The Oblivion Bar is a bar for sorcerers, mages and other magic users. It has the ability to appear as if it moves around due to it being located within its own pocket dimension. It is owned and run by Lucifer Morningstar.

    In General
  • Composite Character: This establishment is a combination of Oblivion Bar and Lux. In the comics, Oblivion Bar was the base of the Shadowpact, and Lux was the name of Lucifer's bar.
  • Pocket Dimension: The Oblivion Bar is in a pocket dimension. It doesn't move. However its doors are portals that bend space all over the place. It is connected to somewhere in every major city and others in remote locations.
  • Truce Zone: The bar is protected by a master sigil written in Mazikeen's blood. The sigil specifies who can enter the bar and enforces the "No-Fight" rule. The sigil can be modified to specify who is welcome.
  • Trust Password: To enter the Oblivion Bar, you have to say 'Oblivio' (latin word for forgetting) to a Door of Destination, but it only works for first time visitors. To get inside again you need to have a membership or use a special matchbook.

    Lucifer Morningstar
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/lucifer__winged__e27_by_roysovitch_dez473n_fullview.jpg

Once the most powerful and most beautiful of all angels in existence and one of two fictionally accredited with the creation of Earth 27, Lucifer was sent by The Presence to rule over Hell after he rebelled. In the year, 1983, Lucifer chose to leave Hell, being bored of ruling the infernal realm. Only one demon asked to join him in his self-exile: Mazikeen. Together, the two opened a nightclub in Los Angeles. But less than five years after its opening, an intrinsic explosion threatened to destroy his club. Lucifer exercised his power, preserving it inside a pocket dimension where it remains to this day. Now called the Oblivion Bar, it caters to those who can find it, whether it be someone like John Constantine or someone like Trigon, and if they agree to abide by its strict rules of neutrality.

Lucifer is a victim of the centuries-old argument of Free Will vs Destiny and that basically ruined his relationship with his siblings, though he is on good terms with a few of them, including Saraqueal. He is basically the man behind the scenes, to the point where he has made deals with everyone from Mother Gothel to Jason Todd.

  • Abdicate the Throne: Resigned as monarch of Hell during the 1980s and gave his place to Dream of the Endless in order to start a new life and get married to Mazikeen.
  • Affably Evil: Lucifer is perpetually cheerful and smarmy and constantly insists that his role has been twisted and blown out of proportion over the ages. He's actually disappointed when people he likes give into their baser urges.
  • Affectionate Nickname: Luci, Luc, Lulu.
  • Badass in a Nice Suit: Lucifer is always sharply dressed and ready to scrap at a moment's notice.
  • Benevolent Boss: He's a pretty nice employer, treating those that work for him at the Oblivion Bar almost like family.
  • Composite Character: While his appearance is based on the comics, his personality is taken straight from Lucifer (2016) TV series.
  • Cool Uncle: Seems to take this role towards his niece Elaine, taking care of her and giving her advice.
  • Deal with the Devil: Regularly invokes these with people, though not over souls. He does favors for people at the price of a favor he can call in down the road.
  • Demon Lords and Archdevils: He's the strongest Devil and the ruler of Hell, of whom all other lesser demons and devils ultimately answer.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Lucifer retains essentially the same standards as in the comics. In particular, he is absolutely honest and particularly loathes hypocrites.
  • Extreme Omnisexual: He's officially Pansexual.
  • Fallen Angel: He's The Fallen Angel. The very first angel who rebelled against The Presence and was cast down from Heaven.
  • Good Scars, Evil Scars: The scar on his face was caused by Mazikeen. She slashed him and promised him to be with him as long as he keeps the scar.
  • I Have Many Names: Samael, Adversary, Old Scratch, The Devil, Lightbringer, Atse'Hashke, The Mocker, Helel.
  • Immortality Promiscuity: He's billions of years old, pansexual and used to have a Royal Harem in Hell, and even nowadays he has no problem sleeping with whoever is willing.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Troll, favors Pay Evil unto Evil as per his occupation, often very self-centered, but is actually an incredibly kind man. Who knew the Devil could be a good man?
  • Massive Numbered Siblings: He's the True Sibling of Michael Demiurgos, Gabriel, Raphael, Saraquael, Uriel, and Raguel.
  • The Older Immortal: He's the oldest of all angels, being born on the First Day of Creation.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: If you see Lucifer panicking, then you know things are serious or are about to get serious, since beings like Trigon or the Anti-Monitor just make him yawn.
  • Satan Is Good: Lucifer is self-centered, not very good at controlling his temper and perhaps a little too into being The Gadfly, but he's otherwise a decent person. His only interest in evil is bringing it to justice.
  • Unholy Matrimony: He and Mazikeen have one, by virtue of being unholy beings in the first place. Lucifer's wedding gift was giving Mazikeen a pleasing face and she retaliated by giving him a deep slash across the face. As Lucifer moved to heal himself, Mazikeen promised him that as long as he kept the scar, she would be his.
  • Will Not Tell a Lie: If there's one thing he's proud of, is that he hates lying and liars. Mazikeen claims he's just a Bad Liar.
  • Time Abyss: Being the eldest child of Erebus and Eden, he's billions of years older than even the oldest mortals.

