Ryunosuke and Hideo Momose/Kamen Rider Century

Ryunosuke Momose

Portrayed by: Akiyoshi Nakao

The Former Shocker Scientist

A Shocker scientist from 1971 who finds himself transported to the year 2071, a post-apocalyptic future where Fenix failed to stop the Deadmans invasion. He is entrusted with the Cyclotron Driver by George Karizaki's future self, who sends him back to the year 2021 as a spirit in order to prevent that future from coming to pass.

The Atoner: His main motivation for becoming Century is to atone for his actions as a Shocker scientist.
Daddy Had a Good Reason for Abandoning You: He was forced to continue working for Shocker as a test subject after his family was threatened.
Fish out of Temporal Water: He comes from 1971, and in 2021 he meets his adult son, who now is physically older than himself.
Heel Realization: Takeshi Hongo's words to him that science was meant to bring peace and happiness to humanity forced him to reconsider his actions, and after learning of Hongo escaping Shocker and becoming Kamen Rider, he himself tried to escape the evil organisation.
Intangibility: As a spirit, he phases through anything he tries to touch. Though he apparently has no problems interacting with stairs and benches.
Reluctant Mad Scientist: Even while he was a member of Shocker, he wasn't terribly thrilled about everything he had to do while working for them.
Ret-Gone: After Diablo's defeat, the Bad Future is prevented and he gets erased from existence along with the Cyclotron Driver as a result.

Hideo Momose

Ryunosuke's son and a worker at a bullet train company.

Generation Xerox: He has a strained relationship with his son Shinichi, just as he did with his own father.
Hates Their Parent: Resents his father Ryunosuke, believing he abandoned his family, going so far as to declare that he has no father. They reconcile at the end of the film.
Tragic Keepsake: Despite his resentment, he still kept the old train ticket Ryunosuke bought for 50 years.
Workaholic: The source of the conflict between him and Shinichi; he originally planned to take him on a fishing trip, but had to cancel at the last minute due to his company asking him to come in.

Kamen Rider Century

Portrayed by: Takuma Komori (suit)

Century!

The Rider form of Ryunosuke and Hideo, it is accessed by Ryunosuke using the Cyclotron Driver to transform, whilst using Hideo's body as a conduit.

The Berserker: Break Form, which he turns into due to Hideo unwilling to cooperate with Ryunosuke.
Blood Magic: Users of the Cyclotron Driver can only possess those who are related to them by blood.
Deadly Disc: He mainly uses giant energy gears named Dest Cyclones as weapons, which can be used as rotating saws, barriers or even as platforms for Revice Neo Batta to jump on.
Dem Bones: In Break Form, the translucent blue parts over his mask and chest are not present, which exposes the skeleton-like details underneath and makes him resemble a Shocker Combatman.
Everything Is an iPod in the Future: Fitting his origins from 2071, Century resembles the original Kamen Rider, but with a sleek, futuristic aesthetic applied to the design complete with translucent blue parts resembling the iMac G3.
Finishing Move:
- Rider Punch: has two variations.
  - Century jumps into the air and coats his right fist in blue energy, creating a Dest Cyclone. Century then does a punch as both fist and Dest Cyclone strikes the enemy.
  - Century jumps into the air and forms two Dest Cyclones from both hands, and puts them together to do a Rider Slash in red and and cyan energy.
- Rider Kick: Century summons a Dest Cyclone as they perform a Rider Kick, and generating red and cyan energy.
- Cyclotron Finish
Fusion Dance: Hideo and Ryunosuke fuse into one to become Century.
Master of All: Century has 100 in every stat. Thus while other Riders beat him in specific stats, and normally only in their final form, next to none beat him in every stat.
Meaningful Name:
- His name is a reference to his year of origin, which is exactly 100 years after Ichigo's debut. Furthermore, the Cyclotron Driver resembles a futuristic Typhoon.
- Aside from sounding similar to "Cyclone", which was the name of Ichigo's bike, a cyclotron is a type of particle accelerator used to generate radioactive isotopes. Similarly, the Cyclotron Driver was used to prevent a Bad Future, which can be seen as generating the temporal equivalent of an isotope.
Mental Time Travel: The Cyclotron Driver has the power to send people's consciousness into the past or the future.
Red Baron: He's known as "the Contractor of the Future" (Mirai no Keiyakusha).
Red Eyes, Take Warning: Subverted in that he's one of the good guys despite his red eyes, and inverted in that his eye color in Break Form, i.e., the "Take Warning" part, is silver, not red.
Voice of the Legion: His voice is a fusion of Ryunosuke and Hideo's.

