    Regular A-M
  • Affectionate Nickname: Ranzal sometimes calls him “Boss,” and Mym sometimes calls him “Darling.”
  • All-Loving Hero: Euden has an unending capability for affability and kindness, being nice even to his enemies, and having a very strong moral code to follow. This is taken to its logical conclusion in Halloween Mym's Adventurer Story where, after she wishes for a scenario where no other person could potentially steal his time away from her, he instead dedicates his time to valiantly protecting plants.
Euden: I can't turn my back on suffering vegetables, Mym!
  • All of the Other Reindeer: As children, he and Zethia were this to their older siblings, especially Chelle and Leonidas.
  • Alternate Self:
    • Though not seen (for now, anyway), there's Emperor Euden from Audric's Bad Future, who's under Demonic Possession by Morsayati in place of Zethia. In Zena's Adventurer Story, it is all but confirmed that Morsayati does possess him, both in Zena's home world and in many of the other worlds she visited, in exchange for Zethia's life. The appearance doesn't change except for the characteristic red eyes that the possessed take on.
    • In the "Fire Emblem: Kindred Ties" Event, it's revealed that, in yet another alternate future, Euden was willingly possessed by The Other to close the dimensional rifts caused by Alfonse's uncontrollable gate opening powers.
  • Always Save the Girl: He cares deeply for his people and his kingdom, but he's shown on occasion that, if pushed, he'll prioritize Zethia over them in a heartbeat. Emphasized in Chapter 15, where his obsession with saving Zethia almost gets everyone slaughtered by the Agito.
  • Artificial Human: Chapter 19 has Finlorda reveal that the Prince was created by faerie magic and the flesh of the Other.
  • Audience Surrogate: The Prince has little information about the mercenaries he comes in contact with, and as a result, Ranzal is often the one to explain things for him, and therefore, the player.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: When it comes to his main group of friends, Euden is the youngest among them. Even amongst his siblings, he’s the youngest due to being cloned after Zethia was born. Even Notte is implied to be older than him.
  • Badass Adorable: Euden is quite the cute boy with the incredible power of Dragonblood, letting him form pacts with multiple dragons.
  • Batman Gambit: Euden of all people pulls this off in Wedding Elisanne's Adventurer Story. He gets the Cyclops raging mad by saying the two of them are engaged, making him take his anger out on the fiends instead until it's just him.
  • Benevolent Boss: Almost to a fault. He is known for being incredibly kind to his people, and pretty much everyone at the Halidom views him as a great leader and someone who can be counted on.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: He may be incredibly kind, but if someone does something to hurt someone that he cares about, it’s not going to end well for them.
  • Big Good: As the King of New Alberia, this means that he is the leader of the group of everyone who is rebelling against the Empire and all of the evil forces in Alberia.
  • Canon Name: "Euden" is the default name and is also used in the game's comic strip, Dragalia Life.
    • The "To My Dear Child" Wyrmprint reveals that "Euden" was an alternate choice of Aurelius' to bestow onto his first born son, Leonidas.
  • Chaste Hero: Naveed's Adventurer Story demonstrates that Euden just straight-up doesn't understand what romantic love is, to the point that, while he truly believes that true love does exist, he doesn't really understand Naveed's desire to give all of it to his One True Love, since he only knows familial love, and is very confused when Naveed later tries to explain it to him. Given some more context in Summer Mym's Adventurer Story. After she confesses to him, Euden admits that he's not sure what it means to be in love, and he states that if he can't figure out what it means to love himself first, he's not able to give clear answers about romance to others.
Euden: Well, I don't think I really understand the kind of love you're talking about. It's different from simply feeling that your family is precious, right?
  • Chick Magnet: Elisanne and Mym are the most prevalent in the story, but he's got plenty of other women after him. Cleo has, at times, shown that she has fallen for him a little bit. Among the summonable Adventurers, Philia, Malora, Ezelith, Verica, Estelle, Hildegarde, etc. have all expressed an attraction to him at one point.
  • Childhood Friends: Euden has been incredibly close to Zethia ever since they were born. They also knew Notte for most of their lives, and have been their own friend circle for years.
  • A Child Shall Lead Them: Part of the entire point of the game. He’s a young prince who’s forced to rule the entire kingdom after it was ruled taken over by a tyrant, so it’s up to him to step up and become someone worthy of following.
  • Clones Are People, Too: After finding out that he is a clone of Nedrick and is not even human. Euden is obviously distraught by the realization. However, as he continues on his journey, he and his friends come to accept it, and they continue to live their lives like they always did.
  • Closet Key: In Orion's Adventurer Story, his attraction to Euden eventually makes him realize he is bisexual.
  • Clueless Chick-Magnet: He does not realize that Elisanne has a certain degree of romantic attraction to him. He's also... aware of Mym's feelings for him, but not entirely cognizant of how serious they seem to be. And those are just the main characters; various other female Adventurers also fall for him, but he largely remains oblivious.
  • Composite Character: To Corrin from Fire Emblem Fates and Shulk from Xenoblade Chronicles 1. For Corrin, they’re both protagonists who are known for being excessively nice, and have a lot of familial relationship troubles. They both possess dragon blood, and have the power to turn into dragons. There also is a twist in that They’re not directly related to the people who were believed to be their families, and were instead involved in one giant mix-up. As for Shulk, they look similar, as they both have blond hair and wear red. They lose a loved one early on in the game, and try to pursue them throughout their adventure. Their best friend is also The Big Guy and a Boisterous Bruiser. There’s also the twist in their relationship to the Big Bad, as they are fragments of an evil god, and they use said god’s power to defeat them.
  • Cuteness Proximity: It's a running gag that in Dragalia Life, Euden will lose any semblance of dignity and melt into a pile of squee in the presence of a baby Dragon. Mym has outright exploited this to try and sleep with him (by changing into an adorable version of her Dragon form), and technically succeeds, except all the Drakes (aka the aforementioned baby Dragons) joined in, so it isn't at all private.
  • Dead Person Impersonation: Euden has been doing this unwittingly for his whole life. When Nedrick presumably died shortly after birth, Aurelius cloned him, creating the Euden that is seen in the game, and he is the one that takes on the role of the Seventh Scion. Subverted, since it turns out that Nedrick is still alive, and he is not happy about Euden essentially taking his life away.
  • Didn't Think This Through: He has this reaction in the beginning of Sha Wujing's Adventurer Story after he invites him to stay at the halidom and Cleo reminds him about how much of a mad weapons designer he is. Most adventurers Euden invites don't deliver this kind of unease from him, yet Cleo's reminder has him become cautious of Sha Wujing.
  • Disappears into Light: This happens to Euden at the very end of the game. Since he is a part of Xenos’s heart, Euden must die as well if he is killed.
  • Disney Death: Since he’s part of Xenos’s heart, Xenos dying also means that Euden will die as well. However, Zethia remembers who he is, so he is revived, although it is a mere copy.
  • Distracted by the Sexy: He gets hit with this in Chapter 2 of Felicia's Adventurer Story when all she was doing was sweeping the floors.
  • The Dog Bites Back: After spending years of his life being pushed around by his siblings, Euden’s journey inspires him to stand up against them.
  • Dreadful Musician: One of his quotes on the home screen has him say this about himself.
“I practice my instrument all I can, but I still sound like I'm strangling a cat most of the time...”
  • Dub Name Change: His default name is "Eudiel" in the Japanese version.
  • Dumb Blonde: Downplayed, since Euden isn’t outright stupid, but he definitely has more than a few moments of stupidity that make him not exactly the most intelligent blondie, even in his own family.
  • Even the Loving Hero Has Hated Ones: Euden does what he can to see the best in everyone, including his Jerkass brother Emile. He has invited a lot of people to the Halidom regardless of their quirks, moral code, or past. However, following the events of Chapter 15, Euden finds himself unable to forgive Nedrick for his actions of murdering innocents, kidnapping Zethia, and revealing Euden to not be royal blood solely to break him. The end of the chapter involves the rest of the main cast having to calm Euden down to keep him for hunting Nedrick in vengeance.
  • Even the Guys Want Him: Several male characters openly express interest in him, including (at least) one male Dragon.
Kindling Imp: You're a pretty handsome guy. If I were a lady, I'd be all over that.
  • Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep": Due to the ability for players to name him, it’s quite common for Euden to just be referred to as “The Prince.” Even this very page refers to him as “The Prince/Euden.” His variants also call him this, as in “Gala Prince,” “Summer Prince,” and “Bondforged Prince.”
  • Extreme Doormat: Not so much in the main story, but often Played for Laughs in the Adventurer Stories (and lampshaded just as much), which typically play, in full force, his habit accepting any sob story he's given, or just going along with whatever's happening around him (or to him), no matter how extreme or ill-advised, with no complaint. It gets to the point where more than a couple of the Stories feature one of his friends rolling their eyes at his behavior. Vice's Adventurer Story outright lampoons it, with Euden specifically playing up his expected accepting nature to trick Vice into working with him.
  • Family of Choice: This is how most of the people of the Halidom feel towards each other. By the end of the game, they have knit to tight family circle, and will do anything and everything for the sake of each other.
  • Fatal Flaw: As the story progresses, it becomes apparent that Euden's biggest flaw is saving Zethia no matter what, even if it means sacrificing the world and everyone in it. This is best seen in Chapter 14 when Euden carelessly leads the party to a trap when he sees an illusion of Zethia and when he willingly offers to let Morsayati possess him in exchange for Zethia's freedom. It even causes his usual kindness and concern for his friends to waver, as seen in Chapter 15 where he tries to force everyone to rescue Zethia after they were all nearly killed by the Agito and Euden was beaten effortlessly by Nedrick. It took Zena, whose Zethia from another world, to talk him out of it.
  • Fish out of Water: Euden was once a sheltered prince whose only real friends were Zethia and Notte. After he got kicked out of the the Alberian castle, he must become the ruler of the Halidom and befriend and manage all kinds of different people. Thankfully, he adapts surprisingly quickly.
  • Frameup: Zethia's kidnapping is pinned on him by the Dyrenell Empire, resulting in him being branded as a traitor to be hunted down, though this particular plot point is rarely brought up once Euden officially establishes New Alberia.
  • Friend to All Living Things: People of all different races love him, with him being friends with countless people and dragons alike. Even bears, deer, rabbits, etc. seem to be quite fond of him.
  • Gathering Steam: In part thanks to his first ability, Dragon’s Claws II, which increases his attack by 5%, 13%, and then 25% each time he shapeshifts. Post-Mana Spiral, it becomes Dragon’s Claws IV, giving a 10%, 25%, and then 40% attack boost each time he shapeshifts. In addition, one of his best choice of Wyrmprints carries the same Ability at Level 3.note
  • Genius Ditz: Although Euden isn’t exactly the brightest bulb in the box, he still shows plenty of skill as a leader and fighter, which is part of the reason why he and his army remain so successful.
  • Glass Cannon: Amongst the main cast Euden has two damaging skills, and a passive that increases damage after shapeshifting and uses a Sword, which had great mobility and above average attack speed. But lacks anything to help with survivability.
  • Go Out with a Smile: When Euden Disappears into Light, he does so with a smile. He did so much for the world, and knowing that is enough for him to pass on smiling all the while.
  • Gratuitous English: In Gala Mym's Adventurer Story, in the Japanese audio, he calls Mym “honey” to match her "darling" in each Imagine Spot.
  • Grew a Spine: After spending years of being pushed around by his siblings, he finally decides to stand up for himself and teach them a lesson.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: He is shown to be a peace-loving and courageous young man with blonde hair.
  • Half-Identical Twins: Downplayed with Euden and Zethia, similar to Dipper and Mabel. Although they have the same face, same blond hair, and are even about the same height, they have distinct features, such as their eye color, with Euden having green eyes and Zethia having blue eyes. Although there is a slight subversion: Euden and Zethia are not twins, but rather, Euden is a clone of the original twin, Nedrick. When is comes to Nedrick and Zethia, this is completely averted, as Nedrick looks quite different from Zethia (even without his curse). This means that Euden looks just like a male version of his aunt.
  • The Hero: Not only is he the protagonist, but he always tries to help someone who is in need, always putting other people before himself. He even kills Xenos for the sake of saving the people, knowing very well that it would kill him as well.
  • The Hero Dies: After he slays Xenos once and for all, he disappears, since Euden is a part of his heart. He gets revived by Zethia, but it is an imperfect copy of him.
  • Heroes Prefer Swords: He's the protagonist, and he uses a sword in both Regular and Gala forms.
  • Heroic BSoD: Learning that he is an adopted, instead of biological, son of Aurelius, and that Nedrick is the "real" Euden hits him like a truck. He gets better, but still.
  • Heroic Lineage: As with all members of the royal family, Euden is descended from the Dragon-blooded Alberius, hero of the Second War of Binding and founder of the Kingdom of Alberia. Played with when it's revealed that he's not actually Aurelius' son by normal birth. Chapter 19 explains that he is actually an Artificial Human made from faerie magic, the flesh of the Other and the original Seventh Scion's blood and soul. Though according to Nedrick's story, Euden's soul is possibly a copy rather than a direct transplant.
  • Heroic Sacrifice: Euden decides to confront Xenos one last time during Chapter 26 in order to prevent him from destroying their world, knowing very well that he will die with Xenos gone.
