    In General
  • Immortal Procreation Clause: Genesisians (and Apokalyptans) of both genders are very infertile due to their genetic tampering. This was an intentional augmentation done by the Old Genesisians as a means of population control to conserve precious resources.
  • Physical God: The title of New Gods is not simply symbolic or ceremonial. They really are worshipped by New Genesis' residents. Unlike 'Old Gods of Earth' whose powers function though magic, New Gods' powers work though intrinsic influence upon compatible biology — the endowments having been harvested from ancient intrinsic creatures.
  • Tron Lines: All of them have glowing lines along their clothing, signifying the technological advancement of New Genesis.
  • Weaksauce Weakness: New Gods are vulnerable to a substance called Radion, a weaponized radioactive isotope and adamant. Wounds caused by Radion have difficulty healing and will be assuredly fatal without advanced medical care. New Gods suffering from Radion poisoning will be weaker, more easily fatigued, delirious, and will be unable to execute their endowments

    Highfather (Izaya)

  • Staff of Authority: He carries an impressive golden staff to show he's the ruler of New Genesis.

    Orion (Ahryen)
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/orion_earth_27.jpg
  • Archnemesis Dad: His biological father is Darkseid, and Orion hates him with an undying passion.
  • Black Eyes of Evil: Averted. Just like his uncle and adopted father Izaya, Orion has black sclerae and blue irises, and his wrath as the son of Darkseid is legendary, but he is a heroic person who opposes his tyrannical father.
  • Cain and Abel: He and his half-brother Kalibak hate each other, and have fought countless times.
  • Fiery Redhead: He has red hair and can be quite temperamental, even if most of the time he keeps it under control.
  • Happily Adopted: Raised by his uncle Izaya like his true son, Orion is unfailingly loyal to his adopted father.
  • Official Couple: He's married to Bekka.
  • Red Baron: The Dog of War.

This includes insight into what each person would define their relationship as (lover, romantic interest, loved one, close friend, acquaintance, rival, enemy) and if there are secrets being kept from each other.
  • Living Aphrodisiac: Bekka emits pheromones that makes most sapient beings, including Genesisians and humans, be more inclined to engage in sexual activity. She can suppress this ability if it becomes problematic, but at the cost of making herself feel these effects much more potently.

  • Communications Officer: Beautiful Dreamer is trained as a diplomator. https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/big_bear__earth_27__commission_by_phil_cho_dg8ba09_fullview.jpg

  • Happily Married: He and Beautiful Dreamer are very happy together.
  • Nigh-Invulnerability: Big Bear is highly resistant to blunt force trauma like punches, kicks, and blows from weapons like bats and maces, though not completely immune; unless the blows are dealt by being with similar or greater strength than his own, there is little chance of serious injury. Big Bear is also resistant to other types of damage, including slashing weapons or hazards like extreme heat, extreme cold, and most forms of radiation. He is not invulnerable, but he's close enough to fool most.
  • Only Known by Their Nickname: His birth name is Gharen Baor, but prefers being called Big Bear.
  • Super-Strength: Big Bear, much like all other Termagants, was bred for his strength. His training in the Apokalyptan military honed this raw power into a weapon. Since he had been documented as lifting objects weighing over 250 tons and been shown able to knockout a Kryptonian with his bare hands.

    Metron
https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/metron_2.jpg

  • Aloof Ally: While considered part of New Genesis, he rarely involves himself in the conflict between New Genesis and Apokalypse.
  • Cool Chair: As always, his Mobius chair is quite impressive. The chair also has force fields that can protect him from things up to and including being in the heart of a supernova.
  • For Science!: All he cares about is learning things. He's not quite obsessed enough to seek beyond the Source Wall (not because he doesn't really want to, just because he can't think of a way to avoid the consequences), but that's about his only limitation.
  • Palantir Ploy: He can spy on everything.
  • The Watcher: He's largely a passive observer more interested in seeing new outcomes than actively helping anyone.
