    Fiona Galland (Default Name)

https://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pub/images/fiona1_5.jpg
Fiona Galland

The Heroine of the game and the Playable Character. Her default name is Fiona Galland, but her first name can be changed. She is a young 16 year old girl who was locked up in a tower her whole life, due to being a Lobeira, which makes her very susceptible to illness. She is from a noble family, and is being pursued for an Arranged Marriage by Mejojo Garibaldi. She is very naive and sheltered from being locked up her whole life, and does not know much about what's going on in the rest of the country.

  • Afraid of Needles: She gets very scared of getting a shot on Zara's route, and he has to talk her into it.
  • All Girls Want Bad Boys: On Mejojo and Auger routes.
  • Animal Lover: Loves Pearl and Richie, her dog attendants, who she loves to pet and spoil. Also tries to cuddle the rats of the CCK at one point, and has to restrain herself from petting the wolves.
  • Arranged Marriage: Mejojo tries this multiple times before the beginning of the game and fails. Ultimately succeeds when Fiona is brought to the castle, and in his good ending and the twin good ending, he ends up marrying her.
  • Babies Ever After: Depending on ending.
    • Mejojo's good ending has him telling her that he wants an heir to the throne.
    • On the twin good ending, she and Mejojo have two children already. A human boy, and a cat girl.
    • The good ending for Arles has them with at least two children already, with Fiona being pregnant again.
    • In "Last Hope" on Rath's good ending, they have two children.
  • The Baby of the Bunch: She is the youngest character of the entire cast.
  • Big Brother Attraction: On Nesso route, she starts to realize she has feelings for Nesso beyond a brother.
  • Brother–Sister Incest: If she pursues her half brother Nesso.
  • Blue Blood: She is the daughter of a noble who is favored by the king. Her family is considered one of the more powerful families in the country.
  • Break the Cutie: On several routes, she ends up breaking.
    • On Mejojo's bad ending, she is Driven to Suicide after losing her whole family and being left alone when Mejojo dies.
    • On the twin bad ending, she faces Cold-Blooded Torture to the point of being completely dependent on the twins, and made into a masochist who enjoys the pain simply because they're paying attention to her.
    • On Julian bad ending, she has a Heroic BSoD after she accidentally pushes Julian off the cliff, leading her to get caught by Auger.
  • Butt-Monkey: She is abducted to the palace by Auger, gets strangled by Mejojo, bitten by Arles, and is chased across the country by the cat twins. The cat twins also take her to a destroyed village to show her what the wolves do in an attempt to break her from wanting to go outside. Additionally, on some routes, she can be tortured by the cat twins, lose her entire family, fall off a cliff, and also dies in several endings.
  • Caged Bird Metaphor: She is referred to as "The Beautiful Birdcage Princess" by the townspeople outside her tower.
  • Childhood Friend Romance: If she is romancing Zara, their romance acts as this since they've known each other since they were children.
  • Cuteness Proximity: She loves animals, and has the tendency to get distracted by trying to pet them. Even with the adult rat knights of the CCK, and the wolves of the wolf pack.
  • Damsel in Distress: The entire plotline kicks off by Auger arresting her and taking her to the palace, with her family following her to help her escape from the palace. On the cat path, her family also join ups with the wolves to attack the castle and get her back. This also occurs in "Last Hope" where the wolves got to her first via Rath staging a kidnapping on her in hopes she could help the wolves.
  • Dangerous 16th Birthday: She is abducted by Auger the day before her 16th birthday in "Bloody Nightmare". In "Last Hope", she is instead kidnapped by Rath to help the wolves and before Auger and Mejojo can actually get her.
  • Driven to Suicide: On Mejojo's bad ending, he dies from the wounds that Arles gave him. Fiona, having already lost her family and friends, is Driven to Suicide from the grief by jumping from a tower in the palace.
  • Dude Magnet: Being a Romance Game heroine, most of the cast wants her. On all routes, Zara is implied to love her, her half-brother Nesso wants to marry her, and Mejojo wants to marry her and is willing to do anything to get her.
  • Earn Your Happy Ending: On several occasions.
    • On Nesso and Zara's good ending routes, they help her escape from the palace, hide out in the woods for a while, and make it across the border after being pursued by the knights of the cat twins, with her Love Interest getting hurt in the process. Julian's good ending route is the same, except that Julian does not get hurt but is forced to confront Auger, who tortured him for years.
    • On Arles route, she is forced to flee from Mejojo and Auger's army, but comes back to help Arles who is able to kill Mejojo. Guillan is murdered, but her and the rest of the wolves escape and start rebuilding the wolf pack in another country.
    • On Guillan route, she is again forced to flee with the wolves too sick to fight, but she succeeds. Arles dies, but Rath and Guillan survive. She takes care of the wolves until Guillan comes back, and then they decide to travel together.
  • Extreme Doormat: She can come across as this sometimes, especially on the cat twins path. Justified in the fact that there isn't much she can do against the royal family.
  • Fallen Princess: She becomes one of these at the beginning of the game. She is a Blue Blood noble who is accused of being a witch, and the resulting Witch Hunt leads to her family having to flee from their castle for fear that the local townspeople will try to Burn the Witch!..