    Mazikeen
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mazikeen_earth27_3.jpg

Mazikeen is the daughter of Lilith and Lucifer's lover.

  • Big Damn Heroes: She rescued Boris and Alex from Fingermen custody after they had been arrested, slaughtering the Fingers before they could even react.
  • Blade Enthusiast: Has a marked fondness for blade weapons, daggers in particular. Her favorites seem to be a pair of hell-forged curved daggers that, contrary to earthly weapons, can wound and even kill celestial beings. She's often seen toying with them when her hands don't have anything better to do.
  • Composite Character: She retains her appearance from the comics, and starts off with one half of her face being that of an attractive woman, with the other half being a decaying skull, while her personality is from Lucifer.
  • Dark Action Girl: Being Lucifer's bodyguard, a demon, and a total badass.
  • Even Evil Has Loved Ones: She's a vicious, almost completely amoral demon who really enjoys hurting humans, but there are a few persons she honestly cares about. The roster always included Lucifer no matter how nastily they treat each other.
  • Everyone Is Related: Through the many spirit siblings of her mother Lilith, she's the cousin of Etrigan, Senael and Elaine Belloc.
  • Glamour: She can actually hide half her face and make it look normal, and change it at will.
  • Hidden Depths: Just because she's a Hell demon who takes glee in torturing people, doesn't mean she has no feelings of her own.
  • Shipper on Deck: She thought Boris and Alex had great chemistry together, so she rescued them and took them to the Oblivion Bar, also making them hers and Lucifer's concubines.
  • The Soulless: Being a demon, Maze doesn't have a soul. It not only sets her apart from humans and even angels, it also means that if she ever gets killed, she'll be Deader than Dead since there's nothing of her that could be brought back from either Heaven or Hell.
  • Torture Technician: Seems to have been her primary job in Hell, and she's still very much into inflicting (and suffering) pain whenever possible.
  • Two-Faced: Mazikeen does indeed have the same half Nightmare Face as in the comics underneath her mask.
  • The Vamp: Really enjoys flirting with people to get their guard down.

    Elaine Belloc
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/1000000370_19201920.jpg

The daughter of Archangel Michael, who's under the guardianship of her uncle Lucifer. Also a student of Mystik U.

  • Acting Your Intellectual Age: Despite the endowment of her conception making her a fully biological archangel, Elaine's mind, body, and personality are subject to mortal rates of maturity and development limiting her power during her youth. It is likely she will overcome this with time, likely when her age exceeds that of mortal capability.
  • Ambiguously Bi: She's actually figuring out about her sexual orientation. A later file reveals she's pansexual, like her uncle Lucifer.
  • Angel Unaware: She didn't know she was an angel during her first years of life.
  • Arbitrary Skepticism: She doesn't believe in Santa Claus, despite him giving her a present one time. Lucifer plans to bring her to the North Pole to prove he's real.
  • Dirty Mind-Reading: Considering who her guardians are, is no surprise she has seen some things.
  • Happily Adopted: By Lucifer and Mazikeen.
  • Hellbent For Leather: Ironically for the daughter of an archangel, she likes dressing in leather, including a leather jacket and corset.
  • Irony: Her mother Barbara Belloc was a very religious woman (which is why Michael was attracted to her), and she grew atheist until she found out she was an angel. Michael does find the irony rather amusing.
  • I See Dead People: She can speak and also summon the spirits of the dead.
  • It's All About Me: Elaine tends to think the world revolves around her. She often does not consider others' perspectives ar emotions when she makes her decisions. Likewise, Elaine puts her own needs and desires above those of others.
  • Lady Swears-a-Lot: She doesn't have many kind words when she finally meets up with her father.
  • Mind Reading: One of her innate abilities. Elaine is able to read the surface thoughts of mortal beings. With some effort, Elaine is also able to transmit information into another person's mind, causing them to hear the transmission in their own internal voice.
  • Of Corsets Sexy: For her enhanced look she adds a green leather corset.
  • Official Couple: She's dating Pugsley Addams, of all people.
  • Science Hero: Elaine is naturally adept at science - particularly the natural sciences. Upon learning she was an angel, Elaine realized that her gift for science was actually part of the archangels' aptitude for creation. Though Elaine does not yet have a full understanding of this ability, she improves every year. Even at her current state, she has extensive mastery over the disciplines of anatomy, biology, chemistry, physics, thermodynamics, and zoology — just to name a few.
  • Stronger Than They Look: Elaine is much stronger than she would seem. Likewise, she is more resilient, agile, durable, and coordinated at levels than most mortals are even capable.
  • Summon Magic: Though Elaine has less knowledge of supernal sorcery, due to lacking a mentor, she does have some innate magical powers — such the ability to summon ephemeral beings to her location, provided she has some familiarity with them.
  • Supernatural Gold Eyes: Inherited the same amber eyes as her father Michael.
  • Team Member in the Adaptation: In the comics Elaine isn't related to other hero groups, but here she's a student of Mystik U.
  • Vapor Wear: The way her corset is open shows she's not wearing anything underneath.
  • Wise Beyond Their Years: Very young but has learned a lot about the world.
  • Youthful Freckles: She has them and is currently the youngest Archangel.

