Villains

Vilgax's Faction

    Vilgax
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/animorph78c.png
Ben Tennyson's Arch-Enemy. A dethroned king in search of regaining the glory he once lost.
  • Adaptational Badass: This Vilgax is one of the strongest, most threatening portrayals since the original series. The author HATED the "You stabbed me scene".
  • Adaptational Heroism: Wanted the Omnitrix to save his planet from the Fulmini.
  • Arch-Enemy: He is THE Archenemy of Ben Tennyson.
  • Beard of Evil: His iconic tentacle beard.
  • Being Tortured Makes You Evil: He's definitely taken a moral downslide after being tortured by the High Override.
  • Combat Tentacles: His arms are actually formed by five tentacles each compressed together. He can detatch them and use each one independently, allowing him to hit multiple targets at once or to trap opponents.
  • Composite Character: His appearance and inability to stay down are taken from the first series, but has Eye Beams similar to (but not exactly like) the Alien Force incarnation of the character.
  • The Determinator: Despite being tortured by the Fulmini, he still carries on his mission to save his people.
  • Didn't See That Coming: His biggest flaw.
  • The Dreaded: In a universe filled with Eldritch Abominations, Evil Sorcerers, Alien Invaders with Death Rays available on a large scale, Ghost Aliens, Evil Overlords, Monster Clowns, and psychotic mutants amongst other things, this guy is still considered the most dangerous being. Even years later, Ben still fears him the most.
  • Establishing Character Moment: His first appearance is scaring the living hell out of Ben and regenerating the tentacles Diamondhead slashed off.
  • Fallen Hero: Was once a genuinely heroic figure, defending his home planet and having saved Psyphon's whole species from extinction.
  • Genius Bruiser: A Manipulative Bastard in a Juggernaut's body.
  • He's Back!: A villainous version. He was severely depowered and left withered and frail. Upon regaining his power, he went back to being The Dreaded.
    • Happens again when he returns years later.
  • Large and in Charge: He has a very tall stature that towers over all humans.
  • Major Injury Underreaction: He doesn't seem to care nor mind when his body is excessively damaged. All he cares about is getting revenge...
  • Nigh-Invulnerability: He survived a point-blank nuclear explosion and a supernova attack by Heatblast.
  • One-Winged Angel: His form, post rejuvenation. He swats aside Kevin, Ruby and Anna with ease.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning: He is the main antagonist of the first and second seasons and has red colored eyes.
  • We Can Rebuild Him: Psyphon's main goal for him in the second season.

    Psyphon
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/afuapsyphon_8293.png
Vilgax's assistant and lackey. He is a skilled scientist in charge with most of Vilgax's technology. He was killed by one of Salem's seer Grimm.
  • Animal Motifs: His appearance is rather shark-like.
  • Avenging the Villain: His entire goal in the second season.
  • Badass Bookworm: A genius in technology and science, but also a remarkable fighter when given the chance to prove himself.
  • Battle Butler: Vilgax's lackey, and while he doesn't fight that often, Awaken shows he's quite the opponent.
  • The Dragon: He claims to have been Vilgax's, but he was more of just a high ranking servant.
  • Dragon Ascendant: Sort of; he doesn't exactly ascend to Big Bad status, but he does start his own business independently from Vilgax and becomes Undertown's main crime boss.
  • Mugging the Monster: Targets an Atlas shipment Salem was having Albedo target, and pays for it.
  • Neck Snap: Salem kills him this way via a Seer.
  • Power High: When he uses the To'kustar sample on himself in Undertown.
  • Red Eyes, Take Warning
  • Slasher Smile: Quite often due to his shark-like looks.

