You must be at least this rich to ride.

Tropes:

  • Aesop Amnesia: Apparently Kaiba never learned his lesson on creating better technology that won't be hacked and used against him.
  • Anti-Role Model: Tristan's first act when facing a TV camera is to advocate for more violence on television.
  • Bait-and-Switch Comment: After learning that Joey and Rebecca were invited to the new tournament, Yugi asks Mokuba if Kaiba just picked out a bunch of names from a hat.
Mokuba: No! (beat) He made me do it...
  • Barely-Changed Dub Name: A couple of fans get into an argument over whether Yugi's last name is pronounced as Muto or Moto. Yugi assures them that it's actually "Back the hell off and give me some breathing room".
  • Brutal Honesty: Yugi shows no mercy in tearing apart a fanboy's deck which consists of only dragon cards with no other spell or trap cards.
  • Call-Back: Yugi goes into a Cluster F-Bomb after Yami switches with him, just like in Dirty Dueling.
  • The Cameo: Esper Roba appears in The Stinger as a Kaiba Land attendee.
  • Clingy Jealous Girl: Rebecca is exceptionally annoyed to see Vivian act so cuddly with her Yugi.
  • Comical Overreacting: Joey yells at Kaiba saying that they were stuck in his awesome Kaiba Dome for an hour while he was busy managing a cyber attack that could have ruined his reputation and life.
Joey: Yeah but... we were mildly inconvenienced and stuff!
  • Complexity Addiction: Kaiba orders Mokuba to do a variety of unnecessary tasks in order to make it so Joey can't participate in his tournament, even though he's already registered.
  • Continuity Nod:
    • Joey and Yugi mistake the 5-Headed Dragon for the Big 5 and list their various crimes to the boy duelist.
    • After confirming that Raphael from Season 4 is also programmed into the supercomputer he just defeated, Yami assures everyone that he "got his win back".
  • Comically Missing the Point: Yugi claims that the Pharoah, being a Pharoah, would much rather enjoy living in a palace over an RV. To which Joey retorts that living in an RV is better.
  • Discredited Meme: Stated by Tea In-Universe, after Tristan and Joey's joke regarding Pot of Greed.
Mokuba: You guys wanna see the coolest part of the park?
Joey: I hope it's the Tea Cup Ride, except instead of teacups, it's Pot of Greed!
Tristan: Pot of Greed? What does it do?
Tea: It prevents this joke from being funny.
  • Flashback Cut: Mokuba gives a flashback showing how Kaiba got over losing the God Cards quickly so he can plan his theme park stunt. It then shows him crying over losing the God Cards.
  • Fun with Acronyms: Kaiba decides to call his grand dueling event as the Fantastic Incredible Legendary League of Elite and Rare Accolades Regional Championship. I'm sure you can put together what that spells.
  • The Greatest Story Never Told: While Professor Hawkins was taking a message from Bakura, Tristan recounted the time he and Joey first met which Téa calls the most insane thing she ever heard.
  • Innocently Insensitive: Tea "comforts" a crying girl by saying that she and the other kids wouldn't be stuck in a theme park if her mommy and daddy really did love her.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: Yami decides to intervene and save everyone from the hacked computer program if only to interfere with everyone's lives just to show how much better he and Yugi are compared to them.
  • Last-Second Word Swap: While introducing himself to Yugi, Leon hastily goes with the last name "Wilson" to keep his secret identity a secret.
  • Missing Steps Plan: Yugi summarizes recovering the Pharoah's memories as returning back home, going to the museum, something something, and then he'll have the memories.
  • Mistaken Identity: Kaiba accuses the flamboyant businessman with a funny accent who's out to destroy him (Schroeder) of being Pegasus. Schroeder understands his accusation when he connects the dots.
  • Oh, Crap!: Yugi is disturbed to see his grandpa out of the basement and participating in the filler tournament.
Yugi: Okay, who let him out of the basement?!
  • O.O.C. Is Serious Business: During Vivian's introduction, Tea admits that she found someone that she doesn't want to be friends with.
  • Pleasure Island: Kaiba Land has several shades of this. While the rides are fun and the kids get to meet their favorite Duel Monsters in person, the twist is that everything is super expensive and the park has a zero-refund policy. One kid even mentions that he paid 200 dollars just to duel against a laggy computer.
  • Running Gag:
    • Whenever someone says the words "Grand Prix" (pronouncing it "Grand Pricks"), Joey will reply to them "You're a grand prick!"
    • The fanboy reminding everyone that "Dragons are the best!"
    • Joey trying, and failing, to figure out who "Heart of the Giant Worthless Garbage Bag Bitch" card is based on.
  • Scatterbrained Senior: Professor Hawkins answers a phone call from Bakura but completely forgets about it when he returns to the picnic table.
  • Screwed by the Lawyers: In-Universe. Now when Duke talks, "Sexy Back" doesn't play thanks to YouTube's copyright system. Tristan beatboxes for him in the background, but it's just not the same.
  • Self-Serving Memory: Rebecca remembers her duel with Yugi as a date that ended with them kissing.
  • Series Continuity Error: In-Universe. Mokuba reveals that they're opening the first-ever Kaiba Land but Rebecca proclaims that there already was a Kaiba Land back in Season 1. The little brother isn't going to let something like "continuity" get in the way of their grand opening.
  • Stealth Insult: When Kaiba asks Roland to give the arc's tournament a name that has the Kaiba brothers written all over it, he suggests the KaibaCorp Grand Prix (pronouncing it "Grand Pricks"). Roland insisted that something would be lost if they went with the original pronunciation.
  • Shout-Out:
    • When the KC DuelTek760 is infected by Sigfried, it starts the kid's duel with this phrase:
KC DuelTek760: DRAW YOUR FIRST CARD. YOU HAVE 20 SECONDS TO COMPLY.
  • Take a Third Option: In regards to whether Joey is from Japan or Brooklyn, New York, Roland reveals that he hails from Brooklyn, Japan.
  • Take That!:
Téa: It's like The Wizarding World if it were created by a cold, heartless human being. In other words, it's just like the Wizarding World.
  • Tempting Fate:
    • While talking with the Pharoah about finding his lost memories, Yugi expresses relief that they tied up all loose ends. It then cuts to Florence having an Evil Laugh in his secret lair.
    • Florence wraps up his Evil Gloating by proclaiming that nothing can stop him from taking revenge on the Pharoah. Only for the narrator of Dragonball Z Abridged to reveal that they will now begin the filler arc.
    • Yugi is glad to see that Mokuba is going to pick them up as he was worried about being dragged into another card game tournament with bizarre stakes. To his dismay, that's what Mokuba planned on doing.
  • This Is for Emphasis, Bitch!: Yugi starts the episode by asking a random squirrel if he wants to play a card game against him, the King of Games, only for the critter to chirp away.
Yugi: That's what I thought. Bitch.
  • Vitriolic Best Friends:
    • Yugi gives a spell card to one of his fans which he calls "Heart of the Giant Bitch" which reminds him of a close friend (it's Joey).
    • While Joey is stumped over who the supposed friend is, Tristan asks him to think about who is Yugi's dumbest friend. Duke gives a hint by having him pretend that Tristan doesn't exist.
