...don't like seeing you in pain or exhausted. I always loved seeing the effect heroes had on people. Seeing all those smiling faces in the crowd. It was amazing. But I always wondered who made the heroes smile? Who picks them up out of despair? I mean...it wasn't really my main goal, I mostly wanted to become a hero because of my parents but...I'd still like to be the one that makes even the heroes smile. And as far as those kids and I are concerned, you ARE a hero. And we all just want to see you smile.
    • Ochako's sentiment touched Izuku so much, that he did the boldest thing he had ever done—hugging Ochako tightly as he thanked her.
Izuku: Just seeing you trying, for my sake, makes me smile on the inside. *Letting go of the hug* One day, I'll have everything figured out, and I won't be overworked, or be unused to anything, or have someone trying to kill me. And when that day comes, and I can just sit back and raise my kids, and watch them grow...then I'll be all smiles. But that future won't come if I don't build it. So I'll endure all those hardships, for the sake of that brighter future. I...don't know how hard things are gonna get, and you have your own path to go down, so I understand if one day you don't support me as much as you do now. But I...I… *Deep breath, then bow to Ochako* Thank you, for all your support, Ochaco Uraraka.
    • Ochako cant help but laugh at Izuku's very serious thank you before flicking his forehead.
Ochako: You dummy. *Smiles* Don't say things like that, as if you haven't done just as much, if not more for me. You helped me develop Full Cowling, you told me some things All Might should have told me a while ago, and of course, giving my parents work! Yeah, I have my own path I have to go down, but I intend to walk that path right alongside yours. We'll walk side by side, helping each other along our paths! Building out futures together! Because that's what best friends do!
Izuku: I-y-you…*Sigh, then smiles as he blushes* You really are the best friend I could have ever asked for.
      Ochako: Same to you.
  • At the start of the press conference, Oshiri Boshi, D.O.C's Acting Director, formally apologizes for his organization's incompetence to the OPCs that are still unaccounted for, and openly praises Izuku for saving D.O.C by becoming OPC Caretaker.

     Grimm Thoughts
  • Yami invites Amai to the house for the Grimm creation meeting and quickly befriends most of the other kids.
    • She recently became Kiba's fan and is surprised that she's Yami's sibling, even challenging her in video games, which the girl accepts.
  • Mu, wanting to join but still not used to crowds, leaves a note on the table for his Grimm idea, for which Kei thanks him.
  • While Ravager has Super-Scream, Shiruku did not demonstrate it for Kyoka's sake
  • Kiba introduces The Hound by crediting Amai alongside Fu and Yami.
Amai: Awww, I didn't do much.
Yami: Not true. You gave us the idea. You helped. You did good. *Patting her back*

     Security Plan
  • While Izuku is proud of the children's creativity, he warns them that Grimms should only catch and incapacitate trespassers, and most of their creations is too powerful for that. Even so, rather than scrapping their ideas, Izuku, with the help of the 1-A students, he created tiers of security system so the Grimms are used depending on the threat level.
  • When Izuku tells them that there is still no clue about who was responsible for his assassination attempts, Ochako suggests using some Telepathy Quirk, but Iida is against it.
Iida: That would be a violation of human rights! You can't read someone's mind or memories unless you have probable cause to believe it has already been altered! And you don't need to have your memories altered to be a quirk supremacist, just a lack of human decency.
Izuku: Don't worry Ochaco. We WILL get through this. I promise you. I'm not going to get killed by bigots.
    Ochako: I know you won't. I won't let them.

     B Team Out!
  • Monoma assures his classmates that being beaten by Yami's Grimms is not an Epic Fail.
"Now everyone, don't despair! Our defeat to this child is not the embarrassment you may think! It's not as if we engaged a child in 1 vs 20 combat, he sent an entire army our way! We fought hoards of terrifying beasts before we fell! Don't forget that!"
  • Izuku gave each of the class 1-B students a hefty sum of money in a check as compensation for facing his security system without being fully informed by Nezu and a reward for giving him suggestions on where it could be improved.
Kendo: Are you sure this is ok? This is a lot of money.
Izuku: It's fine, this won't even make a dent in my wallet, and it's the least I can do after you helped test my security system.

     Interview
  • Izuku chooses to omit to mention that the pro hero who turns down his dream to become a hero despite being Quirkless was All Might, understanding that he did so out of concern for his safety, and how it can create unnecessary controversies against the No.1 Hero.
  • Izuku admitted that he enjoys being an OPC caretaker, even if he's In It for Life.
"No matter what downsides this job has, it's offset by seeing how happy those kids are. Nothing can beat that."
  • Fully aware that not all kids may want to stay with the Foundation, Izuku set up a system that allows them to be adopted out, even though the conditions are very strict to prevent child mistreatment and filter out people who are not competent enough to raise them.
  • When discussing the Midoriya Foundation's income, Izuku explains that he allows the kids who can generate their income, like Kiba with her streams, can keep the money themselves.
    • When the interviewer argues that Izuku could have a cut from Kiba's revenue because he provides her with a roof, food, and necessary equipment for her streams, he argues back that compared to the likes of Shiruku who merely produces spider silk, Kiba works for her money.
  • Izuku insists that he loves his kids equally.
Izuku: Are there any final questions?
Interviewer: Do you have a favorite child?
    Izuku: *Laughs* Absolutely not.

     Nyat What You Think
  • Despite the panic Sori causes, Izuku decides to hire her anyway as a full-time bodyguard.

     Why
  • Izuku gently assures Kioku, and later Ochako, that hiring Sori, despite her bad first impression, is the right step to keep him and the other kids safe.
  • One of the things that prevent Izuku from offering himself to Sori if he means the kids won't be harmed is that Ochako and the rest of 1-A would stop him as soon as they found out.
    • Another reason is that he has faith that Sansan can stop Sori by herself.
  • Izuku told Kioku that, while going outside the mansion might do some good to her, he won't force her if she doesn't want to. While he did tempt her with 15K yen and a desert of her choosing, Izuku still thanks Kioku for at least giving it a try.
    • As tempting as the offer is, Kioku mostly agrees to go out with Yami and Yonda because she knows that it will make Izuku happy.
  • Yami agrees to help Yonda monitor Kioku's emotions as the three kids go out because Yonda convinces him that it will help them understand what is going on with Kioku that causes her to be so negative, and Yami needs that information so he can make Kioku more cheerful, to return the favor of her making him smart enough to adapt and appreciate his new life with the Midoriyas.