  • Gilded Cage: Starts out as a girl with a weakened immune system, unable to leave her tower due to fear of her getting sick. On Mejojo's good ending and the cat twin ending, she ends up in this again when he keeps her locked up in an open air garden.
  • Glurge Addict: She wears a lot of pink, and is a cute and fuzzy Animal Lover. She especially loves Pearl and Richie, her dog attendants, and the rats of the CCK.
  • Hair of Gold, Heart of Gold: She has blonde hair and is a very sweet, innocent character.
  • Heavy Sleeper: At one point, Fiona recalls the times that she wouldn't get up and Zara, her butler, picked her bed up and threw her out of it. Julian also comments that he had a hard time waking her up when she lived in the open air garden.
  • Hello, [Insert Name Here]: Fiona Galland is her default name, but Fiona can be changed.
  • Hemo Erotic: She ends up very much liking being bitten by whatever wolf she's romancing.
  • Horrible Judge of Character: She starts out as this, having been locked in the tower her whole life with no real world experience. Of particular note is her trusting Mejojo and Auger, who are simply manipulating her into marrying Mejojo.
  • I Just Want to Be Normal: Fiona constantly laments the fact that she was born a Lobeira, and that she just wants to be able to go outside and not worry about getting deathly sick.
  • I'm Cold... So Cold...: Fiona says this line word for word on Guillan's bad ending, as she and Guillan die together after he pulls a If I Can't Have You… moment and decides to Take Her Down With Him as he's dying.
  • Incurable Cough of Death: On Rath's bad ending, she gets this when zodiva finally catches up to her, and she dies.
  • The Ingenue: She is a very naive, innocent character. Justified by the fact that she has never left her tower until the start of the game.
  • Interspecies Romance: Is in one of these with any of the romance options besides Nesso. Mejojo, Auger, and Julian are all cats, Zara is a rabbit, and Arles, Guillan, and Rath are all wolves.
  • It's All My Fault: She views Julian, Nesso, and Zara's deaths on the cat path as her fault, as she went back to the castle herself to try and convince Mejojo and Auger to stop killing the wolves. It doesn't work, and all three of them die for it.
  • Little Sister Heroine: To Nesso, who wants to marry her. On his route, she realizes that she cares about him as more than a brother.
  • Long Hair Is Feminine: She has very long blonde hair.
  • Love Martyr: Comes across as this, when she wonders several times about whether she could change Mejojo. On the cat path, she ultimately does decide to head back to the castle in hopes of convincing him to stop his slaughter of the wolves.
  • Mandatory Motherhood: In Mejojo's good ending, he decides that they need to have children so that he can have an heir to the throne.
  • A Match Made in Stockholm: If she ends up on the good ending for Mejojo or the twin good ending, where she stops trying to escape and starts cooperating and even caring about Mejojo.
  • Morality Pet: To the wolves, who treat her rather kindly and let her make the decision of what she wants to do.
  • NaĂŻve Newcomer: Fiona acts as this, since she has been sheltered her whole life and does not know much about the world. She was only given the bare minimum of information about the outside world, and was never allowed to leave her tower.
  • No Good Deed Goes Unpunished: This occurs to her when she goes back to the castle for the cat path in order to convince Mejojo and Auger to abandon their plan. This leads to her experiencing Cold-Blooded Torture to punish her, the wolves getting wiped out, and her family getting killed trying to save her.
  • Parental Neglect: Her father does love her, but that doesn't stop him from locking her in a tower and not letting her move into the main castle with him.
  • Pink Means Feminine: Her main outfit has a lot of pink, and she wears pink ribbons in her hair.
  • Please Wake Up: Has a noteworthy moment on Nesso's bad ending, where she says this trope almost word for word as she's in denial of Nesso being dead.
  • Plucky Girl: Even with everything that goes on, on the cat twin and wolf path she still tries to fix the problems of the country and keep a positive attitude.
  • The Pollyanna: She goes through so much throughout the game, and still tries to see the bright side of things.
  • Replacement Goldfish: Ultimately, Mejojo is only interested in her because Fiona resembled his former dead fiance Elvira, who was Fiona's cousin.
  • A Scar to Remember: On the cat twin route, Mejojo and Auger give her a brand on the back of her neck so she won't forget that she belongs to them.
  • Sheltered Aristocrat: Due to being locked up in a tower her whole life and given very little information of the outside world, she is very much this. This backfired on her in several ways throughout the game, be it in "Bloody Nightmare" or in "Last Hope".
  • Sneaky Departure: She makes one of these on the cat path, where she has Arles and the wolves sneak her out of their territory so she can go back to the palace and confront the cat twins. She doesn't want Nesso or Zara to know what she's doing, because she knows they'll try and stop her.
  • So Beautiful, It's a Curse: She partially gains Mejojo's obsession by her looks, which leads to him kicking off the events of the whole game just to get her.
  • Stepford Smiler: Of the depressed type, depending on endings. On several, including Mejojo's good ending and the twin good ending, she comes across as this. She is heavily in denial about Nesso and Zara's deaths, and chooses to ignore it so she can continue to be happy.
  • Strong Family Resemblance: Several characters remark on how similar she looks to her cousin Elvira.
  • A Taste of the Lash: She gets rather brutally whipped as a punishment by Mejojo on his route.
  • Wide-Eyed Idealist: Especially on the cat path, when she goes back to the castle to try and persuade the cat twins out of destroying the wolves. It doesn't go so well. She only sheds this in the other routes and also in "Last Hope" to some degree.

