Ask the Tropers:
openPotential edit war Anime
Troper AbsoluteSword reverted one of the changes I made to Laid-Back Camp. While this could be sorted in discussions or private message, I noticed that said troper has a history of edit warring and grammatical issues, hence my wondering if any additional action might be required.
openRelated to Locked Page
I know that locked pages (those which can't be edited) are usually as such for a good reason, but is it possible to mention said work in a trope's page (trope displayed in said work of course) safely? I thought I should have asked before doing anything, just in case.
openTeen Titans Go Vs Teen Titans
https://www.syfy.com/syfywire/sdcc-world-premiere-teen-titans-go-vs-teen-titans
Hello there. I was wondering if a page for "Teen Titans Go Vs Teen Titans" could be made. There's a trailer and a confirmed date.
Edited by jessicadicicco610openPage cut a little hastily. Web Original
The page WebAnimation.Other Friendship Is Magic Fan Vids has recently been cut with the edit reason "Per thread, low quality and has several ZCEs."
However, said thread barely discuss the page, and Fighteer's one answer wasn't leaning toward a cut.
I remember reading this page, and I don't think it was so bad that it needed to be cut outright, unlike a lot of stubs. Maybe it needed a clean-up, but nothing more.
Also, the cut was done halfway, since all the subpages remain.
What do you think? Should it be restored?
open Which is It? Videogame
I have a question: Is it possible for a boss to be That One Boss and an Anti-Climax Boss at the same time?
The subject is both the aforementioned examples concerning the dual boss battle against Klaus and Crymaria in chapter 15 of Valkyria Chronicles 4. The YMMV page lists them as That One Boss, yet the Anti Climax Boss example (which I added) includes a link to YT video proving they can both be taken out laughably easy in only 1-turn.
So which trope actually applies?
openBorderline Edit War on Andrzej Sapkowski Literature
The trope section of Creator.Andrzej Sapkowski is in large parts dedicated to bashing the author for various grievances that seem mostly to revolve around the author's negative commentary resp. legal battles regarding various adaptations of his works, and the author supposedly generally being an avaricious hypocrite (source: TV Tropes).
While the entire page could certainly need a big clean-up, an almost-Edit War has lately ignited over the following example of Disowned Adaptation:
- The Hexer movie. Sapkowski euphemistically expressed his negative opinion about the film: "I can answer only with a single word, an obscene, albeit a short one". What he carefully "forgets" to mention nowadays is the big pile of money he so eagerly took for selling the rights for adaptation and then started slandering the production the moment he realized there will be no second tranche of money. While the film is a disaster, Sapkowski is doing his best over the years to pretend he didn't help make it in such form in the first place.
Recently troper Revolutionary_Jack removed the last sentence of the entry, with the, in my opinion very reasonable, edit reason that
The deletion was restored (with a slight expansion regarding the author's "messy and utterly pointless copyright battle") by Dratewka. I myself got then involved by cutting everything after Sapkowski's statement on the movie, on the grounds of it not actually belonging there in the first place.
Dratewka has again reverted the example, the only change being a further expansion in form of a lengthy note, the point of which seems to be the argument that the author is to be blamed for the movie being bad. Edit reason:

I'd be glad for other tropers or a mod to weigh in.
Edited by LordGroopenUnreleased Work Speculation Cleanup
Hi, guys. There seems to be a problem on the Unreleased Work Speculation Cleanup thread. A troper called Spurious Vulture has expressed concerns about the recent approach regarding the addition of tropes for future works.
Can someone please look into this or is it unnecessary at this point? Thanks.
Edited by gjjonesopenTotally-not-obsessed-fan
Totally-not-obsessed-fan is a total problem. While they only edit WMG pages, they have a lot of run-on sentences and an almost complete lack of commas. They also have a bad serial editing problem - only two edits in the current history of WMG.Steven Universe The Movie, for example, aren't from them. I sent them a grammar notifier yesterday, but their edits have continued unchanged.

Red Button Interactive. Useful Notes, or trope?
It's sectioning makes me think Useful Notes.
openProblem troper
Tropers/Dutchtica has problems with ZCE's, misplaced tropes, and Justifying Edits.
Here their entry for Tank Goodness is a ZCE.
Here they add The Movie and Secretly Rich into a trivia page.
Here they add in a justifying edit with the reason "I know. I'm from around there."
Here they have some ZCE's.
And a few ZCE's here, alongside Serial Tweaking.
They've been reported before several years ago, if that matters.
Edited by iamconstantineopen Hotlink problems?
Hello, I recently made a edit to the Marvel vs Capcom 2 YMMV page deleting a example included in the Critical Research Failure section because Venom being colored light blue actually was a thing in the comics during the 90s but when I wrote my reasoning which included a image example of a light blue Venom from the Marvel wiki I found out that my image example was removed and in it's place was a message saying no hotlinked images please. From what I understand (and going through a quick rundown of the rules again to check if I accidentally broke one) using a image as proof should be okay. So did I miss something? Thank you for the help.
openApproved image change?
The image for Steven Universe has been changed by Keys Washer, and I'm wondering if it was approved or not? Their edit reason only says that the poster is better.
They also have other problems, as their other edits here, here, and here have poor grammar, and they've added a ZCE here.
Edited by iamconstantineresolved Troper PhionixPowers
Recently, Phionix Powers add some troublesome entry in Real Life pages.
It's ZCE. Wordy, but not explain what the trope is about.
This was added as two bullets entry of Ascended Extra. Not only it's bad Example Indentation in Trope Lists, but also misused.
From YMMV.Real Life
I sent ZCE and Indentation notifiers to them already, but it's clear that they're clueless. Doesn't help at all that their edit reason is mostly "Remove if necessary."
openLong-term problematic troper, potential edit war Videogame
The troper Marioguy 128 is going around all of the pages related to Splatoon 2 and deleting anything relating to it being better than the original game, or even just good in its own right, because "it's not representative of everyone's opinions." He has done nothing but add negative, complain-y edits in return. At this point I'm sick of dealing with him. Just check my last edit summary for Splatoon. Needlessly harsh, yeah, but I was frustrated.
Last year, right after the Octo Expansion came out, he made some edits to the YMMV page for Splatoon 2 so he could complain about the design of Agent 8 and the design and personality of Marina, labeling them "creepy" and "sexist". He then got into a huge spat on the Splatoon forum thread when they called him out on it, claiming that "it's not representative of everyone's opinions." (i.e. he and one or two people on other forums/streamers think so, ergo it's fact.) He's been a problem for quite some time.
Edited by MidnaopenNo Title
FunctionalMagic.Marvel Cinematic Fanfiction Universe was recently made, and it doesn't seem to fit the trope Functional Magic, being used as a roll call of spells instead.
Edited by lalalei2001
There's that title again...
This time, it's Owah. I first noticed them when they created this glorious page and its equally amazing character page, and though they've edited like crazy today, they've not responded to any PM's I've sent about issues. They seem to have a ZCE problem specifically, taking the Talking Tom And Friends pages into account and these other edits. Granted, a good lot of their edits are pretty decent, but the pattern concerns me, as does their apparent disregard for my P Ms— it's possible they did read them, since they did fix one problem I had and put the page on an index, but they never fixed the ZCE problem, and instead just made the character's page.
