Main Party

    Saitou
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/saitou_7.png
Voiced by: Ryōhei Kimura (Japanese); Blake Mc Namara (English)

The eponymous Handyman who got transported into the world. He uses his skills as a Handy Man to become the "thief" of the party.

  • Aimlessly Seeking Happiness: He was pretty unhappy with his life back on earth, working as an unappreciated Handy Man, having no family or friends, and no real Goal in Life. Being transported into another world have him real fulfillment.
  • Audience Surrogate: Since he doesn't know much about the Standard Fantasy Setting he's in and is a newbie to the party, he asks questions about the setting and the characters, giving a chance for the story to lay out some exposition.
  • Bigger Is Better in Bed: Played With. According to himself, he's a "half Maderaca" (Maderaka being the king famous for his Gag Penis) and Raelza is notably distracted by this information once she learns about it. Morlock on the other hand, considers a half-Maderaka to be a Teeny Weenie and shames Saitou for it, but it's implied Morlock has absurd ideas on how big a penis should be.
  • Boring, but Practical: Saitou's skillset. He has no combat techniques like Raelza's or flashy magic like Morlock's or Lafanpan's, but as a handyman, he's invaluable for picking locks, disabling and bypassing traps, and maintaining the party's equipment.
  • Commonality Connection: He gets along well with Mevena due to their love of gadgets and how items work.
  • Covert Pervert: He can't help but stare at Raelza whenever a Wardrobe Malfunction occurs. Lafan even catches him Eating the Eye Candy once and gets him to admit that he likes Raelza's big boobs.
  • Fish out of Temporal Water: The Standard Fantasy Setting he finds himself in is much less advanced than back on Earth. It takes him some time to adjust, and sometimes his knowledge of "future" technology gives him an edge.
  • Friendless Background: He didn't have many friends and wasn't particularly close to his family back on Earth, which is why he's not preoccupied with coming back to his world.
  • Handy Man: He is the titular handyman and uses his tools and skills to break into various locations and chests in the Great Labyrinth, basically working as the "thief" of the party.
  • The Heart: He soon becomes the emotional core of the team
  • Heroic Self-Deprecation: Saitou constantly looks down on himself as "dead weight" since he is not strong, can't fight, and can't do magic, not noticing how important he is and that his party members truly care about him. It's best showcased when he's out with a cold for a few days, with the party notably struggling without the additional support he provides.
  • Jack of All Trades: Saitou can do a lot of things beyond lockpicking from making a custom backpack for Lafanpan to cooking. He notes he's always been good at everything, but also never fully shined in anything either, which contributed to his self-worth issues as he grew older.
  • Nice Guy: He's a genuinely kind man that enjoys helping others. All he wishes is that his hard work was appreciated more.
  • No Full Name Given: Saitou is his family name and his first name is never revealed.
  • Non-Action Guy: He's just an average guy with no real fighting skills, and can hardly fight even the weakest monster without assistance. As time goes on, he does become more useful in battle, with Raelza teaching him some basic combat moves.
  • Oblivious to Love: He seems entirely unaware of Raelza's crush on him, despite how often Lafan teases them both over it.
  • Positive Friend Influence: He had huge self-esteem issues due to being unappreciated back on Earth. Meeting the party and becoming a valuable member and friend to them gave him a new passion for life.
  • Support Party Member: Saitou grows into this role as he learns new skills. He studies magic to help Morlock remember his incantations, he provides defense for Lafanpan while she heals and buffs the others, and he keeps extra weapons on hand so that Raelza can switch them out as needed. He's become such an integral part of the party dynamics that when he's out with a cold, the party struggles enough for Raelza to demand he recovers soon.
  • Utility Party Member: Saitou's role at the start of the story. He has no experience in combat, but his history as a handyman provides him with numerous useful skills off of the battlefield. He later adepts to shielding Lafanpan from minor attacks, switching Raelza's weapons to the right one, and helping Morlock remember his spells. After he's been with the party for a few months and is out sick for a few days, the team realizes quickly how much of their weaknesses he has come to cover and support.