The Cat Path

    Mejojo Garibaldi

Voiced by: Takahiro Sakurai (Japanese)

Mejojo Garibaldi

Heir to the throne and twin brother of Auger, who is his second in command. He tries multiple times for an Arranged Marriage with The Heroine Fiona, who he is obsessed with and will do whatever it takes to get her to the palace under his control. He is manipulative and ruthless when it comes to achieving his goals.

  • Abduction Is Love: He makes up false charges in order to kidnap Fiona to the castle, and keeps her locked up there.
  • Abusive Parents: His mother did love him and his brother, but it was so obsessive that it lead to her tricking them into being involved with her suicide.
  • All Take and No Give: His relationship with Fiona, with the giver being Mejojo. He wants her all to himself, and to be completely dependent on him so that she can never leave him.
  • Always Second Best: After he lost Elvira to Arles, this is how he feels about Fiona if she chooses someone else and why he pursues her so relentlessly.
  • Always Someone Better: He feels like this towards Arles, who he felt looked down on him and who his father preferred over him.
  • Ambition Is Evil: Mejojo is completely driven by his ambition, hurts and kills many people on his quest to gain the throne, and tries to start a genocide against the wolves.
  • And Now You Must Marry Me: Does this to Fiona after she is brought to the castle.
  • Aristocrats Are Evil: He and his brother are sons of the king, so they are both princes. They also will not hesitate to kill anyone who stands in their way.
  • Berserk Button: Any mention of Arles, the Wolf King, will cause him to lose his temper and explode in anger. Additionally, anyone mentioning that the wolves should live will also set him off due to his Fantastic Racism.
  • Broken Ace: He is a member of the royal family, due to become the next king. He is intelligent, powerful, and can have anything he wants. But his Inferiority Superiority Complex drives him to want even more, including Fiona in his grasp and married to him, and the Final Solution of the wolves.
  • Cain and Abel: Is murdered by his brother on Auger's route, in both the good and bad ends.
  • The Chessmaster: At the age of 16, he is able to manipulate his father, the king, to start a war against the wolves to exterminate them. Nobody suspects him of doing it, and he goes on to pin the blame on his father for starting it.
  • Combat Pragmatist: When accused of being a coward by Arles for using his knights to kill him instead of fighting him one on one, Mejojo agrees and says that the winner is the one who lives. He also uses cannons against the wolves on the wolf path when he goes to attack their base in the woods.
  • Control Freak: He wants to become king so he can control everyone and prevent them from ever hurting him and his brother again. He also wants Fiona married to him and completely under his control.
  • Cynicism Catalyst: He and his brother had a big catalyst after their mother's suicide, where they decided they were no longer going to allow the king and his consort to push them around. This leads to them Jumping Off the Slippery Slope.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: This is very much the case. Mejojo and his brother were the sons of the king's concubines, and the king's consort saw them as a threat to her son's rule. She constantly tried to assassinate them, their mother wasn't in the position to help, and nobody in the palace would dare to cross the king's consort. In a fit of despair, their mother hung herself and got the twins to unknowingly help. This caused the twins to snap and decide to seize power for themselves.
  • Determinator: Nothing will stop him from seizing the throne for himself, exterminating the wolves, and marrying Fiona.
  • Driven by Envy: He hates the fact that he lost his fiancee to Arles, and sets out in a campaign to kill him and his wolves.
  • Evil Chancellor: He's this before he assassinates his father and becomes king. He and his twin brother have all the power, but they keep their father around as a fall guy.
  • The Evil Prince: He is the son of his father's concubine, which means he will be passed up for the throne by the son of the king and his wife. He will stop at nothing to claim the throne for himself.
  • Eye Scream: On the cat path, Arles takes his right eye during the final battle.
  • Fantastic Racism: He despises the wolf race, and considers them lesser beings. He refers to them as filthy animals who need to be put down, and even says that merely being a wolf is a sin. He uses this rationale to justify to the humans why the wolves all need to die.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: His primary motivation for wanting to marry Fiona is because years ago, he lost her cousin to Arles and feels like getting the heroine to marry him will fix it. He is also very possessive and jealous in general towards anyone in Fiona's life.