    Jill Presto
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/jill_presto__earth_27__commission_by_phil_cho_df0ludd_fullview.jpg

Jillian Bethany Peterson is an aspiring magician and cabaret star who works at the Oblivion Bar as a entertainer, bartender and hostess. Mother of Noema and Eikon Presto.

  • Curtains Match the Window: She has average brown hair and eyes.
  • Demonic Possession: She was possessed by an ancient demon sealed within a Tarot deck by Lucifer Morningstar, who compelled her to do evil and kill everyone in her path until Lucifer purged the demon from her and reincarnated it as her daughter Noema.
  • Hypercompetent Sidekick: She was far more competent than the magician she started her career with, and that was without that much magical power and training.
  • Interspecies Romance: She's a human in a relationship with a Jötunn.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Her work outfit is essentially a pink leotard and a magician's jacket, showing her legs and some cleavage.
  • Related in the Adaptation: She's the daughter of Nils and Glyn Peterson, and half-sister of Henry James, all characters from Vertigo's Exterminators. Her sister is Karen Peterson, the next door neighbor of Jack and Jill Jordan.
  • Sex Magic: Lucifer saved her life with a ritual that used sex to bound the demon and reincarnate it in her womb as her daughter Noema. Despite the ritual Lucifer doesn't consider himself Noema's actual father.
  • Stage Magician: Her job at the Oblivion Bar. Even in a bar for supernatural patrons, she's actually very good in her craft.
  • Stage Name: Jill Presto is just her stage name, her actual name is Jill Peterson.

    Bergelmir
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/bergelmir_earth_27.jpg

The youngest and smallest of Jötuns, or Frost Giants, who works for Lucifer at the Oblivion Bar. Father of Jill's second child Eikon Presto.

