Sorry for that. I was suggesting to remove most of the drafts not worth putting in the salvage thread.

Yeah, that’s the point of the project. The salvage yard spun out of it when people were debating about what to do with discardable drafts with good ideas.

Anyways, I discovered these drafts while browsing through the TLP:

• Double-Digit Console: Is this even tropeworthy? It only lists games with an arbitary less than 100 games released for the console.
• The Triangulator: It is a long-abandoned draft lacking in examples, and a possibly Flame Bait hazard to boot.
• Suspended Item: A poorly-written and long-abandoned draft, a examples solely consist of People Sit on Chairs examples that are not even noteworthy.
• Second Place Gets The First Laugh: Too Rare to Trope definition and long-abandoned coupled with poor quality of the draft.
• Show Time Equals Real Time: It isn't even a trope at all. It's just listing examples of the cast and characters growing with real time.

I have three active TLP drafts that need action...

• Adaptational Location Change: Currently both Up for Grabs and under Rolling Updates.
• Flying Dissonance: Has not been commented on since the beginning of the year, and not edited since 2018.
• Series Minus Series Core: I'm too busy to keep working on this, so can we put it Up for Grabs?

If you want to put a draft Up for Grabs, all you need to do is edit the draft and put a link to that page at the top. You don't need to go to this thread, as this is explicitly for drafts that should be discarded for whatever reason.

Well, despite my draft for Elsa Schiaparelli being discarded earlier this year, after seeing the page for Christian Dior, Yves Saint Laurent, and Gianni Versace, I have managed to make a Useful Notes page of her.

You can re-discard the draft now.

Just noticed that The Ninth Generation Of Console Video Games is a page already, which means this old draft is meaningless and should be discarded. Might take a while because of the hats though, especially because the sponsor's been inactive since May.

I meant that at the time I posted this, it only had one bomb. I brought it here to get the count increased enough to be discarded.

The net hats/bombs don't technically prevent a draft from being discarded nor launched. You can discard a clearly redundant/bad draft with 5 bombs in any case, even if it had 50 hats.

• The Heroes Take Sides: Stub draft with no activity for years.
• Abnormality Implies Insanity: Only one example is not a ZCE and has had no activity for years.
• Teutonic Ham: an exampleless stub.

I'm considering on discarding this draft, as I think it's a time capsule of 2017, and it's content is already covered by Nintendo Hard.

Unless, some of its ideas of "rage-inducing games" would be put into the TLP Sounding Board.

It seems the key connector between both examples with context is rapid Trial-and-Error Gameplay...

I have an idea on the back burner of Golden Path games where there's only one possible path to victory out of a whole slew of them.

Maybe a bit of "Death After One Mistake" in those examples too.

- Judging from the two examples with context that you put in the draft, you're looking for Frame Perfect / almost-Perfect Play Required, games.

Those examples fit those proposed tropes. But for now, I have no further interest on that draft, and they too would go to the Sounding Board. And I don't know if Nubian Satyress is still interested in this draft. If she's not, then the draft shall be discarded.

The OP of Benevolent Abomination decided many months ago to discard it as a duplicate of Did You Just Have Tea With Cthulhu, but it's on hold, so mod intervention is needed to actually do this.

Immaturity Insult is about to launch, so can we nuke the similar Age Based Insult, since it's gonna be redundant and it was started by a ban evader anyway?

Are all the examples on the latter copied on the former?

It's been like six months, let's have a good old-fashioned nonviable draft dump!

• Animals Have Human Nationalities: No examples, abandoned.
• Attention Hating Monster: Two-line wonder, no examples, abandoned.
• Audition Reel: Terrible Interviewees Montage.
• Combat Data: One example, abandoned.
• Lightning Eyes: Two-line wonder, no examples, abandoned, covered by Magical Eye Streamers.
• Lobotomy Dust: Only one zero-context example, abandoned.
• Mechanized Hell: Bad draft, maybe a Yardable concept?
• Out Of Power: Two-line wonder, ludicrously broad, abandoned for 10 years.
• The Sky Is Crying: Two-line wonder, no examples, abandoned.
• Showdown Spit: No examples, abandoned.

• Boxing Badass: Unformatted fire-and-forget; concerns in the comments about the trope's viability.
• Cannot Multitask: Abandoned with no examples.
• Country Color Convention: Abandoned one-line wonder, concept seems shaky.
• Humanity Dependent: Abandoned stub with no examples in the draft. Might be Yardable?
• Humble Title, Higher Purpose: Is this Just the First Citizen?
• Mecha Calculus: Currently this is a zero-context list of works containing mecha.
• No Punching Allowed: OP realized this was covered by Just Hit Him but never discarded.
• Personality Dissonance: A possible missing supertrope, but currently an abandoned exampleless stub.
• Premise Embodiment Role Model: Abandoned, written like a misplaced Trope Finder query.
• Retroactive Controversy: Abandoned for six years and never edited, seems to be thoroughly covered by existing tropes.
• Screw the Rules, I'm Anonymous!: This seems to be GIFT.
• Shapeshifter Vanity: Abandoned with no examples, covered by existing tropes.

• Back In Town has no examples, but could maybe be yarded.
• Cape, Hat, Mask: Created by a failed TRS thread that tried to split Coat, Hat, Mask, it's been abandoned since 2012 and is probably covered by Badass Cape, not to mention it's an appearance trope with a bunch of "Character wears this" ZCEs.
• Enumerating the Wrongness looks like a magnet for "This reviewer hates this one part of a movie" complaining by proxy, plus its two examples don't have context.
• Extending Weapon is Retractable Weapon.
• Getting The Goods doesn't have any context for its examples, never really explains what it means by "the goods", and is probably covered by MacGuffin.
• Multi Generational Gameplay is a stub with no description and two examples that lack context. Could maybe be yarded.
• One Talent Wonder is not formatted at all, doesn't have enough context for its examples, and is covered by Crippling Overspecialization.
• Soundproof air has no examples and may be covered by Stage Whisper.
• Suddenly Sincere Song has no description and one example that looks like it could go on Last-Second Word Swap.
• Troubled Yet Angry Speech barely has a description, has no examples, and was proposed by a ban evader.

[JFF] The Tropers' Top 200 hasn't been edited for six months, it has far more bombs than hats^note In fact, if you search TLP by "most discards", this trope is at the very top, many of the comments are in favour of discarding it, and it just seems like an Edit War magnet.

The only thing preventing anybody from discarding it is that it on hold (and has been since September/October 2020). No additional comments have been made after October 2020, and the draft has seemingly had no activity since.

Should we get a mod to take it off hold, so it can be discarded?
