References to the Luc Besson film The Professional.

  • ANNIE: Last Hope have posters of this film in the opening subway stage, notably the iconic Face on the Cover featuring Leon himself and an alternate one featuring Mathilda. The game is set in 1996.
  • Stansfield's "EVERYONE!" has been emulated in other media such as Need for Speed: Most Wanted, Dan Vs., Megas XLR, Community, Hi-Fi RUSH and Call of Duty: Black Ops (which also had Oldman playing a villain)
  • The character of Annie in The New Batman Adventures bears a slight resemblance to Mathilda Lando.
  • One of the weapon perks in Pay Day 2 is named after the movie's title in America.
  • In Fallout: New Vegas there is a perk that's also named after the movie's American title complete with the same attire and potted plant as Leon. Additionally in Fallout 4, one of the player names available is Leon.
  • The protagonist of some Resident Evil games is named Leon S. Kennedy. His signature weapon? Matilda. In Resident Evil 4, the highest difficulty mode is called "Professional".
  • Borderlands 2 has a class mod for Zer0 the Assassin appropriately called "The Professional". In Borderlands 3, the character Zane also has a skill with the same name.
  • The Sniper from Team Fortress II has a set called "The Urban Professional".

  • Hank from Madness Combat has a getup costume that is directly copied from Leon.
  • Assassin's Creed: Unity has a young orphan named Leon who trains to become an assassin under the tutelage of Arno Dorian. This is of course a reference to the relationship between Leon and Mathilda in the film, which is also a cross-cultural connection since the developer Ubisoft is French just like Luc Besson.
  • An image of Stansfield saying "EVERYONE!" appears in the Extra Credits episode for Sengoku era Japan when describing the Imagawa clan's attempted march to Kyoto.
  • Occurs near the end of Last Man Down, when Commander Stone receives reports that John Wood has wiped out his platoon. Stone then orders for the rest of his men to hunt down John, "EVERYONE!" (he even pauses before engages into Suddenly Shouting like Stansfield)
  • Star Wars: The Clone Wars:
    • General Grievous shouts "EVERYTHING!" to one of his Battle Droids when ordering it to send Vulture Droids against Anakin in Downfall of a Droid.
    • During The Jedi Who Knew Too Much, Anakin tells Ashoka that revenge is not the Jedi way, mirroring what Leon told Mathilda about not letting revenge consume her.
  • The Stephen Chow horror comedy Out of the Dark has the main character named Leon and even dresses like him. He also carries a potted plant which in this movie acts as a radar that detects supernatural phenomenon.