    Doctor Animo
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Ben_10_xx_-_Animo_2_9896.jpg
One of the few villains in Ben's Rogues Gallery to be a human. Dr. Aloysius Animo was once a brilliant veterinary, until he made genetic experiments on animals in the hope of gaining a famous medicine prize. His experiments were judged amoral, and the prize was instead given to another doctor. Unable to stand this, Animo retreated for years and went on in his experiments. Eventually, he ended up developing a device named the Trasmodulator that allowed him to transform animals into giant mutant monsters.
  • Adaptation Origin Connection: Animo was inspired to continue his work when he saw Diamondhead on TV.
  • The Beastmaster: Of his own, he has little to no fighting skills, especially against someone as powerful as Ben or Ruby. But he usually has an entire army of mutated animals at his beck and call, so it doesn't really matter.
  • Body Horror: His experiments certainly give off this horrible vibe.
  • Cool Old Guy: Not at Max's level, but he comes close at being an awesome senior citizen.
  • Dragon Ascendant: Manages to become a Big Bad in a possible future; he managed to create an entire army of mutated alien hybrids from the corpse of Kevin Levin, as well as turn himself into a hivemind using the nanochips.
  • Dude, Where's My Respect?: The reason behind his Start of Darkness.

    Khyber the Huntsman
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/khyber_of_predators_and_prey_4png.png
An alien Egomaniac Hunter sent to hunt down Kevin.

    SixSix
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/Sixsix_5420.png
An indecipherable alien hunter sent to hunt Kevin.

    Kraab
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/kraab_012.png
An alien Bounty Hunter, first introduced as one of the people sent by Psyphon to get the Anti Trix.
  • Cyborg: The large majority of his body is a mechanical, crab-like shell, but he is at least partially organic.
  • Giant Enemy Crab: As suggested by his name, he has a distinct crab-like appearance, completed with a pincer.
  • Light Is Not Good: His armor is golden, but he is far from being a good guy.
  • The Smart Guy: Of the team he forms with Sixsix and Khyber.
  • Would Hurt a Child: Has no problem hunting down Kevin.

Culture Of Death

    Salem
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/salem_v7.png
Salem leads a campaign to bring about the Huntsmen Academies' downfall from the shadows, commanding the Grimm, Faunus, and humans to enact her will.
  • Ancient Evil: Salem has worked her evil from the shadows for thousands of years.
  • The Beastmaster: Salem is able to command the Grimm.
  • The Chessmaster: Salem's entire methodology revolves around careful manipulation, using pawns to covertly act and cause destruction and chaos, while leaving her motives and even existence nearly impossible to determine.
  • Cold-Blooded Torture: Summer Rose hurt her somehow, so she captured her and has been torturing her since.
  • * The Dreaded: Salem is a dark and dangerous humanoid who possesses mastery over the Grimm, monsters that are instinctively attracted to negative emotions such as fear, panic, hate and grief, and which are attempting to hunt humanity into extinction. Although the Grimm dominate the world, her existence is not public knowledge.
  • Dissonant Serenity: Talks about her dark designs with her subordinates like a dinner conversationalist would.
  • Evil Mentor: Salem acts towards Cinder and Cass almost like an "evil fairy godmother".
  • Evil Sorcerer: She IS magic, after all.
  • Invincible Villain: Takes Tyrian's slashes like they were nothing.
  • Ironic Name: In addition to her name being a reference to the eponymous witch trials, her name can also mean peace or completion in Hebrew terminology.
  • Healing Factor: When Tyrian slashes her in a rage, she barely reacts and just starts healing.
  • Not Quite Dead: It was initially implied that she had destroyed herself wiping out magic on Earth, but then Albedo mentions her in the present tense in Chapter 33...
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: Ozpin notes that her getting directly involved during the attack on Beacon is highly out of character for her.