     Frustration
  • Ashido promises Izuku to keep the children safe as she joins them as one of the chaperones.
  • Izuku hugs Kioku who is still hesitant about going out and assures her that she will be all right.
Izuku: Hey, don't be scared. It's only for a few hours. At the end of the day, you'll be coming right back home. To your family.
  • Toshinori shares his experience living in America with the kids.
  • Toshinori offers to pay for the brunch, even when the kids end up ordering a lot of food.
  • Amai is initially nervous about ordering a Gold Dust Strawberry Pancakes, feeling like getting one would be too much of a dent in Toshinori's wallet before he convinces her to give it a try.
  • Ashido, notices that a boy's cry causes Kioku to shut down, calmly breaks her out of it by reminding her that her food is getting cold, and talks to her to distract the girl from it.

     Bad Luck
  • Amai and Ashido bonding over competing against each other in DanceDanceRevolution.
  • While Kioku only won a stuffed horse (compared to Amai and Ashido who won a lot), she finds it satisfactory.

     Why Me?
  • Even as her heart breaks hearing Kioku's breakdown, Ashido keeps herself calm and steady as she consoles her, to ensure that the little girl has a rock to keep herself steady as she cries her heart out.
  • The moment she hears Izuku calling for her as she finishes crying, Kioku leaps into Izuku's embrace.
  • Izuku consoles Kioku as she's getting ready to sleep, reaffirms her belief that he loves her, and tells her that just because she cannot move on from her past now doesn't mean that she's weaker than the other kids who do, like Eri and Kei, nor that she will never be.
Izuku: It's not fair to compare yourself to them. That'd be like me comparing my strength to All Might's. You're not weak, you're just normal. And that's ok. It's ok to not be able to let things go right away, it's ok to be upset that bad things happened to you. It's ok to be hurt. And I'm sorry if I haven't exactly been leading by example. And I haven't provided you with all the help you needed. And I'm so so sorry that you had to suffer because of it.
Kioku: It's not your fault daddy, you've been busy!
Izuku: No Kioku. My job, first and foremost, is to make sure you're ok. I should have gotten you all therapists. *Shaking head* It's my responsibility as a parent, to make sure you don't have to suffer like this. And I promise you. You will get help. You're going to grow, and I will help you make sure your past doesn't hurt you anymore.
Kioku: *Hugging him tightly* I love you, daddy. Thank you for loving me.
Izuku: No need to thank me. You made that easy.
  • Izuku thanked Ashido for consoling Kioku by doubling her pay.
Ashido: Doubling!? Uh, I…is that really ok?
Izuku: It's fine. I told you, it's not up for discussion. You're getting paid double, for going plus ultra when it counted.
Ashido: *fake exasperated sigh* Geeze. My boss is so unreasonable. Well, I guess I have no choice.
    • Ashido then asks if she can do part-time work at Midoriya Foundation after the class 1-A assignments are over, which Izuku readily accepts.
Ashido: These kids deserve to be happy, and loved, and get lots of hugs! And since you can only give so many hugs at once, I want to be there to give them even more hugs!
Izuku: I see. *Relieved smile* Thank you. For caring so much about them. We can talk about the terms of your employment later, but you definitely have the job if you want it.

     Reach for the Stars
  • Even though Eri finds it awkward, a lot of people sympathize with her after Izuku tells a bit of her past in the interview.
  • Yami apologizes to Kioku for what he had done to her with Yonda, and she accepts it, knowing that he did what he had done because he wanted to help her.
  • Kioku immediately hugs Eri as she approaches her.
  • Eri & Yami suggest Kioku try to be Izuku's assistant as her new aspiration, which she immediately took a liking to, to Yami's relief.
She turned to Yami, and gave him a thumbs-up, before running out of the room.
Yami smiled a bit. It wasn't the same thank you Eri had gotten, but it was enough to let him know that he helped.
And that was all he really needed. In fact, he didn't even really need that.
Yami's reward was watching the negativity in a person disperse, and positivity overtake it.
Because being kind, was its own reward.
  • Casey Bates, a.k.a. Star and Stripes, THE No.1 Pro-Hero in America, has a big faith in Izuku because All Might vouch for him.
  • The Bates defy My Country, Right or Wrong when the safety of Alice, Chole's Daughter, is at stake.
  • Izuku hires Chole as his secretary with barely a proper interview because what matters is to save her and Alice from the American government.
Chole: Just like that? No interviews, screenings, or anything?
Izuku: Even if you couldn't perform well as a secretary, which I doubt considering your history, I'd be able to find something for you to do. But really, the number 1 heroes of both Japan and America, have asked to aid someone in desperate need of help. I'd never be able to live with myself if I turned you away.
  • When Chole tries to invoke If I Do Not Return by asking them to take care of Alice if anything happens to her, Casey & Izuku defy it, both swear to Chole that both she & Alice will arrive in Japan safe and sound.
Izuku: You're going to get here safe, and you and Alice will be able to live in peace…relative peace.
Casey: That's right! As your older sister, I refuse to let you think such stupid things!
  • Kioku tells him her intention of becoming Izuku's assistant, and not only he's proud of it, but he also guides her by telling her that slow and steady is better than rushing things off.

I am the Bone of My Sword
  • While Izuku has a guess as to why Sai quits Pro-Hero life, he chooses to not force her to tell out of respect.
  • Sai leaves the Po-Hero life, despite spending her youth training to be one because the H.P.S.C didn't treat the death of Berserker, her teammate, with proper respect.
    • Izuku agrees that the Berserker deserves more respect than what H.P.S.C gives him post-mortem.
  • Due to blurting out recognition to All For One in Sai's story, Izuku is forced to reveal some information about him. But when it comes to One For All, he tells Sai that it's not his secret to tell. This only makes Sai respect Izuku even more.
Sai: Thank you. For telling me what you could. And for telling me what you couldn't. I admire your honesty, it confirms that working for you was the right choice.