  • I Have You Now, My Pretty: Mejojo makes several comments about "finally having Fiona in his grasp" once he gets her to the palace.
  • I Just Want to Be Loved: Due to his Always Second Best complex, a big reason for his interest in Fiona is that he wants someone who will be completely his, and he does not care what he has to do to get it.
  • Implied Love Interest: Most of the promotional material has him front and center with Fiona, and the entire game revolves more around the cats than the wolves.
  • Inferiority Superiority Complex: Mejojo comes across as absolutely confident in his abilities and arrogant. But because of his Dark and Troubled Past, Parental Neglect, and his fiance choosing someone else, he has major Always Someone Better syndrome. This leads him to horrible acts in order to wipe out his enemies and gain power.
  • Karma Houdini: On the cat path ending, he faces no consequence from his actions and gets everything he wants. This includes him remaining as the king, the Final Solution of the wolves, and finally having The Heroine Fiona under his thumb and married to him.
  • Laughing Mad: Has a few moments of this, most notably on Arles route when he is about to be killed.
  • Love Hungry: Being a Yandere who wants The Heroine Fiona more than anything, he counts as this. He wants someone who will be entirely his, and as such, he goes to great lengths to get Fiona for himself.
  • Mirror Character: He is a bit of a parallel to Arles, despite their hatred for each other. Mejojo tries to destroy the wolves because of Arles attacking him, and Arles tries to destroy the humans because of the humans attacking the wolves. They are both so filled with hatred for each other that as Fiona puts it, they're only continuing the spiral of hatred.
  • Manipulative Bastard: He manipulates everyone he comes across, even his own brother on occasion. He is also always manipulating and Gaslighting Fiona into wanting to marry and stay with him.
  • Never Be Hurt Again: One of his stated reasons for doing the extreme measures he takes, due to his Dark and Troubled Past.
  • Not Good with Rejection: The entire plot of the game starts off because Mejojo can't handle the fact that the Galland family keeps turning down his marriage proposals to The Heroine Fiona. In addition, he snapped and tried to Murder the Hypotenuse when his fiancee Elvira chose Arles over him, leading to her jumping in front of Arles to perform a Heroic Sacrifice.
  • Parental Neglect: The twins talk about how their father never looked at or cared for them at all, and that he was solely focused on Julian, his half sibling and the heir to the throne.
  • Royal Blood: He's the son of the king and his concubine.
  • Royal Rapier: He's a prince that uses a rapier as his primary weapon.
  • Scars Are Forever: He bears a scar down his forehead from an attack by Arles.
  • Self-Made Orphan: He kills off his dad after he's served his purpose, and takes over the throne.
  • Stalker with a Crush: He goes to great lengths to get Fiona, including framing her as a witch and threatening her family. When she runs away, he sends out numerous knights to bring her back.
  • The Un-Favourite: To both Julian and Arles in the eyes of his father.
  • Unusual Ears: Has small cat ears that twitch when he's embarrassed.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: He and his brother both cared deeply about their mother and tried to help her any way they could. And then she kills herself and made them help, and they snapped and decided to take revenge.
  • The Usurper: After his mother kills herself, he vows that he and his brother must survive by taking the throne for himself. This leads to him making sure his half sibling Julian becomes the Disinherited Child, and gradually becomes the Evil Chancellor to his father until he assassinates him and seizes the throne for himself.
  • Villainous Crush: He is obsessed with Fiona and will do whatever it takes to keep her.
  • Would Hit a Girl: He has no problem with whipping Fiona as punishment for running away, and making her understand that she belongs to him. He also kills off female wolves just as easily as the males.
  • Yandere: He is this to Fiona, who he believes belongs to him. He wants to marry her, and so he orchestrates a plan to get her to the castle. After she flees, he sends his men out to look for her until they bring her back. On his good ending and the twin good ending, he locks her up once he has her in an open air garden for the rest of her life. Fiona notes that he is calm with her right now, but if she were to escape again, he would slip back into madness to recapture her.

    Auger Garibaldi

Auger Garibaldi

A cat prince and twin brother of Mejojo. He seems careless and charming, but he is just as manipulative as his brother. He acts as the court musician, but it is really a front for him being Mejojo's assassin. He has no desire for the throne, finding it boring, and prefers to follow along with whatever his brother wants.