    Cinder Fall
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/cinder_mugshot.png
A mysterious and enigmatic woman possessing immense power. Her bewitching appearance belies her affinity for cruelty and causing pain, with her associates tiptoeing around her to avoid her wrath.
  • Bad Boss: Downplayed. While she treats her subordinates with respect and doesn't spend their lives needlessly, she expects their total obedience and loyalty and will not tolerate failure or disobedience, telling them to "don't think, obey".
  • Combat Stilettos: All of her outfits include heels.
  • Dark Action Girl: One of the most powerful fighters in the series, she's reserved with a touch of cruelty.
  • Dishing Out Dirt: Cinder's Semblance lets her superheat objects and manipulate their shape.
  • Evil Counterpart: For Ruby. A young girl being admitted into Beacon two years early contrasting with a woman infiltrating the same school illegitimately. Ruby relies on Crescent Rose almost exclusively during combat while Cinder has one of the most varied fighting styles in the entire cast. Both are looking to change the world, with Ruby hoping to give everyone a happy ending while Cinder appears to want to throw the world into chaos. They even share the same red-and-black color scheme, but where Ruby is accented with silver, Cinder is accented with gold.
  • Glass Weapon: Cinder's weapon are a pair of blades made from obsidian glass that can be combined to create a bow that fires either regular or explosive-tipped arrows.
  • Hero Killer: Implied.
  • Uncertain Doom: It's unclear if she was killed by Ruby's Silver Eyes flaring up or if she was merely injured, either way Salem had Breach retrieve her body.

    Roman Torchwick
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/roman_v1.png
A crime lord who tries to make a deal with Fistrick, and an enemy of team RWBY. Roman's weapon, Melodic Cudgel, appears to be an ordinary walking stick, but when activated it raises a crosshair and fires an unstable explosive round resembling a roman candle.
  • Adaptational Badass: The authors give Roman a semblance, akin to Loki- he uses his "silver tongue" to persuade others to do his bidding. It apparently has some limitations though, it doesn't work on Fistrick, for starters.
  • A Father to His Men: To his "women" in this case- he adopted Neo in this universe.
  • Badass Normal: Despite having a semblance, it isn't very action-oriented. He still can gladly hold his own against others.
  • Boom Stick: His cane can be used as a gun, with the base of the weapon flipping up to both expose the barrel and act as a targeting sight. When the cane fires, it uses explosive rounds that resemble a Roman Candle in design.
  • Cane Fu: Roman has designed the cane to function as a gun, complete with the base flipping up to function as a targeting sight. However, the cane can also be used as a fencing sword or a club.
  • Evilis Hammy: Roman is defined by his over the top personality.
  • Guyliner: Roman's visible eye is traced with black eyeliner that contributes to his Pretty Boy looks, which contributes to his Alex Delarge appearance.
  • Locked Out of the Loop: No one else told him that Taiyang was Ruby's father before he had him kidnapped, seemingly for kicks.
  • The Nicknamer: Gives Ruby the nickname Red.
  • Parental Substitute: The closest thing that Neo's ever had to a father.
  • Shipper on Deck: Seems to support Neo and Albedo as a couple.

    Cassidy Prewett-Amity
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/img_20191016_205936.jpg
A girl from Haven Academy.

    Charmcaster
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/capture_632.PNG
At first appearing to be an stranger in a new world, Charmcaster shows her true colors when she attempts to gain the power of Bezel for herself. After her second defeat at the hands of Gwen, Charmcaster joins with Salem in the promise of getting what she wants...
  • Anti-Villain: A slight variant of Type I (see Worthy Opponent), with shades of Type II.
  • Broken Bird: To a tee- she's a immigrant in a strange new world, without her parents to truly guide her.
  • Hot Witch: Certainly invokes this when older.

    Emerald Sustrai
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/emerald_v5.png
Often feigning an amicable demeanor, Emerald is a snarky woman who also has a habit of sneakily robbing people when they least expect it. She's a premier stealth fighter, preferring opportunity attacks over straight-up confrontations.
  • Affably Evil: Although she is capable of cold, calculating acts of assassination or petty theft, she is generally energetic and quirky.
  • Ambiguously Brown: Her skin is very dark but all nations are fantasy nations in this show. She's not native to Vale, that's all that's been said.
  • Bitch in Sheep's Clothing: Pretends to act like a polite and friendly person towards Ruby and other students, in actual fact is disgusted by how naive and altruistic they are and openly admits to Mercury that she hates them.
  • Cleavage Window: She wears a two-layered design. The green top barely covers her breasts, while a white bolero wraps around her neck. Together they create an exposed cleavage region.
  • Dark Action Girl: A thief who uses stealth and isn't above employing underhanded tactics to defeat someone.
  • Deadpan Snarker: She's pretty sardonic at times.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Charmcaster.
  • The Gunslinger: Her falxes are also revolvers, going along with the cowboy chaps she wears.
  • Rock Theme Naming: Emerald is named after the semi-precious stone, and her hair is green to match the name. Cleopatra, whom Emerald resembles, was said to have been both obsessed with and cursed by emeralds.
  • Masterof Illusion: Her Semblance, which allows her to project lifelike hallucinations into the minds of others.
  • Variable-Length Chain: Her weapon's chain length is usually held at nunchuck size when fighting, but can extend really far away.