    Raelza
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/raelza.png
Voiced by: Fairouz Ai (Japanese); Sarah Roach (English)

The warrior of the group and Morlock's adopted daughter.

  • 24-Hour Armor: She's frequently wearing her full armor even while just hanging around town.
  • Absurd Phobia: She's a competent knight but has an absurd fear of slimy things, making her unable to fight things such as a hydra.
  • Action Girl: She's a female but has no trouble being the primary physical fighter of the party.
  • Aw, Look! They Really Do Love Each Other: She's often annoyed and dismissive of Morlock and his Scatterbrained Senior antics, but she loves him deep down and truly sees him as her adoptive father. When he almost dies defeating the dark spirit, she breaks down crying in his arms and when he does get Killed Offscreen she's very distressed by it... at least until she finds out about his Auto-Revive.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Saitou upgrades her gauntlets so she can pull out a backup blade from them in emergencies where she can't use or reach for her sword.
  • The Big Girl: As a knight, she's the team's main source of physical muscle.
  • BFS: Her main and most commonly used weapon is a huge sword that she swings around with surprising speed.
  • Buxom Beauty Standard: She has a sizable bust that is often the focus of Male Gaze. Lafan has complimented her about it and even Saitou can't help but get distracted by them from time to time.
  • Cannot Spit It Out: Has an obvious crush on Saitou, but is too shy to vocalize him. Lafan often teases and encourages her to do it, with little effect.
  • Can't Act Perverted Toward a Love Interest: At one point Lafan mentions Raelza used to take off her armor much more often before Saitou joined, with the implication she's embarrassed at being seen by him in the immodest clothing she wears under her armor.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: She often gets jealous about other women getting close to Saitou.
    • She often spies on him whenever he hangs out with Mevena at the item shop and is envious of how easily they get along. Lafan often calls her out on it and says she should just go in and hang out too.
    • When a succubus charms and attempts to seduce Saitou, she becomes enraged and attacks the succubus in a berserker rage.
    • She gets visibly bothered when she thinks Lilyza might have a crush on Saitou, and is relieved when it turns out not to be the case... only to be bothered again when Gible turns out to be the one with a crush on him.
  • Cloudcuckoolander's Minder: She often has to keep an eye on Morlock so his Scatterbrained Senior shenanigans don't get him in trouble.
  • Compressed Hair: She is somehow able to gather her long mane hair inside her helmet. It usually spills out the moment she takes off the helmet, meaning she doesn't actually bind it in a bun. At one point, Saitou makes her a custom hairpin to help her keep her hair tied up.
  • Covert Pervert: Once she learns that Saitou has a "half-Maderaka" she can't stop blushing or thinking about it, and was tempted to undress him when he was unconscious just so she could have a chance to see it.
  • Crush Blush: She often gets a Luminescent Blush when her crush on Saitou comes up.
  • Deceased Parents Are the Best: Both of her biological parents died while she was young while doing their best to provide for her.
  • Girly Bruiser: She might be a deadly warrior clad in heavy armor, but she's surprisingly girly, having a traditionally feminine appearance and characteristics. She's also shown to be self-conscious about this, once worrying that Saitou didn't "see her as a woman".
