Personality: He's mild, gentle, and courteous, but shallow and not especially driven, even for an Idle Rich type. A shy and weepy child in his youth, these days he is known among the Macrauls as a quiet, slightly embarrassing almost-disappointment, though more for perceived weakness of character than not towing the party line - he loves his family deeply and doesn't understand the popular dislike of them. He always has a faint smile on his face, the kind suggesting that nothing much is going on behind it.
Backstory: Married to Cayenne Macraul. He comes from a branch of the family related to Sylvestra Macraul's line. The youngest and least impressive child of five born to imperious parents, he tended to get lost in the crowd and was practically brought up by his family's dutiful Malamar. An expensive classical education in upper-class pursuits left him rather helpless in the real world, so he busied himself with taking care of their estate after they died and his siblings had all moved away. Meeting Cayenne was the best thing to ever happen to him, after taking up Pokémon Egg collecting. His hobbies include battling and certain sports.

Ability: Poison sting
Tommy's starter, Tobi is a rare color morph spinarak that gives him a variation of a shiny ariados' colors. He had been bred and kept in an exploitative illegal research facility owned by Best Berry in Castelia City which focused on silk-harvesting. He escaped with Tommy one day, which eventually led to the liberation of his siblings and friends when Tommy sent an anonymous tip to the Castelia City Police Department. Although their relationship had a rocky start (specifically, he bit Tommy rather hard, which... did things to him), he has since become one of his closest allies. He helped Tommy practice monese in college. Of all his Pokemon, Tobi is the most serious. He also developed a taste for pizza; it gives him indigestion but he loves it.

Ability: Swift swim
Shinji was cloned from Dome Fossil 28, the only DNA-bearing kabuto specimen excavated from the Sturgess Shale, a newly discovered fossil lagerstaette to the north of Angela that hosted many of the earliest specimens of invertebrate fossil Pokemon, including a few that have yet to be appropriately identified. He was one of several kabuto cloned from the DNA of the fossil, which had been identified as laying eggs at the time of death, by researcher Conroy Hawthorn. Seeking adventure, he decided to join one of Hawthorn's students rather than remain cooped up in the university labs. Time and again he expresses desire to visit his family, either his siblings at Professor Hawthorn's lab at Castelia City University or his mother at the Museum of Natural History. He is very bombastic and has a thing for presentation and especially has a fondness for robots.

Behind Drake's Cloud Cuckoolander persona is a childhood of abuse. He and his family spent much of their lives in a cramped crate since their mother, a Galvantula, was captured by Pokemon smugglers in Castelia. Tommy and his friends were instrumental in busting the ring by sending information to the police, while Arachna-Guy and Aranos took care of the ringleaders. Since then he's become a big superhero fanboy. After the bust, he, his mother, and sisters were rehomed, and he becoming the newest member of Tommy's crew. He enjoys his new life as the partner Pokemon of a photojournalist constantly on assignment, which feels like an adventure story come to life.

Ability: Unnerve
Felicia began her life as a stray who was a stowaway in a large crate en route to Castelia City. She was found by Tommy while he was on assignment, reporting on instances of "mysterious" theft in a cargo vessel. The young journalist adopted the young straggler, who has since taken a liking to her new trainer and his aunt. Having decided that adventure is overrated, she has settled down to being a very mischievous lapmon at the Petersens' apartment. Her skills of covert recovery are often called upon whenever Tommy needs it, and sometimes she finds herself on the employ of a cut-rate superhero from time to time.

Arachna-Guy's Pokemon

Aranos
Species: Spinarak
Gender: Male
Ability: Poison sting

Aranos is Arachna-Guy's partner in crime-fighting, a weirdly colored spinarak who has a fondness for face-obscuring triangular glasses. How the glasses stay on him is unknown, but it appears to be very difficult to remove in normal circumstances. Even more of a bombast than his partner, he resents the idea of being called a sidekick and often insists that he is a superhero in his own right, leaving the quips and one-liners to the sardonic Arachna-Guy himself ("Actually, Arachna-Guy is the sidekick"). He has a flair for the dramatic and is not above using his acrobatic skills for show.