Shocker Executive

Portrayed by: Fumihiko Tachiki

A high-ranking officer in Shocker who works alongside Ryunosuke.

The Corrupter: Is the one responsible for bringing Ryunosuke into Shocker.
No Name Given: His name is never revealed.
Shame If Something Happened: Pulls this on Ryunosuke, threatening to harm his family unless his submits to their experimentations.
Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Like Colonel Zol, he's a militaristic Shocker executive. Notably, he was originally going to wear an Eyepatch of Power, but that was deemed too similar to Zol.
Uncertain Doom: He's last seen being attacked by a recently-revived Diablo, but it isn't made clear whether he died from Diablo's rampage, and he's nowhere to be found in the present day.
Villain of Another Story: While he does have a hand in the plot, he's a member of Shocker and thus an enemy of Kamen Rider 1 rather than Revice or Saber.

Diablo

Portrayed by: Yoji Ueda (voice), Rintaro Shimizu (suit)

The Demon of Mystery

A demon related to Giff. Freed from the Diablo Stamp by the Deadmans, he is assisted by four minions called "Crispers", who he created from the Crisper Stamp.

Big Bad: He's the main villain of Beyond Generations.
Big Red Devil: He's mostly white, but he's big and has several red highlights.
Dem Bones: He resembles a large goat skeleton.
Gruesome Goat: He's a demon who resembles a giant skeletal goat.
Last Words: Before being Rider Kicked into oblivion by Century, Saber, Revi, and Vice:
"Impossible! How could mere humans defeat me...?!"
Make My Monster Grow: Fills Mt. Fuji with his demonic energy before plunging himself into it to grow giant. Lampshaded by Vice, who points out that crossover movie villains growing giant usually spelled their doom.
Meaningful Name: His name is the Spanish word for the Devil.
Our Demons Are Different: He's another ancient, powerful demon of the same class as Giff.
Prehensile Tail: One of his attacks involves creating a giant energy construct around his tail.
Purple Is Powerful: His energy attacks are purple, and he is just as powerful as Giff.
Rasputinian Death: Takes four Rider Kicks through his torso and then plummets into an active, demonically charged volcano.
There Is Another: His existence reveals that there's other powerful demons similar to Giff.
White and Red and Eerie All Over: He's bone white with red highlights.

Crispers

A quartet of demons created by Diablo using the Crisper Stamps and the DNA of historical figures.

Elite Four: They're Diablo's servants, and there's naturally four of them.
Historical Domain Crossover: We've got a Japanese shaman-queen, an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh, a Spartan king and Thomas Edison.
Meaningful Name: Their name is derived from CRISPR,^note a genus of DNA sequence found in bacteria commonly used for gene editing; fitting, as they are genetic experiments created from the DNA of historical figures.
Standard Evil Organization Squad: Diablo's assorted team of henchmen.
We Hardly Knew Ye: They only appear to create four of the five pillars needed to empower Diablo before being killed off by the Riders.

Himiko Crisper

Portrayed by: Rica Matsumoto (voice), Suzuka Usami (suit)

Purple Is Powerful: Is predominantly purple, and is a powerful demon under Diablo.
Femme Fatalons: Her fingers all end in long black nails.

Khufu Crisper

Portrayed by: Toshiyuki Morikawa (voice), Kotaro Kaji (suit)

Levitating Lotus Position: Introduced floating down whilst sitting cross-legged.
Nepharious Pharaoh: A pharaoh-themed demon.
Winged Humanoid: Has two small wings protruding out of his back.

