Witch Covens

Hex Girls

    In General
  • Achievements in Ignorance: They never intended to become true witches. After Dusk proposed her friends get matching Henna tattoos based on a design she found in an old book, the symbol served as a summoning ritual which led the three of them to Elvira's house, becoming true witches practically by accident.
  • Adaptational Badass: In the original franchise they were simply goth girls with some connections to the supernatural, but here they're actual witches who make up a coven at the service of Elvira.
  • Adaptational Sexuality: In canon, their exact sexuality is unknown. Here, they're pansexual.
  • Beauty, Brains, and Brawn: Thorn is the Beauty, Dusk is the Brawn and Luna is the Brains.
  • Big Damn Heroes: They show up at the battle between Matthew Patel and Scott Pilgrim to put out Patel's flames and exorcise the Demon Hipster Chicks.
  • Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: Blonde (Dusk), Brunette (Thorn) and Redhead (Luna).
  • Cool People Rebel Against Authority: They originally began their coven as a way to rebel against the rules of St. Elias School for Girls that their parents had sent them to.
  • Extreme Omnisexual: All three of them are pansexual.
  • Friendly Fandoms: In-Universe. Their fandom gets along with fans of the Planeteers, since the Hex Girls call themselves Eco-Witches and believe they serve Gaia, rather than Elvira.
  • Goth Girls Know Magic: They use Goth imagery and each of them knows different types of magic.
  • The Hecate Sisters: Witch covens usually divide themselves on this roles, Thorn is usually the Lady, Dusk the Maiden and Luna the Crone.
  • Heroic Seductress: All three of them are master seductresses and are pretty fun people once you get to know them.
  • Hot Witch: They're actual witches and very attractive.
  • Named by the Adaptation: In canon the real names of Dusk and Luna were unknown, but here they're named Muffy St. James and Kim Moss, respectively.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: They usually call themselves by their coven names rather than their real names.
  • Took a Level in Badass: They went from normal goth girls to genuine witches after accidentally summoning Elvira.

    Thorn (Sarah "Sally" McKnight)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/thorn_earth_27.jpg

The lead singer, guitarist and face of the Hex Girls, as well as head of their Coven.

  • Beautiful Singing Voice: Her amazing singing voice is the reason why Luna and Dusk wanted to make her part of their band.
  • Clothing Reflects Personality: Sally went from a shy, reserved free-spirit who said her prayers every night to bold pansexual goth rocker practicing witchcraft, and her current outfit reflects that.
  • Cure Your Gays: Being caught by her father kissing another girl, she was sent by her father to St. Elias School for Girls, which had the exact opposite effect.
  • Dark Is Not Evil: She might dress in the more overly dark manner, but she's a friendly person and a witch that's a queer and girl-power icon.
  • The Face: Thorn is often described as the face of the Hex Girls. This goes beyond her position as the band's front-woman and lead singer.
  • Flower Motifs: Roses, Thorn's favorite flowers are roses.
  • Green Thumb: She mastered plant magic in a way to honor her name.
  • Hell-Bent for Leather: Wears an impressive red leather jacket.
  • The Leader: Not only she's the lead singer and guitarist of the Hex Girls, Thorn is also the Coven's Lady, a traditional position that makes her the leader between official coven meetings and also gives her the responsibility of handling relationships with other groups. Part leader, part diplomat, part hostess.
  • Lust: One of her major weaknesses is her lust.
  • Nonconformist Dyed Hair: Her brown hair is dyed black and red, representing her status as a nonconformist witch and pansexual icon.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Her parents Tyler and Teri McKnight and half-sister Maddie Van Horn are characters from the Smallville TV series.

    Dusk (Margaret "Muffy" St. James)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/dusk_earth_27.jpg

Drummer and backup singer of the Hex Girls, martial arts expert and easily the most hot-headed of the three.