  • Abusive Parents: Their mother did love them, but it was so obsessive that it let to her tricking them into being involved with her suicide.
  • Aristocrats Are Evil: Same as his brother Mejojo, he will stop at nothing to help his brother become king.
  • The Bard: He acts as the court musician, although this is really only a front to throw people off from the fact that he is his brother Mejojo's personal assassin.
  • Big Brother Worship: He worships his brother to the point that when Mejojo puts his Royal Rapier through his forehead, he is happy that Mejojo chose to give him the same scar he has.
  • Blatant Lies: He's fond of using this to distract people from his more subtle lies, or simply to Troll and taunt them.
  • Break Them by Talking: One of his favorite methods of torture. He does this to Fiona on the cat path, when she chooses him to punish her instead of Mejojo by taunting her into believing it is all her fault that Julian died.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: He's just as intelligent and manipulative as his brother, but he doesn't want to become king because of the work involved.
  • Cain and Abel: On his own route, in both endings, he murders his twin brother. On his good ending, it's to get Fiona. On his bad ending, it's because his brother lost his touch and became boring.
  • Cynicism Catalyst: The same as his twin brother, which was what led to him supporting his brother in his quest to claim the throne.
  • Chessmaster Sidekick: He's perfectly content being second in command to his brother, and helps him come up with and fulfill his plans.
  • Consummate Liar: Generally, you can never trust Auger to tell the truth, and even when he does, he throws in a few lies in order to twist and manipulate the person he's talking to. He is also a big fan of Gaslighting, especially when it comes to Julian and Fiona.
  • Creepy Twins: He and his brother are both psychotic and creepy, often playing off each other to manipulate or kill people.
  • The Creon: Due to being Brilliant, but Lazy, he has no desire for the work that being on the throne would involve. He even relinquishes it publicly in favor of his brother, when he is called on to do so in front of the court.
  • Dark and Troubled Past: Same as his twin brother Mejojo.
  • Deadpan Snarker: Of the darker, more vicious variety.
  • Defiant to the End: On Arles good ending, he is defiant even when Arles is about to kill him by spitting at him and telling him to go ahead and do it unless he's a coward.
  • The Dragon: Is the second in command to his brother, content to let him do the ruling of the kingdom while he has the fun of doing his dirty work. After Mejojo becomes king, Auger becomes his prime minster.
  • Evil Feels Good: He often talks about how much fun he has doing terrible things, like torturing and breaking Julian, and breaking Fiona's heart when Broken Bird Julian betrays them in the sewers.
  • Even Bad Men Love Their Mamas: He is a terrible person, but he seems to genuinely love his mother and thinks of her fondly.
  • Faux Affably Evil: He puts on a mask of being the cheerful, carefree brother of Mejojo. In reality, he is even more ruthless than Mejojo and just as intelligent.
  • Horrifying the Horror: When his brother Mejojo is punishing him for a failure, he puts his Royal Rapier through Auger's forehead. Auger proves to be Too Kinky to Torture however and enjoys it a bit too much, which leaves Mejojo to comment that "honestly, you're crazy enough to unsettle me."
  • In Love with Your Carnage: Implied as this with his brother. He loves the murder and chaos that his brother causes to the point that on his bad ending where Mejojo loses his desire and motivation to continue killing, Auger murders him because he has become boring and it's better for him to simply die.
  • It Amused Me: His primary reason for doing most things. If it amuses him, he does it. If it bores him, then he stops or attempts to liven it up by causing more chaos.
  • Lack of Empathy: He never shows any shred of remorse for all of the terrible things that he does.
  • Loves the Sound of Screaming: He mentions several times that he loves the sound of screaming when he breaks someone.
  • Manipulative Bastard: Like his brother, he is just as manipulative, and also sets people up to be manipulated further by his twin brother. He also puts up an Obfuscating Stupidity act to trick people into trusting him, so that he can mess with their minds later.
  • Narcissist: Auger only cares about himself and his own amusement, and when he gets bored he tends to cause trouble to make things exciting again.
  • Number Two: He's the number two to his twin brother Mejojo, and one of the few people that Mejojo trusts. After Mejojo becomes king, Auger becomes his prime minster.
  • Obfuscating Stupidity: He uses this to his advantage a lot. Most people in the castle think that he's just the silly, carefree twin brother of Mejojo. In reality, he is just as cunning as Mejojo and willing to do all his dirty work. He comments at one point that he loves it when people get fooled by his attitude.
  • Parental Neglect: The twins talk about how their father never looked at or cared for them at all, and that he was solely focused on Julian, the heir to the throne.
  • Perpetual Smiler: Auger is essentially always smiling, but this is mostly due to his Obfuscating Stupidity and Troll like attitude.
  • Psycho Supporter: He goes along with anything his brother wants to do because it lets him murder and manipulate.
  • Psychotic Smirk: Has the habit of doing this quite a bit.
  • Royal Blood: He's the son of the king and his concubine.
  • Smug Snake: He is always laughing and smirking at others, looks down on everybody but his brother, and finds most people stupid.
  • The Sociopath: He has absolutely no morals and has a Lack of Empathy for anything, and does whatever amuses him.
  • Too Kinky to Torture: In addition to being a full on Sadist, he also has masochistic tendencies. Although the animal races like he is have sensitive ears, he has his pierced. When his brother Mejojo puts his Royal Rapier through Auger's forehead, he ends up enjoying it too much, describing how intense and pleasurable the pain is.
  • Trickster Twins: Very dark examples, but they work together extremely well to manipulate and trick everyone they come across.
  • Troll: Of the darker variety. He likes to poke and mock people to observe their reactions, and gets great amusement out of them snapping or breaking.
  • Twin Banter: Does this with his brother a lot, including finishing each other's lines and playing off each other.
  • The Unapologetic: Auger never apologizes for any of the horrific things he does.
  • The Unfettered: There is nothing that Auger won't do if he believes it will be amusing or will cause chaos, and will stop at nothing to help his brother Mejojo seize the throne.
  • Unusual Ears: Has small cat ears.
  • Used to Be a Sweet Kid: He and his brother both cared deeply about their mother, and a flashback even has Auger going to the king's consort and begging for Mejojo's life. And then their mother was Driven to Suicide and made them help, and they snapped and decided to take revenge.
  • Would Hit a Girl: Like his brother, he has no problem with whipping Fiona as punishment for running away.

The Family Path

Nesso Galland

Is the older brother of Fiona, and the lead knight of Weblin. He commands the the winged knights, The Gefreiter, and his men are extremely loyal to him. He is close to Zara, the family doctor and butler, and is in love with Fiona and wants to marry her.

  • Always Save the Girl: Nothing else matters to him but Fiona being safe. To the point that on the cat path, he rushes into a Suicide Mission just for the chance to try and save her.
  • Big Brother Instinct: He is very protective towards Fiona, although he does see her as more than a sister. He even became a knight of Weblin solely so that he could better protect her.
  • Blood-Splattered Warrior: His sprite is shown blood splattered quite a bit during fight scenes, as he is the Master Swordsman of the group.
  • Brilliant, but Lazy: He remarks that he only became lead knight of Weblin to protect Fiona, and that he is actually quite lazy and would rather escape with Fiona than try to help the country.
  • Brother–Sister Incest: He is in love with his little sister, and wants to marry her. On his own route, he succeeds.
  • Career-Ending Injury: On his good ending, his fall from the cliff and rocks crushing him leaves him permanently disabled, making him unable to continue being a knight. Instead of being upset about it however, he doesn't really mind as that means he's dependent on his sister taking care of him.
  • Childhood Marriage Promise: He made one with Fiona when she was very young, although she does not remember until he reminds her during his route.
  • A Father to His Men: Nesso seems to be this to those under his command, who all respect him greatly. They even come to his aid when Fiona is taken to the castle in order to help, even though they were not ordered to do so by Nesso.
  • The Gloves Come Off: Has a moment of this when he is going with Fiona to see the wolves. Guillan attacks the group, and he holds back in order to disable him so they can talk. When Guillan goes to attack Fiona, however, Nesso remarks that he took away the only reason he had to hold back. He then proceeds to wipe the floor with him.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: He is very possessive of his sister Fiona, and gets extremely jealous when she shows too much interest in anyone but him, or if anyone else tries to claim her themselves.
  • Knight Templar Big Brother: He is absolutely vicious towards anyone who threatens his sister, to the point that he's willing to go against the royalty of the country he serves. Bonus points for being an actual knight.
  • Master Swordsman: Is widely considered to be the best swordsman in the country, even a Worthy Opponent by the villains who admit they couldn't beat him in a sword fight. When he tells his men he wants to reward them for helping out when they didn't have to, they simply ask for him to train them to be better swordsmen.
  • My Sister Is Off-Limits: Has this attitude towards Mejojo trying to marry his sister, and constantly refuses his proposals to her.
  • Punch-Clock Hero: When Fiona asks him why he's okay with fleeing the country he serves as a knight, he tells her he doesn't really care about the country and that he only joined to be able to protect her.
  • Significant Green-Eyed Redhead: He's Fiona's overprotective older brother, and has red hair and green eyes.
  • Tranquil Fury: He has a few moments of these, mostly anytime his sister Fiona is threatened. Of particular note is when The Gloves Come Off when he fights Ax-Crazy Guillan, after he attacks Fiona. Fiona remarks that his voice got very calm, and she could feel his cold rage.
  • Undying Loyalty: Towards his sister, Fiona. It's partly Big Brother Instinct and partly because he wants to marry her. He will throw anything away, including his home, knighthood, and life, as long as he can rescue Fiona.
  • World's Best Warrior: He is the Lead Knight of Weblin, and considered to be the best fighter in the country.
  • Yandere: He's this towards Fiona. He's obsessive to the point that it was his idea to lock her away in the tower, so that he can have her nearby and protect her easier. In his good ending, he talks about making another tower for just the two of them to live in.

