"You’re in the void, my own "Special Prison."... Where artists go to die and the kingpins still stand."
A.G.O.T.I.

Friday Night Funkin': ENTITY (originally V.S. A.G.O.T.I. prior to the reboot) is a Friday Night Funkin' mod created by SugarRatio and TheInnuend0 (who formerly owned the mod) that initially released with a full week for A.G.O.T.I. on May 14th, 2021 and a demo version with one song for each of the four opponents coming out on December 3rd of the same year. In June of 2022, the mod was cancelled, cited by the team as over-ambition for the project, as well as a lack of interest and progress being the main causes.

The four opponents of the mod are:

  • Aldryx Andromeda, one of the two "digidevils" Boyfriend faces in this mod. He is an agent of his father figure, Solazar.
  • A.G.O.T.I. (A Guy on the Internet), the other "digidevil" and Aldryx's younger brother. He is a prisoner in a dimension known as the Void. In his original full week, Boyfriend and Girlfriend enter the void after entering a strange alleyway and challenge A.G.O.T.I.
  • Solazar, a Solarisapien (anthropomorphic star god) who is A.G.O.T.I. and Aldryx's father figure.
  • And Nikusa, the Void Queen who is also a Solarisapian mage. While she does challenge Boyfriend, she actually wants him to win unlike the other three opponents.

There is also Entity Origins: BREAKOUT, a prequel that takes place 19 years before Friday Night Funkin' ENTITY.

Song List (Sung by...)

ENTITY Demo

  • "Shotgun Shell" (Aldryx)
  • "Parasite" (A.G.O.T.I.)
  • "Godrays" (Solazar)
  • "Promenade" (Nikusa)

V.S. A.G.O.T.I

  • "Screenplay" (A.G.O.T.I.)
  • "Parasite" (old version) (A.G.O.T.I.)
  • "A.G.O.T.I." (A.G.O.T.I.)
  • "Guns" (A.G.O.T.I. cover, bonus song) (A.G.O.T.I.)

This mod contains the following tropes:

  • Breast Expansion: Not shown in gameplay proper, but Nikusa can change the size of her breasts at will.
  • Did You Just Punch Out Cthulhu?: You can fight and potentially win against Solazar and Nikusa, who are anthropomorphic star gods.
  • Expy:
    • As pointed out in this Reddit post, A.G.O.T.I. himself has a few similarities to Whitty, being tall black-headed figures wearing hoodies with an angry 3rd phase you meet in an alley.
    • A.G.O.T.I. has a major resemblance to Venom, both are black creatures with prehensible tentacles, plus the former's second song is named "Parasite"; Venom's species, known as symbiotes, are parasites themselves.
  • Fun with Acronyms: A.G.O.T.I. stands for "A Guy On The Internet".
  • Funny Background Event: During the "A.G.O.T.I." rap battle, you can see Girlfriend hanging on for dear life onto a rock.
  • Genre Throwback: A.G.O.T.I.'s singing voice in the original mod is provided by a Sega Genesis slap bass sound, specifically the one famously used in the Sonic the Hedgehog Genesis games.
  • Harder Than Hard: The "Expert" and "Insane" difficulties part of the Mic'd Up Engine, which increases the difficulty by changing the patterns to contain double notes and a ludicrous amount of extra keys between steps.
  • I Fell for Hours: During the third song, the chunk of rock the song takes place on seems to fall endlessly.
  • Interface Screw:
    • The HUD rocks side to side during the song "A.G.O.T.I.", as the floating island A.G.O.T.I., Boyfriend, and Girlfriend are on rapidly falls.
    • Solazar's song, "Godrays", has an effect that plays at one part where the screen shakes slightly from the drumbeat.
  • Lean and Mean: A.G.O.T.I. fits both criteria pretty neatly.
  • Ms. Fanservice: Nikusa. She's a Big Beautiful Woman who is 10 feet tall and her dress has a Cleavage Window. Oh, and she can change the size of her breasts, too.
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: In the original mod, the island Boyfriend, Girlfriend, and A.G.O.T.I. are on begins to fall come the third song, and Girlfriend's normally chill demeanor is replaced with absolute panic as she holds onto a rock to stop herself from falling into the void.
  • Our Demons Are Different: Aldryx and A.G.O.T.I. are considered to be "digidevils", although the latter was originally called a "screen demon". Both of them have odd skin colors, being red and black respectively (although A.G.O.T.I. has some off-white markings on his neck and limbs), have hair-like tendrils that can grab stuff, and they also have Monochromatic Eyes.
  • Physical God: Solarisapiens, such as Solazar and Nikusa, are human-like anthropomorphic stars who are also really destructive gods.
  • Precision F-Strike: A.G.O.T.I. drops an F-bomb just before the third song:
A.G.O.T.I.: YOU TWO WILL BE MY NEW SUBSTITUTES. YOU. FUCKING. FREAKS.
  • Prehensile Hair: A.G.O.T.I. has them; they even resemble flames to boot.
  • Prison Dimension: During the cutscene before the song "Parasite", A.G.O.T.I calls the void he, Boyfriend, and Girlfriend are currently in his "special prison", and he reveals in the ending cutscene that the Girlfriend's parents tried to erase him by sending him there.
  • Reality Warper: A.G.O.T.I. does this in the third phase, making the entire arena, and the HUD, fall through the air.
  • Retcon:
    • Happened to Aldryx, who was supposed to be a replacement for A.G.O.T.I. after the drama regarding the latter's original creator, but was ultimately retconned into being A.G.O.T.I.'s older brother instead after A.G.O.T.I.'s original creator transferred ownership of the character to SugarRatio.
    • Also happened to Nikusa, who was originally meant to have two biological fathers, named Player X and Squishy, but they were later retconned.
  • Sealed Evil in a Can: More like sealed Jerkass in a can, but he, a digidevil, was sealed away by Girlfriend's parents due to outshining them and other artists, and is willing to trap YOU in his place much like Spirit in the main game.
  • Sequel Hook: After beating the mod, the player is treated to an end cutscene set one week after the 3 escaped from the void where A.G.O.T.I. reunites with his manager/foster father Solazar and explains what happened. Solazar then tells A.G.O.T.I. that Boyfriend has been manifesting interference that warrants pursuit, but for now, they'll rest at a 5-star hotel room that he booked for them. Solazar got his own song in the ENTITY demo, and he is planned to get his own week in the full version.
  • Spell My Name With An S: No matter where you go, the mod's antagonist will have his name being written as both A.G.O.T.I., AGOTI, and Agoti interchangeably, however common consensus is that all of these are correct.
  • Statuesque Stunner: Nikusa, and how. She's much taller in comparison to the other three opponents Boyfriend had encountered, being a whopping 10 feet tall. Even in the group photo she has to bend down to get her face in view.
  • Stick Figure Animation: Nikusa is an intricately designed stick figure, which explains why she looks different from Solazar, a fellow Solarisapien.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Subverted meta example. Aldryx was originaly one to A.G.O.T.I. due to The Innuendo's controversial status at the time, but the two were separated after the controversy burned out, causing Aldryx to become A.G.O.T.I.'s brother.
  • Unintentionally Unwinnable: Due to an oversight involving A.G.O.T.I's fast charting and Insane difficulty being built for easier songs, A.G.O.T.I on Insane or with the One Note modifier is impossible to even complete on any mode faster than Lo-Fi (and even then it's only possible by a stretch of the imagination) due to the song having multiple points that would be normally stair patterns spanning all four notes that are changed to a set of stairs spanning three notes if Insane is chosen, plus 14 (on Lo-Fi), 18 (on standard), or 25 (on Hi-Fi) right arrows per second. A normal person can click at around 6 times per second, someone with experience with clicker game speedrunning can probably get 10, and the world record is 16. This part also goes on for a total of about 25 seconds throughout the song, meaning you have to press about 625 right arrows in 25 seconds. It is technically possible to clear the song by using external programs to rebind eight keys to the right keybind and having one person hit the staircase while the other player mashes each button 3 times per second, but when you have to go this far to beat a level, it's probably not very easy to do it.
  • Villainous Breakdown: As usual for most mods, A.G.O.T.I. suffers from one in his third song, with his smug grin being replaced with a grimace and his Prehensile Hair flapping in the wind generated from the stage falling endlessly.