     Who You Are to Me
  • This entire chapter is about Izuku & Fukunoko hanging out together.
    • Even though he finds Fukunoko's behavior a bit suspicious, Izuku still decides to clear his schedule for tomorrow so he can spend an entire day with her since she, a Hikkikomori, asks him to hang out with her at the outdoors.
    • Izuku compliments Fukunoko's cooking with a thumbs up, knowing that too much compliment is assumed as insincere, and too little is assumed as not good enough.
    • Izuku assures Fukunoko that he'll support whatever career she'll go after.
    • When Fukunoko panics over what Izuku would think of her writings, he assures her that she doesn't have to show it if she thinks she isn't ready.
    • One of the activities Fukunoko planned for spending time outdoors with Izuku is cycling, but she suddenly remembers she didn't know how. Even so, Izuku is more than willing to spend hours teaching her.
    • Fukunoko is pleasantly surprised that, after several attempts, she is good at and enjoying fishing, and Izuku is happy that the hobby manages to make her be at ease.
  • After Izuku gently confronts her, Fukunoko explains why she suddenly wants to spend her time with him - she wants Eri and Kei to be her sister, and they call Izuku "dad", so if she wants them to accept her as their sister, she has to start getting used to calling Izuku "dad" as well. Izuku tells her that both he, Eri & Kei already see her as their family despite it and that she doesn't have to call him "dad" if she can't bring herself to say it.
Izuku: Many people will call each other sisters or brothers, regardless of their parent situation. Sure, to some people being a blood sibling or a step-sibling is all there is, but for others, it's simply the next evolution of friends. People so close to you, they might as well be family. And really, what's to stop you from calling them your sisters? They won't. I certainly won't. At that point, you only need to ask yourself, do you want to call them your sisters?
Fukunoko: Yes! Of course, I do!
Izuku: Well, then it's settled. *Patting her head with reassuring smile* You three are sisters. And you can be sisters with Kiba, Kioku, or any other part of our family. Even if you can't think of me as a dad.
    [...]
Fukunoko: I guess…are you sure it's fine if I can't think of you as a father?
Izuku: To be honest, given what you think of when you think of a father, the fact that you can't think of me as one is a compliment. There's no need to worry about me forcing things on you. Especially not something like that. The only thing I'll ever really insist on is that you take care of yourself, and don't hurt others.
Fukunoko: That's…really all you want from me?
    Izuku: That's all.

     Cupid Candy Chaos
  • When Yami accidentally eats Amai's love candy, it's less of experiencing First Love and more like discovering that there is more love than the familial kind.
Love? Was he in love with Amai right now? This feeling was certainly similar to how he felt about Izuku but different. It was love but a different kind of love.
Still, he didn't have the urge to kiss her or anything like he saw in fiction. He was just very fond of her right now. And thought she was very pretty.
  • Ochako & Izuku take a break by playing Super Hero Bash together, discussing how the game could have more female characters.
  • Izuku tries to undersell how much he has helped the Urarakas by using their construction company as his regular choice to maintain the Midoriya mansion, but Ochako assures him that thanks to him, they no longer struggle for money and spend the day finding future clients.
  • Todoroki, under the love candy effect, asked Izuku if he could take a break for the day so he could spend it with his sister, which Izuku granted.
  • Ken, under the love candy's effect, confesses a lot of things, and Nara assures him that everything is now okay.
    • Ken admits that he feels like an asshole for comparing his past with the other kids, thinking he has the right to be a jerk when Eri, who he recently learns went through worse, didn't. Nara assures Ken that just because Eri has been through worse than what they had, doesn't mean that their experience is not worth sympathizing for and that he's a better person compared to those who use their past suffering as an excuse to hurt others.
    • Ken feels guilty that he didn't fully appreciate how much Nara has done for him until now, and confesses that he feels jealous at how much smarter, more popular, and more loved by their parents she is, to the point of strangling her as Ghostffreak one time. Nara assures him that Ken is a good person and never harms her where it matters, reminding him of the time he stopped a creep who was being pushy on Nara after she rejects his confession and that they now have a family that loves them in The Midoriyas, who are more than willing to help Ken improving himself to be a better person if he just asks.
  • Kyoka calls Kaminari a liar for, under the love candy's influence, calling her pretty, since she is insecure about her looks, but Kaminari assures her that he means it. While Kaminari is no Casanova with his wording of why he finds Kyoka great, it only makes it more genuine.
Kyoka: Alright dumbass, then exactly about me is so pretty!?
Kaminari: Well that's…hmmm. I don't know. I guess your fashion sense is great.
Kyoka: Really? My fashion sense? Great to know. I'll just be absolutely disgusting to look at if I let my dad choose my clothes.
Kaminari: I don't know ok!? It's hard to explain why you're pretty, you just…are? *Shrugs* It's just something about you that's kinda…attractive. The way you talk, move, everything you do is just so…you. And I kinda think that's awesome. Maybe that's it.
  • Fukunoko, who gains a confidence boost while under the love candy effect, is playing dress-up with Eri and Toru, with Kiba joining in later.
  • Fukunoko causes Kiba to fall onto the floor twice, first by trying to jumpscare her wearing an adorable bear costume, and later hugging and thanking her for letting Eri & Toru borrow her clothes for dressing her up.

     The Fool
  • Izuku tells Ren that his life changed for the better and that he is no longer Driven to Suicide after he starts raising the children, and knows the consequences of letting the dark thoughts get the better of him.
Izuku: I may not value my own life all that much, but the people I care about do. And so I would NEVER dream of hurting them like that. I swear.

    School of Wrath
  • Izuku regains his resolve as he remembers that he travels down his Palace so he can be properly strong for the sake of his children.
  • After they return to the real world, Ren explains that while healing the mind, even with his Quirk, is a long and hard process, they had been through great progress for the first session.
  • While Izuku won't let Ren use his Quirk to help the kids until his own Palace is properly handled and see if it did work on him, he still thanks the psychiatrist for making him feel physically strong.

    Shorts 16

     Game Plan (Part 1)
  • Mu tells the other kids about Fukunoko's writing hobby and suggests she be their game script's main writer because he thinks her writing is good and deserves recognition, with the other kids trying to assure her that she can do it.
Kiba: Come now dear sister, this is your time to shine! Just imagine how you'll feel when you see all those people praising you're writing!
Fukunoko: But what if they hate it!? I-I don't think I could take it if the internet started panning my writing!
Fu: I don't think that'll happen. You're an abused eight-year-old girl. Anyone who harshly criticizes you're writing is not the kind of person whose opinion you should care about.
Netsu: What are you worried about!? So long as you put passion into what you do, people will recognize it! Just work super hard and you'll get tons of people praising you!
Eri: I think you can do it Fuku! *petting Fukunoko's back*
Kei: Yeah, you can do it! *Does the same* I think it's the right choice.
  • Thanks to Fukunoko's creative writing, all of the kids' Author Avatar have a role they are satisfied with.
    • As for Fukunoko, she wanted to be the sister of Kiba's character who ran away from home to help the game's protagonist, but is concerned if the idea is too silly. Amai assures her that her character concept is of an Exposition Fairy, therefore not so silly, while Kiba finds it adorable, assuring Fukunoko by hugging her.
  • Nara points out how expensive producing a video game is, and is concerned about asking for production money from Izuku, considering that he already paid for their living expenses. Ken assures her that the video game's turnover and profit will be given entirely to Izuku.
  • Amai nervously asks Yami if he can come to her school festival, which he not only agrees to but tells her that she shouldn't be nervous about asking things of him, causing the girl to blush.
Yami: Don't be afraid to ask me things.
    Amai: Huh?
Yami: You are…my friend. You make…me happy. So don't be scared to ask me things. I want…to make you happy.

