This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

Wackyland doesn't have to be from a video game, as the page image and the examples show. The description and the laconic could indicate that better. Maybe take it to TRS for a split?

Rock'n'roll never dies!Restating a query from previous pages because it got buried. Will remove the redundant quotes unless there's any objections.
You have my vote to pull Jock Dad, Nerd Son and the redundant Clarke's Third Law quotes. There are a couple others I wanted to ask about:
Miraculous Ladybug has the Theme Tune as a quote, and a clunky Describe Topic Here joke with the show's Opening Narration. I think it would be much more concise to remove the all-blue paragraph and make the actual Opening Narration the page quote instead.
Just a normal girl with a normal life.
But there's something about me that no one knows yet,
'Cause I have a secret..."
The quote on Vaporware is... yeah, I don't know what "Indonesia's nuclear ambitions" have to do with this trope. From the quotes page, I think this In-Universe example gets the trope across more clearly.
Marina: Wasn't it supposed to come out, like, four years ago?
Batman in My Basement is supposed to be about a character secretly hiding someone else in their home and having to keep the "guest"'s presence a secret from others. The quote is about Batman being in a basement and doesn't fit that definition.
Batman: Bruce Wayne lives in Batman's attic!
I understand it's the show's theme tune, but the quote for Big Bag is so fucking long.
Jawbreakers on sale for 99¢Several weeks ago, ~Levi Ackerman 91 removed the page image and quote from The Character Died with Him, with the reason "The quote was not needed and some of what was said was not actually said".
I reverted this because their other edits made me suspect an agenda, but let's ignore that for a moment and discuss the quote — the first half of that edit reason obviously doesn't hold, but if the quote is in fact incorrect, then we're going to want to fix that?
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing. It matches IMDB's quote minus one word.
Covered in Star Wars Cleanup, Deadpool, and Web Video sand. I'm not coarse and rough, but I get everywhere.@Someoneman
The quote on Batman in My Basement should be removed for taking the trope name too literally.
The quote and image on Who Would Be Stupid Enough? are the same. Neither one has a tag. Which one should we pull?
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Honestly, that trope name is confusing. I wouldn't mind changing it to "E.T. Plot" or the more practical "Alien Adoptee" or something like that (I was going to draft a stock shout-out/Whole-Plot Reference called that, but then I found this trope). Maybe my idea could be a subtrope.

Rock'n'roll never dies!Given that the image only depicts the trope via its text, I’d keep the quote.

SoundCloudOcean Madness, take 2:
Red Mage: Black Mage? You're narrating again.
Black Mage: My companions succumbed to sea madness weeks ago.
Thief: Dude, it's been two and a half hours.
Dancing Tropes has two quotes.
I'm mainly a fan of underrated media. It's good, but part of it is still the quote for Eldritch Ocean Abyss, and I think it fits better there.
I like the first one better.
my brain is a computer with 4k of ram. this is a jokes wikiIf you're concerned about the Black Mage's quote being on another page, what about the quote that's on the Ocean Madness quote page? (Minus the last sentence.)
It meant a special kind of madness, brought on the heat. First Mate Cox had told her about it, probably hoping to frighten her because he was that sort of person. Sailors got calenture when they'd been becalmed at sea for too long. They'd look down and see, instead of the ocean, cool green fields. They'd leap down into them, and drown. First Mate Cox said he'd seen grown men do it. They'd jumped into a meadow full of daisies and drowned, or, as he put it, drown-ded. And he'd probably pushed them in, too.
It's the only quote on the quote page, so if it was used, the quote page would need to be cut.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.I'll put the 8BT one there in the meantime.
Sounds good.
I thought Wackyland DID have to be from a video game. It’s a Video Game Trope.

Literal first sentence of the description is "An especially whimsical, surreal, or nonsensical area in a video game." Not entirely sure how one could ever get that outside of a video game.
Trouble Cube continues to be a general-purpose forum for those who desire such a thing.Mobile City and Literature.Mortal Engines have the same exact quote.
Not sure about the page quote for Fair for Its Day. As I recall, the 'hath not a Jew eyes' speech is generally considered by modern scholarly consensus to be Shylock Dramatically Missing the Point by listing the physical, material similarities of a Jew to a Christian and ignoring the (far more important) spiritual element. Its yet another demonstrator of his inherent soullessness, basically. The fact that it's since become a famous, much-quoted plea for equality and tolerance should be more properly considered an example of Values Dissonance, and it would actually make a great page quote for that article.
What's precedent ever done for us?Season Fluidity’s quote is really long.
back lolI’m not a fan on the quote on Food Fight. In addition, it seems the trope shares a custom title with the film.

Crown Description:
What should be the page quote for Monster.Fan Works?
Hid the quote on Wackyland for not relating to video games.
Also here to remind you:
