This thread is for general discussion of page quotes, whether to change, move or remove them.
Unused quotes should be put on a Quotes Wiki page (just replace the namespace in the URL of the wiki page you are making a quotes page for with Quotes/) or, if they don't have an article, on Quotes Looking for an Article.
Image captions are discussed elsewhere and have their own thread in the Image Pickin' forum.

I don't know if I need to bring this here. But I saw the page On Ice, there is an example of ICarly discussing the trope and I think that it will be a good quote.
I removed the quote for No Man Should Have This Power, if that's okay.
Previous page quote before being replaced it is this:
McCoy: "In the wrong hands"? Would you mind telling whose are the right hands, my logical friend?
I personally think that the quote doesn't really convey this trope that much but what about you guys? Do you think it demonstrates the quote without much spoiling?
Without context, the quote is indeed only loosely illustrating the trope. It would need a more unambiguous one.
Moving on: Sequel and Sequel Snark features the same quote from Spaceballs.
I vote on keeping it for Sequel Snark.
There are some possible alternatives from the quotes subpage. Maybe the second one?

I like the second one. Here it is, for context.
That one works for me.

May I remove the quote on Annoying Younger Sibling? Who's the younger one? How is either of them being annoying?
Added the quote to No Man Should Have This Power.
As for , I agree. Both siblings seem unpleasant that I'm not sure which one is supposed to be the "annoying" one either.
I support removing the quote for being un-illustrative.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Yeah, remove that one.
Currently Working On: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI support removing the quote as well.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading. Thanks! It's gone now.
I've noticed that Order Is Not Good currently lacks a page quote and I'm wondering if this quote illustrates it clearly enough:
I'm not sure it does. By itself (without context) it comes across more as an It's All About Me grudge than Order Is Not Good. Possibly something to do with death, lifelessness or undeath as well. There's nothing about the concept of Order being what's opposed here.

Unfortunately, nothing on the quotes page addresses that part either. At an admittedly quick skim of the examples, nothing in particular stands out that would be useful as a quote.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpThe quote in Badly Battered Babysitter doesn't mention babysitters at all, and seem to be describing a completely different trope.
Not to mention the Welsh tale that the trope description clearly rests on isn't even this trope: 'Guard dog loyally does its duty but owner misinterprets the scene, kills the loyal dog, realises his mistake too late and erects massive shrine to dog in penance' is not Badly Battered Babysitter.
If my post doesn't mention a giant flying sperm whale with oversized teeth and lionfish fins for flippers, it just isn't worth reading.Spies In a Van and Mission Control have the same line. I'm in favor of an easy transplant of this from the Mission Control quotes page to the main:
Peter: What?
Ned: You know how there's a guy, with the headset, telling the other guy where to go? Like... like if you were stuck in a burning building, I could tell you where to go, 'cause there'd be screens around me, I can shoot around things, I can be your guy in the chair!
it is stepping a bit on the toes of the Voice with an Internet Connection but those tropes have a lot of overlap.
Shoo Out the New Guy and Bus Crash use the same page quote. The latter is the only one that actually demonstrates the trope.
Contains 20% less fat than the leading value brand!Yea i'm seeing the later as being more appropriate than the former and up for a change. Question is, what shall the new quote be?
Also I have a suggestion for Rewriting Reality page quote. What do you guys think? (If it's not suitable I'll put it on the quotes page).
And a magic lake which gave a life to the words the poet used..."
Does the new quote for Reptiles Are Abhorrent have consensus?
Join the Five-Man Band cleanup project! While not exactly a duplicate, the quote in Little Sister Heroine and Brother–Sister Incest sounds really similar, not to mention a bit complain-y.
Conversely, the quote in Unfortunate Implications talk about the presence of unintentional subtexts in the work, but it's rather weak on the "unfortunate" aspect of it.