    Hazel Rainart
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/hazel_rainart_3.png
One of Salem's associates. He is tasked with meeting the White Fang and ensuring that they correctly perform the role Salem has assigned them. He has a history with Ozpin, being referred to as a man from the latter's past.—-
  • Affably Evil: Always polite to people.
  • Anti Villan: Hazel is the least antagonistic of Salem's enforcers.
  • Bare-Fisted Monk: Hazel doesn't rely on a weapon for battle, he fights with his fists and arms. Although when he carries Dust crystals that he can stab his arms with to power up, his style changes to lightning-powered bare-fisted blows.
  • Beard of Evil: Most of the male villains are clean-shaven with the exception of Hazel, who sports a goatee-style chinstrap. Hazel is quiet and calm; he hates fighting and loathes unnecessary killing.
  • Cold Ham: He hardly speaks, and when he does it's often overly matter-of-fact.
  • Feel No Pain: Hazel's Semblance allows him to block out pain, enabling him to endure directly stabbing Dust crystals into his body.
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: Hazel's inner elbows are littered with scars, the result of stabbing Dust crystals directly into his arms during battle.
  • The Juggernaut: Hazel is an unstoppable mix of Super-Toughness and sheer willpower who is one of the strongest non-magical beings in the entire world.
  • Muscles Are Meaningful: His large, muscular frame lends itself well to his unarmed fighting style.
  • The Quiet One: He doesn't engage in the bantering and mocking that Salem's other subordinates engage in. He only speaks when he has something specific to say.
  • Token Good Teammate: Salem's team of subordinates include Cinder and Dr. Watts, who are both arrogant sadists, and Tyrian who openly loves battle and killing people. Hazel, in comparison, is calm, restrained, shows the occasional moment of kindness and detests unnecessary conflict, violence or killing.

    Arthur Watts
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/watts_thumb_9.png
One of Salem's associates. A disgraced doctor and scientist from Atlas. Watts is a skilled hacker and code manipulator.
  • Badass Bookworm: He typically aids Salem's cause through his intelligence and hacking skills, but when pushed into a corner he is perfectly capable of putting up a hell of a fight against the heroes.
  • Brains and Brawn: The Brains to Tyrian's Brawn.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Watts is aware that his mind is his best weapon and stacks the deck in his favor.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Dr. Watts isn't above using condescending sarcasm to address others.
  • Evil Is Petty: Shows shades of this with Albedo.
  • The Sociopath: Although Watts listens to Salem, he is prideful, holds himself in high esteem and openly disdains his allies. He will manipulate, maim, frame, and enable the murder of anyone to achieve his goals.
  • Wicked Cultured: He's a former Atlesian scholar and the most well-dressed and eloquent of Salem's inner circle, and even his revolver is adorned with ornate filigree.