  • Honor Before Reason: His willingness to let himself be possessed by the other. Despite people from the future telling him not to let The Other possess him, and even personally seeing what happens if he does first-hand, Euden still lets himself get possessed purely to save Zethia.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: Euden is notorious for letting anyone join his army, despite how Obviously Evil they may be. Often times, his troops have to be the ones to point this out.
  • Ideal Hero: Downplayed. Euden is kind, morally upstanding, and constantly thinking about the greater good while helping anyone he can, but he is notably less strong than the usual of this trope. A few times, characters note that his inexperience in the field makes him less of a force than some of the people who follow him, but he is still followed due to his upstanding moral code.
  • Identical Grandson: With the revelation that Euden is a clone of Nedrick, this means that his "father," Aurelius, and his "siblings" are technically his grandfather and aunts and uncles respectively. Euden heavily resembles Aurelius when he was younger as well as his "twin sister," Zethia. Even excluding that, Euden also looks like his ancestor, Alberius, especially in his Bondforged Form.
  • Idiot Hair: He sports one.
  • Idiot Hero: He may be a worthy leader and a great fighter, but he isn’t exactly the brightest bulb in the box.
  • I Need to Go Iron My Dog: He does this in Chapter 5 of Philia’s Adventurer Story once she starts wanting to get married that day.
  • Interspecies Friendship: Considering that the whole point of the game the bonds that humans share with dragons, this was inevitable with the main character. He is good friends with most of the dragons that he forms pacts with, and they all view each other as good friends, although a special mention goes to Midgardsormer, since he’s the main dragon that Euden has a pact with.
  • Interspecies Romance: Although Euden himself has absolutely no interest in romance, especially with a dragon, that certainly doesn’t stop Mym from trying.
  • Kill It with Fire: Unlocking the node in his Mana Spiral gives his first skill "Blazing Circlet" chance to inflict Burn.
  • The Leader: He’s not only the leader of the people of the Halidom, but he’s also the leader within his friend circle, like how Ranzal frequently calls him “boss.”
  • Like a Duck Takes to Water: Although ruling over a small kingdom is tough at first, he adapts surprisingly well, and before everyone realizes it, he is easily watching over the people and they all respect him.
  • Like Father, Like Son: Raemond and Cassandra, old retainers and close friends of King Aurelius, are quick to notice Euden's similarities to his father before his apparent Face–Heel Turn.
  • Magical Seventh Son: Euden is the seventh scion of the Alberian royal family. As The Hero, Euden is the one who would change the world, as he would form pacts with countless dragons and would encourage all kinds of people to unite together for a common goal. Turns out to be a subversion, since Euden is not actually the seventh scion, but rather, is a clone of him. The real seventh scion, Nedrick, was presumed to have died shortly after birth, so his father cloned him. Resentful that Euden practically took away his life, Nedrick seeks revenge on Euden.
  • Magnetic Hero: Has an almost supernatural knack for winning the hearts of even the most stubborn Ineffectual Loners.
  • Malicious Slander: Estelle's Adventurer Story reveals that there have been rumors about him filling his castle with young girls and spending his days with obscenities. He's perplexed upon finding this out.
  • Messy Hair, mainly for his regular form, as it goes in random directions and looks rather unkempt. Averted with his Gala form and Bondforged form, where his hair is much more organized.
  • Modest Royalty: To the point that Elisanne initially takes him to be Zethia's servant rather than her brother.
  • Morally Superior Copy: Played With. It turns out that Euden is actually a clone of Nedrick, and was made because Nedrick was presumed to have died. While Euden is an All-Loving Hero, Nedrick is an Antihero. However, it turns out that Nedrick was actually just like Euden at one point, and the only reason he acts evil is because he was revived by Bahamut, and because he was rejected by society, Nedrick believed that he had to become his pawn in exchange. Even when he starts to break free of Bahamut’s influence, Nedrick is still a bit of a Jerk with a Heart of Gold. Although Euden also had a tough time in society, he still had Zethia and Notte, who helped guide him to the path of righteousness that he’s shown to be in in the present day.
  • Mythical Motifs: With dragons, obviously. The whole point of the game is that Euden forms pacts with Dragons, and is then able to shape-shift into them. A lot of his aspects of his design as well as his attacks all culminate with dragons. His scale-like armors, his horn-like hair, his fiery attacks, etc.

    Regular N-Z
  • Nice Guy: Generally, he's a fairly nice person who's willing to help anyone in need. He's even willing to let people reside in The Halidom regardless of how weird and quirky they are!