  • Achievements in Ignorance: She proposed her friends get matching Henna tattoos based on a design she found in an old book, the symbol served as a summoning ritual which led the three of them to Elvira's house, becoming true witches practically by accident.
  • All Drummers Are Animals: She's the drummer of the Hex Girls and one of her weaknesses is her temper, being the fiercest among the group.
  • Book Dumb: She has no interest in higher education and barely passed high school.
  • Food as Bribe: Muffy claims to lack the ability to say "no" to one thing: Snickerdoodles.
  • Girlish Pigtails: Her style of choice.
  • Hot-Blooded: Muffy is rarely more excited than when she has a conflict in front of her. She gets very jazzed by band battles or if she gets to wear her war paint.
  • Kung-Fu Wizard: Dusk is the coven's martial expert. She has no formal fighting style, but that does not mean she is not dangerous. Dusk uses her magic and rage to startling effect.
  • Meaningful Name: Muffy's coven name Dusk was meant to reference something beautiful with a sense of finality.
  • Parental Neglect: Her parents used her as a pawn or a trophy during their lengthy divorce, which made her a rebel that got in trouble for attention.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Her father William St. James is the National Security agent from Harley Quinn Vol 1. Through her mother Mary St. James, she's the niece of Dian Belmont of The Society.
  • Those Two Girls: That's how her relationship with Luna began until they added Thorn and became a team of three (With a Friend and a Stranger).
  • Wrath: One of her major weaknesses is her wrath.

    Luna (Kimberly "Kim" Moss)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/luna_earth_27.jpg

Bassist, keyboardist and pianist of the Hex Girls, Luna is usually the mature and reserved member of the group.

  • Greed: One of her major weaknesses is her greed.
  • The Heart: Her naturally serene and patient persona makes her easily the calmest of the three witches. For this reason, she prefers to play the role of the Crone in their coven.
  • Hell-Bent for Leather: Like Thorn, she dresses in leather.
  • Hidden Depths:
    • Kim's father is a dentist and is responsible for the cosmetic veneer fangs which have become part of the Hex Girls' signature look.
    • Kim is a bit of a foodie. She's always open to trying new food and does not mind spending extra to get the best quality food.
    • Kim is the band's primary songwriter, having a real head for music.
  • Hiding Behind Your Bangs: Her hair covers her left eye.
  • Meaningful Name: Her coven name came about as a reference to her nocturnal personality.
  • Nobody Loves the Bassist: She might be the bassist of the band, but she's also the one who writes the songs, even if she sings and speaks the least.
  • The Quiet One: She usually sings the least and speaks the least during their public performances.
  • Related in the Adaptation: Her mother Sarah Moss is a character from the Action Comics.
    • And through her mother she's also the half-sister of Max West/Kid Mercury from the Titans and the Flash Family.
  • Ship Tease: Luna and Gi Moon from the Planeteers were seen dining together, heavily implying they're interested in each other.
  • Statuesque Stunner: Tallest of the Hex Girls at 5'9"/175cm tall.
  • Those Two Girls: That's how her relationship with Dusk began until they added Thorn and became a Power Trio.

Grand Coven

The Grand Coven are a congregation of witches in the service of Lucifer Morningstar. After Lucifer vacated the throne of Hell, the ownership of its contracts passed to his daughter Aradia.
    In General
  • Hot Witch: All three of them are witches and smoking hot.
  • The Mentor: Rowena, Lourdes and Thessaly were all Elsa Grimston's mentors back when she was part of the coven.
  • Really 700 Years Old: All of them are thousands of years old but incredibly youthful looking.
  • Spell My Name with a "The": Since its original members never gave their true names, they were referred to as "The" [Location of Origin].
  • Team Member in the Adaptation: Neither Thessaly nor Lourdes even interacted with each other in canon, and here all three witches are part of the Grand Coven.