    Tyrian Callows
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/tyrian_tipping_point.png
One of Salem's associates, a scorpion Faunus, who hunts down Ruby. Tyrian fights with The Queen's Servants, a pair of wrist gauntlets adorned with a pair of machine guns and razor-sharp blades. His Faunus trait - a scorpion tail- is also used in combat and can administer a deadly poison. His Semblance allows him to corrode Aura and bypass it to attack a foe directly.
  • Animal Motifs: Scorpions. He sits in a manner similar to an arachnid, his wrist-blades resemble a scorpion's pincers, and his ponytail looks like a segmented scorpion's tail. Just like his actual tail, which is a scorpion's tail, complete with stinger.
  • Arm Cannon: His wrist gauntlets have a pair of machine pistols mounted into each one.
  • Asshole Victim: This to Salem- after a "tantrum", Salem sends him to Breach's dollhouse.
  • Ax-Crazy: He's very eager to be given tasks that involve hunting down people.
  • Beware My Stinger Tail: He sports a scorpion tail with a wicked stinger at the end. However, it gets cut off by Ruby.
  • Blade Below the Shoulder: Tyrian fights with a pair of blades strapped to both forearms, resembling scorpion claws.
  • Blood Knight: While he primarily loves killing and maiming, the look on his face whenever he realizes he's faced with a challenge is pure glee.
  • Combat Sadomasochist: Tyrian enjoys violence and bloodshed and is a brutal fighter.
  • Evil Is Hammy: He spends much of his dialogue belting out wild peals of laughter, and nearly all of his dialogue is laden with verbose Purple Prose and dramatic gestures. Combined with his extremely expressive face and movements, he dominates most scenes he's in and treats the battlefield like it's an arena for a stage performance.
  • The Hyena: He's constantly laughing and giggling, even in situations where it'd normally be rather inappropriate, such as fighting or normal conversation. It helps to make his character even more unsettling.
  • Not Me This Time: Basically his reaction when Ben asks if he killed Max.
  • Scary Scorpions: He has a psychopathic interest in attacking people and the opportunity to kill reduces him to fits of laughter. He wears a long plait that takes the shape of a segmented scorpion tail and he sits in a manner similar to a crouching arachnid. When he fights, he uses wrist-blades that resemble a scorpion's pincers. Underneath his duster, he hides a long scorpion tail that looks almost exactly like his plait and reveals that he is a scorpion Faunus. When striking with the stinger, his eyes turn the same deep purple as the poison that's contained inside the stinger.
  • Slashed Throat: Left on many of his victims.
  • Villainous Breakdown: He does not his defeat well, going on a murder spree and even attacking Salem when she tells him to leave her sight.

    Mercury Black
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mercury_black_6.png
One of Salem's followers. Mercury is a laid-back man who frequently engages in friendly bickering. He fights primarily with his modified greaves named Talaria and has absolute confidence in his combat ability.
  • Arrogant Kung-Fu Guy: He's a kickboxer who fights his opponents with an arrogant and carefree attitude.
  • Combat Pragmatist: Seen to hold his own against Weiss.
  • Epic Fail: Tried to finish off Rook with his own Proto-Tool, but ended up tasering himself because he held it backward.
  • Evil Cripple: Has no legs.
  • Freudian Excuse: The abuse, near-fatal training, and theft of his semblance at the hands of his now-deceased father led to Mercury become a bitter and cruel person.
  • Handicapped Badass: Mercury has prosthetic legs from a fight to the death with his father, but this has only made him even more deadly in combat.
  • Jerkass: He is a smug, arrogant, and cruel punk who enjoys the carnage and misery he helps Cinder with. He is apathetic towards murder and tends to nonchalantly attack or kill others without much thought.
  • Sadist: Mercury enjoys hurting people and watching them suffer.
  • * Super-Reflexes: Mercury is faster than he looks. His legs are capable of combating some very fast actions his opponents take.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Cass. He constantly annoys her by trying to come onto her and being relatively lazier, but he does give her a good chuckle every now and then.