  • Righteous Rabbit: He is of the Rabbit race, and is a genuinely good person.
  • Team Mom: He very much acts like this to the Galland family, and even Julian once he joins them. He is always trying to calm everyone down from fights, acting as The Medic and taking care of everyone's health, and
  • The Smart Guy: He is the most intelligent of the team, and is actually a doctor.
  • Sword Cane: He carries around a cane at all times, with a sword hidden in it in case he needs to fight.

  • Laughing Mad: He has a full, laughing breakdown in the sewers after Auger leaves, and has to be slapped out of it by Fiona.
  • Madness Mantra: He has a few of these when Auger is around, including the repeated "please forgive me", and an especially chilling one on his good ending path, where he can't stop repeating that he is "garbage." On his bad ending, his mantra is I am Auger's toy, which he cannot stop repeating.

Arles V. Felnoir

Formerly a wolf knight under King Garibaldi VI, he is now an exile and acts as King of the Wolves. Arles is a very cold and serious person. He fell in love with Mejojo's fiancee Elvira, but developed zodiva shortly afterwards. He went into a rage and attacked and bit Elvira, and was discovered mid attack by Mejojo. Mejojo attacked him, but Elvira got into the way to save Arles and was killed. Arles fled, and now has Unstoppable Rage towards Mejojo.

  • Animorphism: Turns into a large white and purple wolf.
  • Badass Longcoat: He wears a very long, purple colored coat that flares out around him.
  • Do with Him as You Will: He has a moment of this on Julian's true ending, where he decides not to push for Mejojo and Auger's death because he realizes Julian intends to imprison and torture them as revenge for the Cold-Blooded Torture he received.
  • Earn Your Title: Arles earned the name "The Silver Wolf and the Salvation of the Country", after he saved King Garibaldi VI during a war.
  • Fatal Flaw: On the cat path, he doesn't realize that the cats have already planned for his strategy because he used it on a previous attack of the castle. He also thinks Mejojo will be fair and fight him in a one on one battle. He is wrong, and dies for it.
  • Heartbroken Badass: His fiancee was killed in front of him because she broke up her engagement with someone else to be with him. Also serves as his My Greatest Failure moment.
  • Hemo Erotic: In his good ending epilogue, it's mentioned that Arles likes to bite Fiona and drink her blood and that Fiona enjoys it as well.
  • Icy Blue Eyes: His eyes are so distinctive that Fiona recognizes them when she meets him as a human, after meeting his wolf form.

  • Long-Haired Pretty Boy: He has very long silver hair, and is very much a bishonen.
  • Master Swordsman: Was formerly the Lead Knight of Weblin, until events happened before the start of the game.
  • Mirror Character: He is a bit of a parallel to Mejojo, despite their hatred for each other. Mejojo tries to destroy the wolves because of Arles attacking him, and Arles tries to destroy the humans because of the humans attacking the wolves. They are both so filled with hatred for each other that as Fiona puts it, they're only continuing the spiral of hatred.
  • My Greatest Failure: Letting his fiancee die to Mejojo is something that he deeply regrets.
  • Parental Substitute: With Guillan. It's noticed by several characters that Arles comes across as the parent to Guillan, who seeks his praise and attention.
  • Purple Is Powerful: He's the King of the Wolves, and his outfit has a lot of purple accents. His hair also has purple tones, and his wolf form is purple and white.
  • Then Let Me Be Evil: Arles has this attitude towards humans, saying that if everyone thinks the wolves are cursed, then he will make them just as cursed. It's what leads him and his wolves to attack human villages.
  • Unusual Ears: He has wolf ears in his human form, the same color as his hair.
  • White Hair, Black Heart: He has long white hair, and while he's not entirely evil, he does use his wolves to destroy human villages as payback for what they did to them.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: He can turn into a wolf at will.

Rath Vogart

The little brother of Arles Felnoir. He is very quiet and reserved, and is the wolf that is most reluctant to kill humans. He has been infected by zodiva and has a hard time controlling his urge to kill.

  • A Day in the Limelight: In "Last Hope", he is the centric character and Implied Love Interest due to the effects of him finding Fiona and taking her out of her home first before Auger and Mejojo could get to her.
  • Animorphism: Turns into a large white wolf.

  • Insecure Love Interest: He believes that he doesn't deserve happiness and doesn't much like himself. On his own path, Fiona decides to prove him wrong.

  • The Quiet One: He tends to be on the quiet side, and lets his brother Arles do the talking most of the time.
  • Red Right Hand: One eye is blue, and the other one under his Eyepatch of Power is a grayish color, due to being infected by zodiva.