     In the Face of Death
  • Kakei, Amai's troublemaking classmate, is accepting that her classmates (sans Amai) are choosing her as a sacrifice to sate Yami's need to seek revenge against Amai, admitting that she should have been a better friend. Thankfully, her admission of regret and acceptance causes her classmates unable to continue attempting to sacrifice her.
    • Another student stops the sacrifice attempts, telling everyone that maybe the reason Amai makes Yami show up at their school festival, A day about overcoming challenges and improving oneself, is to test Kakei if she can Took a Level in Kindness. Kakei worries that it's too late now that she has pranked everyone at least once and therefore she will still be hated, they assure her that they'll forgive her if she is serious about becoming a better person.
  • Izuku assures Yami that what happened to Amai's classmates had nothing to do with his looks.

    Breaking The Ice
  • As twisted as pitting Todoroki against Ochako is, Yonda does it to help Todoroki embrace both halves of his Quirk.

    Frozen Fury
  • Despite the method, Todoroki is begrudgingly glad that Yonda shattered his misguided act of not using his fire half to spite Endeavour.

    Clearing the Snow
  • Todoroki asks Kei how she is still a Nice Girl despite the things she has been through.
Todoroki: You've been through so much. Maybe more than I have. And yet here you are, smiling as if nothing ever happened. So many people hurt you. Even now some people think of you as a freak or a monster. Don't you hate them? Don't just despise them with every ounce of your being?
Kei: Why would I do that? When my parents…my old parents…kicked me out, I did hate them at first. They were the first people I ever hated. It was my first time feeling like that. And it was gross. It made me throw up, and that was really bad because I needed all the food I could get. All hate does is make you feel worse, and make life harder. [...] Mr. Roki, be honest. Has hating your father actually done you any good?
Todoroki: ...I can't really say it has. But still…it can't be that simple. These feelings…they can't just disappear on a whim.
Kei: Maybe not. It's probably harder for you than it is for me, but I'm sure you can do it! [...] It doesn't sound like you tried at all, so I'm sure if you put in the effort, you can stop feeling so much hate and finally be happy with your life!
  • While Ochako is really intimidated by Yonda after their serious conversation, she realizes that the little girl has also experienced the world differently because of her Telepathy Quirk replaces her hearing & speaking. That makes Ochako want to understand her more by talking to her, hoping that by understanding Yonda, Ochako won't be intimidated by her.

     Mentors
  • The entire chapter is about the kids learning something from or training together with the 1A students:
    • When Yami falls off from swinging across the forest for a race, Sero gently tells him that swinging across is more difficult than most people think, but it can be mitigated by practice.
    • Koda spends the day teaching Kei all about animals.
    • Sato teaches some of the kids how to bake a cake, and complimenting Fukunoko that she is a fast learner. He also gently consoles Shiruku when he finds out, from a taste test, that she accidentally adds salt instead of sugar, saying that it is a common mistake.
    • Ashido, Eri & Kei accompany Fukuknoko on her Quirk training. The three cheer her up as she tries to hold on to her fear gas during a horror movie, and the two girls help their stepsister breathe slower as the 1A student points out how artificial the movie's props are, therefore not real.
    • Fu & Tsuyu bonding over camouflage training.

In the Mind of A Traitor
  • Ochako initially dislikes being Locked Out of the Loop regarding what Yonda had found that warrants the girl escape punishment from making her & Todoroki fight each other, but after Izuku sincerely explains to her that he will tell her if he could, Ochako decides to drop the topic, seeing Izuku's sincerity.
  • After compiling their findings, Nezu decided that Aoyama wouldn't be arrested for being All for One's mole.
Nezu: Aoyama, if we are correct, had no real choice in this situation, out the ultimatum "do what I say or your parents die". It'd be completely unfair for us to actually hold him accountable for actions outside of his control.

     Game Plan (Part 2)
  • When Fu finds Fukunoko too laser-focused on her part in Ken's Video game productions and helping others on their part to the point of neglecting to clean her room and herself, Fu puts a stop to it and tell her to take a break. When Fukunoko starts panicking and ranting over how much of her work still hasn't been finished yet, he cuts it short by flicking her forehead and telling her that her well-being equally matters to the other kids as the project, if not more.
Fu: This project doesn't even have a deadline. And while I appreciate you giving this your all, everyone appreciates that, we also care about you, and want you to take care of yourself. You are NOT repeating what happened to Dad. Now get in the shower and get to bed, or I will have Kiba come in here, and make you.
  • Izuku is proud of the kids for starting their video game project, seeing it as a way for them to learn how to work together to accomplish a big goal, especially one that'll support them all in the future.
  • To support the kids in their project, Izuku managed to pay for the right to use All-Might in the kids' video game and permission from the U.A. to add their staff members and Hero course students (if the kids can get them to sign a contract) to be part of the game's roster.
  • Todoroki has mellowed out after the incident with Yonda & Ochako. He starts to hang out with the other 1A students, he doesn't blame Yonda or Izuku for what happened, and he signs the contract because he realizes that to be a high-ranking pro-hero, he needs a popularity boost since he has No Social Skills.

     1 A vs
  • Netsu has been mellowed out since his last appearance, taking his self-inflicted defeat well.
Netsu: Does this mean I lose?
Ochako: Yeah. I'm pretty sure almost passing out counts as a loss. Sorry, buddy.
Netsu: It's fine. *Smiles* That was fun though. You're so fast I couldn't even hit you.
Ochako: Well, l didn't get out of this without a few burns. *Showing him her injuries* You almost got me a few times.
Netsu: Next time, I'll hit you. Maybe I'll even win.
    Ochako: *Smiles* Maybe.

Getting Over It With Neito Monoma
  • Most of the 1B students cheer for Monoma as he defeats Bakugo.
    Kamaki: Free cheers for Monoma!
1B Students: *Celebratory Body Tossing Monoma* Monoma! Monoma! Monoma! Monoma! Monoma!
Monoma smiled contently. He's sure that soon after this, he'd go back to being a side character. A support for everyone else. But for now, he could enjoy the spotlight and the feeling of putting an asshole in his place.