    Albedo
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/shot3.PNG
Azmuth's former assistant. A Galvan who made his own Omnitrix and took care of the intergalactic issues Ben couldn't take care of. He's on Earth to "study" why Ben chooses to remain on Earth and not spread out.
  • Adaptational Badass: Albedo is much more equipped to deal with Ben; his forms are "edited" in a sense, with his Humungousaur having his canonical Ultimate's "missile arm".
  • Adaptational Nice Guy: Him wishing to be a peacekeeper while being curious about Ben's choice to stay on earth is very different from his prime counterpart. Also, he's not outright hateful. Cool, calm and collected, and almost resigned to his new base body. He also seems to genuinely be friends with Neo, having apparently learned ASL to communicate with her. Later, he expresses nothing but disgust towards Servantis and his hypocrisy.
  • Adaptational Superpower Change: His Ultimate Galvan form in this story has the power to create minions based on his other transformations.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Is disgusted by Servantis's hypocritical actions, and even interferes with his campaign against Ben against Salem's orders.
  • Heel–Face Turn: He and Neo switch sides from Salem over to the good guys.
  • I Am Not Left-Handed: Ben only narrowly won their penultimate fight, and Albedo implies to Neo afterward that he was holding back...
  • Mook Maker: Can create minions based on his Ultimate forms.
  • Official Couple: With Neo.
  • Token Good Teammate: So far he seems to be one of the most genuinely moral members of Salem's group, even interfering with Servantis's plans against her orders.
  • Villainous Friendship: Seems to genuinely be friends with Neo, having even learned ASL to communicate with her.
  • Worf Had the Flu: Part of the reason Albedo did so poorly during his initial fights against the Team RWBY and Zeta Squadron members was because he's more used to fighting aliens in "formulated" attacks, taking advantage of their shared powers and weaknesses. Against humans, with their own fighting styles and weapons, he's less effective, it's noted that he does a lot better against Ben in his alien forms.

    Neopolitan
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/neopolitan_rwby.png
An acquaintance of Cinder Fall and bodyguard of Roman Torchwick who first appears when Albedo meets with the team for the first time.
  • Badass Adorable: She's short and could kill you.
  • Combat Stilettos: She doesn't seem hindered by her heels in battle.
  • Curtains Matchthe Window: Her hair and eyes are multicolored. The right side of her hair is pink with white streaks and the left side of her hair is brown. Her default eye color is reversed: the left eye is pink and the right eye is brown. However, she can switch the colors of her eyes at will. Sometimes her eyes perfectly match her hair (left eye brown, right eye pink), sometimes both eyes are pink, or brown, or white. She can even turn her eyes green or purple. However, her default eye color is always the reverse pink/brown combination of her hair.
  • Cute Mute: Speaks in ASL.
  • Dark Action Girl: If she's with Salem, she REALLY invokes this trope.
  • Heel–Face Turn: She expressly states this is what she and Albedo are doing.
  • In Love with Your Carnage: If she wasn't attracted to Albedo before he used his Ultimate forms to demolish some Grimm, she was afterwards.
  • Official Couple: With Albedo.
  • Silent Snarker: Her muteness in no way keeps her from snarking at Albedo, especially since they both know ASL.
  • Villainous Friendship: Seems to genuinely be friends with Albedo.

    Breach
A strange woman that works with Salem. It is unknown what Breach has to gain from this...but it's just creepy to know she's there.

    Forever Knight
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/668416de07ceeae7c7116e832990825b75799948r1_1080_598v2_hq.jpg
An armor-clad stranger that just recently joined Salem. No one knows who he is.
  • Adapted Out: The rest of the organization seems to have been removed from the fanfic, in favor of making the Forever Knight an independent antagonist with his own henchmen instead.
  • Canon Immigrant: Literally- implied to be the same Forever Knight from the reboot.
  • The Dragon: This to Salem- he was able to take on Ben, Ruby, Ceres, and Weiss with ease.
  • Expy: He hides in the shadows, is an incredibly effective fighter whenever he steps out to do things himself, and has a mysterious agenda based around recruiting young people...including tormenting the heroes. Sounds a lot like Slade, doesn't it?
  • The Faceless: Hides his face behind a knight mask.
  • Knight Templar: Given, due to his appearance.
  • Powered Armor: Wears this in combat.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Salem.
  • Villain Team-Up: With Salem.