I can imagine Ludovic to be in his late 20s to early 30s. Close enough to his wife's age.

So, in light of the discussion on a reference to the Golem of Prague involving Golurk and this idea to create a new Macraul, I created this guy. Tentatively, parts that are italicized are pending approval and feedback.

Lowell Macraul

Appearance: A lanky late-middle-age man with green-gray hair and a beard. Wears a fedora. In the 80s, he looked like a beatnik.

Notable relatives: Paul Macraul (older brother), Sylvestra Macraul (distant ancestor), Helena Macraul (wife), Sylvestre Macraul (son)

The reclusive mad artist of the Macraul family, Lowell Macraul was once the darling of the art world. His sculptures pushed boundaries and managed to inspire awe and admiration from even the most casual of observers. Although his true passion was art, he is also an adept programmer and was responsible for the slot machines and security systems in the Macraul Casinos. The combined stress from the demands of both his family and the art world allegedly drove him to madness and he fled to some out of the way family retreat in Kalos.

Although many believed that Helena's marriage to Lowell was largely one for money (one of his only mistakes, says Paul), the two share a fondness for one another. Helena herself was a sophisticated sculptor, and they have a room dedicated to sculptures of them [REDACTED].

Bullied all his life, he is almost always found alongside his golurk, Primus, who remains his stalwart protector. Although his projects—consisting of strange geometries and sophisticated AI—are thought by everyone to be harmless., his family ties, however, make people wary of him; his closeness to his brother Paul is something that make certain organizations leer at him ominously.

One main difference between Sylvestre and Lowell is their taste in art. Lowell's sculptures, often quite exquisite facsimiles of life, are almost universally beloved by the Macrauls; half the decorations in their casinos and newer urban houses were "housewarming gifts" that they personally requested.

His main costuming 'on the job' as a Leader definitely carries across both his chosen specialized type and his role as a monster of a Leader that stands in the way of any young challenger's trip to the top.

Any ties to an organization: A former member of a major sports entertainment conglomerate and current member of the Angela League. Confirmed former ties to Pokefutures.

Region of origin: Born in Kalos, moved to Angela during his teenage years.

Bio: Luke Van Luke was on top, he was a frequent title contender and one of the big heroes of the ring on the professional circuit. And then the expose about performance-enhancement in the roster, recovered documents from the Pokefutures raid about Drives with Luke's name not quite blacked out before the staffer had to run, the precipitous fall from the heights of stardom. What do you do at the bottom, with a lingering addiction to the rush and power and noone to blame but yourself?

With no money left for the enhancements that supported his career and no future promise of power Luke chose to get clean and make something fresh of his life and in the feather-slow collapse after Pokefutures shuttered there were plenty of places that likewise needed a fresh start to put them on the map again. And now? He's a Leader, a pillar of a community that like him has had to recover from rock bottom. In his gym he is the monster, the specter of Pokefutures' ethics and retreat from the region that almost doomed the town but when daylight streams through he's taken to Leadership with dedication and care.

Personality/Bio: Abomination has taken to his role as 'the dangerous biotech experiment' with gusto, bearing an easily shrugged off rig of tubes that go nowhere and a gas mask on the walk to the ring. Of course there's really nothing unnatural about him, he's just a nice big Magmortar ready to fight for the glory of it.

Nickname: Char

Ability: Blaze

Personality/Bio: While some have derided her as 'simple' and 'not as good as Towering Inferno', that hasn't stopped Char from being exactly what she purports to be; a pokemon that's good at fighting and willing to do whatever it takes to win whether you like her or not.

