Diggernaut is despised by a lot of Metroid fans, but it’s my favorite boss in the series. It’s not from a guilty pleasure so much as it is one, but I didn’t have an avatar that fit exactly.

Damn straight. This is the '97 Special Team from the King Of Fighters, which is maybe one of three (The others being the Kyo Clone and American Sports Teams) non-edit teams I would actually use. It is composed of Blue Mary, Billy Kane, and Ryuji Yamazaki.

An "ironic" character you like unironically.

Fine and Rein are simultaneously Princess Classics and Rebellious Princesses. It Makes Sense in Context, and they're all the more hilarious for it.

Has an Awesome Mc Cool Name.

His name is Grand Doomer. Other options I considered were Steamlord and Star Dream.

Shows up out of nowhere, battles the protagonists, doesn’t show up again for a really long time, and then ends up being an incredibly major character.

Soundwave can open portals to appear out of nowhere, faces off against the Autobots a few times, and is a major Decepticon character.

Has an inferiority complex

It was really hard to find an avvie that fit that description since all my faves are cocky bastards, but poor ol' Milhouse; he deserves more credit than he gets.

Is Comic Relief in an otherwise serious work.

While I had a few contenders in the ring this time 'round, Mr. Hippo won the day. In a game chock full of jumpscares, hidden lore, and helpful parrots, Mr. Hippo's death speeches are one of the first of the more lighthearted things you're likely to run into in Ultimate Custom Night.

A serious or downright scary character in an otherwise lighthearted work.

Hyness and Void Termina, an insane cultist and space Satan respectively. They are Kirby bosses.

He drops some hints in "Anything to Win" that he has this sort of attitude towards others. "I will not let one miserable miscreant go through. I will do whatever is necessary to have those perversions of humanity receive what is due to them."

Before Twilight Sparkle was sent to Ponyville by her mentor, Princess Celestia, she only wants to focus on her studies and nothing else, which makes her very awkward socially. She largely grew out of it by now, especially after becoming the Princess of Friendship, but she does show her social awkwardness on occasion.

TNA is a Reality Warper.

Star Dream is a clockwork star, a creature capable of granting wishes... and making them on itself. It tried to exterminate all sentient life for profit, and turned the battlefield into a trippy space tunnel.

At some point, the protagonists fight the avatar’s soul.

Well a Stand is a representation of one's soul, so technically it counts

It comes right with the job description of a Hassan! Naturally, this is what Cursed-Arm hassan specializes in, due to being a part of the original assassin group. Just be very careful when he isn't on your side.

A character who is a case of Bad Powers, Good People.

Flandre is a genuinely nice person who doesn’t even mind being locked in the basement for 495 years, but she has the power to destroy any object and isn’t quite sure how to control it.

A deity of any kind.

As an immortal, millennia-year-old being with supernatural powers, the Phantom of the Office is probably the closest thing to a deity in my gallery.

A strong, independent woman who don't need no man.

Honestly, most of the Power Ponies qualify ^note of all the mares on the team, only two have any romance in their stories, and even they aren't defined by it, but I could most easily imagine Sky saying it in that tone.

A character who has fought somebody they once admired.

Diggernaut and Steamlord are both Chozo robots that fight Samus, a descendant of the Chozo. Steamlord is corrupted by Phazon, while Diggernaut just felt like attacking Samus.

Magical Bomber, without a doubt (She's one of my fan characters, so I'll say why). She always says she's the strongest, but you don't have to move and you'll still win.