  • Adaptation Dye-Job: In the comics he had brown hair, but here he has pale blonde hair, which represents his connection to ice and Norse mythology.
  • Adaptational Hairstyle Change: His appearance in the comics had a full head of hair and was clean shaven, but here he has a full beard and his hair is in some sort of mohawk.
  • The Berserker: Bergelmir, like many Jötnar, was expected to be an accomplished warrior. He proved his mettle when he stormed the Tower of Dis and slaughtered many demons. His fighting style is best described as a berserker rage, a frantic frenzy of madness and murder.
  • The Big Guy: He might be short for a giant, but he's still the tallest person working at the Oblivion Bar, even taller than Boris at an impressive 8'3"/2.5m tall.
  • Bodyguard Crush: He was assigned by Lucifer to keep an eye on Jill during her demonic pregnancy, and he eventually fell in love with her, wanting to form a family with her.
  • Braids of Action: A full and braided beard, and as a giant he's certainly no stranger to action.
  • Carpet of Virility: His hairy chest is on full display.
  • Desperately Looking for a Purpose in Life: Lucifer realized he wanted a purpose ever since he became unable to avenge his family, so after leaving Hell and letting Bergelmir "cool off" in the Void for some time, he assigned her to guard Jill Presto while she was pregnant. They would end up falling in love and become a family.
  • Everyone Is Related: As one of the main progenitors of the Jötnar, he's the grandfather of Laufey and great-grandfather of Loki.
  • Faster Than They Look: Bergelmir can move at incredible speeds in short bursts. This often startles those who are unaware of this ability due to Bergelmir's size and typically slower pace.
  • Good Stepmother: He cares about Jill's daughter Noema just as much as he cares about their son Eikon.
  • Humongous-Headed Hammer: Bergelmir's hammer is an ancient and powerful weapon, once given to his father by Ymir, who had commissioned its construction through the fae. It is said to be indestructible and able to kill anything. The Sidhean enchantments of the hammer also gives a unique magical ability to each of its wielders.
  • In-Series Nickname: Big Berg and Berg the Big.
  • Interspecies Romance: He's a Jötunn in a relationship with a human.
  • Manly Facial Hair: A manly beard for a manly nordic giant.
  • No Shirt, Long Jacket: He wears a long white jacket to work at the bar, but no shirt, leaving his runic tattoos on full display.
  • Official Couple: He's dating his co-worker Jill Presto.
  • Only You Can Repopulate My Race: For several centuries he was used to repopulate the Jötnar race during their war against the gods until he was spent and the Aesir and Vanir defeated the remaining giants.
  • Power Tattoo: Bergelmir's tattoos may look like some ancient Nordic ritualistic warrior branding, but that is just what the Devil wants you to think. The truth is that Bergelmir was never tatted up until after his employment at the Oblivion Bar. The nature of the runes are a mystery and often cause for speculation among the most learned and curious patrons of the Oblivion. This mystery is not likely to be solved anytime soon as one would need to see the frost giant naked and have time to study each marking, and only Jill Presto would likely have such an opportunity to do so.
  • Super-Scream: While brandishing his hammer, Bergelmir can unleash a war cry that is so thunderous that it can shatter glass and temporarily deafen mortal ears for a mile, leaving those who hear the booming shout disoriented.
  • Super-Strength: His exact levels of strength are unknown, but Bergelmir can lift his hammer which weighs over two tones and has shown himself able to grapple with New Gods and Kryptonians.
  • You Killed My Father: For a long time he wanted nothing more than use his hammer to avenger the deaths of his father, brothers and grandfather Ymir, but he would never get the chance.

    Beatrice Wechsler
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/beatrice_wechsler_earth_27.jpg
Beatrice Wechsler works as a waitress at the Oblivion Bar.
  • Adaptational Skimpiness: In the comics Beatrice wore regular clothes, but here she wears the skimpy uniform of the Oblivion Bar that Alex and Boris also wear.

    Rachel Begai
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/rachel_begai_earth_27.jpg
A traveling companion of Lucifer Morningstar who currently resides at the Oblivion Bar.

    Noema Presto
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/noema_presto_earth_27.jpg
The daughter of Jill Presto, being born when Lucifer removed the demon possessing her and reincarnating it as her child. Older half-sister of Eikon Presto.
  • Big Sister Instinct: Noema is very protective of her little brother Eikon, though she does reserve the right to torment and tease him at her own leisure - because that is what big sisters are for, isn't it?
  • Heinz Hybrid: Noema has a rather unique physiology. Though she is the remade demon Basanos, combined with human DNA from her mother, its worth mentioning that Basanos was no traditional Hellion, but was conceived by an angelic mother and Endless father.
  • Mood-Swinger: Noema can have some drastic mood swings. When her emotions are out of whack, her powers don't tend to work as she would like them to. This can be rather dangerous for everyone near her, but it can also beneficial to those that need to subdue her as her targeted attacks are unlikely to work as intended.
  • Pint-Sized Powerhouse: Noema possesses an unholy amount of strength. Though still nowhere near as strong as Bergelmir or Lucifer, Noema is still quite young and is getting stronger everyday.
  • Rapid Aging: Noema appears to age at roughly twice the rate of human children. Though she is nearly six years of age, her development nearly matches that of a twelve to thirteen year old child.
  • Reincarnation: She was originally a demon named Basanos who was possessing Jill through a Tarot deck, but Lucifer freed her by reincarnating the demon as Jill's child, with Noema being the result of that reincarnation.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: She looks a lot like her mother.
  • Telekinesis: Noema has the ability to move matter with her mind.
  • Telepathy: Noema can glean insights from the minds of those around her. She has little control over this power at this time, being unable to select what thoughts she obtains or when.
  • Unskilled, but Strong: By tapping into her infernal soul, Noema is able to use infernal magic as a natural instinct. Her magic is crude and unrefined, but only due to a lack of instruction. Lucifer Morningstar has promised to teach her what she needs to know once she is "old enough" to use it responsibly. Without instruction, Noema can still be quite formidable as she has a significant magical endowment. In fact, her magical potential is alarmingly high, much higher than she has any right being - even considering that she is the daughter of an Endless and an angel-turned-demon.

