It's some... ClayFighter.
Narrator in the 2015 trailer of the cancelled ClayFighter game.

ClayFighter: Infinite Clayfare was a fangame based on ClayFighter series using the fighting engine M.U.G.E.N. The fangame was made by Basara-kun, the creator of Anti-Gouki Project who also made various ClayFighter characters for this engine. The fangame combines content like characters and stages from all the games of the franchise, from the 16-bit originals to Sculptor's Cut.

The gameplay is mainly based on ClayFighter 63⅓ for the Nintendo 64, using its Killer Instinct-inspired combo system, as well as the Mortal Kombat-inspired Claytalities. The fangame was launched in 2022, getting a playable Beta 1 in December 24th with 15 characters and 18 stages, and a Beta 2 was released in 2023, with more characters and rebalancing.

Unfortunately, on September 14, 2023, Interplay sent a C&D to Basara-Kun, resulting in the game being cancelled and all official download links to the game being removed. Basara-Kun released the screenpack of the game for regular MUGEN two days later to make up for this.

Let's get ready to crrruuuuuuumbleeeeee!!

  • Adaptation Expansion:
    • The game updates the events of 63⅓ and Sculptor's Cut events and adding the lore of the SNES games.
    • The SNES-era characters get 63⅓'s mechanics and some new moves.
      • High Five, infamous for how unfinished he was, was converted into a complete character, including variations of his moves, new supers, the 63⅓ combo system and Claytalities.
    • N.Boss gets a story this time, being a clone of the original that serves Dr. Kiln alongside Sumo Santa and Lockjaw Pooch.
  • Art-Style Clash: Guest Fighter Kung Fu Man is still a 2D sprite. The creator has said that, if he was made in Claymation as the rest of ClayFighters, he would probably use that version. However, exclusive sprites were made for KFM to be compatible with the game's mechanics.
  • Combat Commentator: Michael Buffer's clips from 63⅓ are reused for this game.
  • Compilation Re-release: The fangame is the sum of Basara-kun's past CF releases (his characters and the 63⅓ lifebars), already released for normal M.U.G.E.N, plus stages compiled from other authors and only with the screenpack and fonts made from scratch exclusively for this fangame.
  • Finishing Move: The "Claytalities" as in the N64 games.
  • Guest Fighter: Alongside 63⅓ guests Earthworm Jim and Boogerman, Kung Fu Man appears, continuing his story about the neverending search of his girlfriend, leading him to Klaymodo Island.
  • Pun-Based Title: Taking cues from the cancelled DSI Ware title, ClayFighter: Call of Putty, this game's title ribs on Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.
  • Stylistic Suck: The character trailers have cheaply written title screens with messy letters in a black background. The second main trailer has the Sculptor's Cut theme with a lowered pitch for a unsetting effect.
  • Turned Against Their Masters: In this fangame, some of the cloned characters like Octohead, Nanaman and Kangoo were against Kiln since they maintained their good personalities and turned to the good side along with Bad Mr. Frosty, Earthworm Jim and company.
  • Worthy Opponent: Being both martial artists but from different origins, Kung Pow and Kung Fu Man have a special intro where they make a reverence to each other before the fight starts.