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Very narrowly averted. When he lets himself get possessed by Morsayati, it uses his body to utilize the dragons that he has formed pacts with, and together, they cause the apocalypse. The only reason that that doesn’t happen to this particular Euden is because the possession was interrupted by Beren.
  • No-Sell: Part one of Chapter 24 reveals Euden is immune to the effects of black mana since he was made from a piece of the Other, a being made of black mana.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business:
    • In Chapter 15, after multiple failures of trying to save Zethia, Euden finally snapped and unleashed his bottled anger and frustration in front of his friends.
    • In Elementary Escapades, his worry over Emile's expanded educational system is noted by Cleo to be uncharacteristic of him. Note that Euden is the only person who has anything nice to say about Emile.
  • Oblivious to Love: Extremely.
  • Older Than They Look: Despite seeming very fresh-faced and being on the short side, Euden, at the time of the story's beginning, is actually seventeen, along with Zethia (as they're twins). By the time of his Gala Prince self, another year has come and gone, making him eighteen despite very little physical differences beyond a change in hairstyle.
  • Our Clones Are Different: It turns out that Euden is not the true seventh scion, but rather, is a clone of him, but the way he was cloned is rather unorthodox. When Nedrick, the original Seventh Scion, died, his father, King Aurelius, cloned him using fairy magic and a fragment of Morsayati. The magic was used to transfer part of Nedrick's soul into Euden, and Morsayati's flesh was used to create the body. Complicating thing even further, it turns out that Morsayati is actually the heart of Xenos, with Euden actually being an entire fragment of the heart, more specifically, the part that gives to others. All in all, this means that Euden is a bizarre mix of Nedrick, Morsayati, and Xenos (whom are all, coincidentally the game's three main villains).
  • The Paragon: His noble, selfless devotion to protecting the innocent inspires his allies to keep fighting against all odds, and also inspires all the villagers he's protecting to come to his aid when he's outnumbered by Valyx's forces.
  • Playing with Fire: His Regular variant is of the Flame Element.
  • The Pollyanna: Euden always remains optimistic, no matter how dire things may seem. He believes that there is good in everyone and will often try to convince his enemies to stop fighting, even when it’s futile.
  • Pretty Boy: Euden resembles his two sisters far more than any of his male relativesnote , and people (female, male, and even draconic) are quite open to admit they find him very pretty. Zardin even enthusiastically declares him his "face twin."
  • Prince Charming: Philia has officially dubbed him her Prince Charming, even.
  • Princes Rule: While Euden officially becomes the King of New Alberia at the end of Chapter 6, literally everyone continues to refer to him by the title of Prince, whether it be his closest vassals or distant subjects.
  • Replacement Goldfish: Chapters 11 & 12 reveal that he's an adopted member of the royal family to replace the original Euden, who perished when he was barely a month old. The Euden we know was adopted from a seemingly minor noble house. However, he is likely still descended from Alberius, as he has Dragonblood, though apparently not directly enough to be identified as a blood member of the royal family. This throws him for a loop when he finds out, as he rightfully notes that he can perform Dragonpacts, an ability accessible only to the royal family of Alberia. The end of Chapter 16 has Euden travel to Northern Grastaea in pursuit of information regarding Finlorda, the noble who gave him to Aurelius.
    • Also may be averted after the revelations of Chapter 19 Part 2. As Finlorda states, he created Euden after transferring the Seventh Scion's soul into a body created from the Other's flesh. So technically speaking he really is the Seventh Scion, just in an entirely different body than the one he was born in.
  • Royalty Super Power: Members of the Alberian royal family have the ability to form Dragonpacts and take on that Dragon's form in battle. The revelation that he was adopted after Nedrick's alleged demise brings into question how he's able to do so.
  • Ruler Protagonist: From Chapter 6 onward, Euden's priority shifts from simply defeating the Big Bad in combat to fostering and protecting his new fledgling kingdom. This includes forging alliances with neighboring kingdoms, building a standing army, liberating and protecting villages from The Empire, and hearing out the troubles of every Tom, Dick, and Larry who shows up at the castle gates.
  • The Runt at the End: Euden is absolutely tiny compared to most of his older brothers.
  • Ship Tease: Being a Clueless Chick-Magnet aside, the Prince gets a noticeable amount of teasing with a number of characters throughout both the main story and Adventurer's Stories. Some are more obvious than others.
  • Sibling Rivalry: With the rest of his royal siblings, especially Empress Zethia, after he declares the Halidom an independent power from the Dyrenell Empire. Though his rivalry with Leonidas and Valyx end after Chapters 12 and 15, respectively. Chelle is subverted, since any rivalry they had was simply a front she put on while aiding him in the background. Phares and Emile still don't care for him, though, and Beren was locked away too long to care one way or another, erring towards not.