Edison Crisper

Portrayed by: Ryūsei Nakao (voice), Shigeki Ito (suit)

Cane Fu: Carries a walking cane as his primary weapon.
Steampunk: His design has this aesthetic, with parts of his body, particularly his shoulder pads, appearing to be made out of brass and having screws tightened into it.
Two-Faced: Has a large growth that curves into a spike protruding out of the right side of his head.

Leonidas Crisper

Portrayed by: Tesshō Genda (voice), Masashi Takada (suit)

The Brute: He has the bulkiest stature among the Crispers and mostly uses physical attacks.
Carry a Big Stick: Wields a giant club, shaped like a fist.
Full-Frontal Assault: Befitting his Spartan motif, his chest is completely exposed.
Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: Along with his club, he carries a smaller circular shield.

Takeshi Hongo/Kamen Rider 1

The first Kamen Rider from 1971.

Hero of Another Story: He's featured in the flashback to Ryunosuke's past as a Shocker scientist, but he's off fighting Shocker in 1971 and isn't involved in the present plotline.
Time-Shifted Actor: This younger iteration of the character is portrayed by Maito Fujioka, one of the sons of the original actor who portrayed him, Hiroshi Fujioka.
So Proud of You: Hongo thanks Ryunosuke for giving him the power to fight evil.

Suzu Saionji (Unmarked Spoilers)

Suzu Saionji/Oblivian

A young heiress who is the owner of the Pension Nijitenka Lodge.

Big Bad: She turns out to be the true culprit behind the mystery and the one who's continuing the work on the Oblivian Vistamp system.
Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: She presents herself as a nice and friendly person, but turns out to be behind the eponymous mystery.
Dude Magnet: Ikki, Hiromi, and even Kaido are all smitten with her throughout the course of the mini-series.
Evil Knockoff: The Oblivian Vistamp is a darker-colored version of the Barid Rex Vistamp, and also uses the powers of ten Vistamps, in this case, the Kaijin Vistamps.
Hybrid Monster: Her kaijin form, Oblivian, is composed of a mix of ten kaijin from previous Rider series such as the Orphnoch, Inves, and Smash.
I Never Said It Was Poison: She gives herself away by calling Kaido an Orphnoch, a term she couldn’t possibly have known and she wasn’t told by any of the present Riders, who wouldn't know anyway.
Power Pincers: Has a pincer-like claw on her right arm as Oblivian.
Revenge: Her motive for luring Ikki to the lodge was to avenge her fiancé's death, as he overworked himself in an attempt to surpass George's Vistamp system.

Misa Himuro

Shinzo Hanawa

The caretaker of the Saionji household.

The Butler Did It: He's an Oblivian Stamp user. Subverted as he's merely an accomplice to Suzu.
The Dragon: While he seems to be the Big Bad, he turns out to be Suzu's primary partner in crime.

Yasuo Samejima

A restaurant worker.

Taro Gondawara

A freelance writer.

He Knows Too Much: Suzu had him murdered because he was in on her plan to sell the Oblivian Stamps behind her back and had become willing to turn her in.
We Hardly Knew Ye: We sadly learn little from him, other than his profession, before he's murdered in the very first episode of the special.

Naoto Kamiya

Suzu's guitar instructor.

Canon Character All Along: He is initially presented as a new character, with a dose of Actor Allusion, but is quickly revealed to be a Role Reprise of Kaido in Part 3 of The Mystery.
The Scapegoat: Suzu pushes the Riders and Genpachiro in his direction, by leaving sand at the scene of the first murder.
Sdrawkcab Alias: His alias is basically the positions of the "ya" and "do/to" syllables swapped, with the "i" changed to "mi".

Genpachiro Otta

An assistant police inspector of the Metropolitan Police Department's first investigation division.

A scientist who previously worked alongside George Karizaki.

Driven to Madness: Fenix choosing George's Vistamp system over his Oblivian Stamp system took a toll on his sanity, to the point where he died due to overwork.
The Lost Lenore: To Suzu; his death is what motivates her to take revenge on George and Ikki.
Posthumous Character: According to George, he died prior to the series' beginning.

Characters from DEAR GAGA

Takako Kadota

Portrayed by: Rumi Sakakibara

Hiromi's mother.