Nickname: Flame Driver

Gender: Male

Ability: Justified

Personality/Bio: A little older and more ragged than the rest, Flame Driver is generally considered to be the most honorable and fair of the four members of Luke's team. People familiar with the former profession of the Leader himself will see the similarities between Luke's former costume and the bright orange and black of his most favored pokemon. His mere appearance in the ring is a sign that a challenger either has potential to go all the way, or is headed for a hasty defeat at the flames of the gym's singular Face.

It's clearly a case of backroom political albumizing.

So I just reminded myself that I had an idea a few months back, pertaining to Corrin and her Feral Dragon transformation as translated into the RP context. Specifically, through whatever means it may occur, she ends up getting a Dragonstone, that sorta works. The idea is, when it crossed from FE Verse to Poke Verse, it was translated into a Mega Stone for Kommo-o. However, rules of the universe say that there's not supposed to be such a thing, so it becomes a glitched item.

The translated Dragonstone can be used like a normal Mega Stone. This, of course, requires a Key Stone and a stable bond, but that's not much of a worry. When it's used, Corrin goes Feral Dragon, but manages to keep her senses, just like using a regular Dragonstone for the same purpose in her home universe. However, due to it being Invalid Data(TM), each time it's used, the thing fractures bit by bit, until eventually it just shatters into dust. Because of this, Corrin will have to be very sparing with using it, limiting it to serious plot points and such.

This, of course, won't be a thing for a very long time. Corrin's still a Hakamo-o, and will continue to be until Mason and team not only starts, but gets decently far in a league challenge. I just want to propose it now so any kinks could potentially be worked out for it. The big thing is how many uses she gets out of it before it loses its Weapon Durability and goes kaput.

Senator Kyle Armitage

Ethnicity: [Mixed race American]
Ties to an Organization: A state senator at the Angelan senate. He was part of the senate faction that wanted to curtail Pokefutures' influence and the subsequent subcommittee that worked with PEFE to repurpose the company's remains.
Brief Description of their Appearance: A grizzled and distinguished older gentleman with a stern yet wise face of a grandfatherly mentor. The good senator dresses in corporate casual, a longsleeve buttondown shirt and trousers. Prior to battles, he would always engage in small talk, and those who battle him often feel like they’ve learned something important, regardless of the outcome of the battle.
Region of Origin: Angela, with Alolan ancestry

He was once the gym leader of Portokali City before he ran for state senator. A staunch opponent of corporate interference in government, he became the de facto leader of a faction of state senators who secretly moved to curtail the political influence of Pokefutures. The revelation of the appalling treatment of Pokemon by the Pokefutures company by a group of teenage scientists was the moment he and his subcommittee needed to take down the MegaCorp. Together, they helped to establish PEFE as a viable public-private venture.

He shares a friendly rivalry of sorts with the corporate bigwig and present Portokali City gym leader Polyxene Krete, once one of the representatives to the meeting that discussed the future of Pokefutures assets.

The good senator enjoyed a clean reputation in his career as a “bleeding heart” activist, yet possesses a keen sense of cunning, often relying on quick and unorthodox thinking to respond to things he did not anticipate. This was most apparent in his shrewd motions on the day the axe fell on Pokefutures and afterward, and is still something people can expect in his battle. He strongly believes in doing what needs to be done, protocol be damned, but tempers his idealism with pragmatic strategy.

When asked if he still has PEFE, now a completely independent organization, on speed dial, he refused to comment.

The lesson he lets people learn the most is “never underestimate your opponent.”

He joined the Elite 6 when the position became available as an alternative to his golf games. Officially, it allows him to get to know the young electorate for his party, the Whigpublicrats. According to his wife and children, he just misses being the gym leader.

Okay so since we've been talking about it in the Discord, it's time I brought it here for the full pitch.

The Pitch: Arthur finds himself craving more from life, something more than what he knew ages ago, and so enters the Spirit Games to return to the mortal world. His family having lived their lives in peace are fine with remaining behind, knowing that one day Arthur will return to them. Arthur emerges the victor of the Spirit Games and awakens in Kalos, now a Honedge awaiting to be found.