  • Simple, yet Awesome: Euden's kit is fairly straightforward, having two damage Skills, an Ability that permanently boosts his Strength every time he transforms, and even offers boosted Player Experience. He's still one of the most reliable Flame Sword users to players who don't have Marth (who is a 5-Star limited unit) or Naveed (a normal 5-Star unit).
    • His Mana Spiral is also straightforward. His first Skill causes Burn and increases his Dragon Gauge, his "Dragon’s Claws" Ability was buffed, and he can remove buffs when in Dragonform. Version 2.0 was also a very simple change, strengthened both his Skills and guarantees the Defense debuff on his second Skill.
  • Spare to the Throne: The sparest, to the point that he had actually been avoiding taking the Dragon Choosing (a prerequisite for being considered for the throne) until it was required for world-saving reasons.
  • Starter Mon: Euden is the very first adventurer that every player unlocks, as he is the protagonist. As such, his play style is rather basic for anyone to use effectively.
  • Status-Buff Dispel: Unlocking "Dragon's Dominance" on his Mana Spiral allows his attacks in Dragonform to remove enemy buffs.
  • Stepford Smiler: Dragalia Life #264 has him coming to everyone while Hinomotoans Taro and Botan are having a bout of homesickness, Waike despairs being driven from his home country, and Xania worries that her brother no longer needs her. He comes in to be their rock, while arrows point that he's dealing with his own traumas of being driven from his country, forced to fight his siblings, and separated from his sister.
  • Stock Shōnen Hero: He’s an All-Loving Hero who always acts oblivious to the world around him and doesn’t hesitate to help others whenever they need him. He also has a very strong sense of justice, and will do anything he can to stop evil. All of these qualities are what make people attracted to him and why he always seems to become allies with pretty much everyone he meets. There is actually a reason as to why Euden is always helping others and why people seem to always love him. He’s a part of God’s heart, more specifically, the part that gives to others.
  • Suddenly Speaking:
    • Inverted. Normally a character with his own personality and dialogue, he becomes a Silent Protagonist in the "Valentine's Confections" Event, presumably to immerse the players more directly into his role there. His one "line" isn't until the epilogue, and even then, it's a thought that isn't spoken out loud.
    • Applies during Zhu Bajie’s Adventurer Story as well. It follows the same ‘POV’ structure that "Valentine's Confections" had, where the character is closer and lower to the screen.
  • Tangled Family Tree: It turns out that Euden has quite the complicated family heritage: He’s not actually the seventh scion of Alberia, but rather is a clone of him. The original seventh scion, Nedrick, was presumed to have died as an infant, so King Aurelius cloned him shortly after his birth. This means that Euden is the same age as his biological father, and his “siblings” are technically his aunts and uncles. He was also cloned using Morsayati’s flesh, which means he’s biologically related to Sheila and Mordecai, who are also fragments of Morsayati. It also turns out that Morsayati is actually the heart of Xenos, making them biologically related to him as well.
  • Token Good Teammate: He and Zethia are this when compared to the rest of their siblings. This is best exemplified in Chapter 10 of the main campaign, where Euden is the only member of the royal family who refuses to side with The Other. After this moment, this trope gets downplayed, as all of his siblings, (except Beren) learn to become better people as the Main Campaign progresses.
  • Tomato in the Mirror: Chapter 19 (Part One) reveals that Euden wasn't born naturally. He was created through faerie magic and a piece of Morsayati.
  • Too Dumb to Live:
    • It's something of a running gag in Adventurer Stories that Euden has apparently no standards as to who he's happy to welcome to the Halidom, from the dangerously unstable to literal monsters.
Althemia: Time for lesson number three: Vampires have many vulnerabilities! For one, they can't enter a house unless someone invites them in.
Ranzal: Nice! So if we can make it back to the castle, we're safe. [Looks at Euden] ...Actually, scratch that. We're doomed.
    • Played more dramatically in Chapter 14 when Euden is willing to perform a Heroic Sacrifice by letting Morsayati take control of him in order to save Zethia (something that Morsayati exactly wanted to do since he was the last piece of himself who just happened to be forming Dragonpacts), which a lot of characters call him out for. Luckily, Beren stepped in to prevent that from happening.
    • His naivete in trusting folks who visit the Halidom literally kickstarts the events of Cursed Connections, when he lets in someone he really shouldn't have and nearly puts the world in danger because of it. This is referenced in Celestial Showdown when he initially bars Shingen's entry to verify the legitimacy of his status.