     House Rules

     Girl's Night
  • Most of the girls share their preference on what a romantic partner should have.
  • Kiba decided that, for now, she has no need for a romantic partner. As long as she has her family, she is content, to the older girls' adoration.
  • Fukunoko is not sure if anyone would like to be with her. Kiba & Amai assure her that she has a lot of good traits and that there's always a chance that there be someone out there who would love her despite—or even because of—her scary Quirk
    • Amai is surprised that Fukunoko's Quirk is scary & dangerous, showing how much her strong bond of friendships with the OPCS manages to make her look past their Quirks.
Amai: Oh. *soft laugh* You know you guys are all so friendly I forget you could subject me to a fate worse than death.
Hagakure: Yeah, you get over that surprisingly quickly.
  • Yonda & Nara assure Hagakure that there are people who would be attracted to invisible people like her — even if it's through imagining what she might actually look like.
  • Thanks to the videos the kids made with 1A students to promote their game, the hero course students became more popular, including those that didn't stand out much.
Shiruku: What do people think about 1A? The whole reason we filmed those was to make people like 1A more so they'd buy the game.
Kiba: Well, I think it worked pretty well. Opinions on Ojiro have increased greatly, and people can actually remember his name now. The same goes for Sero. People have been moderately impressed with Sato, Shoji, Jiro, and Aoyama.
  • Tsuyu pats Kei's head, causing the snake hairs to hiss pleasingly.
  • Yonda distracts Tsuyu and the other girls when she tries to compare Ochako with All Might.

     Performance Review
  • Izuku is glad that Ashido is great at increasing morale around the mansion, something that the kids sorely needed after his collapse.
  • 1A students that initially have mixed feelings about Izuku being the head of Midoriya Foundation at age 15, such as Tsuyu and Iida, have come around and started to support him.
Tsuyu: Speaking honestly, when I heard about you doing all this, I thought you were a little insane. But after working with all these children, I can start to see your logic a bit better. I haven't seen kids smile at me like this, since my siblings were little, well, littler. But seeing this many children smile and laugh, after knowing all they've been through, it's an amazing feeling.

Iida: Taking on this responsibility has given me a greater appreciation for the amount of work you have to do to give these children a future. I can't comprehend the amount of fortitude it would require to do all this on your own.
  • Ochaco is giddy when Izuku tells her that she's still the children's favorite 1A student.
  • Izuku and Ojiro compliment each other back and forth about how much they punch above their class weight in the game called Life.
Izuku: Now, Ojiro I have to say, your stay here has been extremely productive. The kids are very fond of your martial arts.
Ojiro: I think they're just more amazed that I managed to get this far with such a lame quirk.
Izuku: Well, I wouldn't say you're quirk is lame it's just…not flashy. You've been able to do some pretty cool stuff with it.
Ojiro: Yeah well, I'm just trying to do the best with what I've got. *Shrugs, before looking pensive* Although I really should stop complaining about my Quirk in front of a Quirkless guy huh? Sorry if I was being insensitive.
Izuku: You're fine. *Smiles* We're both doing the best with what we've got.
Ojiro: I think you're doing a lot more, to be honest. *Looking around Izuku's office room* All this came from one 15-year-old, with nothing to his name. Not even a Quirk. It's pretty amazing.
Izuku: Don't cut yourself short. Your quirk doesn't shoot lasers, or let you take down a building, or tank car to the face, or anything like that. But you took the matter into your own hands and used martial arts to make it more useful. And with just that, you managed to get into the most exclusive hero school in the world. And in about 3 years, you gonna be out there on the streets, saving lives. I think that's amazing.
  • When Izuku shows concern over the safety of the kids who want to be pro-heroes, Kirishima assures him that those kids are tough.
    • As Kirishima leaves, Yonda, who is next door and knows the real reason why Izuku is concerned for those kids, assures Izuku that he can trust All Might and Ochako to deal with All for One.
Yonda: You shouldn't worry like that father, it's bad for your health. Besides, All for One will be handled long before any of my brothers and sisters have to deal with him. All Might beat him before, and I'm sure he'll be more thorough the next time around. And if he can't do it, remember, Ochaco's going to be even stronger than him. She'll take him down.
  • Izuku thanks Sato for not only teaching the kids how to cook but also gaining the trust of Fukunoko, and promises to visit Sato's family bakery.
Izuku: While Ochaco and Mina are the favorites among most of the kids, I think you're Fuku's favorite. Which is a big achievement, considering her trust issues.
Sato: It's an honor! She's a great kid you know. Always trying to make stuff for her friends. And she's a real hard worker too! Best student I've had…although I haven't really taught anyone cooking before I got here.
Izuku: Well from what I hear, when Fuku focuses on something nothing will stop here. I'm actually a bit concerned she might pull a me, and overwork herself.
Sato: Ah, I'm sure everyone else won't let that happen. They're all good kids that look out for each other. And after what happened to you, they'll be on high alert with stuff like that.
  • After Izuku's outburst of having enough of 1A students wishing to be able to do more, Hagakure calms him down, making him realize that what he feels is how his mother and Ochako feel during his Self-Deprecation moments.
Izuku: I'm sorry for that, it's just…today has been kind of stressful. I'm not used to being…the boss you could say. And I'm not really used to other people saying things like that.
Hagakure: You don't like other people devaluing themselves? Well, imagine how your mom and Uraraka feel.
Izuku: ...Oh. Right. I guess I do say stuff like that a lot too. Is that how they feel when I say it? I really owe both of them an apology.
Hagakure: Ok. But a piece of advice. After you apologize, don't keep apologizing.
  • Izuku is glad that Mineta is self-aware enough to realize that he put himself in tasks where he rarely interacted with the kids, and not blame him for introducing the kids to Gacha games.
  • Inko consoles the exhausted Izuku and assures him that he did great during the review meetings, stating that the 1A students had done their best despite a lack of specific instructions, and he doesn't have to overthink things if he does something he thinks slightly inconveniences the employees, he just has to stop doing it.
    • Inko then tells Izuku that she'll be back at her overseas company around the same time as class 1A returns to the U.A., to Izuku's disappointment, but she assures him that there's still time for them to hang out together.
Izuku: It feels like we barely talked.
Inko: Well, we've both been busy. And we both know I'm not exactly one to stand out, unlike Mitsuki. I wish I could stay longer but, I have work to do. I've seen the finances here, and I'm more sure now than ever that I need to grow my business as much as possible.
Izuku: That's…fair. *Sighs* I'm gonna miss you, mom.
Inko: Oh. Sweetheart. *Hugging Izuku* I'm not gone yet. How about we go watch some of those All Might movies together like we used to?
Izuku: ...You know what, I'd like that.