  • Glacier Waif: She's a deadly and capable warrior but looks very unthreatening and feminine when not wearing her armor.
  • Happily Adopted: Despite how harsh she is to him, she's grateful to Morlock for adopting her and does love him and sees him as her father.
  • Heroes Prefer Swords: She's the main female lead and is a primarily sword user.
  • Hidden Buxom: She's quite well-endowed, but her armor doesn't show it.
  • Insecure Love Interest: She's very shy and insecure when it comes to her feelings towards Saitou, and sometimes even shows distress that he doesn't even think of her as a woman.
  • Knightly Sword and Shield: She wears a pretty classic combo of knight armor combined with a huge tower shield and a BFS, although she also often uses her sword as a two-handed weapon for extra speed.
  • Lightning Bruiser: She can be surprisingly fast even while wearing her heavy armor.
  • Long Hair Is Feminine: She has surprisingly long hair hiding under that helmet and her overall appearance and personality are much more girly than one would expect from a competent warrior like her.
  • Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me: When she's not two-handing her BFS, she fights with a large steel shield in her hand.
  • Ms. Fanservice: She's the biggest provider of fanservice in the series, being an attractive woman with a buxom figure who's prone to suffering Wardrobe Malfunctions.
  • Muscles Are Meaningless: She's shown to be incredibly strong but doesn't have the kind of muscular physique that's normally expected out of a heavily armored knight.
  • New Parent Nomenclature Problem: She's been adopted by Morlock for some time, but still is embarrassed to call herself 'Raelza Morlock'.
  • Raised by Wolves: She was orphaned at a young age when both of her parents got killed by wolves and ironically enough, she soon ended up being found by a young wolf and they managed to survive in the wilds together until one day Morlock ended up finding and adopting her.
  • Reluctant Fanservice Girl: She often gets involved in fanservice situations against her will, such as being forced to take off her armor, suffering Wardrobe Malfunctions. Even her very first meeting with Saitou happened when he fell on her bed while she was sleeping naked.
  • Scars Are Forever: Raelza has one on her cheek that she received from a goblin during an early adventure. Once a wound has formed a scar, it's almost impossible to heal it magically. A pair of rare magical items together would do the trick, and Raelza had already found one of them...but sacrifices it to revive Saitou after he's mortally wounded and a teleportation trap has separated them from Morlock and Lafanpan.
  • Scars Are Ugly: Raelza has a scar on her cheek that she received from a goblin during an early adventure. It's not a very ugly one, but she's still ashamed of it since she got it from such a lowly enemy.
  • Shout-Out: Her blade greatly resembles Cloud's Materia blade from Final Fantasy VII.
  • Sleeps in the Nude: She prefers to sleep in the nude while in the privacy of her bedroom, which seems to be one of the few times she isn't wearing her armor, and likely does it for comfort reasons. This is often played for fanservice, since usually there is only a Modesty Bedsheet or Godiva Hair covering her naughty bits.
  • Team Mom: She's the most responsible and cautious member of the party and is often looking out for others, especially by keeping Morlock in check or protecting Saito from monsters.
  • Violently Protective Girlfriend: She's particularly protective of Saito, who she has a crush of, often getting panicked or rushing to his side whenever he's in danger.