Good Parents: She's shown to be very caring and supportive of her son.
Secretly Dying: By the time Hiromi returns to the Miyagi prefecture, she was already diagnosed with a condition that left her with only a few months left to live at best.
So Proud of You: In Page 1, she tells Hiromi that she was so proud of him becoming one of Fenix's commanders, and that his father likely would have been too.

Katsuya Kadota

Portrayed by: Masaru Tsuchida

Hiromi's father.

Alliterative Name: Katsuya Kadota.
Heroic Sacrifice: He died while Hiromi was young to save a child who fell into a river one rainy day.
Like Father, Like Son: It was through his example of being someone willing to save others that inspired Hiromi to also try to be a hero.
Posthumous Character: He has been dead since Hiromi was a young child.

Yuki

Portrayed by: Minato Shogaki

One of the kids in the prefecture.

Kids Are Cruel: He's bullied by a couple of other kids in the prefecture.

Characters from Revice Legacy: Kamen Rider Vail

NOAH

Emblem of NOAH

A private organization formed for the purpose of studying Giff's cells and engineering them for use in warfare. By the time of Revice, the organization has long since been disbanded, though a splinter cell stole Giff's casket and went on to form Deadmans.

Doomed by Canon: They're defunct in the present day.
Fun with Acronyms: Nest Of Anti-Human.
Gone Horribly Right: They not only created Vail by implanting Giff's cells into Junpei's body, but also had him murder Junpei's parents to drive Junpei to successfully become their own living weapon as a Kamen Rider. In doing so, NOAH created a mentally unstable berserker that attempted escape the first opportunity he had, then came back and slaughtered them all once he learned of the full extent of their manipulations.
Government Conspiracy: They're affiliated with the government and responsible for conducting covert research on demons.
Hoist by Their Own Petard: Their own base, if not the entire organization, was destroyed by Vail himself when he was unleashed from the Vail Driver.
Ironic Name: They're an organization consorting with demons, named after one of God's most faithful servants.
Meaningful Name: The organisation chooses animal abilities and creates Vistamps themed after them, similar to how the biblical Noah was tasked with choosing animals to board the ark.
Names to Run Away from Really Fast: Does Nest of Anti-Human sound like a good organization to you?
Number of the Beast: Their headquarters are known as Area 666. After the organization's downfall, it gets walled off, but later becomes the home base for Azuma's operations.
Predecessor Villain: Years before Fenix and the Deadmans, NOAH experimented with demons and Giff's casket, and their research laid the foundation for both those organizations.
Unwitting Pawn: It's heavily implied that for all their intentions, such as utilizing Vistamps as a form of warfare, they're just another one of Hideo Akaishi's pawns to be used to further his plans, as after their research base was destroyed, Akaishi is later seen taking the Demons Driver which had the sealed Vail on it, and later took the surviving members and Giff's casket into Deadmans.
Villainous Legacy: They're morally gray at worst, but their research into Giff eventually led to some of its members going on to create Deadmans and Fenix, the latter of which Masumi feared would make the same mistakes as NOAH.
Well-Intentioned Extremist:
- Aside from wanting to use Giff's cells and the Vistamps for potential use in warfare, they at the very least realize the dangers of the demons and employ Junpei Shiranami as their executioner. That said, their callous treatment of him leaves much to be desired.
- Their method of restraining Junpei after a fight is also incredibly cruel, holding him down as soon as his target is confirmed dead and electrocuting him in the heart until he loses consciousness. However, since transforming into Kamen Rider Vail turns Junpei into The Berserker and unchecked use of his powers once resulted in a massive explosion that's strongly implied to have killed several nearby civilians, it's by no means unjustified.
- Prior to Junpei, they conducted experiments on several other young men to harness Giff's cells, all of which ended with the test subject dying and creating the demons Junpei is made to dispose of.

Agariyama

Portrayed by: Mitsu Murata

Leader of NOAH

The corrupt director of NOAH.