    Servantis
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/human_proctor.png
The leader of the Black Ops wing of the Plumbers. He has a deep hatred for Ben Tennyson and his friends, to the point he'll try to discredit him.
  • Dirty Coward: He's not just afraid of what Ben could do if he misused his power, he's afraid of what Ben would do to him in particular.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Albedo manages to guess, apparently correctly, that the real reason that Servantis hates Ben so much is that he's jealous of how close Max was to him.
  • Hypocrite: Albedo calls Servantis out on how, despite his claiming to be motivated by fear of what the supposedly irresponsible Ben could do with the power the Omnitrix gives him, he doesn't fear Albedo the same way, despite having similar abilities and Galvan hyper-intelligence, and guesses that the real reason he hates Ben is because he's jealous of how the boy stole Max's attention away from him.
  • Moral Myopia: Servantis claims that Ben is irresponsible with and unworthy of a device as powerful as the Omnitrix, but is willing to use Psyphon's dangerous mutagenic "Crystal Dolphin" drug to take Ben down, which Ben calls him on.
  • Never My Fault: Even after he's captured, Servantis refuses to accept that he could have been wrong about Ben, tries to justify Max's death as necessary, and even tells Ben that he should have helped Vilgax when his refusal to send Vilgax aid when the Fulmini invaded Vilgax's homeworld led to Vilgax becoming a Fallen Hero after being tortured by the High Override.
  • Not-So-Well-Intentioned Extremist: Albedo, apparently correctly, manages to guess that the real reason Servantis hates Ben so much (or at least part of it), even to the point of allying with Salem to take him out and trying to pull a Frame-Up, isn't because Ben's irresponsible with his abilities (Albedo even calling Servantis out on the hypocrisy of how the Rooter doesn't have a problem with him despite having similar powers to Ben), but because he's jealous of how close Max was to Ben.
  • Psychological Projection: Azmuth attributes at least part of Servantis's hatred towards Ben to him doing this to the boy. For example, his criticism of not helping Vilgax seems to be drawn from Servantis refusing him Plumber aid when the Fulmini invaded, leading to Vilgax being tortured and becoming a Fallen Hero.
  • Smug Snake: Servantis does have some legitimate intelligence and powers, but his ego leads him to his defeat. Twice during his plot to Frame-Up Ben as dangerous, he has to think fast because he didn't anticipate how much the other Plumbers liked Ben and that they'd be willing to give the boy the benefit of the doubt instead of blindly accepting his "evidence". Then, when he tries to pull his illusion trick on Ben again, he fails because he didn't expect Ben to be able to use Blitzwolfer's nose to find the real him, and gets tricked into an Engineered Public Confession because he takes the time to give Ben a verbal dressing-down, not knowing that he could use the Omnitrix as a communications device to broadcast what he was saying to the rest of the base.
  • Stable Time Loop: As punishment for his crimes, Verdona, apparently at Azmuth's suggestion, has Ben use Clockwork to place him in one of his interrogations.
  • Villain Has a Point: Despite being a total Hypocrite, Azmuth tells him that he was right about one thing, that Ben was never meant to have the Omnitrix, Azmuth had intended it for Max, and it only bonded to Ben because he and Max shared DNA. At the same time though, he counters Servantis's claims that Ben isn't worthy of wielding the device, saying that he would have reclaimed it if that were truly the case.

Zs'skayr's Faction

    Zs'Skayr
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/GhostfreatTrue_3548.jpg
the Evil Overlord ruler of the system Anur Phaetos, and the Ectonurite who provided the DNA sample for Ben's alien form known as Ghostfreak. Due to his species, the Ectonurites, possessing the ability to retain their consciousness even in the slightest part of their DNA, Zs'Skayr's mind survived inside the Omnitrix. He's teamed with Salem for reasons unknown.
  • Enemy Without: Started out as one of Ben's aliens, until his consciousness slowly awakened and started to take over Ben's, eventually allowing him to escape the Omnitrix.
  • Grand Theft Me: His intention toward Ben, for revenge of being used as a "plaything".
  • No-Sell: He can't possess Ben in alien form due to the "hybrid DNA" or hunters due to Aura, at least when they're conscious. Ceres is similarly immune due to her powers, he doesn't even try to hijack her body.
  • Our Ghosts Are Different: Ectonurites are technically alive, for one thing (though their concept of life is different than that of most sentient beings).
  • Staying Alive: Well, he is a ghost-like alien.
  • Weak, but Skilled: Not really that weak, but his weakness to sunlight makes him easier to defeat in a straight fight.