    Guillan Guinor

Guillan Guinor

Is a member of the wolf pack and fiercely loyal to Arles, who treats him like a son. He is the one that is most excited to kill and get revenge on the humans, and will not hesitate to torture for information. He has a childish personality, and a strong desire to be praised and be useful to Arles.

  • Anger Born of Worry: His anger, specifically towards his pack, comes across like this sometimes. He gets mad at Rath when he takes too long to come back from a scout mission. He also yells that Fiona has made them leave the castle and then have to go back before it gets too cold...however, it is simply because he's worried about her getting sick from her status.
  • Animorphism: Turns into a small reddish colored wolf.
  • Ax-Crazy: He really enjoys killing and torturing people, and gets excited when Arles lets him.
  • Blatant Lies: Has a humorous example on his own route. When he wants to drink blood from Fiona, she points out that he's not sick and does not need her blood. He goes full Large Ham by insisting that he has so much zodiva, and that he's suffering and she needs to make it up to him. Fiona does not buy it.
  • Blood Knight: He absolutely loves fighting and is always bugging Arles to let him attack towns.
  • Blood-Splattered Warrior: As he is Ax-Crazy, he is fittingly shown covered in blood, even over his face.
  • Brutal Honesty: Guillan does not hold back from his true thoughts, and tends to be outright harsh at times. It does not mean, however, that he doesn't care about his pack.
  • Challenge Seeker: He comments at one point that it is boring when the enemies are too weak and don't put up a good fight, and really wants to attack the royal palace for a challenge.
  • Crazy Jealous Guy: On his route, he is very clingy toward Fiona and doesn't want her far away from him. He also remarks that she doesn't need to look at any of the other wolves, because she belongs to him. He even bites her at one point to mark her, and scents her so that everyone knows she's his.
  • Cute Little Fangs: In his human form, he has noticeable fangs when he smiles.
  • Desperately Craves Affection: Guillan definitely comes across as this. He constantly asks for praise and is the most clingy and physically affectionate of the love interests.
  • Eye-Obscuring Hat: His hat is pulled down enough that his left eye is always obscured.
  • Green-Eyed Monster: Guillan is very possessive of Fiona, and gets very jealous when she pays too much attention to the other wolves.
  • Hot-Blooded: Guillan is incredibly hot blooded, and never resists an opportunity to jump into a fight.
  • If I Can't Have You…: On his bad ending, he bites Fiona in the neck as a Taking You with Me move, because she is not allowed to be with anyone but him. They bleed out curled up together.
  • Intimate Marks: He has what looks to be a barbed wire/chain tattoo on his upper leg that wraps all the way around his thigh.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold: He comes across as crazy and murderous, but when Fiona joins the wolf pack on the wolf route, he takes her under his wing and is genuinely nice and comforting to her.
  • Heroic Comedic Sociopath: Ax-Crazy Guillan takes so much happiness out of fighting and killing that it circles back around to being hilarious. Especially when he kills and tortures someone and then asks for praise from his Parental Substitute Arles.
  • Number Two: He acts as the second in command to Arles, doing a lot of the dirty work.
  • Psychopathic Manchild: He is very much a murderer who helps Arles raid villages, but he comes across as a child eager for praise.
  • Rings of Death: He uses chakrams as his main weapon, which he is apparently very skilled with.
  • Supernatural Gold Eyes: He is a werewolf that has golden eyes.
  • Take Up My Sword: He does this on his true ending, taking up the sword of Arles as a symbolic move to represent that he'll take care of the wolves in Arles' place as the new King of the Wolves.
  • Taking You with Me: On his bad ending he quotes this trope almost word for word as he kills Fiona, because she belongs to him.
  • Torture for Fun and Information: Guillan really seems to enjoy Cold-Blooded Torture, even if he is trying to get information.
  • Undying Loyalty: To Arles, who he seems to look up to as a father figure, and his pack, who he will die for.
  • Unusual Ears: He has wolf ears in his human form, the same color as his hair.
  • Voluntary Shapeshifting: He can also turn into a wolf at will.
  • Vitriolic Best Buds: With Rath. He insults and argues with Rath sometimes, but he's the first one to propose rescuing Rath when he's taken by the cat twins. And on the cat path, he crawls to the entrance of the palace as he's dying to convince Rath to run away and save himself. This leads to him performing a Heroic Sacrifice, using his body to block the guards from seeing Rath and realizing that there are still wolves alive.
  • Yandere: He is a very possessive, jealous, and clingy romance on his route, not wanting to Fiona to leave him or look at the other wolves. In his bad ending, he gets mortally wounded and tears open Fiona's neck in a Taking You Down With Me moment because If He Can't Have Her, then he'd rather her die alongside him.