    Rowena MacLeod
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rowena_macleod_earth_27.jpg
Rowena MacLeod, once known as The Caledonian, is a founding member of the Grand Coven, the oldest witch coven on Earth, who served Lucifer Morningstar and now serve his daughter Aradia.
  • Absurdly Youthful Mother: Due to being a witch, she looks much younger than her already ancient son Crowley.
  • Age Lift: In the show she was at least 300 years old, here she's over 210,000 years old.
  • Alchemy Is Magic: Rowena is a legendary brewer of potions. To this day, her potions are highly sought out by occultists. Many master alchemists are still puzzled by how Rowena imparts such potency in all of her creations.
  • Aura Vision: Rowena is a very talented judge of character, having a refined insight into the auras of those around her. With a few moments to read an aura, Rowena might as well have read your mind and plucked it of all its juicy details.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Rowena remains a loving mother and still has deep affection for her children, even those she had killed. Rumor is she has hopes for better relationships with grandchildren and looks after their well-being (even when they unaware of her).
  • Evil Matriarch: For Crowley. Her other son Eric Morden doesn't like her either.
  • Famed In-Story: Every witch worth their warts knows the name of Rowena MacLeod and they likely can recognize her aura without ever meeting her before due to the stain left on her by her traitorous son.
  • Healing Hands: Rowena is known to be an accomplished magical healer, though if you come to her in desperate need for medical care, prepare to pay a steep price for her services as she knows that people in such dire situations can be changed much more.
  • The Hecate Sisters: The Crone and coven chief to Thessaly's Maid and Lourdes' Lady.
  • I Have Many Names: Acilia, Bastard Queen, Traitor's Teats, Warlock's Womb, The Caledonian.
  • Immortality: Rowena practices a variety of rituals and techniques to sustain her life. Without further magical intervention, her magic-infused blood would sustain her life for several decades without aging a day, but once a century or so she must find means to escape the harsh limits of her actual age. Her currently preferred method is the tried and true practice of ritual blood baths done once a month.
  • Never My Fault: She feels betrayed by Crowley, even when she was blatantly manipulating him for most of his life.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: Just like Thessaly and Maggie Carpenter, Rowena is just her favored alias. She's known as The Caledonian, which is the region where she first came from.
  • Playing with Fire: Rowena can manipulate fire like other people breathe. It is second nature to her and done with incredible proficiency. Rowena has said before that this magic was the first to study as it kept her alive in a time when the world was of little more than ice and snow.
  • Related in the Adaptation: She's also the mother of Eric Morden/Mr. Nobody, making her grandmother of Terry None and great-grandmother of Mikey Milk.
  • Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: Has green eyes, red hair and is one of the most ancient witches in the world.
  • Soul Power: Though witches are usually not permitted to practice soul magic, as most demons prefer their witches to not have such power, Rowena is the exception (and is probably the reason why that rule became a thing).
  • Telekinesis: Rowena can manipulate the Od to move objects with mental direction. She can use this as a offensive weapon, propelling objects at her foes or even knocking them over with a wave of telekinetic thrust.

    Encantadora (Lourdes Lucero)
  • Age Lift: She's much older than in the comics, being a contemporary of Rowena and Thessaly.
  • The Hecate Sisters: The Lady to Thessaly's Maid and Rowena's Crone.

    The Corinthian

The Baba Yaga

    In General
  • Blonde, Brunette, Redhead: Lumi (white), Gothel (brunette) and Tsaritsa (redhead).
  • Extreme Omnisexual: All three witches are pansexual, while Carabosse is omnisexual.
  • God Save Us from the Queen!: All three of them became queens at one point of their stories and their subjects suffered.
  • The Heavy: They are, or were, a constant antagonistic presence in the backstories of many Fables across the Homelands.
  • Wicked Witch: All of them are ruthless sorceresses that are the villains of their respective stories. Two of them were even literally called Wicked Witches.

    Carabosse
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/carabosse_earth_27.jpg

The Wicked Fairy Godmother is a classic character from fairy tales. She's also the leader of the coven of the Baba Yaga and its Coven Mother.