    Lord Haslett
A follower of Zs'skayr who stalked the team during a weekend getaway.

    Zombozo

A mysterious Monster Clown who used to lead a Circus of Fear, making people laugh so he could use a machine to feed on their happiness while his minions were stealing the city.
  • Adaptational Badass: He gained a monstrous new form, akin to Green Goblin.
  • Body Horror: Midnight Madness has him look more zombie-like with his body rotting away.
  • Dark Is Evil: Commonly dresses in predominantly black attire.
  • Emotion Eater: As mentioned in his first appearance. He used to have severe depression. He tried making a machine that could control the emotions of other people, so they could understand how he felt. It fed off the positive energies of the person, and left them as a husk.
  • Humanoid Abomination: He mutates into a horrifying giant in his first appearance against Ben.
  • Mind Rape: Inflicted this to Ben in his first appearance by taking advantage on Ben's fear of clowns. Ben then payed him back using Ghostfreak.
  • Sad Clown: Implied to be this...at least, before his invention.

    Clancy

A mysterious, blue-skinned man with the ability to control arthropods.
  • Amazing Technicolor Population: He is blue.
  • Anti-Villain: Type II in his first appearance; while he was relying on murderous methods, all he wanted was to protect his home.
  • Beard of Evil: Shaped like mandibles, no less.
  • The Beastmaster: He has an empathetic link with arthropods and can use them for fighting purposes.
  • In the Hood: His typical attire before his mutation.
  • Roaring Rampage of Revenge: He initially was only trying to kill a councilwoman to prevent her from destroying his home. Bad, sure, but not that big of a threat. After Ben destroyed his home, killing many of his insect friends in the process, however, he attempts to nuke the whole city as a payback.
  • Villainous Breakdown: After Ben destroyed his house and killed many of his bugs.

    Steam Smythe

An old fashioned villain who focused on steampunk. Not so much as a threat than an annoyance, to be honest.
  • Alliterative Name: His machines run on steam, and his name is STEAM Smythe.
  • Born in the Wrong Century: As always. The narration describes him as the "baby boomer's baby boomer".
  • Double Standard: He HATES modern technology, but seeks out the weapons of deceased inventors.
  • Evil Brit: Speaks with a British accent.
  • Nostalgia Filter: Stubbornly flaunts the "superiority" of the past over the modern age. He overlooks the fact that all of the famous historical figures whose artifacts he seeks were people considered ahead of their time and responsible for pushing their present into the future and thus would never share his sentiments.
  • Steampunk: Pretty much all his weapons and gadgets run on steam.

    Fistrick

A punk criminal in Bellwood. He sells Roman some mechs.
  • Affably Evil: Remarkably friendly for a crook.
  • Badass Normal: He's human, yet he's able to hold his own against others.
  • Boisterous Bruiser: Loves to boast in battle.
  • The Brute: Acts as this to his employers, often someone to throw at an opponent to beat them up. Though he's a bit smarter than most.
  • Genius Bruiser: Given that he reverse-engineers and mass-produces alien technology, his intelligence must be above average.

    Adam Taurus
A White Fang member who worked alongside Blake. He was accidentally killed by Blake.
  • Adapted Out: Accidentally killed by Blake in this canon.
  • Animal Stereotypes: Apart from his implied bull heritage, he also "sees red" and seems unwilling to consider the views of others.
  • Ax-Crazy: Adam is a deranged anti-human terrorist dedicated to the enslavement of humanity.
  • Blood Knight: Implied.
  • Broken Pedestal: Adam was once seen as an icon of the movement to the White Fang's membership.
  • Cool Mask: He wears a distinctive white mask with red accents which resembles the white and red faces of the Grimm. The distinct design marks him as more important than the normal White Fang who wears plain white masks.
  • Death by Adaptation: Blake possibly killed him in self defense, by pushing him off the train in Forever Fall.
  • Dramatic Unmask: He removed the blindfold covering his eyes to reveal an SDC brand in his left eye, giving context to his obsession with revenge against humanity.