  • Too Spicy for Yog-Sothoth: In Rage of Chronos, when he gave some of his blood to the vampire Vania, instead of healing her it instead acts as a poison since her present self is not strong enough to take in blood as potent as his. By the time of the events of Vania's Adventure Story, thanks to having drank the blood of her future self, Vania has strengthened a bit more to have some resistance to his potent blood.
  • Unwanted Harem: Though it's less that it's unwanted and more that he's almost entirely oblivious that it even exists.
  • Urban Legend Love Life: Apparently has a(n unfounded) reputation of possessing a harem of women with which he engages in "all manner of... of indecencies!" At least, according to Estelle in her first Adventurer Story chapter.
  • Virtuous Character Copy: On closer inspection, Euden actually shares quite a few similarities to Daenerys Targaryen. They’re both members of royalty who come from corrupt families and try to sever ties with them. They then go around the kingdom, freeing people who are suffering and recruiting them to their cause. They also have a special connection to dragons, and utilize their abilities in combat. Daenerys, however, can act quite brutal towards her enemies, and rules her people with an iron fist. That is the last ways to describe Euden, as he is an All-Loving Hero who tries to see the good in his enemies, and is a Benevolent Boss who shows incredible kindness towards his people, which is why he is absolutely beloved by them.
  • Vocal Dissonance: Although he is around his late teens throughout the entire game, his voice, at least in the English dub, is surprisingly high-pitched. His voice is a bit deeper in Japanese.
  • Warrior Prince: He, like most of his siblings in line for the throne, is a frontline fighter.
  • Weirdness Magnet: Euden always seems to be on the receiving end of whatever is tormenting the Halidom this week.
  • What's Up, King Dude?: Has almost absolutely no standards for who he'll allow to live at the Halidom and fight for him. Serena is quite annoyed to discover this, as she had just been conned into buying very expensive letter of introduction on the belief that he wouldn't see anyone without one.
  • You Remind Me of X: Euden gets this a lot, with the comparison usually being to either Alberius or Aurelius.

    Gala
"I will fulfill my pact with the dragons!"
  • Alpha Strike: His second Skill, Exalted Glory, summons his allies Elisanne, Ranzal, Cleo, and Luca, and bum rushes the enemy from different angles.
  • Badass Cape: Gets a cape.
  • Bequeathed Power: Alberius leaves a significant portion of his power to Euden with his Dying Wish.
  • Bling of War: In stark contrast to his original modest mode of dress.
  • Cool Sword: His art depicts him wielding a really fancy-looking one called the Ascendant Edge. It was obtainable as a weapon skin from The Alberian Battle Royale until December 31, 2020.
  • Critical Status Buff: His third Ability, Draconic Charge, immediately fills a large chunk of the team's Dragon Gauge the first time he falls below 30% HP in a quest.
  • Expository Hairstyle Change: Starts wearing his bangs swept back, highlighting his growing resemblance to Alberius.
  • Field Power Effect: His first skill "Rising Circlet" creates a buff zone that increases the strength of Adventurers in it.
  • Gameplay and Story Segregation: In the main story mode, Euden's cutscene portrait will change to Gala Euden's after Chapter 10, regardless of whether or not you've actually summoned him.
  • Generation Xerox: Enforced. It starts to become clear that the will of Alberius that Euden took upon himself wasn't just a mere vow to carry on his Last Request. Not only does he start becoming more like Alberius both physically and mentally, but his experiences—from personal relationships to specific battles—begin to coincide with Alberius's as well.
  • Knight in Shining Armor: He always had the personality, even when he wore random bits of dull armor as the so-called Traitor Prince. Now, he has the shiny suit of armor to match his personality, and he plays this trope painfully straight.
  • Lightning Bruiser: Amongst the main cast, Euden’s Gala version falls into this. With two great damaging skills, the ability to buff him and his allies, defense buffs from his second skill, and a regen for Light attuned team members who shapeshift with his Chain Co-Ability all while still using a Sword.
  • Light 'em Up: Switches to the Light Element for this version.
  • Lonely at the Top: In his Adventurer Story, Euden's growing power begins to isolate him from the people he's sworn to protect, as people begin to no longer see him as human and/or a source of unnecessary collateral damage in the fight against the Dyrenell Empire. While Alberius was able to take this in stride, Euden had always thrived on the Power of Friendship, and thus finds it all unbearably stressful.
  • Nonindicative Name: His first Skill, "Rising Circlet," makes the shape of a rectangle. Averted in the Japanese version, where the skill is called Rising Crown.