He eventually meets with Denali who through their ties to the Ersatz Alliance Store, and their Mode Lock Rock Candy, is given a human form again, with the side effect of being unable to use his own damn last name and silver gray hair relating to the steel of his new mon form.

The Undying Knight is reborn, ready to let go and begin again, in this brave new world before him.

The Reason and Potential for this: Beyond giving me another fun character to play, I feel Arthur would be a more active character in adventures compared to Jimmy who has been characterized as punch clock and would rather just spend time with his wife in peace. Arthur is a experienced adventurer and no stranger to danger, he'd be a valuable ally, and even a family figure for Silas to relate to better as his stories aren't classified and in his resurrected body he's more than capable of handling himself.

The Theme: My characters after Silas tend to have a specific naming convention and theme among them, when Arthur lived about 600 years ago, he was Dark Souls inspired blended with Arthurian myth. Now he's a bit more modern and fast paced thanks to his time in the spirit games, his pokemon team would be named after characters from various Id Software and Bethesda Games. This isn't important just a fun fact.

In Conclusion: Beat this idea around and make suggestions and alterations to this, if I am proposing this I want it to be the best.

Hmmmmm, I'm not sure about him being mode-locked, a weremon of some sort might work better. Otherwise looks solid.

I know, I know, I really should stop pitching plots, factions, and characters. However, I promise that I'm actually going to do something with this one, and that means that I need to subject it for approval. So, here goes.

Remember the Lillifuture?

As many of you might know, the Lillifuture is the primary Bad Future of the OU. Tagg is dead, Lucius is a psychotic murderer, and the J-Team has long since disbanded, much to the detriment of its members - and the world. Law and order is breaking down in many areas; panic and dread are the zeitgeist of the day.

In light of this, the International Police have been forced to expand their remit, evolving from a small agency of specialist officers to a quasi-authoritarian peacekeeping force. As a result of this expansion, and the backing of a mysterious Benefactor, in the Lillifuture they have become one of the few groups in the WAAPT Multiverse (alongside Mobius and Pokefutures) with the ability to travel between time and space. Armed with this knowledge, Interpol founded a new taskforce to harness it - the Inter-Dimensional Police Department.

Who?

The IDPD are loosely based on the organisation of the same name from Nuclear Throne. Their appearance is very similar, but their abilities and purpose are slightly different. Their mission is to apprehend or eliminate individuals whom they consider a threat to not only their own timeline, but to other universes as well. As such, their officers are equipped with poorly-understood technology, which they use to jump to other universes and confront whatever threats they find there. The IDPD has three main branches:

• The IDPD (Inter-Dimensional Police Department), the titular main branch responsible for handling threats originating from other dimensions or universes.
• The ITPD (Inter-Temporal Police Department), responsible for handling threats originating from other time periods.
• The ISPD (Inter-Spacial Police Department), who investigate Fallers, Ultra Wormholes, and help stabilise travel for the other two branches. Whereas most IDPD and ITPD officers are field agents, most ISPD officers are support staff.

Though the IDPD are highly advanced by the standards of their time, their jurisdiction has its limitations. Travel between time and space is an extremely costly affair, even considering their advances, and given the highly sensitive nature of their mission they make every effort to keep their existence on the down-low. Even the simplest assignment can run up huge logistical costs, which on top of both hindering their effectiveness and contributing to their reputation as a money sink, makes them reluctant to try and alter the course of events outside of targeting select individuals.

Scientists from the ISPD are constantly trying to expand the area in which IDPD officers can operate, but their efforts have consistently met with failure - and considering their limited funding, seem likely to continue doing so. IDPD officers can only interfere in universes or timelines where the point of divergence was only a few decades away, and even then such missions place the agents involved at extreme risk, when a large temporal or spacial difference opens up an even larger margin of error.