    Mona Doyle
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/mona_doyle_earth_27_7.jpg
The best friend of Elaine Belloc growing up. She was killed but now she helps her friend as a ghost.
  • Boom, Headshot!: She was shot in the forehead and the injury remains as a ghost.

    Boris Agapov
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/boris_agapov_earth_27.jpg
  • Birds of a Feather: The main reason he and Alex started their relationship, staying together to survive while being something of Friends with Benefits.
  • Brooding Boy, Gentle Girl: Gender inverted. Boris is the Gentle Guy to Alex's Brooding Girl.
  • The Charmer: Boris can be quite the charmer. He has no problem with nudity whatsoever and often claims that his best move is the simple act of disrobing and letting his well-endowed physique work its magic.
  • Extreme Omnisexual: He's pansexual.
  • Gentle Giant: Stands at an impressive 6'6"/198cm tall, is pretty strong and resilient but has no mean bone in his body.
  • Honorary Uncle: He's the godfather of Noema Presto.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: He's 6'6"/198cm tall to Alex's 5'6"/168cm tall.
  • I Have Many Names: Boris Carlisle, Boris Chapel, Boris Popov.
  • In-Series Nickname: Boremaster, Big Boy Boris, Boring Boris.
  • Missing Mom: His mother Irina died of the SMV, which led to his father becoming more and more involved in the Norsefire movement.
  • Nice Guy: Those who know Boris best say he doesn't have a cruel bone in his body. He is the sort that would literally give the shirt off his back (or the pants off his backside) to a stranger in need. He can only bring himself to hurt those who he knows to have wronged others.
  • Polyamory: He's the lover of Alex Fitzgerald, Lucifer and Mazikeen.
  • Sensual Slavs: His parents came from Russia, and while he does not speak Russian beyond a few words, he's charming and dresses pretty provocatively.
  • Stripperiffic: His work outfit for the Oblivion Bar doesn't cover much.
  • Wrestler in All of Us: Dropping out of school, Boris was a champion wrestler. This is his preferred fighting style. He has been known to give himself an edge when fighting against a certain type of opponent by disrobing entirely just before he charges into battle.

    Alexandra "Alex" Fitzgerald
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/alex_fitzgerald_earth_27.jpg
  • Beautiful Singing Voice: Alex is a naturally good singer, often accompanying Lucifer at the Oblivion Bar when he's playing a number better suited for a female vocal accompaniment. She will often sing out of habit when she hears the melody of a familiar tune playing and people have been known to stop what they were doing to give their full attention to her performance until its end.
  • Brooding Boy, Gentle Girl: Gender inverted. Alex is the Brooding Girl to Boris' Gentle Guy.
  • Determinator: Alex is known to be a very strong-willed woman, not easily swayed by supernatural persuasion.
  • Extreme Omnisexual: Like Boris she's pansexual.
  • Heroic Seductress: Alex is a master seductress. She is naturally charismatic and has proven she has a good knack for sizing people up so she can tailor her approach to suit their interests, kinks, and perversions accordingly.
  • Honorary Aunt: She's the godmother of Noema Presto.
  • Huge Guy, Tiny Girl: She's barely 5'6"/1.68m tall to Boris' 6'6"/1.98cm tall, making her a full foot shorter than her lover.
  • I Have Many Names: Alex Cavanaugh, Alex Fox, Alex Galloway, Alex Regis, Alex Reynolds, Alex Rice.
  • In-Series Nickname: Alexa, Alexi, Lexa, Lexi, Sexy AF, Sexy Lexi.
  • Lack of Empathy: Alex's past traumas have left her with little empathy for those outside of her immediate friends and loved ones. Though she has no desire for good people to be hurt, she seldom has any emotional reaction to the news or sight of such sufferings happening to strangers.
  • Polyamory: She's the lover of Boris Agapov, Lucifer and Mazikeen.
  • Sticky Fingers: Alex is talented pickpocket and is improving consistently while studying as Jill Presto's magician's assistant.
  • Stripperiffic: Her work outfit for the Oblivion Bar doesn't cover much.