  • The Perils of Being the Best: In his Adventurer Story, he had gotten so strong that the people he tries to save view him as a monster. Morsayati and Cleo compare him to Alberius, that he was also shunned, feared, and betrayed by the people he tried to help.
  • Simple, yet Awesome: Gala Euden possesses two very useful Skills - first is a large area of effect buff that boosts Strength by 20%, and a damage Skill that also provides a party-wide Strength and Defense boost, causing the Paralysis affliction, as well as a single-use shield (plus, its Skill Meter fills automatically). His three Abilities are literally just Poison and Curse immunity, increased transformation time and Dragon attack speed, and an instant, one-time 50% Dragon Gauge boost when on low health. His Co-Ability provides an additional transformation damage and time buff for the entire party. Finally, his Chain Co-Ability gives passive HP regeneration for twenty seconds every time a Light adventurer shapeshifts. There's a reason Gala Euden is considered one of the best Light Adventurers in the entire game.
  • Super-Empowering: Taking Alberius's will upon himself has apparently triggered some sort of accelerated growth in his Dragon-shifting powers and general physical ability, to the point that people are starting to view him as something other than human.
  • Superior Successor: In the "The Wind's Guidance" Wyrmprint, Midgardsormr plainly states Euden has surpassed Alberius in strength.
  • Took a Level in Badass: Both mechanically and narratively.
  • You Are Not Alone: Had to be reminded of this by his friends in his Adventurer Story.

    Summer
"Alright! We're off to the beach!"
  • Amnesia Episode: Summer Mym's Adventurer Story has him save her from a tidal wave, and outside of his own name and Mym's, he can't remember anything else.
  • Boy Band: His Adventurer Story has him forming one with the Summer versions of Luca, Ieyasu, Norwin and Leonidas.
  • Damage Over Time: He can inflict Shadowblight with his first skill "Seaside Circlet".
  • Casting a Shadow: Utilizes the Shadow element in this outfit.
  • Paper-Thin Disguise: Euden uses his summer attire to go incognito in "Divine Deception". Nobody who isn't already aware can tell he is the prince until he changes to his gala.
  • Promoted to Playable: Euden had been seen in his summer attire since the very first summer event. He isn't playable in it until "Stranded Scions" where he serves as the welfare Adventurer, and no need to fill a friendship meter either.

    Bondforged (EXPECT MAJOR UNMARKED SPOILERS!!!
"I'll open the way to the future!"
  • 11th-Hour Superpower: It is unlocked incredibly late into the game, and is mainly used to defeat True Bahamut and Xenos.
  • All Your Powers Combined: How Euden ultimately defeats Xenos. Everyone that he has met and befriended over the course of the entire game offer up all of their power to him, and this overwhelming amount of power is what ultimately seals Xenos’s fate.
  • Blow You Away: This version of the prince is attuned to the wind element, and he will shapeshift into Primal Midgardsormr regardless of the dragon equipped to him.
  • Bookends: Euden is the Starter Mon of the game being the first character introduced at the very beginning with his sister Zethia. This alt of his is one of the last adventurers implemented into the game alongside Bondforged Zethia.
  • Curtains Match the Window: Downplayed, because his hair is now two different colors, with him still retaining his blond hair on top, but the bottom of his hair is now green. Regardless, the bottom half of Euden’s hair match the green color of his eyes.
  • Emerald Power: Euden’s hair becomes a bright shade of green, part of his armor is green, and his already green eyes have become even more pronounced with his new form.
  • Eye Color Change: Downplayed, because although Euden’s eyes are green in both his normal and Bondforged forms, his Bondforged form has eyes that are lighter shade than they normally are.
  • Generation Xerox: Everything from his skills to his appearance brings Alberius to mind.
  • Power Dyes Your Hair: Downplayed. In this form, Euden's hair gets a bright green gradient at the tips.
  • Power Makes Your Hair Grow: In his Bondforged form, Euden's hair gets really long.
  • The Power of Friendship: The prince acquired this form thanks to all the bonds he made throughout his journey, with a dash of the primal powers he briefly absorbed in Chapter 24.
  • Reality Warper: Courtesy of him hosting the power of the Auspexes, as well as him naturally being a part of Xenos, Euden gains the same reality-altering powers as his creator. This cancels out Xenos’ abilities against him.
  • Super Mode: Euden’s hair grows and turns the bottom half of it green. His armor turns white with green accents, which help compliment Primal Midgardsormer. His pact is stronger than ever, and their wind abilities are greatly enhanced.