  • Achilles' Heel: Like all Noble Fae, she's vulnerable to Cold Iron.
  • Arachnid Appearance and Attire: Her dress is full of webbing designs.
  • Curse: She cursed Vindemia so she wouldn't be able to give birth to a daughter, and in return Vindemia cursed her to be unable to find true love. So far both curses have stayed.
  • Curtains Match the Windows: Orange hair and orange eyes.
  • Disproportionate Retribution: She turned Mathis Leonblanc into a Beast because she felt slighted by the way his envoys escorted her to his kingdom.
  • Evil Mentor: Essentially her role as Coven mother of the Baba Yaga.
  • Extreme Omnisexual: Like Vindemia she's unsurprisingly omnisexual.
  • The Fair Folk: Former court mage of the Unseelie Court and a good representation of the dangers of dealing with the Fae.
  • Fairy Godmother: Just like Vindemia, she's the godmother and matron of the Baba Yaga; Lumi, Tsaritsa and Gothel.
  • Greater-Scope Villain: Being the mentor of the current Baba Yaga trio means she's indirectly responsible for most of what's happened to many people across the Homelands. One of the few times she was directly responsible for a story is when she cursed Mathis Leonblanc into a Beast for feeling slighted.
  • Hoist by His Own Petard: When she tried to attack Briar Rose with entropic magic, her wards repelled it and the excess magic struck the chain of a chandelier, which fell down upon Carabosse, leaving her horribly maimed.
  • I Have Many Names: Wicked Lady, Cara the Wicked, Hadeon the Destroyer, Orange Fairy, Wicked Fairy Godmother and Witch of the Wicked Woods.
  • Orange/Blue Contrast: Her orange hair, orange eyes and orange and black dress contrasts quite well with Vindemia's blue.
  • Persona Non Grata: When her dealings with the Sheeda were exposed, Carabosse was expelled from the Unseelie. She was furthered punished by having her wings crippled, stripped of clothing and all personal possessions, and abandoned in the wastes of Hell.
  • Psychic Link: Has one between her and her goddaughters.
  • Related in the Adaptation: She's the godmother of Mother Gothel, Tsaritsa and Lumi the Snow Queen, who make up the Baba Yaga. Crowley is her former lover and Charaxes is her son.
  • We Used to Be Friends: She and Vindemia were once close friends and even young lovers, until their rivalry got so heated they cursed each other with their respective True Names, and remain arch-enemies after centuries.

    Queen of Fables (Tsaritsa)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/queen_tsaritsa_earth_27.jpg

The Evil Queen of Fairy Tales and the Wicked Stepmother of Snow White and Rose Red.

  • Adaptation Dye-Job: Instead of gold and red, her outfit is green and silver.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Tsara and Mrs. Nobody.
  • Big Bad Ensemble: She made an alliance with the Sheeda so she wouldn't be removed by the Dwarven Rebellion, invading the other realms of the Homelands.
  • Composite Character: The Evil Queen from the Fableverse is combined with the Queen of Fables from the DCU.
  • Cool Crown: The Sheeda gave her her own silver crown, but it had the effect of twisting her appearance and driving her insane.
  • Evil Redhead: Like her stepdaughter Rose Red she's a redhead, but completely evil and insane.
  • Facial Markings: Has a heart bellow her left eye.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: She was just a nameless orphan from the Rus in the Homelands, until she came across a cabin belonging to Carabosse, who trapped her in a mirror for years until she freed her and taught her all about the dark arts.
  • God Save Us from the Queen!: She calls herself the Queen of Fables, and she's a very dangerous foe, not only towards other Fables, but to the mundane world as well.
  • I Have Many Names: So many she probably doesn't remember them all; Clara Morden, Evil Queen, Evil Queen Tsaritsa, Mage of the Mirror, Mirror Queen, Petaled Prisoner, Philipp's Poison, Poisoned Beauty, Poisoned Rose, Queen Bitch, Queen of Dada, Queen of Nada, Queen of Mirrors, Queen of the Silver Realm, Queen of Thorns, Rose of Lotharin, Rose Queen, Rose Sorceress, Silver Queen, Silver Usurper, Tyrant of Thorns, Usurper of Lotharin.

  • Unholy Matrimony: With Eric Morden/Mr. Nobody. Currently they are still married but separated.
  • The Usurper: Murdered her husband King Philip and sunk his kingdom into a Civil War.
  • Wedding Smashers: Thinking she had found Snow White in a glamour disguise, Tsaritsa crashed Diana and Steve Trevor's wedding.
  • Wicked Stepmother: She's literally the archetype of the evil stepmother.
  • Wicked Witch: Comes with being taught by the evil fairy Carabosse and being a member of the Baba Yaga.

    Mother Gothel
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mother_gothel_earth_27.jpg