    Morlock
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/morlock_0.png
Voiced by: Chō (Japanese); Bradley Campbell (English)

An aging high-level wizard and Raelza's adoptive father.

  • Absent-Minded Professor: In the past, he was a well-regarded magician known for his research but it came at the cost of him isolating himself in his work and ignoring his wife and daughter. Tragically, his daughter ended up dying of sickness without him ever noticing, and he invested too much money on research to afford her resurrection.
  • Accidental Hero: Morlock ends up saving Saito by summoning him to this world. Saito was less than a second from being hit by a truck when Morlock's fooling around with the time-space magic notes he still had from when his memory was lost results in Saito coming to this world. Morlock, given his memory issues, has mostly forgotten this fact.
  • Amnesia Danger: A Running Gag is that he can't remember the exact words to cast complicated spells, and does so right in the middle of battles. Saito began to memorize his spells just so he could recite them for Morlock in such situations.
  • Attractive Bent-Gender: When he momentarily became young, due to the fact he did not have his penis attached at the time, the spell also ended up turning him into a woman, and a very attractive one at that, although nobody noticed it, since his young male form is already a Long-Haired Pretty Boy.
  • Bigger Is Better in Bed: He's a firm believer of this trope, and holds great admiration for the old king having a huge penis. He himself claims he has a sizable one and gets extremely distressed when the demon dog ends up eating it.
  • Black Mage: He specializes in offensive and elemental magic.
  • Broken Ace: He's a legendary 80+ level wizard that used to be very famous, but due to his memory issues and old age, he sometimes isn't as useful as his power level would imply.
  • Came Back Wrong: Played for Laughs. He dies of a poisoned wound while the rest of the party was out doing a job, but since he had an Auto-Revive contract he gets revived on its own... except while he was dead a demon dog ate his penis, so he's stuck being a half-undead until he can reattach it.
  • The Casanova: According to Gibungle, he used to be a popular ladies' man when he was younger. Nowadays he's more of a Casanova Wannabe who women want nothing to do with.
  • Cerebus Retcon: Morlock's forgetfulness is played for laughs, however the reason for it is that he was once the great mage Chrome. However, he pursued his career to the point of ignoring his ill daughter and wife's distress. While he succeeds in achieving his goal to attain the rank of a great mage, his daughter died hoping he would come home, clutching the necklace she made for her father he never once wore before she died. With not enough money to pay for a resurrection as it was put all into his lab, his wife leaves him. After realizing that he really should've took his wife's warnings more seriously and after his wife angrily leaves him after their daughter dies. he takes a moment to realize that, for all the effort that it took to attain his mage certification, he trashes various things in his house in anger after he comes to terms with the fact that it means nothing now with the result of his only daughter dead and wife leaving him after selfishly accomplishing his mage-related goal. He then seeks out in the Great Labyrinth a mage who is said to control time. He finds him, but fails to win a duel with the mage to make him train Morlock in these magics to reverse time and save his daughter. The mage, before departing to other worlds, grants Chrome a "gift" and promises to erase the guilt he suffers from by erasing his memories of his old life. After this and misreading the necklace's tiles, he becomes Morlock the senile wizard with poor memory.
  • *Crack!* "Oh, My Back!": Morlock is prone to back pain due to his age. Fortunately, Lafanpan is able to use her magic to heal his back temporarily, though she charges him for it.
  • Crippling Castration: In the second story arc, he dies temporarily, and the demon dog ends up stumbling upon his corpse and decides to devour him to absorb his magic power. But all he manages to eat is Morlock's penis before he's caught and forced to run. Naturally, when Morlock is revived he's extremely upset about the loss, and it actually has dire consequences since the Auto-Revive spell can't complete unless all his body parts are attached, forcing the party to track down the demon dog that devoured his penis. At the end of the arc, he manages to regrow it after getting it's magical essence back.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: He was once the great mage named Chrome, but he focused so much on his work that he ignored his family. When his daughter got ill, he wasn't around to save her and he wasted all his family on his research so he couldn't afford a resurrection. His wife ended up leaving him in disgust. He became obsessed with finding the Time Travel magic in order to turn back time and save his daughter, and traveled to the Great Labyrinth in order to find it.
  • Dirty Old Man: He enjoys raunchy Vulgar Humor and is easily swayed by a pretty face.
