The crowner's been open for almost a month. Isn't it safe to call?
Patiently awaiting the release of Paper Luigi and the Marvelous Compass.Yep, let's call in favor of keeping the trope off YMMV.

she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportIn regards to this, encouraging, endorsing, or praising immoral/illegal actions isn't this trope as it's about unpleasant, undesirable truths while this treats them as pleasant and desirable.
It only counts as a Hard Truth Aesop if it treats the immoral/illegal actions as a Shoot the Dog; still reprehensible, discouraged, to be avoided if possible, and with consequence but sometimes unfortunately necessary which doesn't make it any more praise-worthy or desirable.
What should be done with the link to Family Unfriendly Aesop on Values Dissonance? Should we remove it or change it to a link to Unfortunate Implications?

That seems like a good idea. Adding a note to the description should be sufficient.
Hmmm...that could work.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI think we should keep the trope on the YMMV pages because it fits there perfectly. Who agrees with me?
5 people. 23 people disagree.
We had a crowner vote, it's not YMMV anymore, and it's too late to try and change that.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessGuess I'll get started on removing it from the YMMV pages I frequent.
Vegeta: I'm back bitches!Found this in YMMV.Thirteen Reasons Why.
Family-Unfriendly Aesop: Imagine how these tapes would haunt the individuals for the rest of their lives. The creation of these tapes makes Hannah seem worse than those who hurt her. Well, some of them...
- The story (minus the last 2 or 3 pages) is a towering monument to Hannah's suicide. The story displays how Hannah's suicide had exactly the effect she wanted, namely revenge on everyone who had hurt her, glossing over the fact that Hannah is around to experience exactly none of it, and thus she can derive no satisfaction. That is, until the end, when Clay is desperately hoping that Mr. Porter will succeed in stopping Hannah's suicide, even though it's already happened.
- Probably there are more Karma Houdini characters involved, except those who broke the law. A lot of people can easily justify Never My Fault, like Marcus or Zach. Probably Mr. Porter will turn in Jennifer and Bryce after hearing the tapes, but there would probably be a Blame the Victim mentality.
Non of this seems to fit.

Cut away.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI wrote this for Mom when it used to be FUA. I want to reconfirmed fif it can be use for Hard Truth Aesop.
- The episodes that dealt with Bonnie trying to help her brother stop doing drugs gives out two:
- When it comes to those with addictions, ultimately it's their choice whether they want to get clean or not. Even if friends and family want them to stop, they really can't force them.
- It's better to let go of those who choose to continue with their addiction for your own health and mentality.
Both look good.
Would this work for Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas :
- Hard Truth Aesop: Sometimes, jerks win legitimately over more likable people.
I believe yes.
back lolIt could use more context: who are the jerks in the story, and where and how do they win over the more likable people?
I seen the special. I dont remember the team being jerks to the Protagonist.
YMMV.The New Order Last Days Of Europe had this back when it was FUA. Is there a different trope that would encapsulate it now?
- Family-Unfriendly Aesop: The bleakness of the overall world of The New Order mixed with the Earn Your Happy Ending vibe of the post-apocalypse events, where the Nazis' tyranny has been completely forgotten in favor of a world built on mutual trust and love, puts forth the idea that the complete destruction of global society and the death of billions is the way to go to achieve true peace and happiness.

The Protomen enhanced my life. That’s Unfortunate Implications.
Isn’t Unfortunate Implications already our “bad Aesop” Trope?
Just find one.

Yes. Also there's the citation requirement for UI.
No citation = pull.
she/her | TRS needs your help! | Contributor of Trope ReportYou can find one if you want; but if the example is written without one, we cut it. That's just how it works.

Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessWhat should we do about this example of FUA in Lord of the Flies' YMMV page? It kinda sounds like Author Tract instead.
- Family-Unfriendly Aesop: The book was written just to say Humans Are Bastards and Hobbes Was Right, a Take That! to all the Rousseau Was Right works of the time. Some have read it as a slightly friendlier aesop against the racial stereotypes of the era, showing that under the wrong circumstances even British schoolboys can fall into savagery just as easily as any "inferior" cultures.

Google Snake Game. That sounds more like Alternate Aesop Interpretation.
Crown Description:
Previously, the trope was placed in YMMV when it was known as Family Unfriendly Aesop. After the rename, many felt that being in YMMV would promote complaining and misuse.
I went through all the folders and examples under Hard Truth Aesop and replaced the Family Unfriendly subpages with and redirected them to Live-Action TV and HardTruthAesop.Western Animation.
At this point cleanup of the page is complete. Now we just need the crowner called so we can start replacing examples.