  • Adaptational Attractiveness: Looks much younger and beautiful than in the comics, far more similar to her appearance as Bellflower from canon, and certainly not as ugly as the appearance from the Wizard of Oz.
  • Adaptational Villainy: Granted, in Fables canon, Frau Totenkinder had undergone a Hazy-Feel Turn- officially, she's on the side of the heroes, but she's still prone to doing dodgy things- but here, she's still as evil as she ever was.
  • Adaptation Name Change: Rather than Frau Totenkinder, her name is Gothel. Frau Totenkinder is one of her titles instead.
  • Brainy Brunette: Brown haired and she's a witch with centuries of experience.
  • Composite Character: The witch from the Frog Prince, Rapunzel and Hansel and Gretel's story is also combined with Cinderella's stepmother, the "grandmother" from Red Riding Hood's and the Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz.
  • Evil Mentor: Made Gretel her apprentice and intended to make her sacrifice her brother Hansel to turn her into a member of the Baba Yaga, only for Hansel to snap his sister out of the trance, turning the ritual against the witches and allowing her to escape.
  • Fingore: Just as she intended to gag Hansel for his ritual sacrifice, he bit her on the finger.
  • From Nobody to Nightmare: Like Tsaritsa, she began as just a refugee from a foreign war who was trained by Carabosse in the magical arts.
  • Hell-Bent for Leather: Her current outfit is a black and purple leather coat.
  • Hot Witch: She's a witch and very much attractive.
  • I Have Many Names: Frau Totenkinder, Iphigenia Rhodes, Wicked Witch of the West, Wretched Witch of the Woods.
  • Laser-Guided Karma: In practically all of her stories she gets comeuppance for her actions; killed Rapunzel's parents and imprisoned her in a tower, Rapunzel destroyed the tower and Gothel barely survived. Tried to sacrifice Hansel, he fought back and Gretel ruined the ritual. Married and killed Cinderella's father and treated her like a servant, only for Prince Charming to condemn her and her daughters into servitude for their treatment of his wife. And after she had fled to another dimension and taken over Oz, she was defeated by Dorothy Gale.
  • Not Quite Dead: She was almost blown up by Rapunzel when she detonated her hair to destroy the tower she was imprisoned at, but she managed to survive.
  • Parental Abandonment: She managed to escape Prince Charming's punishment, but she left her daughters Clorinda and Tisbe behind.
  • Purple Is Powerful: Her clothes have purple in it and she's one of the most dangerous magic users out there.
  • Red Baron: Mad Mother.
  • Related in the Adaptation: She's the goddaughter of Carabosse, making her coven sister of Lumi and Tsaritsa. She's also the stepmother of Cinderella, which makes her daughters Clorinda and Tisbe Cindy's stepsisters.
  • Vain Sorceress: One of her weaknesses is her vanity.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: Holy Water, which is how Dorothy Gale defeated her.
  • Wicked Stepmother: She's the original Wicked Stepmother.
  • Wicked Witch: As expected from the witch from Rapunzel and Hansel and Gretel's story, as well as the Wicked Witch of the West.

    Lumi the Snow Queen
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lumi_earth_27.jpg
The Snow Queen, the Spirit of Winter and the eldest child of Lilith and Boreas.
  • An Ice Person: As expected from the Snow Queen, she has full control over ice, snow and winds.
  • An Ice Suit: Besides a fur coat, all she wears is a small dress that leaves her shoulders, cleavage and legs exposed. Due to practically embodying winter and being a seductress, she hardly minds.
  • Composite Character: The classical Snow Queen is combined with Jadis the White Witch from The Chronicles of Narnia.
  • The Empire: She, alongside her sisters Kesa, Syksy and Kevat, used their powers to take over four smaller kingdoms and reclaim the Land of the North Wind that once belonged to their father, creating the empire of Ultima Thule.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: Her son Jack Frost is one of the few people she truly cares about.
  • Femme Fatale: She's considered a legendary seductress thanks to being trained by her mother Lilith, and she sure knows how to use her charms to get what she wants.
  • I Have Many Names: Lumi Njörðrdóttir is her birth name and she has many titles and aliases like Ice Cold, Ice Queen, Lumi Northwind, Lumi Claus, Jadis, Mama Frost, Miss Frozen Britches, Queen of the North, Snow Bunny, Winter Witch, Witch with a Heart of Cold.
  • Ice Queen: Besides literally being one of her titles, she has always been calculating and methodical.

