This thread is for requesting edits or unlocks to Locked Pages or for requesting locks. It can also be used for technical requests to moderators such as:
- creating new pages in the Main/ and other restricted namespaces without going through Trope Launch Pad
- moving discussion pages
- moving reviews
Please keep the following guidelines in mind:
- Check Locked Pages and Permanent Red Link Club first. They can provide guidance on what are good and bad requests.
- Include working links in your request to the page(s) in question.
- If asking for edits, state your changes exactly as they should appear on the page, including proper Example Indentation, namespacing, and pothole and quote formatting. And make sure that what you want to add is actually a valid example.
- We do not edit archived articles, even to correct links.
- If you need to have the capitalization of a page title or namespace of a work fixed, ask here
.
- If you need to remove a ghost wick, go here.
- To request a page to be moved along with its history, go here.
- Some locked pages have ongoing cleanup threads, like Complete Monster (Thread), Five-Man Band (Thread), and Magnificent Bastard (Thread). Other than purely technical requests, edits to these pages ought to be discussed in these threads first.
- Also, we do not do direct edits (other than changing wicks) to Magnificent Bastard or Complete Monster example lists. Rather, you need to do the edit to a sandbox page that follows the format Sandbox.Magnificent Bastard<Name of the example subpage> and Sandbox.Monster<Name of the example subpage> (e.g for Monster.Disney it's Sandbox.Monster Disney) and ask for it to be swapped in on Saturday for Magnificent Bastard and on Monday for Complete Monster.
- Inappropriate pages that keep being recreated, pages banned under The Content Policy and subpages that are disallowed (like Headscratchers pages for tropes) are valid reasons for requesting page locks.

Done I'm not sure that is a good idea. Creating New Redirects says not to make definite article redirects to trope names, using "TheTsundere" to Tsundere as an example. This is the same thing in reverse, and the primary purpose of trope redirects is searchability, not ease of linking.

Done to here. Incidentally, is Dark Is Not Evil really the correct pothole for the "Daedric Prince of Dusk and Dawn" string in The Elder Scrolls? I don't know about that setting but elsewhere dusk and dawn aren't associated with darkness, rather they are a Liminal Time which doesn't have the same "dark is evil" associations as the night.

- Forgot About His Powers: There needs to be a better explanation than "they forgot" for characters not using their powers that could easily solve a problem.
- Informed Flaw: If a character is said to have a flaw, show the flaw affecting the story or character in some way instead of just telling the audience.

- A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge: The only canonically gay character is Coach Schneider, who goes to gay bars. When he's there, he picks up Jesse, forces him to run laps around the gym, and then seems to be about to assault him when Freddy kills him. There's the added element that Jesse himself is Ambiguously Gay and he spends a lot of time being possessed by a child molester and murderer.

For YMMV.Death Battle, can somebody please remove the potholes to Completely Missing The Point? I'm cleaning up the wicks for the latter (per TRS Wick Cleaning), and it's very much misused in that context (as it doesn't fit Comically Missing the Point or Dramatically Missing the Point).