Asshole Victim: As he dies after he was impaled by Vail, none of the main characters shed tears upon his demise.
Big Bad: Of Revice Legacy: Kamen Rider Vail. He is the one leading the conspiracy to weaponize demons and caused the deaths of Junpei's parents.
The Brigadier: A very dark take on this trope. He heads NOAH and is willing to employ some incredibly morally dubious means to combat demons.
Deal with the Devil: Agariyama considers NOAH's experiments to harness the power of Giff to be a way to perfect this so it's beneficial for humanity.
Evil Redhead: He has ginger hair and is a very cold and ruthless individual.
Hate Sink: Once the mystery behind the death of Junpei's parents is revealed, Agariyama is truly a scumbag who ordered Vail to murder Junpei's parents in order for his organization to control him for his ambitions.
Impaled with Extreme Prejudice: Is killed by Vail running his arm through him.
Lack of Empathy: Unlike Masumi, he isn't particularly concerned about the subjects who have died in NOAH's experiments and believes their end goal trumps the sacrifices.
Last Words: Before his death at Vail's hands:
"How dare you do this to my NOAH! Both of you will be disposed of!"
No Full Name Given: His given name is never revealed.
You Have Outlived Your Usefulness: When Junpei's body starts rejecting Giff's cells, Agariyama orders that he be put to death.
You Killed My Father: He was the one who set the red demon on Junpei's family, so he could capture him and use him as a living weapon.

Characters from Birth of Chimera and Battle Familia

Kamen Rider Chimera

Ryu Mukai/Kamen Rider Chimera (I)

Portrayed by: Shōhei Hashimoto

A young man who aims to join FENIX, in order to fulfil his dream of being a hero. He later acquires the Chimera Driver and the Twin Chimera Vistamp, using them to transform into Kamen Rider Chimera.

Decoy Protagonist: While he's the user of the Kamen Rider Chimera power set, it was Nozomu the actual main character of this spin-off.
Doomed by Canon: He's not seen in Battle Familia, and with good reason.
Everyone Has Standards: He is visibly horrified at Shinta (one of the failed subjects) turning into a demon due to the Chimera Driver's side effects, confronting Sotoumi and declaring that he'll never work with him.
Foil: To Hiromi, being an aspiring hero who is also the user of a Driver that turns its user into a demon. Hiromi's ailment with the Demons Driver was due to Vail, and he manages to avoid demonification after Vail abandons the Driver, while Ryu ends up mutating into a demon despite being compatible with the Chimera Driver.
Hero of Another Story: He's the eponymous Rider of the companion special Birth of Chimera, but surprisingly, not the main protagonist.
Last Words: Before he mutates into a demon:
"It can't be... I haven't... even..."
Made of Explodium: Played for Drama as the moment he is killed by Daimon, he explodes in such a lethal way that Nozomu's parents had to protect Nozomu from the explosion; they succeed, at the cost of their lives.
We Hardly Knew Ye: He dies at the hands of Daimon after turning into a failed subject demon.

Nozomu Otani/Kamen Rider Chimera (II)

Portrayed by: Issei Mamehara

Ryu's best friend who aspires to become a doctor, in order to help his ailing mother.

Advertised Extra: He was touted as a major character in Birth of Chimera, but in the movie itself he's mostly relegated to a supporting role and doesn't even get that long to be Chimera.
It's Personal: He swears revenge on Azuma for being responsible for killing Ryu and indirectly, his parents as well.
Mirror Character: He's essentially a one-on-one copy of Junpei Shiranami/Genta Igarashi, being a man whose parents were killed by an organization involved with demons, and swore revenge on those people. He even starts a new life after letting his past go through Genta's words.
Supporting Protagonist: While Ryu is the titular character, it's Nozomu who is the viewpoint character of the Birth of Chimera special.
This Is Unforgivable!: Says this near-verbatim to Azuma's back, after the latter causes the deaths of his parents and Ryu.
Tragic Keepsake: Keeps the Twin Chimera Vistamp in memory of Ryu.
Vengeance Denied: Though not for lack of trying; he gets manhandled by Azuma and loses both the Chimera Driver and Twin Chimera Vistamp, before being talked out of it altogether by Genta. Ryu and his parents' deaths are ultimately avenged by Ikki.

Scramble! King Crab! Crocodile! Kamen Rider Chimera! Chimera!