  • Logical Weakness: She's vulnerable to extreme heat. Also, her powers are weaker on warm climates.
  • Meaningful Name: Lumi is a Finnish word for snow.
  • Mystical White Hair: White-blue hair and she's practically the embodiment of winter.
  • Parental Abandonment: Being reminded of her lover Jack Horner's betrayal and his eventual escape made her abandon her son and her sisters to the Sheeda invasion, and so far their relationship is estranged at best.
  • Pretty in Mink: She likes to wear fur to show off her status.
  • Privileged Rival: While Gothel was an orphan who came from nothing until she met Carabosse, Lumi was born as the daughter of the Mother of Monsters, trained in the art of seduction and who only sought Carabosse to increase her own power. Her success made Gothel resent her a bit.
  • Related in the Adaptation: She's the sister of Bigby Wolf and his brothers, the daughter of Boreas and Lilith, and goddaughter of Carabosse.
  • Semi-Divine: Daughter of the god Boreas and of Lilith, Mother of Monsters.
  • Unknown Rival: Her success as conqueror and empress upset Gothel, but Lumi paid no mind to her coven sister's feelings.
  • Winter Royal Lady: Her title is the Snow Queen and Empress of Ultima Thule.
  • Woman Scorned: Jack Horner tried to steal her power over winter shortly after she gave birth to their son, and when Horner escaped thanks to his sister Jill, Lumi couldn't handle it, becoming far more distant towards her son Jack Frost.

    Mother Rigby
Goody Rigby, better known at the Wicked Witch of the East. A former member of the Baba Yaga, she was one of the four witches who held dominion over the Land of Oz. She was killed by Dorothy Gale when trying to sacrifice her due to her faerie blood.
  • Adaptation Origin Connection: In the original story the Witch had no connection to the creation of the Scarecrow, but here he was brought to life by Rigby in order to serve as her sentry and servant. She's also the one who ordered the torture of Nick Chopper, which would lead to him becoming the Tin Woodsman. And she was also one of the witches who physically and psychologically tormented Benroy the lion.
  • Asshole Victim: No one was sorry for Rigby when Dorothy stabbed her with Hansel's dagger.
  • Bad Boss: When Feathertop wanted to be free and be with his love, she removed his pipe that allows him to move and forced him to watch as she and other witches sacrificed and devoured the girl. She also tortured and mutilated Nick Chopper for wanting to be free from her services.
  • Composite Character: The Wicked Witch of the East from The Wizard of Oz is combined with Mother Rigby from Nathaniel Hawthorne's Feathertop.
  • Karmic Death: She was stabbed by Dorothy Gale, the same girl she was trying to sacrifice in order to obtain power from her blood.
  • Posthumous Character: Just like in the original story, the witch is already dead by the present day.
  • Resignations Not Accepted: As the Scarecrow and the Woodsman found out, Rigby doesn't tolerate people trying to leave her service.
  • Wicked Witch: Her moniker is literally the Wicked Witch of the East.

  • Missing Mom: His adopted mother Janet Gallagher was killed when he was six months old on the ritual that turned him into a Cambion.

Coven of the Witching Hour

    In General
  • The Hecate Sisters: As expected from a witch coven, they have this roles; Elsa as the Crone, Kara is the Mother and Sook is the Maiden.
  • Magical Eye: While making eye contact with another, they can weave powerful magic that mirrors the effects of potent psychic abilities, such a mind reading, memory alteration, mind control, or possession. In layman's terms, this magical discipline shared among its Crone, Mother, and Maiden that the coven draws its name.
  • Magically-Binding Contract: Though all three retain possession of their souls, it is owned by their infernal benefactor, Lucifer Morningstar. They cannot act against him directly and can be summoned to him at any moment. As a result of this magical contract, there are some magics that cannot affect them without Lucifer's permission.
  • Mark of the Supernatural: All three of them have unusual eye colors and each can use Iridomancy, or the art of eye magic.

    Elsa Grimston
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/elsa_grimston__earth_27__commission_by_phil_cho_df4qwpv_fullview.jpg
  • The Ageless: Elsa has lived for nearly five hundred years without aging beyond the equivalent of an adult human woman in her prime. She does not suffer the rigors of aging, nor the effects of most disease or illness.
  • Age Lift: In the comics she was born in the 1950s, but here she was born in 1555, making her over four hundred years older.
  • Aura Vision: Elsa is an exceptional reader of auras. The longer she has time to study their aura, the more intimate knowledge she can glean from their aura. More practitioners of this craft only hone their visual assessment, but Elsa has extended her mastery to include aura reading using her other senses as well.

  • What the Hell Is That Accent?: Other workers at the Oblivion Bar have actually wondered where her accent is from, since it sounds like a combination of Vlatavan, Moldavian and Markovian. Considering she was born in ancient times where all three nations weren't really separate, it's no surprise her accent is odd.