    • When the party encounters a succubus who disables Saitou with her charm power, Raelza and Lafanpan assume Morlock will be fine because as a high-level wizard he has magic resistance. They fail to account for the succubus being a beautiful naked monster girl, and unlike Saitou, Morlock does not Ignore the Fanservice. Thus Raelza has to chase off the succubus by herself, but only for Saitou. She just walks away from Morlock under the assumption that the succubus will find him unappealing enough to reject his advances.
    • When he loses his hand, he asks Ninia to reattach it, since he heard about her "saliva licking technicques".
  • Drama-Preserving Handicap: He's such a powerful mage that his memory issues are the only thing stopping him from having a Story-Breaker Power.
  • Forgetful Jones: His bouts of amnesia and senility are often Played for Laughs and happen at absurd moments. Raelza claims he once forgot he was even with the party. This is later revealed to be a case of Laser-Guided Amnesia, as a time mage messed with his memories when he confronted him in the past, and his memory hasn't been the same since.
  • Iron Butt Monkey: Is often caught in traps or hit by attacks due to his Scatterbrained Senior act. Since these are supposed to be comical moments, he never gets actually seriously injured by them.
  • I Was Quite a Looker: When he absorbs the demon dog magical energy, be reverts back to how he used to look like as a young man, revealing he was a Long-Haired Pretty Boy.
  • Laser-Guided Amnesia: Morlock was once a great wizard known as Chrome. After losing his daughter to illness after he was too focused on learning magic, he sought to learn time-reversal magic to go back and fix his mistake. However, he failed to defeat the powerful wizard who had power over time and space, who erased his memories as a sort of mercy.
  • Magic Staff: He carries a long, magical wooden staff with him, which he uses as a catalyst when casting his spells.
  • The Mentor:
    • As the most experienced adventurer, he mentored all the party members in the basics of adventuring.
    • In the past, he also mentored Gibungle in magic.
  • My God, What Have I Done?: In the past, he became wrecked with guilt over his negligent behaviour led to the death of his daughter, and he became obssesed with Time Travel magic in order to try to turn back time and save her.
  • Mystical White Hair: His white hair is actually not due to his old age, it's actually natural, just like how he's naturally gifted with magical potential.
  • Parental Neglect: He ignored his daughter to focus on his work, thinking he'd be able to give her a better life once his research gave fruit. But she ended up dying of a sudden sickness and he couldn't afford to resurrect her because he spent all his money on his research.
  • Resistant to Magic: Due to being a high-level magician, he's highly resistant to any form of magic.
  • Retired Badass: According to Raelza, he has retired once as an adventurer, but it didn't stick.
  • Robe and Wizard Hat: He wears the classic robe and wizard hat attire wizards are known for.
  • Scatterbrained Senior: Morlock is one of these. This naturally causes problems when the party needs his magic to get out of a jam.
    • The most recurring problem is his forgetting his own spells. Saitou helps avert this by having memorized most of his spells and will provide him the finished incantation should Morlock need it.
    • He diagnoses a lightning trap which prevents Raelza from crossing with her armor on. He tells her if she gets out of her armor, he will levitate the armor over the trap and they will be fine. Once she changes into Saito's uniform, Morlock walks into the trap while holding the armor.
  • Shipper on Deck: He's not as pushy about it as Lafan, but he explicitly gives Saitou his blessing to be with Raelza and even does think of him as his son-in-law.
  • The Smart Guy: Played With. He's a very intelligent and experienced adventurer, and a specialist when it comes to magic, but his age makes him unreliable as he can have sudden bouts of forgetfulness.
  • Squishy Wizard: Played With. He's a powerful wizard, but doesn't have any physical prowess and suffers from chronic back pain. But he's also an Iron Butt Monkey who often gets caught in attacks and traps that could seriously injure him, but he never seems to take much damage from them.
  • Stronger Than They Look: He might be a goofy Scatterbrained Senior wearing unassuming gear, but he's still a very high-level wizard that can decimate hordes of monsters with one spell when he gets serious.
  • Tragic Keepsake: Morlock's current name comes from one. His real name is Chrome, which in the other world's language is written with the same letters. Chrome's dead daughter had a necklace with his name on it that he kept with him while trying to discover magic to rewind time and reverse her death. The same incident that gave him magically induced amnesia broke the necklace, and the letters ended up scrambled to spell Morlock, which he assumed was his name since he couldn't remember it.
  • Wizard Beard: Part of his Wizard Classic look is his huge white beard that goes down to his chest.
  • Wizard Classic: Morlock is an elderly bearded man skilled in magic, dressed in robes, wearing a pointed hat, and wielding a Magic Staff. Unfortunately, the years have taken a toll on his mind, and he struggles to remember the incantations for his spells.

    Lafanpan
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lafanpan.png
Voiced by: Nao Tōyama (Japanese); Krystal LaPorte (English)

A female moonlight fairy and the party's healer.

  • Affectionate Nickname: Her friends usually refer to her as "Lafa".
  • Curtains Match the Window: She has light blue hair and matching blue eyes.
  • Fairy Companion: She's a moon fairy who tags along with the party, since the treasure they gain in the adventures allows her to stave off her Curse.
  • Fairy Sexy: She's an attractive fairy who wears revealing clothes and is occasionally played for fanservice.
  • The Gadfly: Lafanpan takes some notable amusement poking and watching Raelza's fumbling involving her crush on Saitou.
  • Genki Girl: She's often excited and energetic.
  • Healing Hands: Her healing White Magic requires her hands to be at least close to the wound.
  • Honor Before Reason: Lafanpan suffers a hereditary curse where she will shrink over time unless she gives offers gold coins as a tribute to the moon goddess. When Saito learns about this from Raelza, he considers giving more of his share to Lafanpan to help her out but Raelza dismisses the gesture. Lafanpan is too proud to accept charity like that and will only take gold she has earned by finding treasure or being paid for magic buffs or minor healing.
  • Lunacy: As a moonlight faery, her powers come from the moon.
  • Only One Name: She has no surname, which seems to be common among faeries.
  • Only in It for the Money: A sympathetic example. She's only adventuring for the treasure and even charges fees for her services to her friends and allies, but this is due to her needing to offer gold to the Goddess of the Moon, as moon fairies like her were cursed and will shrink if they don't offer sacrifice to her.
  • Sexy Slit Dress: Her toga-like dress has slits on each side that leave her legs exposed.
  • Shameless Fanservice Girl: When Saitou makes her a custom bath, she thinks nothing of undressing in front of him and when he has a Please Put Some Clothes On reaction, she explains that since he's a human and she's a fairy there's no problem. But later when he sees her naked after a Shapeshifting Excludes Clothing incident she does have a Naked Freak-Out, and it's implied because during the time she spent as a human, she grew to have a crush on him.
  • Shipper on Deck: She often teases Raelza and Saito about their obvious attraction and sometimes even tries to push Raelza to do something about it.
  • Support Party Member: Lafanpan initially serves as this. She has little offensive power, but she is able to heal her allies and provide defensive buffs.
  • White Magician Girl: She used her White Magic to heal or cast buffs on the rest of the party.

    Lilyza Lassenpop
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lilyza_lassenpop.png

  • Alliterative Name: Lilyza Lassenpop.

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/gible.png
Voiced by: Hinata Tadokoro (Japanese); Matthew David Rudd (English)

A dual-classed thief/mage that serves as Lilyza's partner.

  • The Generic Guy: His overall design is pretty generic, and Lilyza herself describes him as a "boring-looking guy". This is Played for Laughs as it obviously contrasts with Lilyza's eyecatching Elegant Gothic Lolita design and the fact he's both a thief and a wizard yet look more like a generic warrior.
  • Hopeless Suitor: He develops a crush on Saito, but it's hopeless due to Incompatible Orientation.
  • Magic Staff: He carries a magical staff with him to cast spells. Unlike Marlock or the Power Mage, his staff is looks actually fairly sophisticated.
  • Manly Gay: He looks like a fairly masculine guy, but he's openly gay.
  • Only One Name: Gible is the only name that he's given.
  • Rugged Scar: Has a rugged scar running across his missing right eye, implying that he lost it in combat.
  • Support Party Member: As a thief/mage he's mostly a support for Lilyza who's the real muscle of the team. He either uses his magic to buff her or uses his skill as a thief to disable traps and navigate the dungeon.

Franlil's Party

    Franlil Nil Arnil
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/franlil_2.png
Voiced by: Ruriko Aoki (Japanese); Corey Pettit (English)

An elf fighter who fights without magic.