Animal Motifs: Has two of them in one Vistamp: a king crab and a crocodile.
Finishing Move: Known as "Edges", activated by pulling the Twin Chimera Vistamp in the Driver to the side. It has different variations, depending on the number of pulls.
- King Crab Edge (once): Chimera encases his arm in an orange energy construct shaped like a crab's claw that strikes the enemy, as he delivers a Rider Punch.
- Crocodile Edge (twice): Chimera leaps into the air, encasing his leg in orange energy shaped like a crocodile's head and jaws before Rider Kicking the enemy.
Flawed Prototype: Like the Week Endriver, the Chimera Driver can allow people to transform without the need of an inner demon, with the notable exception that it also allows the usage of special Vistamps that have the genetic material of multiple animals in them. However, for some reason, even qualified users will eventually turn into a demon. This flaw was later fixed after Giff's eyes were implemented into the driver, and was later refined by George into the Juuga Driver.
Meaningful Name: In genetics, a "chimera" refers to a hybrid of unrelated species, named after the mythical beast from Classical Mythology.
Mix-and-Match Critters: As his name suggests, his Rider form's design is a hybrid of his animal motifs.

Chic

Portrayed by: Shingo Fujimori (voice), Norito Yashima (live), Danki Sakae (suit)

Inner Demon of the Karizakis

Masumi Karizaki's inner demon, who was sealed into George as a child by Masumi himself and awakened by George's resentment towards his father. He is accidentally released by George following a botched test run of the Chimera Driver.

Astonishingly Appropriate Appearance: As he's the Inner Demon that Masumi transplanted into George, it seems that not only did he influence George's more sinister actions, he also influenced the man's fashion sense and hairstyle.
Big Bad: For Birth of Chimera, where he's the one behind the experiments with the Chimera Driver. In the movie itself he's riding Azuma's coattails, but he's still part of the reason Azuma is able to enact his plans.
Dragon with an Agenda: Helps out Azuma with his plan, but only so he can study demons and torment people For the Evulz.

Using the Chimera Driver he stole from Ryu and infused with one of Giff's eyes, along with the Tri-chimera Vistamp, he transforms into Kamen Rider Daimon.

Contrasting Sequel Antagonist: Like S/Kamen Rider Eden before him, Azuma is a Dark Messiah with a group of followers empowered by an outside force. However, S died prior to his story and uploaded his consciousness into the nanomachine swarm, allowing him to kickstart his plans. Meanwhile, Azuma made a deal with Giff for immorality and is currently dying thanks to his death, forcing him to go forward with his plans. There is also the fact that S is trying to save humanity by transferring their minds into a virtual reality, Azuma has given up on humans after seeing them repeat their mistakes, deciding to judge them.
Dark Messiah: Believes himself to be the only one capable of judging humanity and leading them to salvation. To drive the point home, he sports long hair and a beard in his first scene in Birth of Chimera and has a wound in his side, echoing Jesus' pierced side during His crucifixion.

Foil: To Hideo Akaishi, as both came from an ancient tribe and both made a pact with Giff for immortality along with them became subservient to Giff's cause as judges to the human race. What sets apart between them in regard to their actions is, unlike Akaishi who turned out to be a Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist and a hypocrite who ultimately values Giff's personal approval of destroying humanity than his stated goal, Azuma was as straight-up Well-Intentioned Extremist who kills potential evildoers and a Tragic Villain who losts his loved ones throughtout the course of history.

Red Herring: Contractory to what the trailers seemed to imply, he is not Hiromi's inner demon as others claim — he's in fact a clone of him.

Healing Hands: She posseses a rare mutation that grants her super regenerative powers through rapid cell division. Her ability was actually the crux of Kagetaka's "gene therapy" that allowed him to reverse Hiromi's advanced premature internal aging and his creation of the Human Mutants and Trans Amzer systems.
If We Get Through This…: She makes Hiromi promise to take her to the amusement park. He does.
Plucky Girl: With all the violence and betrayal going on around her, coupled with being locked up like a human lab rat for Alicorn, Rumi is surprisingly optimistic and socially well-adjusted for a former hostage. The things that give her the most joy are the mundane "normal" parts of life, like eating ramen with her adoptive Uncle Hiromi or going to theme parks.