     Field Day
  • 1A students have prepared a going away party as their way to say thank you and farewell to the kids.
  • When the boys wins against the girls in tug-of-war due to Fu's underhanded plan, people assume that Kiba would whine or throw a temper tantrum, only for her to laugh it off and congratulate Fu for his victory.
Kiba: Ahahahah! Touche Fu! Touche! But know that every defeat I suffer only makes me stronger! Next time we face each other, I will come out victorious!
  • Fukunoko is getting better at being around a lot of people by helping the cooking team make & deliver food for the event while sharing some with Mu.
It had been a stressful task at first, working with all those people. However, Fuku had come to realize that if she focused, and let herself enjoy her work, then she could get over that, and eventually, she did.
And now, she's glad she did chip in. Seeing people appreciate her cooking, did wonders for her self-esteem.
  • When Kioku gets exhausted during the Scavenger Hunt, Shiruku suggests that they take a break.
Kioku: What!? Shouldn't we not waste any time?
Shiruku: This whole event is for fun. If you're exhausted, then you're not having fun. Now come, let's gaze at the clouds.
  • When Ken & Otoko win the Scavengers Hunt, the participating kids cheer up their disappointed teammates.
  • Ken cheers up Nara as she's the only one who compete in the Ultimate Race that didn't make it to the finish line.
Ken: Hey, you gonna be ok?
Nara: I'll be fine. *Sighs* Just a little sore about losing a race while being the fastest one there. And I could have won if Shiruku didn't make me go through that maze.
Ken: Yeah, well she wanted to win. But hey, at least you're still number 1 in the classroom, so there's that. You're still the top nerd.
Nara: And you're still number 1 loser.
Ken: There she is. I was worried I'd have to be nice to you for a whole day. *Faking a gag* Ugh. Just saying it sounds wrong.
    Nara: Doofus. *Chuckles*
  • The event ended with a fireworks show at night, with Ochako sharing a place to watch it with Izuku. When the two recollect the Ultimate Race event, Ochako can't help but fall further in love with how much Izuku feels proud of what Shiruku did in the last leg of the race, going neck and neck with Ochako.
Ochaco stared at him for a second. In awe of the expression on his face. The happiness at seeing his daughter doing so well, the pride he felt in seeing all his efforts in allowing her to grow pay off.
It was a look that said a lot about Izuku. How happy he was to watch someone succeed, and how much it meant to him that he got to help that person. It was an amazing look, in Ochaco's opinion. And one she wanted to see, much more of.

     Fuku's Outing
  • Kioku, after learning that Fukunoko tries to be less blaming herself for anything and knows that there are people that find it annoying, apologizes for being too harsh on her earlier by rudely cutting her apology, and mentions how she shares that trait with Izuku.
  • During their trip to the camping location, Fukunoko & Kioku have an impromptu photography competition, taking pictures of what they see and comparing it to the other. When Kioku's photos keep looking somewhat blurry, Fukunoko stops their Beowulf ride and teaches her how to use the camera better before continuing the trip.
  • Fukunoko had prepared swimsuits for them to swim at the lake, but when Kioku told her that she didn't know how to swim, Fukunoko chose to patiently teach her how for a few hours.
  • When Fukunoko breaks down crying from constantly being praised by Kioku, out of fear that her new life in Midoriya Foundation is Too Good to Be True and might be All Just a Dream, Kioku hugs her tightly, stating that her birth father will never able to hurt her again.
Kioku: That's never going to happen. That terrible man can never, ever hurt you again. Never. Our nightmares are over. We've suffered enough already.
  • Fukunoko also teaches Kioku how to draw with perspective and helps her practice as they paint the scenes from the photos they took.
  • Kioku initially didn't want to open up to Fukunoko about what happened between her, Yami & Yonda, but after remembering that opening up might help her feel better, she told Fukunoko how much she hates herself for still feeling jealous towards stable families due to her lingering animosity toward her birth family...only for Fukunoko telling her how much she used to feel hatred toward characters with loving parents in her books, back when she still live with her abusive birth father, and how the feelings, while weaker, still linger in her at times, if not replaced with hatred towards her father for turning her into the Nervous Wreck she is now. Before Fukunoko can finish talking, Kioku hugs her, sobbing happily on her chest as she realizes that there is another kid who loathes themselves as she does.
Kioku: I-I-I'm… *Sobbing* I'm not alone…I'm not alone! I'm not alone!
Fukunoko: I…*Tearing up* We're not alone. We are not alone.
    • Afterwards, Fukunoko told Kioku how she manages to get over her envious feelings — distract herself with manga and books, and promises to lend Kioku her books and mangas.
  • The two girls fish with separate catch buckets not because of competition, but, as Fukunoko experienced herself, to improve Kioku's self-esteem by making her feel proud of herself that she manages to catch fish in general.
  • When Kioku asked Fukunoko how could she able to move on from her trauma & her Hikkikomori behavior, she admitted that she didn't move on that easily. Still, after finding out what it feels like to have true confidence and lack of Self-Deprecation from eating Amai's candy, she decides that such feelings are worth pursuing and that she'll try her best to regain that feelings and keep it forever, causing Kioku to look at her with awe & admiration.
    • The way Kioku looks up to her makes Fukunoko realize that like Eri & Kei, whom she felt deserving of being labeled as her big sisters despite being older than them, Fukunoko manages to make herself take the role of Kioku's older sister, despite the latter was adopted before the former.
Fukunoko: When you have to do something really scary to get what you want, just think about how badly you want it *Grins* And don't be afraid to rely on others for help. Honestly, I don't know how far I could have gone if Eri and Kei weren't there to help me. If you feel like something's too much for you, you can call Eri, Kei, Izuku…or Me, i-if you want.
      Kioku: *Smiles & nodding*
  • Kioku is caught transfixed seeing stars lighting the sky without the city's light pollution as dusk turns to night.
  • As the two retreat to the tent, Kioku admits that she's having fun going camping with Fukunoko, thanking her for the effort she puts out for this day, and asks if there's a next time.
Kioku: Can we go out again some time? And can we bring Eri and Kei?
Fukunoko: Of course! That sounds wonderful! Everyone's been through so much. And I know we're gonna have to go through some hard things in the future too. So I want to make as many good memories as possible. I'm hoping that if we make enough good memories, it'll make the bad ones hurt less. What do you think?
Kioku: ...I think that sounds amazing, Big sis.

     Baby Faced
  • When Aka tries to threaten Izuku by reminding him what happened to her last caretaker, Izuku admits that while doesn't like the torture she had done to them, he is willing to let it slide due to her traumatic past.
  • Even though Izuku is skeptical as to why she does it out of the blue, Yonda tries to give off a good first impression by visiting Aka's room and offering her a plate of cookies made by Fukunoko, while assuring her that it does not contain any vegetables or vegetable ingredients so it is safe for Aka.

     Short
  • Aka thanking and hugging Fukunoko for the cookies she baked for her first day in Midoriya Mansion — even if her wording intimidates Fukunoko at first.
  • While it derails the topic of the conversation, Netsu & Kai wish that people get to laugh at their funeral because they didn't want their funeral to be a bunch of sad people in a room.
  • Aka & Kiba quickly befriend each other as fellow Large Ham.

