This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

I like this switch, but the replacement quote is more clearly about digital destruction. The one issue, though, is there is a general principle — though not a hard & fast rule — that the page quote and page image should be from two different sources. Technically, the sources are different, but the subject is the same. I'm cool with it in lieu of a better quote, but it's worth mentioning.
The suggested quote is the page quote for Put the "Laughter" in "Slaughter". I agree though that the current quote isn't great. Here are a few options from the Quotes page:
Hobbes: I don't know. How can you tell without looking?
Calvin: One way is to tell a story about a little kid getting mauled and eaten alive.
Hobbes: How does that tell you if you have monsters?
Calvin: Sometimes they laugh.
Krennic: [wheezing] ...Dad jokes? Really?
Of these, I have a slight preference for the How It Should Have Ended quote.
Re Wants Versus Needs: the existing quote seems clearer to me, I vote leave it.
The quote on Friendly Pirate doesn't seem to say anything about the trope (and the dialogue is honestly kind of nonsensical, at least without context). Presumably Luffy is an example of the trope, but the trope doesn't demonstrate it.
Luffy: Does it matter? You're known as an evil pirate hunter.
This from further down the page seems better?
Are what we can't live without
And when you're a professional pirate,
That's what the job's about!"
i assume you mean that you're fine with moving the current Digital Destruction quote to Inconsistent Coloring, but it wouldn't be a good idea to use a quote from the same article for DD because the image is already about Cinderella? because that makes sense to me
the HITSHE quote for Put the "Laughter" in "Slaughter" is a bit light on context and relies on you knowing the scene (vader saying that after he literally chokes someone). i'm not really partial to any of the suggestions.
i like the replacement suggestion, like you said the current one requires more context

- Yes about the potential switch from Digital Destruction to Inconsistent Coloring. I wrote "but the replacement quote...", but I meant to write "because the replacement quote ..."
- I was suggesting these quotes for Evil Has a Bad Sense of Humor, not Put the "Laughter" in "Slaughter".
AH i get you, sorry. in that case i think the Spider-Man quote works the best
The quote on Tuneless Song of Madness is kind of weak and non-demonstrative. It doesn't really tell you anything about the trope. There's no quotes page, so should it just be cut?
Gattaca has two quotes is that allowed
No, it is not. I'm leaning towards keeping the second quote since AFIK it's actually from the movie.

probably a holdover from the old days where more than two quotes were allowed. remove one
hail, holy queen of the sea, you're whirling-in-rags, you're vast and you're sadThe top one for me,its relevant
New theme music also a boxHow is it relevent
The film is about Eugenics and the quote relates to specifically to something that God is ultimately responsible for thus He "Made crooked" and someone trying to alter what was done
New theme music also a boxCool Airship uses a quote from Adolf Hitler and I think using a quote from a notorious dictator might nit paint the best image for the website.
The quote for Satellite Love Interest doesn't really show "Character defined in role and personality by being a love interest" like the trope is about. Some suggestions:
I don't have a problem with it, to be honest.
I think 3 is best.
It does not matter who I am. What matters is, who will you become? - motto of Omsk BirdEither 2 or 3 work well, though I would recommend cutting the first and last lines of 3 to make it tighter.

The quote for Most Writers Are Male is way too long. I think it would be better if shortened to:
Elaine: You have no idea?
Jerry: ... Something derogatory?
: I would start at "Julie-Su never got to be her own person".

What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
i'm curious about something — this quote added for Digital Destruction is really good, but could it be moved over to Inconsistent Coloring? it feels more succinct than the current quote chosen for IC (takes two excerpts to demonstrate), and it talks more specifically about coloration than remastering in general. i'm fine with keeping it on DD if we decide it's better there, though.
here's the source, by the way. if we want a different quote from this article for DD, i like this excerpt as well.