All three branches are under the command of Director Shun Hontou. Rumour has it that the Director was Kicked Upstairs to his current position to prevent him from meddling in other Interpol cases, and to those aware of their existence the IDPD is generally regarded as a joke, wannabe Men in Black wearing silly uniforms and chasing shadows rather than dealing with the Lillifuture's very real crime epidemic. However, the Director - so far as anyone can tell - appears to consider his duties of the utmost importance.

Since their formation, one key point of interest for the IDPD has been the Mobius Society's multidimensional fuckery in the OU. This in turn has led them to investigate the disappearances of several individuals in the Lillifuture whose profiles seem eerily similar to those active during the Mobius crisis. The Director has dispatched several agents to investigate further. In particular, they are hunting for one longstanding thorn in their side, whose equipment bears a distinct resemblance to Cipher tech and whose vigilante activities threaten the delicate balance of the multiverse further...

Wait, does this mean I have to worry about the ITPD coming to snatch my futurekid?

Nope. (Not unless you want them to, at least.) The IDPD is relatively small, has limited intel, and no real motivation to bother anyone they don't perceive as a threat. It's only futurekids like Lex (who comes from a noble family and was actively working for a villainous team) who might have reason to worry. Honestly, the IDPD are mostly a way to facilitate a plot involving mine and a couple of other people's futurekids, and shouldn't factor into anyone else's plans - unless, of course, you want them to.

Unfortunately as the years went on they divorced, with Luca and his father leaving Unova for Angela, where his dad had a lucrative buisness oppurtunity.

You can probably guess who hired him.

Luca, in his youthful innocence, thought nothing of his dad until Luca decided that, for his twelfth birthday, he wanted to become a Pokémon trainer. That's when he learned what his father did for a living and why he didn't have any Pokémon.

Needless to say he got the hell out of Dodge...and ran right into the open arms of the Italian mafia. While he started off as a soldier, Benedetta took a shine to him, and served as an older sister/mother to Luca. Once she became the Boss, Benedetta immediately picked Luca as one of her elite guards.

Which leads us to today.

Personality: Luca, despite the horrors he's seen and the hardships he's faced, has never ceased to be caring and kind. He's also somewhat of a nerd. He's a weeb and this is the barebones personality until I write for him more

Brief description of their appearance: Ivan is a rather unassuming 5' 3" with brown hair and simple, necessity-serving clothes. He often sticks to the outskirts of social events, but is quite capable of having some fun when he knows people well.

Region of origin: Solaceon Town, Sinnoh.

Background: Ivan inherited his psychic aura from his father's side at birth. As a rather reserved person, he kept to himself and enjoyed the company of a small group of close friends. After being shaken by the events of the Infinity Keystone arc, he wished simply to protect his friends, experimenting with his powers to gain a more healing-based repertoire. As of his introduction, he began venturing into the world to try to train his psychic powers. His main strategy is to do small Aura Transfers and Heal Pulses when allies get hurt.

Tara is a compassionate, caring Pokemon whom Ivan is often found tending to. Ivan often heals alongside her, though they have a much harder time communicating as she cannot use telepathy and Ivan is inexperienced.

Calvin is a relaxed Pokémon with a bit of a laziness problem. He often loses battles simply by not trying hard enough, but he's fine with that. As long as everyone's having fun, he says, that's all that matters. He was Ivan's first pokemon, caught on a fishing trip mainly because he looked cool.

So, as many of you are probably already aware, I've been planning (and putting off for far too long) a heist event in Lumiose where Kahlia/Whiptail tries to steal the third in a set of gems from the National History Museum of Kalos. Spoiler alert: The plan is for the heist itself to fail, but for Whiptail to manage to escape. I'd like to make it happen sometime this week, but I have no idea how free I or anyone else involved is going to be. I was thinking of making a group DM on Discord to coordinate the people directly involved, but since it's a big event in the middle of Lumiose, I don't want to exclude anyone who might want to have their characters caught up in a big superhero/supervillain punchup. So... basically, this is an announcement/interest check for that group DM and the heist as a whole.