     The Coming of the Guards
  • Sori's giddiness on meeting Kiba in person, proclaiming how proud she is to serve her and the Midoriyas.

     Insecurity
  • Eri offers Kiba her Quirk-imbued blood because Kiba has been going in and out of the med-wing and she is concerned that Kiba might get a more permanent injury from constant fighting.
  • After learning that Eri's blood has Healing Factor and realizing that it is probably why she was abused, Kiba immediately tells her that she doesn't have to worry about Overhaul anymore.
  • Izuku playing a video game with Kiba.
    • Kiba is initially concerned that Izuku would get exhausted from being overworked again, but he assures her that not only does Ochako & her classmates ease his workload, but playing with his stepdaughter is not work, but having fun.
    • After Kiba wins, Izuku hugs her and assures her that she can be more relaxed around him and that she doesn't have to impress him with her act to gain his affection.
Kiba: Caretaker, this is an embarrassing position.
Izuku: Kiba, I told you that you don't need to impress anyone. You can keep the act up if you want, but sometimes I think it's ok to take off the filter and just do what you really want to do. Just for a little while.
Kiba: *after thinking about it for a while* I love you, daddy. *Hugging back*
Izuku: *Blushes & smiles* I love you too Kiba.
  • Kiba explains that how frustrating it is to get curb-stomped by Sori and that she hates losing because if she loses, then the blood people have drawn out for her to drink ends up wasted. Izuku then tells her that first, while she is strong, Sori has more experience, but that just means that Kiba just has to get more experience before she can tackle the likes of Sori, and secondly, the blood she has been drinking is from donors, so nobody gets hurt from donating the blood she drinks.
  • After hearing Eri explain why she gave her blood to Kiba, Izuku tells her how much alike she is with Kiba in being both impatient and having severe Self-Deprecation, but despite what she thinks of herself, she making progress in mastering her Quirk, and that is already above and beyond her responsibility as a child. Even though Izuku will ground Eri for injuring herself to give Kiba her blood, he promises that if an injury necessitates it, he will talk to her about requiring her blood and will draw it more harmlessly.

     Under Attack
  • Even though Izuku doesn't like his children to fight the invading villains, he makes sure to let them know that he is proud of them before they face their foes.
  • Shinso asks Izuku how he feels, now that he (temporarily) has a Quirk thanks to Shina.
Izuku: Bittersweet, for a lot of reasons. But I'm glad I can finally help in a fight, and protect my children. Like a real father should.

     Aftermath
  • Izuku tells the kids that even though she was part of the invading villains, Shina did regret her action and had a hand in helping them defeat said villains, so they have to start accepting her as part of their family.
    • Even though most of them give Shina the cold shoulder, Kei, Netsu, and Kai immediately agree with Izuku and return her hand wave.
  • Sai's mother, after finding out about Konashi, offers Izuku a lot of money in return for making sure that the teen's sentence gets reduced to house arrest under her custody because she is her granddaughter by blood, even though Konashi's origins are still murky.
    • One of the reasons Izuku accepted the offer was because he had a talk with Konashi who admitted that she was there only for Sai, and never meant to go after the OPCs.
  • After explaining the situation, Izuku asks Sai if she wants some time off to deal with the Konashi situation. Sai declines, believing that it would be rude of her to just leave Izuku as she just started working for him, which he appreciates.
  • The Nigai family is willing to house Yami until Midoriya Mansion is renovated because Mr. Nigai's grandmother is Quirkless, and sees the act of taking care of Yami while he absorbs negative feelings within the city as a stance against Quirk discrimination.

     Start Up
  • Izuku got recognized and admired by Mairu for his responsibility as the OPC caretaker, someting Izuku still not used to.
  • Even though she was discriminated for her birth defect, Mairu is Happily Adopted to Blue Blurr's family.
  • Seeing how much the Chaos Energy research means to Mairu, Izuku gives her a proposition; if she can show him proofs of her claims about Chaos Energy's potentials and benefits (which she then did), she'll become the head of Midoriya Foundation Research Division, letting her research Chaos Energy at her leisure as long as she use it to help secure the Foundation's complex, and fulfill some request Izuku may have, like researching other OPC's Quirks. Quite an upgrade from a intern.

     Checking In
  • Kiba starts a short stream to assure her fans that she's okay, which they glad to hear, and apologizes for unable to stream anytime soon, which they understands.
  • While Kiba, in Desperation Mode, did punch trough Nara's chest, she blame the injury to MLA instead for pushing Kiba to the point it triggered her Desperation Mode.
  • Yonda leads the other children to strategize how to get money so Izuku can improve Midoriya Foundation.
  • Fu asks Yonda on why is she really devoted to Izuku. She explains that ever since she has her Quirk, she was constantly hears people's negative thoughts, turning her into a misanthrope So, Izuku's and the other kids' thoughts are such an improvement that she will do everything to protect them.
Yonda: You see Fu, in general, I despise the human race. Ever since I got this curse of a quirk, most of what I've heard is hatred, complaints, and schemes on how to hurt other people. So much negativity, it's maddening. Do you have any idea how depressing it is to be me?
Fu: I can guess. I can also guess how much of a breath of fresh air Izuku's thoughts are.
Yonda: Exactly, not once does he complain about other people, or think selfishly about how to get ahead. Almost all his thoughts are dedicated to others. Sure he has his own negative thoughts, mostly self-depreciation which can be frustrating, but he's about as perfect as one can expect a human to be. And you all aren't so bad either. Almost everyone here is about as good as a human can get in my eyes. And I live far, far away from the mess of thoughts that is the city. This place is as perfect as it can get for me. And I have Father to thank for that. That is the reason for my devotion.
  • Nara & Ken checking Kiba after she finds out about her Desperation Mode. While she doesn't want to touch the topic, she thanking the two for holding her back from hurting the other kids and trying to kill Lady Kyu while she's under Desperation Mode.
Nara: You don't have to thank us, we were just doing what was right.
Ken: We're trying to become heroes after all.
Kiba: Well, you two have already become heroes in my eyes.
  • Mr. Nigai is happy how much happier Amai is after befriending Yami.
  • When Yami is barely awake & playing, Amai tells him that he can call it quits if he wants to. But Yami declined, insisting to trying to stay awake for Amai's sake, causing her to blush heavilly as her Quirk bursts out Love Candies from her body.
Amai: Hey, you can go to sleep if you want. Not everyone is suited for hardcore gaming.
Yami: *Shakes head no* Wanna keep going. Want to keep…making you happy.
Amai: *Blushing heavilly as Love Candies bursts out of her*
Yami: *Fell asleep on Amai's shoulder*
Amai: Oh, I'm just gonna keep falling won't I?

     Plans for Tomorrow
  • When Blue Blurr finds out about Izuku's job offer to Mairu, he is initially skeptical about it due to the unorthodox notion that a child caring facility needs a research division, but he relents after seeing that Izuku sees the value in his stepsister's research, how passionate Mairu is with her new position and how Izuku only wants to protect his family.
  • Izuku apologizes to Mr. Uraraka for hiring another construction company to fortify the mansion, which he accepts, understanding his company's limit.
  • Izuku apologizes to Chole on the phone for possibly drowning her in paperwork as soon as she arrives in Japan, which she understands, and appreciates that he has the decency to give her a heads up, unlike her previous boss.
  • Both Mr. Uraraka & Namae remind Izuku not to get overworked again.

Side Stories

     Fu's Notes
  • The notes include compliments and gestures of gratefulness to both Izuku and the other kids, showing that the Emotionless Boy is happy to live with them.
    • About Izuku: "Izuku is the nicest person ever. He holds no grudges, does not judge anyone, and rarely ever gets angry. He only ever seems to get upset when something harms someone he cares about. Or in some of my siblings' cases, when they harm themselves. He only really grounds us if we hurt each other or ourselves. Of course, that means I've never gotten in trouble with him...that also means I don't get much of his attention. But that's fine. He's very busy."
    • About Kiba: "Kiba may have only become my official sister after dad took us in, but honestly it feels like we've been siblings for much longer. [...] Kiba is, at the best of times, obnoxiously loud, overly full of herself, and very simple-minded. But somehow she takes all those bad traits and makes them into good ones...most of the time."
    • About Eri: "Eri seems to hate herself a little because of her quirk. I know how that feels. We all want to protect her. I hope we can. I hope someday we can make her smile."
    • About Kei: "She is also very optimistic. Which is strange because the world, naturally, treated her terribly. [...] The way she approaches her life with an upbeat, positive attitude is really admirable in my opinion. A lot of people like to complain about their lives, she just tries to improve hers."

     MCU Tier List
  • Kiba and Fu are putting both Ant-Man movies and Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 on the top tier due to resonating very hard with the theme of family in those three movies.
  • When Kiba goes Genki Girl when she gives her reason for labeling Thor: Ragnarok as her favorite, Fu notes how she inherits Izuku's Motor Mouth, something she feels proud to have.
Kiba: Dad is one of the greatest people to walk this earth, I fail to see how picking up habits from him could be a bad thing.

     Halloween
  • Izuku told the kids that he has planned a big Halloween party for them, including Trick-or-treating.
  • Izuku promises to add Shiruku's allowance if other kids are asking her to help with their costumes, which excites her.
  • To ensure everyone is having fun, the kids who didn't go Trick-or-treating will be watching horror movies together with Kaminari and Ashido.
  • Since this is her first time celebrating with other people she can call family, Shiruku wants her first Halloween costume to be special, but pretty costumes like a princess or fairy are too jarring on her with her spider legs, while scary costumes like ghosts or giant spider fit her body better, but it'll only emphasize how scary she looks. Izuku assures her that she doesn't have to limit herself to choosing between the two options.
Izuku: Oh, Shiruku. *Hugs* Your body isn't limited to dressing up as scary monsters. Yes, people can find your spider half to be rather frightening. But there's more to you than just that half. Your upper half has beautiful white skin and hair, and mesmerizing eyes. Maybe you don't have to pick one or the other. Scary or pretty. Maybe the key is finding a way to combine the two somehow.
  • When she asks for Fukunoko's help to design her Halloween costume, Shiruku notices a blue shirt and learns that it is handmade by Fuku. Shiruku then offers her help with Fuku's costume if she helps draw a design for hers.
  • The summary of Kei's costume.
Kei was predictably dressed in a snake costume. Was it very creative? No. Was it very Kei? Yes.
  • Kei, Eri, and Ochako compliment each other's costumes.
  • When Fu and Kiba are about to join the group, Izuku asks the other kids not to ridicule each other's costumes, or else he'll give most of their candies to the kids that are not participating, to ensure nobody tries to mock Fu who was Dragged into Drag.
  • Everyone is amazed by Shiruku's Halloween costume, thanks to Izuku's suggestion to blend both creepy and cute.
Shiruku: Did I find the right balance, daddy?
    Izuku: It's perfect. *Hugs her*
  • To everyone's surprise, Fukunoko shows up wearing Link costume, complete with The Triforce of Courage painted on her left hand, and decided to join them in Trick-or-Treat, trying her best to have fun outside her Hikkikomori routine with her family.
    • When Kiba asks why she chooses Link of all characters, Fukunoko explains that she tries to invokes Becoming the Mask as the video game character.
"Well um...I've always admired characters like Link. Able to face off against any kind of danger. Explore the world. Have adventures. It's the same reason I admire you Lady Kiba. I'll...I'll never be as brave, or strong as you, or Link, but...If I can pretend to be them. Even for just a little bit...it makes me feel...stronger."
      * Looked down at the triforce on her hand.* "I know this is just some paint that I put on my hand, but if I don't think about that, then it really does feel like it's giving me strength. Like I have a goddess pushing me forward."
      * Facing the other kids* "One day I want to be strong enough to do these kinds of things without shaking in fear. S-So thank you all for supporting me. It means...everything to me. And one day I WILL be able to do things without clinging to you guys for help. I promise."
    • Fukunoko's answer causes everyone in her group agrees to give her a head pat.
  • A lot of the Jack-o'-Lantern-making competition participants end up in teamwork with those that did not participate.
  • Crosses over with Funny, Kai gives all of the competing Jack-o'-Lantern in the Jack-o'-Lantern-making competition an A+.
Izuku: Well, Kai, it looks like you gave everyone the same grade.
Kai: Sorry, they're all just so good!
Izuku: Don't worry about it, son. *Patting Kai's leg*
    • Even so, Kai declares Fukunoko's as his favorite, making her the winner, to her surprise, and others' cheers.
  • Midnight, the R-18 Heroine, is invited as one of the guest juries for the Halloween Costume competition. Knowing that there'll be kids attending, she wears a more decent Halloween costume.
  • The Midoriya Foundation's kids are starstruck by All Might as he appears as one of the other guest juries for the Halloween Costume competition.
  • Fukunoko gets praised by the Halloween costume competition's jury for not only her Link costume but also her Master Archer skill, putting her in second place.
Fuku was shocked by how well she was doing tonight. First, she won the jack-o-lantern contest, and now she was getting at least second place here!
    Was she actually...talented?!
Fuku's mind was blown, and she walked off stage while completely out of it.