  • Action Girl: A female elf who's an expert in fighting at close range.
  • Armed Legs: Her feet and knees are armed with spikes to make her kicks even more dangerous.
  • Battle Couple: She fights alongside her cleric and Love Interest Ninia.
  • Braids of Action: She has very long hair, but keeps it tied to a braided ponytail so they wouldn't get in the way while she's fighting.
  • Covert Pervert: While she doesn't come up with it, she's shown to greatly enjoy being subjected to Ninia's Lecherous Licking.
  • Fragile Speedster: She's very fast, but can't take many blows, which is why she has a cleric as her sole partner.
  • Friendly Rival: Has a friendly rivalry with Raelza that started with a duel over a chest.
  • Implied Love Interest: It's heavily hinted she has romantic feelings for Ninia, but it's never explicitly confirmed if they're actually a couple or just have tons of Unresolved Sexual Tension.
  • Muggle Born of Mages: She's an elf, which is a race that is well-known for their magical potential, yet she has none of it herself and fights using her melee skills.
  • Repetitive Name: Her name has a lot of "il"s.
  • She-Fu: Her fighting style involved many acrobatic moves.
  • Wolverine Claws: She specializes in hand-to-hand combat, and wears a pair of clawed gauntlets in order to make her punches more deadly.
  • Wrestler in All of Us: She can use wrestling grapples against human and monster enemies.

    Ninia

Voiced by: Azusa Tadokoro (Japanese); Macy Anne Johnson (English)

A female cleric and Franlil's partner.

The Hero's Party

    Cains
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cainz.png
Voiced by: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (Japanese); Kieran Flitton (English)

A mediocre fighter who was picked by the kingdom to be their idol hero.

    Lychee
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lychee.png
Voiced by: Yuu Serizawa (Japanese); Hannah Alyea (English)

A mediocre sorceress who was picked by the kingdom to be their idol heroine.

  • Black Mage: She's supposed to be the offensive magician on the team, though she's something of an Inept Mage.
  • Cute Witch: She's a sorceress who has an In-Universe "adorable" aesthetic. In fact, looking cute is the only reason she even got hired.
  • Hired for Their Looks: She was only picked for the team because of her good looks, as she's a mediocre magician.
  • Inept Mage: She was too lazy to properly learn magic, and gave up halfway through her studies, to the point she doesn't even know how to cast any ice magic despite having an aptitude for it.
  • It's All About Me: She doesn't care for anyone but herself. Notably in the fight against the Dark Spirit, she just hid in a corner to protect herself.
  • Lazy Bum: She's an adventurer, but is a slouch that doesn't actually like doing any adventuring work to where she never bothered to learn any ice magic.
  • Only One Name: Lychee is the only name that she's given.
  • Propaganda Hero: The kingdom doesn't expect her to get any work done, they just want her as propaganda for the Great Labyrinth.

    Montil "Monpui" Puitt
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/monpui.png
Voiced by: Chikara Honda (Japanese)

A deceitful cleric that only got into the party due to being the nephew of the kingdom's high priest.

  • Gonk: He has a deformed round-faced with a comically huge nose.
  • Heel–Face Turn: He's quite a scoundrel at first, but after being affected by Saitou's kindness and his own friendship with Cains makes he wants to turn over a new leaf and become an actually competent cleric.
  • Inept Mage: Downplayed. He's not a very talented cleric and tends to act more like a thief or assassin but after Character Development he becomes much more competent at his job.
  • Nepotism: Monpui, the priest candidate for the Hero party is initially dismissed by two committee members citing genuine criticisms of the young man. However, when the third member notes the candidate is his nephew, the other two try and coach what they said in a positive way and he is awarded the place on the party. That said, while he does do some duplicitous things later on, he is skilled in holy magic and defensive barriers. Ironically, he's the most talented member of the "hero party", with the other members being chosen only because they look the part.
  • Propaganda Hero: The kingdom doesn't expect him to get any work done, they just want him as propaganda for the Great Labyrinth.
  • Support Party Member: As a cleric he's supposed to use his White Magic to help his comrades, but he's too selfish to actually make be an effective cleric. After his Character Development he becomes much better at it.

Voiced by: Chiwa Saitō (Japanese); Morgan Garrett (English)

A witch cursed to never age that Kisurigi ends up falling in love with.
